This stores owner's response absolutely screams, 'Autistic Children, and parents of - NOT WELCOME!'. How gross to suggest the mother of a child with a SOCIAL DISABILITY, would use her young child's MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS as an "excuse"! To be able to read the condescending, and apathetic nature of this response to what should be a valued customer, is sickening. I will be making sure to tell all of my local friend's and family to do business elsewhere, in light of this incident. Well when you lose a package you go some place else! I know it was where I was going, then I found this spot!!! The staff is soo friendly and they answer all my questions. I have been coming for almost two months and I'm sold!!! The parking for a huge box sucks but you can un load, leave it in there and then park! Makes sense. This is the worst UPS store I've been to - the lady that "helped" me was so rude. She seemed almost delighted to throw up barrier after barrier for why she couldn't help me. Owner is a witch. I've patronized the store for years, and ignored her rudeness because this location is close to home. I needed notary service (recertification of a previously electronically completed I-9 during Covid) that she confirmed both by phone and in person that she could provide. I needed to go home to reprint the form (with better margins, part of the bottom was cut off) and told her I would return the next day. She agreed. The following day, I brought the form, instructions from employer on how to complete, and all documents. She acted confused, as though the previous day's conversation never happened. She refused to listen, made excuses and refused to sign the form. She hid behind her notary authority to refuse service. No clear explanation (she barely speaks English) she just rambled on nonsensically, refused to provide her name, but said she was the owner. Terrible person, terrible service. read more

I've used this store for the past several years and I have never ONCE seen any rude behavior nor elevated emotions of any kind. Just friendly, consistent service. I've come in when they've been busy, come in when they were empty -- processed returns, shipped items, sent overnight items -- I've had nothing but smiles and positive attitudes, even during the pandemic when we've all been a little stressed out and near our wits' end. I HAVE, however, come in and seen unreasonable customers yelling at the staff, demanding they do things that weren't their responsibility, or assuming it was UPS World Headquarters. Got in line, used the tape they had on the table where you wait in line, to tape my box (they have tape at the registers too, for customers, but I thought I'd try to get the package ready as there were others in line behind me). I bring my package to the woman at the register and she says, "are you going to pay for the tape you used?" - I"m like, you mean that tape you have there on the table? I thought that's for us to use? She says, "didn't you notice the price tag?" No, I didn't. They would not serve me unless I agreed to pay for the tape. I left and will never return. I'm pleased to know that one person in April had good service. I was in at 9:06a.m. to beat any lines. I had questions about box sizes, weights, even the correct zip codes ready. Fairly new young lady was trying her best till another employee of some attitude of management jumped in & told me to look it up online. Thanks, I'll try that. Zip, zip, zip. No wonder stock price is down for UPS. Customer Service means attention, some patience & a better attitude. Won't be using this location again. Best service I ever had was at the big location South center mall area. Remember wait people, you may lose some of your hearing, be a little slower - try some polite attitude to your elders who have given you kindness and respect. I called first to confirm they had a notary on-site and also if they had two people who could serve as a witness. Dale was kind and patient, and explained that he'd likely have two staff members available after 5 pm. I called again a few days later to double check if there were two people available (in addition to notary) who could serve as a witness, and Mi-hee (sp?) was also very kind and she confirmed there was at the moment. When I got there, they both quickly helped me and were very personable and efficient. Just witnessed one of the employees here deny a poor man trying to set down a heavy package (when he walked through the door to an empty lobby with no line) and unnecessarily tell him that he must walk all the way through the roped line despite no one being in the office. The customer was clearly startled and confused by the oddly rude attitude from this employee (female brunette in her 50s). She must have not seen me on my phone by the door because it was obviously a weird ego trip she was taking out on this random customer. I've seen her here at the Burien store for at least a year so she's definitely not a new employee. Super weird. read more

