Every time I've gone into this location, one of the guys working there always makes me feel like I've interrupted him and am bothering him. On more then one occasion with others in the store he's complained about being so busy or something not working. As customers, we shouldn't hear that. I get it, but it's not appropriate to vent in front of customers. This last time I had a couple Amazon returns and he told me to use the self-checkout machine. I told him it told me to see an Associate. He said it was because one needed to be bagged by them but I can use it for the other one. So I tried but the box was too big for the bags they provide and it said see an associate. I gave up and drove down to the UPS store by Fred Meyer and was in and out in under 2 mins. Today, I am adding this update after another frustrating experience. One of the UPS employees insisted that my package was not a UPS package, despite the fact that it clearly appeared in my UPS app with the correct tracking number and full delivery history. She was adamant that I would need to pay a $15 fee to retrieve it, repeatedly stating that it was "not a UPS package." Fortunately, a gentleman stepped in and resolved the situation, for which I am grateful. However, due to multiple negative experiences at this location over time, my star rating for this UPS location remains unchanged. The only times/reason I will come to this location is if I HAVE to (meaning my package was for some reason delivered to this UPS Access Point), but otherwise, I am more than willing to drive the distance to go to a different UPS, no matter how far, to avoid this location. read more

New owners/management are terrible. No customer service. I now try to avoid this place as much as possible and go to the UPS store at Benson Hill next to the Fred Meyer gas station if I can. The South Asian lady who is the manager is literally the worse. Always has a terrible attitude and has no sense of customer service. Examples of what is going on there: 1. Drop off a pre-printed shipping label/package, get it scanned and put on the scale. Lady then tells me to take the box and go move it to the side of the counter for her, not even ask. The box wasn't even heavy. Why am I doing their job? 2. Constant nagging about shipping boxes. I guess a lot of amazon returns happen here. They always try to refuse to accept the package if it is in the original box, not the shipping box. They say Amazon won't accept it which is total nonsense as this has never been the case with the previous owner/management. I am not sure if this is an attempt to upsell their packing material or what, but Amazon sometimes ships directly in manufacturer packaging anyways. I have also been asked to show them a picture with the original label on the box which is even more ridiculous. Other times when I shipped non amazon packages to people, they are still trying to tell me the same nonsense and asking me the contents of the box which is absolutely none of their business. All I can say is avoid, avoid, avoid if you can. A 5-minute interaction can ruin your day. Look at all the recent google reviews since new management took over. read more

I was returning an Amazon package and did the Amazon return to a UPS store with QR code I do understand I did not bring the Amazon box but I brought the box that the item came in. she explained to me that it was customer packaged and that they need to charge for a shipping box. I was like OK whatever no big deal she said she wasn't going charge me for packaging the box but just the box itself I was charged $10 for a shipping box. As soon as I was handed my receipt and was walking out. I held the door open for another person and I looked back and she stuck the shipping label on the box I brought and dropped it in the shipping tote... really what did I just spend $10 for? read more

Today I was mailing one pair of earrings to California and she quoted me a $28 price using UPS and a $22 price using USPS. I drove down to the post office who mailed them for $5 and change. Highly recommend going to another ups if you absolutely have to visit an ups store the lady who I assume to be the owner charged me $10.45 for a "shipping" box when the "moving "box is $3.17 when i asked her what the reason was she began to explain that the shipping box is thicker so it's better for shipping I said ma'am I have sent over 10,000 boxes out in my lifetime a moving box is just as suffice . The contents in my box were $20 worth of toys .. I paid $75 to ship $20 worth of toys to my daughter because she has no room to pack it in her luggage .. Very bad customer service under new management, blaming other vendors for this store's own mistakes. This happened to me today, but I've previously witnessed the same clerk telling other customers that if their store received an item, then it was processed by them. First of all, this is an impossible claim for any human to make, because we all occasionally make mistakes, and the fact that I heard her make this exact same claim to two other customers before on two separate occasions demonstrates this wasn't an isolated incident. She also refused to look up their Amazon reference number for my unprocessed return from my drop-off receipt, claiming it's only an Amazon tracking number, and so there would have been no UPS tracking number associated with my returned item. I thanked her for that clarification, but despite my having displayed no impatience toward her, she proceeded to chide me loudly as I walked toward the door, so everyone in the store could hear her, that I should be more patient at this time of year because everyone is very busy. When I spoke to an Amazon customer service agent just now, she told me it would have been sent by the store to Amazon with a UPS tracking number, but that absent that she would manually process my refund for me. Gee, I guess UPS Stores combine Amazon returns into packages that are then sent to Amazon with UPS shipping labels on them. What a surprise! You should avoid this store. read more

