This review is strictly for the Staples printing center, probably one of the most efficient and helpful experiences I have ever had at any office supply store. I wish I would have gotten the name, but I know on my receipt it says the cashier number was 196-2413. This literally made so much of my Christmas letters and cards so much less intimidating and so efficient for sending out. Don't trust them or give them your business. I called because I had a "virus" on my computer. I asked them if they could help. Brett, the technician, said he knew what the problem was and that for $200 they could help. I called the PC Doctor in Redmond and he told me in 15 seconds what I needed to do to stop the problem. I did what he (PC Doctor) told me to do and it fixed the problem. It took me less than a minute. I will never use Staples again! read more

I agree with all 3 stars for this location. I went in to buy 19x24 polymailers and at first it was a normal transaction. I saw an abandoned basket of boxes and asked if I could have them. The cashier wasnt sure if the boxes could be given out so she radios someone to ask permission. After a long winded radio response - the answer is yes. So I ask if she has scissors so I can break the boxes down for easier transport and literally the cart with the boxes is like across the room in eyeshot where the aisles are located. So this is where it gets hella awkward - She tells me she cannot allow me to take the scissors to the aisle across the room to use to break down the boxes because those scissors are assigned to her area and they might walk off. LMFAO. Ok scissor police, chill. So I go and get the cart after she radios that she told me no about using the scissors inside of the business - a business that sells office supplies. Bring the cart over and use the scissors across from her so she can protect those scissors. I hand her precious scissors back to her and let her know its not that deep. Mind you there's like 4 employees in the store that couldve stepped up, grabbed the boxes, broken them down & handed them to me - you know so we couldve avoided the whole weird stairdown because of scissors tonight. Do better Staples, its - let the next person use the scissors. Mmk. read more

I stopped in to purchase a chair mat on 2/3/24 around 5pm. I had a 15% off coupon from a recent Amazon return, but forgot to bring this paper, and it was about to expire. The young woman who assisted me provided fantastic customer service that is rare to see. I asked if there was any way to look up my coupon and while there wasn't a way to do this, she went across the store and asked the Amazon returns person what she could do to help me out. She returned to the register and saw a small line of customers had formed. She asked if it would be okay to ring up a few transactions while we waited for her coworker to come up and I agreed. I was impressed that she was considerate enough to ask me first and then proceeded to offer proactive customer service and efficiency to those who were in line behind me. She did a few brief transactions and then made a point to come back and assist me. Her coworker didn't show up yet and when she asked another coworker, he suggested that she just find a way to give the discount. She was resourceful and quickly found a way to enter the discount. On top of that, she thanked me for being patient and even gave me another coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase! I appreciated her willingness to help, her consideration, professionalism, positivity, and her sense of humor (about not forgetting this one at home)! Interactions like this make it so nice to visit a store where you can find what you need same-day and the staff are kind, too! read more

As far as Staples go, this is an excellent one. Recently my Staples experience has not been that great at the other locations and in general Staples can disappoint if you walk in at the wrong time. However, Staples really is one of the best office supply and computer sales stores around. I prefer them for PC because they sell clean computers with less bloat and better business performance than the other retailers. They have an excellent standpoint on recycling, basically whatever it is (office related) they will handle it. As with all the department IT stores, service quality may vary depending upon what is in stock. Also they tailor what they stock based on sales. If you need something specific they might not have it on a given day. The sales people also act a bit standoffish if the product is not so good. Instead of telling you not to buy something they just act uninterested in the inferior product! Prices vary a bit much and they are under duress to deliver corporate manufactured warranty that will sometimes cause them to raise the price on a repair. I would watch out for this. The fun stuff they sell is ingenious productivity and office stuff that is real amazing. They once had a brick of cork so big it was unreal. this would be a desktop pin cushion. They had to respond to some environmental outcry from the scientific community so the last thing they did was sell this enormous cork brick before removing cork from their product line (mostly a final choice though you might see it again.) They have been struggling with the bugs of Google just like other places however it has been particularly obvious with Staples online. I think that they are getting past it now as others are also. Things like auto fill that cannot be turned off has caused some problems with the online services. I recommend them but with the caveat that it all depends on the human interaction you experience and what they have in stock the day you enter. Also as mentioned beware of unfair pricing with device repair it varies wildly depending upon the manufacturer. read more