This UPS store location was excellent. I have been going to the location in the Alaska Junction for a long time. But I don't ever enjoy going mostly because it's not a very friendly or pleasant experience. I chose the other location to do Amazon returns. I called first on Thursday and the person I spoke to was so friendly and helpful I assumed she was the manager. I took my packages the next day. First thing I noticed was the store front itself. Very well kept, colorful, welcoming. Inside the same thing and the two employees were in uniforms that coordinated with the store's aesthetic. The Covid protocols were excellent. The two staff members very professional and friendly. I did not feel like I was an inconvenience like I do in the other site. Again I assumed they were management. Nope. The manager was out of town and yet the standards of the store were still maintained. I don't use Yelp. I downloaded the app specifically to leave this review. I went in today, holding a 30 lb box, there was two cashiers, another teller walking around, after 10 minutes, she came and barked at me where the line started, which i was at the tail of its beginning, and I told her "you could have told me that 1o minutes ago" and she said "Excuse me" and I said "i am the client, please treat me with respect, I have been waiting patiently" and which time she went and hid in the back, as the manager kicked me out. If you have incompettent employees and you are incompetent yourself, you probably feel great defending your employee, but the fact is you had patient customers and a lazy, rude employee. Almost 2 weeks ago I sent a package that barely weighed 3 pounds to the destination Honduras which I paid $200. They call my friend and they tell him that he needs to pay an additional $200 in order to release him the package, cancel custom clearance, pay taxes AND pay the days the package has been in warehouse which they never notified my friend about. I was unhappy when the corporate UPS forced them to change their counters and rugs from bright colors to the bland brown and tan. Of UPS. The staff have been unfailingly helpful, kind, and cheerful. As I've gone from a person steady on my feet to one using a cane and unable to carry much, they have adjusted and provided me with help farm beyond their job requirements. This UPS store in a treasure amid a community of diversity, poor, middle income, and those with high incomes. The owners live in the community. Arrived before open, so was present when the doors opened at 9am, one employee behind the counter helping customers, one (assumed) employee walking around on the phone behind the counter who never helped anyone and eventually left. One customer took over 20 mins to help, partially because they were having a pleasant conversation about what was in the package, and the situation surrounding her daughter needing a new phone. It also took a long time because the employee interrupted what they were doing, assisting a paying customer in the middle of a transaction, to go help another customer who arrived after everyone waiting in line did, four separate times. I have visited this store many times recently since moving to Seattle. I do not have a printer and have needed legal papers to be printed. This location has provided EXCELLENT service during every visit. The employees are knowledgeable and efficient even when they are busy juggling many customers. I have appreciated the patience when I needed assistance with finding items on my telephone or on a web site that I had trouble finding. Some of these reviews are bizarre, from someone hating all of UPS, to complaining about the door opening outwards (uh, fire codes are a thing). I have no idea if this is under new management in the last couple years, but I've been dealing with them for a couple months now, and it's been pretty good. Yes, they're not a Fedex Kinko's, they can't print a full-bleed poster for you. They're a UPS store, they ship and receive packages, and they have mailboxes. They're more relaxed than another UPS store I deal with, but they usually aren't swamped either. They've always been friendly though. If you want to ship something or get a mailbox to have them receive your mail & packages, this is your place. Only drawback I can see is they're closed Sunday, so if you need that, well, that sucks. So, other than limited hours, I can't see cause for complaint, at least not as they are in their current state. Again, no idea how they were a couple years ago. read more

I'm a disabled man, so I have to plan things in advance, which in this case included getting an estimate for shipping an Epson printer, so that I'd know how much to charge the buyer who purchased it on Ebay for $139. The estimate was approximately $43 via UPS, so I figured that into the price. Even though the printer was in it's original box, the buyer asked if I could put it in a larger box, and/or wrap it in sturdy brown mailing paper for extra protection. I cautioned him that because UPS charges by the size of the box, this could increase the cost of shipping, so I was willing to wrap it, actually double-wrap it in mailing paper, which I did, and which was very difficult for me because of my disability. But I told him I couldn't afford to put it in a larger box. I arranged a ride to the UPS store, and was shocked when the young clerk said they couldn't accept wrapped packages, no matter how sturdy, and how much tape was used, so they'd have to put it in a larger box. Doing so more than DOUBLED the shipping cost -- way up to $92 dollars -- cutting my profit from $97 to only $58 dollars. And on top of that, almost immediately after putting the printer into the larger box, the clerk DROPPED it, right in front of everyone, including the manager, and no one made any attempt to apologize or check to see if it was still in one piece. I should've said something, but was so stunned and stressed that I just needed to get out of there. Very disappointed... read more
