I stopped by the UPS store today to drop off a package and had a terrible experience with the employees there. They have a sign near the door indicating where the line starts and there were already a few people in line. My sister and I joined the queue, but a gentleman circumvented the line to stand behind someone already at the counter. The woman at the counter served him completely ignoring the formed line (and the four customers who were standing in it). When I complained to the employee who was helping me that it was disrespectful to everyone in line's time for them to allow people to just cut the line with no consequences and the employee was completely unapologetic and rude. I asked him what the point of having a sign indicating the beginning of the line was if they're just going to allow customers to cut it and wait in other places but the employee continued to say they didn't have any control over it with absolutely no apology or acknowledgement of our frustration. The onus shouldn't be on me as the customer to enforce the queue, the employees should be respectful of everyone's time and not just allow customers to cut the line and wait anywhere, especially when there is a sign specifically designating where the line begins. read more

Horrible service and even worse attitude. Long waits, staff moving at a snail's pace, and zero communication. I went in to return an item and was told to go back home, pack it, tape it up, and bring it back. When I returned--having done exactly that--the same staff member opened the box, took the item out, scanned it, dropped it into a plastic bag, and slapped the label on. What was the point of making me do all that? The staff were grumpy and dismissive the entire time. No explanation, no courtesy, nothing. Just attitude. Total waste of time. This location is the absolute worst. I have returned 7 items from Amazon. All at the either the UPS store in Woodinville or Redmond. I walk in, give them the QR code, get a receipt and leave. All within 20 seconds. The Issaquah location I just walked in and gave them the item and the QR code and had absolutely zero clue what I was doing or was asking for. WHY? I loathe this UPS Store. It's in a good location so I end up going here sometimes, but the owner and employees are so rude. Please, do yourself a favor and head to the Highlands or Klahanie locations instead. On one occasion, the owner and his daughter switched from English to another language to talk about me right in front of me, which was especially rude. I always try to be polite at stores, and I don't understand why employees at this store can't be nicer and more helpful. Every time I'm here, it feels like they're harassing someone over their Amazon return, how their box is packaged, etc. You know it's a cheap place when they refuse someone a piece of tape. Came to drop a package (Amazon Return), rolled his eyes, raised his voice and told me to go to the kiosk. When I told him the kiosk isn't working and is telling me to go to the counter, sighed and just walked away mid transaction? Wouldn't even let people I know treat me this way let alone someone who is supposed to working with customers. Avoid This Store - Terrible Customer Service I've had two recent experiences that were incredibly frustrating. First, I went in to ship a box, and they said I needed a bit more tape. Since I didn't have any with me, they told me to go home, add tape, and come back. Seriously? Most shipping stores will gladly add a strip of tape to help a customer. Second, I rent a mailbox here and asked them to mail a letter for me. I understood they couldn't give me a receipt, but I simply asked if they could drop it in the outgoing mail. Horrible service. I returned my AT&T equipment here and AT&T reports that they never received it. I called the location and was told that they do not keep info on equipment they return "for privacy." How is it a privacy concern to record the serial number of an Internet modem? They expressed zero interest in helping me resolve the issue and did not even apologize. Quick math: 15.30 / 5 minutes = 3.06 per minute. 3.06 x 60 minutes = 183.60 per hour labor rate. Let that sink in. That's more than a lawyer charges in many cases. I wonder what the lad boxing my goods gets paid per hour? When I called for clarification on the charges, I got the impression that this was a common complaint call they receive. The clerk was monotone and sounded downtrodden when he answered my questions as briefly as possible. I know that people have to make a profit, but c'mon man. $61.92 to box and ship an item the size of a loaf of bread? The total with $20.35 shipping fee was $61.92. This place is by name only. The attendant is rude and difficult to understand. Don't expect any level of customer service here. Just accept the fact it is UPS by name and you are dropping off a box or package. Your package should be taped and ready to go so you can just drop something off with ZERO interaction. If you show up with a label and, no prep, and an open box - good luck. Expect ZERO service. ZERO offer to loan out tape. ZERO