Came in on a Sunday just before close to pick up an important project I needed for work Monday morning. The designers had made some small mistakes and I was worried about getting it collated and stapled in time. Luckily, Amber in printing was there to save me. Despite only having a few minutes to perform her closing procedures, she kindly (and without hesitation), offered to do the collating and stapling for me. Because of the competitive pricing and fantastic customer service, I will continue to drive over to this location rather than going to another Staples,Kinkos etc. closer to home. read more

This location carries a large range of office supplies and also boasts a copy/print center. I never have a problem finding someone to answer my questions. Trader Joe's, a QFC, Starbucks, and a craft store (as well as others) share the large parking lot but it's never a problem finding a space. My favorite thing about this store though, is their involvement in community events and willingness to lend a hand where they can. read more

I went to Staples because I needed a drum unit for my printer. They didn't have the one I needed in stock so the clerk ordered it for me and required me to pay in advance which I did with a debit card. The following week when I went to pick it up they said it had been sent back and I would have to wait for my refund in the form of a check that they would mail to me and that if I wanted to purchase the drum unit again (since they had it in stock now) I could but I would have to pay for it again. It seems ludicrous to me that they would send back an item that was fully paid for by the customer! Now I have to wait 7 to 10 days for my refund in order to purchase the item again. I have a growing business so I spend a considerable amount at Staples each year but I will be finding somewhere else to spend my money in the future. read more

I rarely go into Staples at all! I just left there. I was standing at the front desk waiting to ask a question and nobody was around to help me. I went to where I was trying to buy ink at the ink department to have somebody help me. Since I bought a new printer, and wanted to clarify the difference in package deals that the website couldn't answer. I stood there without exaggeration 19 minutes and 18 seconds and nobody came up to me to help me. I went back to the front desk and the checker was talking with a man about the type of business he did after he checked out. I was standing in plain view and was talking to a man after he checked out, and continued to talk. I politely asked if anybody could help me... No response! Somebody walked up right in front of me dropped a whole box of inventory right in front of me, I asked can anybody help me and she walk right by me and then I asked louder and she said she's off her work schedule. I said I need help... With attitude she said well I really am off but what do you want! Completely uncalled for and completely rude!!!!!This location, and this store should close, PERIOD! Phauk them! Great Customer Service Here! I work really close by and so i usually walk here for lunch and buy all my office supplies with Staples. One day i decided to go in just to browse because i was having cabin fever at work. I was walking through their clearance section and i notice that they had tons of staplers for $0.50, it was the One-Touch Staples brand! Even though I don't need any staplers i decided to get two because i couldn't pass on a deal like that. When i got to the register it rang up for $15.99 and i told the guy at the register that it was in the clearance basket and so he went over there and look. After he spoke to his manager they told me that they will honor the $0.50 price since that was how much I saw it for. I was soOO happy! If i had known how much it really cost i probably would have bought more for the entire office, then i could have looked extremely generous...hehehe. This is not the first time that they have done something like this to make their customer's happy. I had an incident where i got a bunch of things laminated there but the lamination was coming off of it. I brought it in and they replaced it for free. They even cut and sized it without an additional cost. I would recommend anyone to check out their printing service, especially their labeling service. I bought a bunch of pre-printed labels with my address on it and it was sooOO cheap. Remember, if you are unhappy with their quality of work they will usually redo it for FREE! I really enjoy coming to this location. I've been to other Staples, but this place seriously has THE NICEST people working here. These places start to run together after a while. You want to spend $100 on a mouse? Here. You want to spend $15 on a mouse? We probably have it in the back. Got plenty of options in between the two as well. Want to spend $100 on a printer? $300 on a printer? You get the idea. There's a big parking lot, and, inside, it's cool and quiet and not harshly lit. Why do electronics stores understand this aspect of purchase-decision-making? Or maybe I just fit the demographic here better than I do at other retail establishments. The prices here are good, and, today, the people who work here were super nice. I'd gladly buy electronics here and recommend the same for others. Solid establishment. read more

The regular part of the store gets four stars, and the copy center gets two stars, so we'll average it out at 3 stars. It's a staples, so it's got what you would expect. All your various office/school needs. But I have gotten some really good deals here. I got a nice leather office chair for 50 bucks, and a decent light weight laptop for three hundred. The regular prices seem just ok, but the key is to watch for the sales which can be pretty impressive. Service is decent, they've always been helpful. They do push the service contracts, which I've purchased for both the items mentioned above, but haven't had to use yet so I gots no idea if they are as good as they claim. The shipping center kinda sucks. There were problems and big delays both times I went in to send something through them. Won't do that again. read more

