Some of the bad reviews at this business was due to the previous owner. I think the current owners Kelly and David bought it in 2021 or so. They are the nicest friendliest people that you'll ever meet. In fact, all the staff are really nice. If you want to avoid the crowd at USPS, you can just come here to ship out your items. Rather fantastic service today and always... Two times in the last six weeks, I have needed a rush job. And both times, these folks have come through perfectly, with a great attitude and the partnership to get impossible things done. In my case, it was color printing jobs. Other firms charged twice as much, and could only promise results in terms of a day, or days. These folks responded within minutes. I sent an email w a PDF to print... It was completed before I could arrive to pick it up 20min later. I read through the reviews here, especially noting the negative ones. I notice that they are all quite some time in the past. I don't know what was going on then, but my experience is exactly the opposite. Perhaps they made the necessary changes either in staff or policies? Regardless of those issues, it seems to be in the past now. Whatever it is, I recommend them unequivocally. In times past I have used the Kinko's just down the street. That is changed now. Unbelievably unhelpful, rude and made me feel like I was wasting their time.I have been shipping with this place during the holidays for years, but they lost my business forever today. When I came into the empty store one guy is siting on the counter watching the Seahawks, and the other was having a personal phone conversation. I brought in a box to ship that needed to be wrapped for shipping, all they wanted to do was sell me a bigger box or packaging. This is a small box 2X8X14. As a solution I asked for a couple of pieces of copy paper and some shipping tape. This seemed like it pained them to offer it. As I was wrapping my package, myself, and had used all of 20 inches of packing tape, the woman says "that tape is expensive you know." I told them to forget it and walked out. I would have happily paid for the tape and paper. But now I will NEVER go back. read more

The owner assisted us and he was very friendly, professional, helpful and advised us in the most cost efficient manner to ship our items. He really took time to talk with us and understand what we needed despite the fact that things were busy because of the holiday seasons. Was the price cheap? No. But it was not expensive either. Summary: Small-business with good customer service Due to some recent mail thefts in our neighborhood, I started searching for an alternate method of receiving snail mail. After several friends recommended Mail Clinic on Gilman, I went down and gave it a look. They have all the services you'd expect: mail boxes, copying, notary, etc., plus, they're a drop location for Comcast equipment to boot. But the best thing about this place is their customer service. The owner/manager is usually around, and he's a really nice guy. The other employees act like owners...that is, they treat the customers well and are competent. Prices are reasonable, you can get access to the lobby to check your box after hours ( you get a code for the door), and everything else just seems to work the way it should. Mail Clinic is they type of small business that really gives the big names a run for their money. Since I strongly believe in supporting local small business, I put my money where my mouth is and signed a year lease on one of their mailboxes. In the two months we've been customers of Mail Clinic, everything has been great - highest rating! read more

My international package was sent USPS through Mail Clinic. Insurance was not offered at the time of sending, nor was it explained that an automatic $100 insurance does not apply when shipping USPS. I had asked the owner what happens if the package is lost and he just shrugged his shoulders. He should have explained that if this is a concern, you can obtain insurance to protect the shipping cost of $192. The package is still sitting lost somewhere unscanned for 17 days now. Sure he is putting in a tracer after I stopped in the store for a personal update. However I get and unconcerned feeling from the staff with a "oh well" this stuff happens answer. Next time I'll take the drive to "Home Office" on 2nd Ave & Vine in Seattle where I always felt safe mailing international packages. read more

