I'm not a fan of this post office off the two experiences I've had. The first time I had to come staff weren't very friendly. I had a notice in my mailbox that it was too full so I had to pick up from the post office. My issue and concern with them was that I've been at this address for 3 years and yet somehow 90% of my mail is addressed too 10 DIFFERENT people. I explained that I'm the only person at this address and that I need them to STOP delivering other peoples mail to my box so I don't have this issue in the future.. The lady at the desk said there isn't much they can do That was infuriating. (I try to maintain most of my mail as paperless, to prevent needless papers. So to have a 'Full' mailbox and it's not even my mail is ridiculous. **NOTE The name plate in my mailbox is ONLY my name so it's honestly ridiculous.) The second issue I've ran into, they couldn't deliver a package to my door step on a SUNDAY. Since when do they deliver or are they even open on sundays. Today is Monday March 23rd and I received a message from Amazon saying USPS attempted to deliver my package on March 22nd (Sunday) but they couldn't access Drive way or Door. I was home the whole day and didn't hear anyone. However, what's concerning is that in my 3 years of living there USPS has NEVER delivered to my front door it's always been to the leasing office. So, I contacted USPS, they also said it was weird and provided me with the locations direct number and said I should speak with the supervisor. Yeah... I've attempted to call the location 4x throughout the span of 2hrs and the phone just rings or they've hung up. I see why they have 2.5 stars. So, now I'll have to drive there and stand in the ridiculous line they ALWAYS have to simply speak with someone because they refrain from answering. Again since when do they deliver on Sundays, and then calling the location to not get a response is utterly ANNOYING. So now I have to go in to simply ask what happened because my package not only WASNT delivered, but the attempt was made on a SUNDAY, and not dropped off at the leasing office PER USUAL. read more

Another notable experience that's lingering like a bad fart! Last week I ordered a small pack of 20v fuses for my rig from Amazon. These fuses are significant because they're micros, not mini fuses. The initial delivery expectancy was the 25th of May which was Sunday...it is now Wednesday and all I'm receiving are excuses and confusion! Yesterday I was told that my package was sent to the wrong zip code. Everyday I check my mailbox, the ads and my bills are there but they cannot manage to deliver a small package of fuses! Today I escalated to a supervisor, or what I thought was a supervis... He wasn't. After essentially reciting the canned text I asked this supervisor if there was someone over him I could speak with; I explained the variety of excuses I'd received and with the addition of him telling I'm going to have to wait another 3 days, I asked if there was a higher authority then him and he replied that I should call the postmaster general in Washington D.C., that's when I ended the call and started this yelp! I needed a resolution and got a asinine response! Who else thinks the fuses evaporated or fell off the truck?! read more

OMG this place is unreal for stupidity. So to get a PRIORITY MAIL simple box I waited 20 minutes in line watching some fool mail a gym bag to Buffalo. Now before you boo & hissss me I need to share he was not dropping in a box, NO he taped the handle and some label to a bag. The fact this is allowed is ridiculous but to suck up time for indulging this a-hole is beyond me. I'd be saying NEXT and pointing to the door. Come on man but a box and ship like a normal person would and for the retiring employee at counter you need to WAKE THE " F " UP and no let this happen. read more

Been to this post office twice , first time was great a black older lady helped me with no problems. This time around today i went in to the post office because i just came back from vacation and noticed that they had took my mail back to the facility due to it being full . I was never aware in my 27 years of living that they could remove the mail back to the facility due to that . Well when i went to go grab my stuff and ask i was met with a very rude employee by the name of mora . Today was a little crowed so i can understand being overwhelmed with that as i was a service worker . But when i see you deliberately laughing and conversing with white / fair skin people then me as a darker black come up and you have an attitude then i have a problem. I simply came in retrieve my mail and ask was it normal for them to take it without someone's knowledge. She then proceeds to give me a snarky tone and attitude through the whole interaction. I truly don't appreciate that if you're gonna be nice to the people in front of me then be an ass as soon as i get to the counter then you need to find a new job where you don't talk to people . That is discrimination and down right disrespectful especially since it's a place where all kinds of race/ nationalities use to send and receive their mail . It is 2025 please do better in training employees to be kind to EVERYONE read more

I read lots of not good reviews of this location but I had an excellent customer service not only once but twice at this place. All staff are super friendly and helpful. I made a mistake not writing a delivery address before dropping an important mail at their collection mail box at the lobby after hours. Why does our PO suck? I was told by my tracking that there was a failed delivery attempt and directions were left, nothing was left but I said ok and assumed maybe my mailbox was too full. Usually Target orders come straight to my door though and not my mailbox, I was near the door when they said they tried. I cleaned it out and called them to inquire about another attempt, was put on hold multiple times and met with a terrible attitude but managed to get another delivery attempt made. They should have brought it today, again I was near the door but nothing and my mailbox was entirely empty so that wasn't the issue but yet another somehow failed delivery with my package now being sent back to Target. I recently had a few service issues, and I wanted to give praise to the supervisor (manager?) at this location. In both instances she took ownership of the issues, even when one was not the fault of this branch. That was much appreciated. Counter staff also seem upbeat and that's indicative of a decent work environment IMO. read more