I really want to like shopping at Staples because I don't believe that it is a good use of resources, transportation, gas, etc. to buy a bunch of small items needed for studying from Amazon and have each shipped individually. Staples is a good choice in my opinion. My issue is that the last few times I go in there I end up leaving saying the same thing...there is no way everything could cost that much! It's beyond ridiculous. Today we needed supplies for a college-age student and a few other items. They only had electric staplers, no smaller non-electric stapler for the college student on a budget. They had advertised planners for 7.99 but that was only a tiny paper one and so for the cheapest mid-size planner it ran you about $14.99 - 19.99. Since they all had flowers we ended up with a $19.99 version for our son. $19.99 for a planner that is smaller than 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper for width and length and is not that thick with a cheap exterior? We also needed engineering paper - $11.49 for a small pad of cheap quality engineering computational paper. We ended up leaving having paid $65 for a small bag of items and without a stapler so we'll have to go elsewhere for that. The checkout person was helpful. The store is a confusing layout to me. They have supplies for cleaning and food throughout it which seems odd. I believe that they are grouped by topic but not sure why ruled subject notebooks with paper in them are not by the paper? An office products store is needed but you can't be twice the price of Amazon and you need a larger variety of different types - like with the staplers. Everyone says that the future is online ordering but I don't agree but I feel pushed to it when you can't find decent variety at a store that should have it and when the pricing is so high. read more

I went into the Redmond Staples to buy something small, when I pulled the $20 bill out of my wallet it ripped in half, they wouldn't accept ripped currency. By the time I drove across town to my bank and exchanged the ripped bill for a new one, it was easier to order what I needed from Amazon. I try to shop bricks and mortar retailers over Amazon when I can, but if these retailers can't offer any value-add customer service they won't survive. read more

Despite disappointing past experiences here with copying jobs, I returned recently to price-shop computers, and then I returned to purchase computers here (along with software, installation and other services) - and the experience was surprisingly, AMAZINGLY GOOD! I can't attest to the services yet, but the actual purchasing (and price shopping, the week before the actual purchasing) was extremely positive: no hard sell (even though I admitted I was NOT a techie and had no idea about this "stuff"), no pressure to upsell me on products, honest advise on computer components (even advising me that they recommend "x" item when it was less expensive than "y" and "z"), and applying all coupons and discounts on all items they could find for me (even some that probably should have only applied to online orders, or that expired half a week ago). They helped me out, staying on my budget, and really worked with me on cost, advising what was essential vs non-essential. I really appreciated the input. Oh, as an aside, I went to use the washroom and it was SPOTLESS (for a change!). I think this store has gotten its act together since I last reviewed it. They're due to install everything next week. I'll update this review then. But as far as the comparison shopping and purchasing experience went, it was A-ONE. read more

I went into the Redmond location in a bit of a tizzy after trying to place an online order for pickup in one hour and the website just not following through. I had called a few hours before I was able to get there and was assured that they could set the items aside for me this time, which I know was a favor on its own. When I finally made it into the store Arthur was right at the door to ask if I needed help. As soon as I said my name he and his team members knew exactly who I was and what I was there for. I greatly appreciated his positive demeanor and friendly conversation skills. My trip in was quick, positive, and very helpful. Arthur went above and beyond by helping me carry a box of paper out to my car- I was hoping for a dolly or a cart, but that was a kind surprise. Thank You! read more

Worst. Staples. Ever. It doesn't matter how much business you send their way - they will still find a way to mess it up. Take the copy center for example.... Half the time I come there the dedicated copy center employee is on break meaning - you can't place an order and you can't confirm when the order you dropped off might be done if it isn't already. Not to mention the fact that two out of three of the orders I have placed there in the past month have come back incorrectly. As for the customer service in the rest of the store: horrendous. I literally stood around for 10 minutes waiting on an answer while 3 of the store employees stood around talking about their latest trip to happy hour. After 10 minutes I interrupted the group and inquired about getting an answer to my previous question.... and he responded with "oh SHIT - no one came and found you?" I was standing within eye sight the entire time. I hate this Staples - if I didn't have to go there for work I wouldn't. And if I ran the store I would fire half the staff - I would assume the same amount of work would get done anyway! read more