I went in for a box and when I didn't want the $20 to pack my item they sold me the box, but threw the receipt and card on top of the painting of my grandma that I was trying to ship. I love Issaquah Mail Clinic and drive past our local UPS store to use them. They are always friendly and helpful but mostly all of my transactions with past addresses are on their computers, with a duplicate screen under a clear plastic top on the counter so I can see names, address', and delivery options and prices. Horrible Notary services at Issaquah Mail Clinic. Be aware that Eastside Notary Service also links to this address/location. Their general notary forms are extremely out of date, i.e., their form is a cheap, crookedly cut quarter sheet of paper, with an outdated fill in the blank date template with "200_". It's 2015; and you own a mail center with a couple of Xerox machines. No excuse. While the young lady working there was very friendly and considerate, the owner was too busy chatting it up with old timer residents, and ignoring notary issues to handle mail concerns. Further, after becoming aware that his assistant needed his help in facilitating my notary concerns and I had been standing there patiently for over five minutes, the owner would instead help new customers coming in the door for mail--tasks his assistant could have fielded while he helped me. Thank you but no thank you, your lack of professionalism lost my business. If you're looking for notary services in issaquah, you're better off looking elsewhere. read more

Mail Clinic is the only place I will go to mail a package. After waiting in long lines at the post office and getting surly "help" from the USPS staff I will not mail anything through the US mail if I can help it. Robert and his staff are always helpful and friendly, and I have had them rush to the door to help with boxes when I arrive. They charge slightly more than USPS and UPS, but I expect that from a private business with bills to pay! The US mail has lost my passport (twice!!) and Christmas boxes (NEVER to be seen again) and when I mail through Mail Clinic I have a tracking number and have never had an issue with lost packages. I am more than willing to pay for the services at the mail clinic and not stand in line again. read more

I used to avoid mailing packages, but not anymore. I don't have to worry about finding a box or having a label or what's the best way to ship stuff or anything else. The people here are always friendly and helpful. While it is expensive, how else would they stay in business? I don't want people making nothing and they charge fairly for the service delivered. If I didn't like it I would find my own box and whatnot and stand in the line in the post office. I just wish I had one closer to home. read more

I have been coming here for quite some time. However I will never return ever again after the horrendous treatment I received the other day. I was greeted by a black haired lady with a scowl and a great deal of eye rolling and heavy sighing as I asked her to please look my account my up because I had not brought the address with me that I was mailing my package to. I gave her my maiden name and she could not locate it under my married name and she said no. After I had already packaged my things up in envelopes I asked her if it would have been more affordable to mail the items all together in a box. She said yes then she brought me the box and as I was placing the items in the box she rudely snatched it away from me filled the box with paper and taped it shut before I was even done placing everything inside. I asked her if I was paying buy weight and she said yes. So I ripped the box open and took out one pound of paper she had shoved in the box smashing down the clothes that were in there into a wrinkled mess. She told me I couldn't do that. It's my box I will do as I please being I am the one paying. Then she taped it shut again with out my permission before telling me it would be $98.00!!!!!!!!!!!! The previous cost was only $20.00 total!!!! How is $98.00 more affordable than $20.00?????? So I said never mind and took my box and she snatched it back saying I couldn't have the box. So I said " do you have a bag for my items since I have thrown away the packaging they were in? And she snapped " We only have boxes here!!!!" I said " Well you should have said that before you made me go through all this!" At the end of the day she tried to sell me the box for $12.00. I shoved all my items into a shopping bag from my car and left her box there. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered she continually laughed at me and rolled her eyes. I don't see anything funny about losing a good customer considering I generally spend no less than $20.00 on a semi regular basis. I don't know who she thinks pays her wages. read more

Using this place is convenient, but you pay a premium. If you are cost conscious don't waste a trip. I went in to mail a package the other day. The guy who helped me quickly said he had a box and could package it for me - that it would be easier than if I did it myself. I was mailing a bag which fit into the box with no need for additional packaging/protection. All that was required was shoving it into a box and applying 2 pieces of tape to close it. The sales associate didn't mention he was going to charge $4 for the box, and an additional $4 for the packaging. I was also charged $20 to ship it USPS no tracking. The box was big enough to fit an 11" x 17" bag (maybe 5" deep), and the bag was only 3.8 lbs. I later went to the USPS site and it looks like had I done it myself, I would have been able to mail or between $11 - $13, and avoid the "packaging" fees. So bottom line, I was charged about $29, and if I did it myself, finding box, I would have paid around $13. I won't go to this place again. Just not worth it. read more
