I am giving two stars for the Skyway post office, only because our post people are generally nice and I know they work hard to make sure we get our mail, despite often miserable conditions such as trucks that have no air conditioning. They deserve better and if this were for them alone it would be 5 stars. HOWEVER, the mailman's key or lock was damaged three weeks ago. Both the mailman and the building manager notified the post office. They said they would get it fixed and we had to go to the post office until it's fixed. Because they have such short business hours and no weekend hours, I have been unable to get mail for three weeks, including time sensitive mail. Multiple calls have been placed to get their repair person out here, to no end. I'm going to have to take off in order to go get my mail. It's pretty ridiculous. read more

The staff is usually not in the office during working hours - there is only one person that stays there - to handle customers. Trisha is extremely rude and unhelpful. She puts mail from other mailboxes in other boxes - this is a breach of confidentiality and privacy. If the employees don't want to work, insult customers and make their lives difficult then there is no good reason to come to work. Hopefully the DOGE team will take note and do something good here. read more

It's a post office... and it's by the house. Otherwise I'd never come here. There are rarely two employees working the counter. Usually there's a long line, with whoever is working either disgruntled or involved in a full-on conversation with whoever is behind the "privacy" partition. I too would leave zero or negative stars if I could. My mail often vanishes. I often end up with others mail. We have locked boxes, so no one is taking it on property. Either the mail person is helping themself or it's being delivered wrong like other mail is being delivered to me that isn't mine. I live in a complex with no gates, access codes, or leasing office. Yet for the last month suddenly I'm receiving notices that my packages can't be delivered because they can't reach my front door...what, since when?! Drive down the street. Walk down the stairs. Knock. Done. But I guess that's too difficult, it's easier to just lie and try again the next day, then suddenly it appears in the very box it could have been placed in the day before. Is the box full? Nope every time it's had a few pieces of junk mail in it. Same when they do finally deliver it. It sounds like someone can't keep up with their routes or is sleeping (as I've caught them doing before) and instead of staying and getting it done, they lie and deliver the next day. Get left a notice this week for a package that requires my signature. Only where they are supposed to put which office to pick it up at, is blank. So hopefully it's this one... The yelp page says they open at 8, google at 9. Which is it? EDIT: it opens at 9. This place needs a serious intervention from the Post Master. read more

Ordered a time sensitive package ( live plant ) in March.... The shipper promptly sent it out & turned it over to Skyway P.O. We are watching with amusement as this package has been out for delivery several times but there is some sort of problem with an apartment # ? Say what!!!!! I don't live in an apartment, I have lived at this residence for 35 + yrs..... the online label has my correct address, even if it didn't you would think they could find me by my name alone. If it ever shows as delivered it wasn't to us and may have gone to the address that our mail is sometimes delivered to & kept. read more

Hmm. Well. I was going to write a nice happy cheerful review, but it will end up not being all that friendly. My license plates were mailed from the dealership certified signature required, and they tried to deliver twice when we were out of town. The plates went up to the post office, where I called to check if I could come pick them up the next business day. The woman on the phone was incredibly sweet and friendly, and assured me they would certainly be there the next day. Today, we went to pick them up, rushing home before they closed at 5, and sure enough the plates were gone. They weren't able to tell us if they were returned to the dealership, but said we should assume they were... now we are in limbo. Also, the post office is very old. Like, circa 1965. Definitely long overdue for a facelift, but with all the bankruptcy issues they are facing, I wouldn't be surprised if this office shut down completely. read more

This is the worst post office, and has convinced me that USPS can no longer be relied upon to deliver packages. I have had packages delivered to the wrong address, or go missing, or the mailman signs my name for my packages and then leaves them on the porch, or they return a package to sender without holding them. Extremely rude employees who don't care when your packages go missing, don't bother to investigate, insist it is not their problem and is someone else's fault, interrupt you and yell at you when you try to explain, and refuse to be held accountable. From now on I will be requesting that senders use private companies, and this makes me extremely sad. I agree with a previous poster here that this post office needs to be investigated, but I have zero confidence in USPS or that anything will be done. read more