The copy center at this Staples is fantastic and has been for several years now. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They actively try to find solutions to tricky printing requests, whether it has to do with folding, edge printing, paper options, etc. They are fast, efficient, high quality with their work. And they truly want to give you what you are looking for. Ibar has been there for years and is beyond helpful. On a recent visit, I also worked with Jade and Maria, both of whom bent over backwards to be helpful, kind, and productive. Couldn't ask for better service. Got what I needed with fast turn-around even during a super busy season. And when I encountered a tiny glitch, Jade was ultra patient, listened carefully, and provided multiple options to address such that I left the store with the problem solved. I walked into Staples to make color copies and the girl behind the counter offered to help me. I needed just colored copies printed from the computer, which was a simple click and print for her. She charged me an Express Fee for the service since I got the copies right then and there. She made no mention of this fee nor would I have guessed I was bothering her to do her job, rather than just sit there. When I questioned her, she just played dumb. Moral of story...if you need copies, don't go to Staples, they are just like a bank...hidden fees. read more

I feel that this is the best Staples on the eastside. The people are more outgoing and friendly. I bought a PC from the Issaquah Staples that I had held on the phone prior. I had the wife pick it up since she was in the area. They gave her the wrong PC. The Redmond Staples let me return it there, gave me no hassles and got me the right PC. Now my wife has a great new PC and I get to hear less complaining! Their protection plan for shredders is excellent! I recently had one die and the process was easy as pie. Everything is done online and I got a cash card within a week. It earned my repeat business. I went in to the Redmond Staples to recycle the dead one and got lucky with a shredder sale so I upgraded for not much more and got a shredder that's 3 times faster! Now I can shred all those stupid credit card offers speedy like! Oh and I bought the protection plan again. It was only $7.99. read more

Staples is the absolute worst place on the planet to shop for computer hardware. They seriously charge 70 bucks for a DVI cable that can be had for 20 bucks at Frys or 10 bucks online. Go here for basic office supplies but think twice about buying anything else. read more

Customer service is very poor. Sales floor is desolate of associates, and the ones already there do not bother to ask if you need help. One particular fellow, heavy set man wearing one of the darker shirts (not red) displayed the utmost unwelcoming, rude tone towards me. I presented a credit card that belongs to my father in order to pay. When he compared my ID and found that the first names were different, he firmly - as opposed to politely - shoved into my face the fact that, in his own words, "I cannot take this card". This comment came with a sort of holier-than-thou smirk visible on his face. No polite request to present another form of payment, no polite way of phrasing his contention, and no apparent desire for my business. When I returned the same day to file a complaint, my experience was not any better. The customer service representative made me wait on the side for a good ten minutes for a manager - who never showed up - even though I had already waited in the checkout line. He then took it upon himself to simply jot down my email address, and did not tell me the man's name against whom I was complaining, even though he indicated that he knew who it was. No formal report was filed, and the associate did not bother to come out from hiding to apologize. The customer service rep did not try to find him. Shortly thereafter, I receive an email from the customer service rep apologizing on behalf of the associate, explaining that the associate wished to "personally apologize", while carrying the obvious oxymoron of being an impersonal email not sent from the associate himself. In short, I felt unwelcome, incriminated and disrespected. Sure, people who buy $300 printers from associates on a commission had great experiences, but why be polite to a lowly customer buying a few pocket notebooks and pencils, right? In accordance with my ethics, and as I strongly encourage others, do not shop at this branch where the narcissistic staff believes that they are financially secure enough not to extend a shred of common courtesy to their customers. read more

I only have praise for the Redmond store. I took my laptop in for repairs. Due to a couple of backorders on the part required it took 18 days to get it fixed but they kept me in the loop & only charged me $130 for a $300 repair to make up for the delay. read more

We paid this location a visit for the first time today. The store was in pretty good shape. I was a bit disappointed that they had a laser printer on display that was what I wanted and in the range I wanted to pay. Problem was they were out of stock and I had to pay $50 more for the next step up. True I could have walked out and purchased a printer elsewhere, but my daughter's 1st Grade Teacher is expecting a project that is due tomorrow.so with the thought of having homework to do on top of our normal night time duties I decided to pay more and get the more expensive model that was in stock. At this point the only challenge left was to pay for the printer and leave. That was easier said than done at this Staples. The store was seriously understaffed tonight. I finally got out the door and now to get the darn heavy ass printer in the house and setup in time to get the homework done! :-) read more

I went in search of 40 composition notebooks for a non-profit. Justin not only helped me find the right aisle but also pulled down more from stage when I couldnt find enough on the shelves at a sale price. When the new set rang up at a higher price he called a manager and explained. The manager granted the sales price and Justin helped me finish checking out. I was so impressed with their service and time. I will definitely come back to this store! read more
