I ask her why and was told they could only use the hand held scanner that does not give receipts. My response to her was I don't think that's correct. All the while yelling very loudly about the scanning of my express mail. I asked her why she was yelling at me just for asking for a receipt. She told me that's how she talks. A supervisor was walking by and I stopped her and asked does she hear her clerk yelling at a customer. She proceeded to say that's how she talks. As a supervisor to allow the clerk to carry on like that in the lobby is unexceptionable. The supervisor did do the transaction and printed a receipt. Would I go back to this branch absolutely not. They could use some serious retraining in this office.

My niece suggested that I get stamps from Costco, but they don't sell POSTCARD stamps. Yup. This post office was really close to Costco anyway, so it wasn't out of our way! Plus, the service was SUPER helpful! The kind, friendly woman was very personable and asked where we were from. She gave me tips on where to eat nearby and where to go for a good view of the city and the Space Needle. She was sharp because she looked at my postcards, knew that I was a tourist and tried to help me find beautiful views of Seattle like those on the postcards! She went over and beyond! She asked of i needed more than ten stamps - because they are "Forever" stamps and the price will be the same now and forever... She's correct. I purchased 20 stamps... LOL! We had a wonderful visit and ate where she suggested and will go to the park that she mentioned! Thank you so much!

That said, I do appreciate that the lobby remains open after business hours and offers a self-service kiosk, which is very convenient for those of us who need to ship packages after work. On my most recent visit, however, there was only one self-service machine available. The customer ahead of me was entering shipping information, and the kiosk was occupied for more than 20 minutes. Since the space appears large enough to accommodate another machine, adding a second kiosk would significantly improve the experience and reduce wait times during busy periods. The after-hours self-service option is a great feature, but its usefulness is limited when there's only one machine available. I hope USPS considers adding additional kiosks here--and perhaps at other locations as well--to better serve customers who rely on self-service shipping.

That means that they only take 4 applicants per day. Hot tip: come before 8am, as they will hand out a ticket for you to be seen, otherwise your best bet is to try another day. Unfortunately this renewal was not successful as the first, because I did not my bring everything that was required for my daughter so we went back for a walk-in. Luckily, we were first and I forgot her passport card, Thomas, the passport processor at the Renton Highland location allowed us to run home to get it while he process the others. I'm writing this review so I will remember it for next time. Also, if your minor is over 16 at the time of the application, it will be a 10-year passport, under 16 is only good for 5 years.

This post office (known as the "Kent Midway" location) is not easily spotted from the street. You…read morecould probably drive past it ten times and never know it's there, but It's tucked in the same strip mall as Dollar Tree on Pac Highway just south of Kent Des Moines Road. (You can also access it from 30th Avenue South.). But once you're there, this post office has plenty of parking. It also has weird hours. The hours on Yelp are wrong, and I suspect it's because you can't include split hours on Yelp. I've included a photo of the hours, I hope that helps. But it may not help enough... Can you go before work? Probably not. Can you go during your lunch hour? Also no. But, there are rarely more than a few people in line (I'm looking at you, Downtown Kent Post Office with your long lines!), and the employees are always friendly and efficient. For that reason, it might be worth it to find this little postal location.

My niece didn't know where the closest Post Office was. We thought that we should go to one on the way to Portland, Oregon (headed south), so we looked at a map...