We haven't been receiving some of our packages. Packages that says has been delivered but never received. I was expecting a package and when I check the tracking it say that it was delivered a week ago. Went into the post office to inquire about it. The lady that was there was very rude and unhelpful. Saying that there's nothing that they can do about it. That it's our carrier. What do you mean there's nothing you can do about workers you hired, that aren't doing their job?? Aren't the post office responsible for who they hire???? So, that's it they don't have to deal with any consequences for their workers??? They should be allowed to mark a package delivered when clearly it has NOT been!! This is stealing and not to mention a big scam! Ive never had to deal with this before. Moved into the area 3 years ago, and noticed right away the service here is not the same as the service we received at our old neighborhood post office! What a disappointment. IMPORTANT INFO: 1) Today I sent a package which I calculated on the USPS site at $16.45 to ship 2 day Priority. I also checked the online auction sites, which provided the identical information. The woman at the counter tried to charge me 29.00 for this service and 13.78 for a 7 day ship. I declined and went to the other person at the same counter who wanted $16.45 as I calculated. This has happened several times, and I believe I have been cheated more than once. Always use the online shipping calculator before you send anything at this USPS station. They obviously have a postal thief or totally incompetent employee. 2) Mail service from this station has been terrible. Our neighbors get our mail and we get their mail every week. The manager at this station has done nothing to correct delivery issues. If you live in the area, go to the Riverton Station near the airport or the Renton Station in downtown Renton to mail packages. AVOID this USPS station. read more

By far THE WORST post office in the country (I've lived in many different places in the US). They have the worst service and worst carriers. Today I opened my mailbox and got angry, AGAIN. The mail that belonged to the residents three streets away was delivered to our box and this was not the first time. I'd said it's happened at least a dozen times already. Almost once a week we get mail that belongs to someone else, sometimes a block over, sometimes three, sometimes more. I have to take the mail and deliver it to the right address myself! The managers are the worst ...the carrier are the worst.... The carrier is so slow that at times I do not get my mail till 7 or 8 PM. I have reported this and the manager have actually called me a "Liar" when actually they are the liars. (Yes I am calling them liars) I followed the carrier a few times they are just so slow ... They need to shorten the routes and get more carrier and cut their pay if they can t handled the long routes so they can deliver before dark.. two days a week I would get my mail about three the rest I get at 5 to 8 pm.. My package was supposed to be delivered days ago, and that morning it said it was out for delivery, but by afternoon the tracking number said it is held at the post office "at customer request". I certainly made no such request, and I drove to the post office to pick up my package only to be met with rude, unhelpful clerks who couldn't find my package, or give me any information other than to come back tomorrow (which was a Saturday, a day they were closed). In addition to the incredibly horrendous service, when I was asked for my tracking number I held out my phone to show her and she just grabbed it (unsanitary! Ever heard of covid?) , entered the number, and walked into the back room without saying a word. The short black woman with glasses is the worst, her attitude is always awful and the manager was unhelpful, obviously doesnt know what shes doing. This branch is run by some of the most burned out, inept people I've ever seen. They've all been here as long as me (20+) years and they've never changed. they're rude, lazy, know very little about postal procedures and policies and will make you wait in line while they chit chat. The carriers often deliver your mail to the neighbor and don't actually knock on your door for packages and certified mail deliveries but instead, simply chuck the slip in your box, necessitating a much dreaded trip to the branch. The carrier apparently hangs on to the thing for the 3 attempts/days that they never actually make, so you've got a narrow window to retrieve it before it goes back. Fully half the time, they can't find the piece on your first trip there anyway. Recently slated for budget related closure, they squeeked by and are still open. read more

The worst Post Office in Seattle. I work from home and mail a lot, and this is the closest branch to me. About 80 % of the time I have gone there this month they have a sign up, locked doors, "on break", WTF? Is there only one person working there? No. Maybe take your break in shifts then? I have tried to drop off packages at 11 am, noon, 1 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm. "ON BREAK" every freakin time. Seriously? What a waste of my time. Even the blue box was "out of order" recently so I can't even leave small packages. Go to the PO in Georgetown, it's a longer drive for me but at least they seem to know what they are doing there. The Skyway PO is a joke, the people who work there may be nice but I wouldn't know because they are always "on break". read more

I have a lot of missing mail despite having a locked mailbox. It's very frusterating since I've had problems like missing bills and other important documents. I also don't seem to get mail delivery at all some days, then get a backlog delivered a few days later. The post office is also telling me that someone stole all of my mail from the holidays from the actual post office, which doesn't seem possible, since the brief hold I had placed on it was expired for almost a week before they claimed someone took it. I know for a fact that some of their statements were false, and have had to open an investigation with the postal inspector. Residents of this area beware, I think some of the mail theft is originating at the post office. read more