I would avoid this UPS store at all costs. I brought in papers to be spiral bound. They were busy so they had to set it aside and "call" me when it was done. Fair, fine. Over a week passed, no update. I called on a Monday. They were busy and said they had a line of customers. Fair, fine. They called end of the day and then said it was finally "ready". I go in to pick it up. The order was not complete, there was no front or back cover. I paid the exorbitant fee of about $30. I noticed the covers were not on there. They took it back and said it would take a bit to fix it. Fair, fine. I came back a bit later, and they handed it to me. It had the covers on it this time but half the pages were loose and the spiral binding had torn the pages and/or the pages were punched so close to the edge that they ripped out easily with the slightest handling. I was so over it I just left. I've also been here a few times in the past and the customer service was slow and unhelpful. I would honestly travel farther and pay more to avoid this frustration and shoddy work. read more

Horrible customer service since the new owners took over! I had a mailbox at this UPS store since the fall of 2011. Ti, the previous owner was amazing! When the new owners took over they changed the lock on my box so my key no longer worked. When it first happened, I actually spoke to Ti, the previous owner about it and he said she had changed locks and would be getting a new key for me. Every time I went in to pick up my mail I had to stand in line and wait for them to get my mail out of my box wasting my time. Every time I told them my key didn't work and asked for a new one. Every time I was told they only had the one key in the back and that they would get me a copy. I spoke in person to both the new owners (husband at least once and wife at least 3 times) and to one of their employees every time I went in to get my mail. After a year of this, I was fed up. When my box rent came due, I told the girl at the front desk that I was going to pay for only one more month's rent and then wanted to close out my box. She did not tell me I needed to do anything. Then about 6 months later, I got a call from the new owner saying I needed to come in to get my mail. When I stopped by today to get my mail, she wanted me to back pay for the mailbox in order for her to give me my mail stating that since I hadn't returned my key when I asked to close my box months ago, that I hadn't really closed out my box and that I owed them money. I pointed out that the key didn't even work after she changed the lock as I had told them numerous times so it seemed a moot point to turn in a key that didn't even work. She denied changing the locks and said she didnt remember me ever asking for a key because my key didnt work. Unbelievable!! I refused to pay but she wouldn't give me my mail or let me give her a forwarding address for any future mail that might come. By law, according to the U.S. postal service website, mailbox companies are required to forward mail for 6 months. And because of that the USPS won't allow a change of address to be submitted. read more

My best friend and I came to photocopy some important legal documents about 15 minutes before they closed. Deb was so wonderful!! She was patient and very accommodating, encouraging us to complete our project as it was getting close to the end of the store hours. She recognized our efforts to hurry and never made us feel like we were burdensome. My friend lives nearby and, when we were discussing places to make the copies, both she and some neighbors spoke highly of this location and its owner, Ti. Super friendly, responsive, and make sure to do a good job with their packaging and efficiency in doing things. What else would you want? Especially in the times where we are spoiled by Amazon Hub Counters where you can basically drop the unpackaged items and leave with a refund, going to the UPS store seems like an extra burden nowadays. The Fairwood UPS location is here to relieve that burden and provide service that makes you think, wouldn't it be nice to stop by again? Immediately when you come in, they call out saying it'll be a moment, followed by quick processing and asking if there was anything they could do for you. Printed return? Taping to bind everything? The staff (young lady and young man) are always courteous. The Owner/ older Asian man is so rude. We saw him berating an older woman in front of us because she didn't understand the Amazon returns. Maybe he thought she was to being lazy? Who knows, but he wasn't having it.. Also, they will not accept packages that don't have the correct battery label. It is mandatory for the label to be printed in red colored ink. The Owner will reject your package if you don't comply. I just don't understand why he doesn't keep additional printed labels on hand. He didn't offer any alternatives. I have a black and white printer, but not a colored printer, so I had to return home and wait weeks before I could find a friend to print one for me. Overall my experience has never been all out bad. Just low grade aggravating. As I write this review, Im realizing that I kind of dread going to that location and will let return packages sit for weeks. Life is hard. The last thing I need to worry about is potential flared tempers at the package store. Maybe I should just find another location. read more

This is the closest UPS store to me so I have gone multiple times. Every time the man working (who always seems to be working) will always complain about how the box are retaped or the label are covered. Then suggests I buy their tape in store to retake or sends me home. I always witnessed him accept a ripped open Amazon bag without a box from a customer when last time I was in he sent me home for the exact same thing. I would avoid this UPS at all costs. read more