offer to help get it shipped. I was returning a package to West Elm in the original packing and with an already printed return label. I only taped with masking tape at home, so I asked if they could tape it closed. "No we don't do that, you have to buy tape." Since the sign said, "we pack and ship". I asked if they pack and ship, she told me only if I am paying. So if West Elm is paying to return ship, they can't tape it. So I spent $5 to get tape, tape one strip, and ship it. What a joke!! And a scam! Came in to open up a PO box for a business. Was told by the guy working here that I couldn't do so because I didn't have my business license with me. I told him I had a photo of it on my phone with my ID and business cards. He said he would only let me open it if I had the actual business license with me. I asked him if he was serious, because that would mean going and taking it off the wall and bringing it in the frame. He was serious. Told him I'd go to the post office up the street. Online, it states 2 forms of ID is all that is needed to open a PO box here. At the post office, learned that their prices are cheaper and they accept all packages now with a street address too so no point in getting one here. Carter was extremely unpleasant. This store closes at 6:30, I arrived at 6:29, which was cutting it on the dot, but my package was completely prepackaged with a prepaid label taped on and I told him I did not need a receipt. All he had to do was let me leave it on the drop offs desk. He was in the middle of helping 2 last customers but actually went out of his way to spend time to escort me out and tell me how I couldn't just walk up a put a completely ready package on the drop off desk and I needed to leave - he spent more time escorting me out than if he just took the box from my hands. I will have to make another trip because this guy (who is always working here) couldn't be chill for 2 seconds. Worst UPS experience ever. Every time I go to this store, a system isn't working; so they redirect you to another location because they cannot perform the services they advertise. In addition, when I asked a question, the agent started reciting various unrelated policies or a handbook at me nonstop. I couldn't even ask a follow up question, as they just kept talking at me versus hearing and responding to my questions. It was completely condescending and disrespectful, and no manager was to be found. Lastly, the store's SOP are completing conflicting and the staff seem no where apologetic about it, resulting in a very frustrating experience overall. Had a horrible experience today and then read the reviews and I knew it wasn't just me. The old guy working there is soooo rude! I came in on a Sunday since the Highlands and Khalanie location were closed. The line was so long which is fine and only two people working there. One was helping a few people with passport photos. I waited 20 minutes in line and then the old guy with the white hair said, "If you have an Amazon return go use the scan option at the kiosk. I didn't want to do that since I already waited in line and only had 1 Amazon return the 3 packages that already had a UPS label. He yelled at me again with everyone looking and seeing what was going on...so embarrassing. I mentioned no thank you I'll wait in line. He then got frustrated and ran over to me when it was my turn and took my phone and used it at the kiosk to scan my Amazon and checkout there. One lady came up to me and said don't worry he's always very rude and grumpy. The younger guy that works there is nice never had an issue with him at all. Horrible customer service. My husband came in after to yell at him and made him look pretty stupid in front of all of the people waiting in line. He mentioned don't you ever yell at my wife ever again and you help her the next time she comes in. But don't worry, I will purposely avoid this location at all cost. Unfortunately when I came in today I was belittled and treated horribly by the older man who works here. He was badgering me just to badger me for an unknown reason and completely walked away in the middle of helping me to move some boxes for five minutes as the other representative was helping line behind me. Then the guy didn't like the box I used so had me buy a different box from the store without telling me the price and at the end I found out the 5x10 box was $7.99+ all these $2.99 tacked on packing fees. Horrible experience, I've been to the store before and it's been OK, but this was by far a really poor experience and I will be using a different UPS store from now on or FedEx. I went to drop off box today and I was asked to pay $1.10 since they now charge for USPS boxes. Totally acceptable. Then I was about to pay and the guy asked me to pay a 35 cent credit card fee. (I believe actually charging credit card fees on debit cards is illegal but not entirely sure) I then presented a $100 bill to pay, but the guy said he couldn't break it. I asked if would waive the credit card fee even though I offered legal tender. Nope...And he was not even sorry or apologetic about it.