If I could give less stars, I would. Ive been living in the area serviced by this postal office for five years and its been the worst postal service Ive ever experienced. They routinely sit on my partner's necessary medication for days to the point where I have to go pick it up in person from the pharmacy because they've run out due to the negligence of the post office. They routinely refuse to walk up to the door to knock for deliveries that wont fit in the mailbox (despite my partner being home to accept them), and put the "sorry we missed you" sticker in the mailbox. We live in an apartment that has its own mailbox, clearly labeled, yet they regularly mix up our mail with our neighbors. Absolutely abysmal service and clearly they've got a problem with lazy delivery drivers. read more

My package was paid for and shipped from CA (shipping $33, box $8 and expedited $10). The postal worker did not deliver it to my work, because the note said, no one was here... we work 7am-6pm, SOMEONE was here at 10:22am! The note also said that payment was required - this was already paid for, $51 freaking dollars! When I went to pick up the package, the folks behind the desk said a balance was owed, and when I requested what documentation they would need to prove it was paid, I got a shrug... helpful. I had to return again the following day when a Supervisor would be there. And don't even get me started on the condition of the box! Half of the package that was marked ALL OVER with "fragile" stamps, was smashed in, at which my inquiry resulted in, again, a shrug. So how was it resolved? The Supervisor flattened out the busted up corners of the box and WHAT DO YA KNOW?? There was a sticker right there showing payment. Oh man. Am I seriously reviewing the post office right now? I must warn others . These people must have sold their souls for a job at the postal service. I went to mail a letter. The line was out the door. The two women working were about as friendly as rabid coyotes. The one decides its break time! Doesn't matter that there is a massive line of people and now its just one employee to yell at everyone. There is no reason to treat people so rudely. If you do not like your job then find something else. There was a 'now hiring' paper on the counter. I've lived in Burien for many years and I use Burien's post office often. The service is usually okay...usually in and out fairly quickly depending on the transaction. Lately, I've been printing my own shipping labels and taking the packages to drop off by simply setting them on the counter and that's it. The PO is supposed to open at 8:30 am. I was there at that time (and so was another guy but the doors were still locked and nobody in sight at the counter. At 8:35, still nobody. At 8:40, still nobody. I knocked on the glass door 4-5 times. Nobody came to open up, so I left. People have to work, go places and do things. Not opening on time costs customers time and money. This is NOT a good operating policy. Now I have to go back and do this again. Disappointed, to say the least. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Shockingly bad. First time I went here the lady at the front desk yelled at me for addressing my package incorrectly, raising her voice at me and telling me to get out of the way so she could help somebody who was actually ready. There was nobody in line behind me at all. When I got it right she scolded me again for putting the address sticker off-center on the box. I figured she might just be having a bad day. Second time I went there the same lady was there. I was afraid of making her angry, so I took my time and made sure everything was right before I got to the front. Still got mocked. She rolled her eyes at what she thought was a stupid question, and when I tried to apologize for it scolded me again, saying "I can only do one thing at a time." What was I even asking you to do?? I told her to stop being rude and she stopped speaking to me altogether. Do yourself a favor and go to a different post office, even if it's out of your way. Well, it is maddening, Yelp, that I wrote a whole review and you lost it. But I will begin again because I am annoyed by my experience at the Burien post office today and the last four times I have gone there. The clerk (an older AA woman) was an impatient, abrupt bully who ridiculed and flustered me, trying to get other customers to join her. I could hardly focus. She was so mean. I had my special needs grandson with me who suffers from anxiety. She triggered him. I felt triggered, too. I decided to go to a local coffee stand after, then panicking when I could not find my wallet. I explained I had been to the local post office. Before I could finish my sentence she said, "Isn't that a horrible place? They are so impatient and ascerbic. I live across the street but I will not go there." That said a lot to me. Also, there is a bad natural gas smell in the lobby. What a mess that place is! I will avoid it like the plague. I don't need the toxic vitriol. And I am a supporter of the USPS as a general rule. City of Burien, you should address this. Think of the way you are trying to market the city as a friendly destination place. The post office is counterproductive to your mission. Let the lady retire already! And hire another body to dispel the long line. In the future, I'll go to my favorite post office in Georgetown. read more

The level of ignorance is outstanding. I had two packages sent out to me for delivery through the US Post Office, both of them arrived at this location and they only gave me one and claimed the second package was out for delivery. It's been a week of calling the post office and trying to find information pertaining to the second package and all they say is that they can't find it. Then today they call us telling us that they sent it back to the sender because it couldn't be delivered when we've contacted them multiple times to just hang on to it and we'd pick it up on time. When I voiced my frustrations with Marisa the shift supervisor all she would say is we got one package but the second one I don't know why it was sent back! And she simply hung up on me instead of trying to find a solution. Unprofessional and idiotic to say the lease! Own up to your mistake and fix it instead of simply hanging up on paying customers! I have another one now, tracking shows it went to the Buried Post Office almost a week ago. Yet, not delivered so far. Suspense. Will this become another lost item? The people in this office are the most miserable people I've ever seen. They're rude, hostile, childish, and just bizarre. They seem to be on their last leg. One person repeatedly just stares at people when asked the most basic questions. She never answers. People look around wondering what's going on. Others are just nasty.