If I could give zero reviews I would. I've come to this location a few times to drop off pre-paid packages, but never again. There were two groups of people waiting outside and we made sure to ask them if they had pre-paid as well. They stated no, so we figured they were told to wait outside until it was their turn to pay. We walk in, drop off our package, like we've always done in the past, and were abruptly yelled at and scolded like children for "cutting in line" by a man behind the counter. I've been told by their employees in the past to NOT wait in line if I've pre-paid, to just drop off and go. Never EVER again will I go to this location. A couple months ago I wasn't real pleased when I brought a package in to mail back to Amazon and was told I would need to buy tape to package it up. At first, I wasn't happy with that but then found out just how many packages they ship back for Amazon with very little profit margin. It makes sense they can't use their own resources for Amazon packages without some compensation. Since then, they have gotten me in and out quickly and without issues. Then yesterday, I had to ship a HUGE RV cover that I couldn't fit into a box. The staff was INCREDIBLE going way out of their way to help me get it taken care of - it was a colossal pain and would've been impossible if not for their special help. Everything time I come up wether the box is tape or label on they micromanage how we ship boxes out. Tape up all sides so no holes, remove all labels, make sure label states the needed info, bring your own tape, just little things makes the experience unpleasant. read more

I did not know it was something crazy to ask them to do. I came in and asked the man if he could tape up my box and handed him a prepaid label. He laughed and said I'm not taping that up. So. Came in with an important, time sensitive, document on 3/7/16, paid $11 for a 2 day priority shipping through UPS, to be delivered on 3/10/16. Tried to track my order number on the UPS site, nothing. So we called. It apparently isn't even a UPS tracking number, even though they told us to use this number and go on the UPS site to track it. The guy on the phone told us to go on the the postal service website and track it there - what would make us even think to do that when we were in a UPS store to have it UPS delivered? WHAT. So basically, they took our document and put it through snail mail through the regular old post office - yet still charged us that $11. Could've gone to the post office ourselves and done it for the cost of an envelope and stamp! SNEAKY AF. Won't ever come back here....except to light them up and get our money we paid for nothing back. read more

Let me first start out by saying, I recently moved to the Kent, WA area a few months ago from the UK. It's been a tad difficult trying to navigate my way around the neighborhood. I needed to go to the parcel shop for some copies. The gentleman there, I believe his name was Robert, assisted me. It was the gent with the cat tattoos if botched his name. Robert, has got to be one of the most welcoming spirits that I've encountered since moving. His welcoming demeanor and above and beyond behavior while assisting me was worth mentioning. You can tell that this gent truly loves his work and was willing to go step by step with me on the copy process, laying out my options and I ended up spending a bit more than I planned, but was VERY happy with his recommendation for the paper stock. Very appreciative that he took the time to listen and understand my needs, then suggested the best product for what I needed. Glad to know there's still a few happy, professional people out there. If you're ever in need of assistance I would certainly look for this gent while at the shop! The old white lady who works there almost whenever I go there seems to think that as a customer, I should know exactly how UPS works and my presence is an extreme inconvenience. I have also had a bad experience with the old asian man who is mentioned in other reviews where I was told the same thing three times in a row as if I didn't hear the first time. I don't work at UPS but those two grumpy people seem to think that I should know exactly how UPS works and I should be able to read their minds. I came into the store looking for help printing a picture. I am guessing that the man that helped me is either the owner or the manager. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He also understood my time restraints and was able to get me my picture printed same day, and within hours! I was very impressed and will use them again when needed. read more

Recently I shipped a 1927 Singer sewing machine from Washington to northern California. It was a family heirloom and I was definitely concerned about assuring it arrived to my Nana in perfect fashion and of course without damage. The young man behind the counter was more than helpful and advised me not only in my shipping options but also my packaging options. As my decisions were settled, I wound up spending $15 in packaging and $40 in shipping which included $500 in insurance. Admittedly, I was a little hesitant when he told me that I could either wait an hour and oversee the packaging or could leave. Having received excellent service from this young man, I figured he had it all under control. All of that being said, my Nana received the large package within the expected delivery timeline and indicated the sewing machine was extremely well packaged. Ultimately, the sewing machine arrived in perfect fashion and I will use this UPS Store again in the future. One last thing...as a USAA member, UPS Stores deposit cash into your accounts due to the lack of USAA brick and mortar locations. read more

This UPS store has got to be the best one I have ever been to in my life. The service was excellent and Ti Vuong (the owner and notary there) went above and beyond in making sure all of our needs were met. I came here needing to notarize some forms for temporary guardianship since my aunt is moving to Germany next week. Ti made sure we had everything we needed to take care of before the move. He even walked my aunt through their mailbox service that sends anything we want to the new address whenever we have new mail or packages. The store is very neatly organized and all of the employees are extremely friendly and helpful! Emailed an Adobe file to the location, then went in today to have 8 color copies produced then bound. Was told that this is the busiest shipping day of the year and won't be able to get to it. That there is customers coming in with packages to be shipped for the Holidays, and that has a priority. So I guess essentially that if I wasn't shipping a package today, I was not that important.
