I had never used them before so I was a little nervous, but they were super responsive and clear about timing so that I could get some invitations printed for work. Email communication was clear too. They did it at a lower price than I would have expected for such a expedited service. And quality was just as good if not better than more expensive shops I've used. One star for basic printing needs. Probably would get more stars for their work on something more sophisticated than some 2-sided color flyers, but I will probably never know, because I won't be going back to this store next time I have a printing need. I was running late to an open house (work in real estate). I live maybe 3 blocks from this MMP. I drove over with my USB drive and asked for 30 color flyers, front and back. "Three hours" I was told. "Umm..." I said, "This is just a PDF file of 8.5x11 flyers, can't you just print them off while I wait?" Huffy guy, probably franchise owner or store manager, mumbled something about "it takes awhile because usually what a customer brings in is not ready". "It's ready", I told him. He huffed and took my USB drive. The counter person busied herself for 5-10 minutes while I sat and waited. The guy came back with his laptop, my USB plugged in, and he asked me which file. I pointed to the one and he left again. He came back a minute or two later, telling the counter person "yep, it's not ready....there is no bleed." Ok, hold on. A bleed is a printer term for printing to the edge of a sheet of paper, then cutting the paper down to size, so that the finished product can have ink all the way to the edge. My fliers had a 1/4 inch margin all the way around - pure white space. So, why the need for a bleed? Oh well, I thought, no sense arguing, he is obviously happy with his smug discovery that my PDF file was indeed "not ready" for them to print. Then, he instructed the counter girl to add a "rush" on this order. She printed out two pages for me - in color - of the estimate for my 30 flyers (2-sided, so 60 total sides). Almost $90. Including a $25 "rush" fee. I had noticed a cut-out taped to the register as well. It says something to the effect of "Your emergency is not my problem...top reasons you are unprepared..." and then it listed some pithy examples. What The F!? Are you or are you not called "Minute Man Press?" Does printing 30 front and back flyers not take like, honestly, 3 minutes IF THAT? Could you have run my flyers off of the very same printer the counter person used to print off your ridiculously over-priced estimate? Yes. Could you have a self service kiosk where I could have walked in, plugged in my USB, navigated to my file, printed my quantity, and paid for my order without having to deal with your smug attitude? Yes. As I said, I am sure this little job is not something you care about losing. However, I work with dozens of brokers in the area, and we print everything from flyers to brochures to booklets to banners and large signs several feet high and across. You can bet your franchise I will NOT be entering Redmond MMP for my next printing need. I have always been met with professional courtesy and good results when using the Bellevue MMP, and I will continue to go there for any needs I have that I cannot fulfill at me office. By the way, I went out of my way to my Bellevue office (the open house was in Lynnwood), and printed my flyers there for less than 33 cents apiece, both sides. That's about $20. MMP Redmond wanted $90, and treated me like scum for daring to ask that the flyers be printed while I wait instead of within three hours' time. Maybe change your name to "Three Hour Press...with Attitude"?? Good luck. read more

The team at Minuteman Press went way beyond to help me for a big custom printing project I had to do for work. Twice I had to ask them for very last-minute, rush changes to what they had already printed for me, and they did the changes each time, never complaining once -- and in fact always doing it with a smile -- even though it involved very involved Photoshop design work. WOW! These guys are the real deal! I have used them for many work related things such as banners and work booklets and each job was done excellently and promptly! They have even price matched with Staples. Most recently I used them for my own Save the Dates for my upcoming wedding. I recently had 40 20-page full color catalogs printed here for a business meeting. JD was very helpful even modifying the artwork as necessary for optimal print production. JD, the franchise owner, is a really approachable nice guy. He left a different career to get into the print business and it's a fun one. He done right. I like that they hand delivers projects. Morgan is super responsive, reasonable and easy to chat with. A couple years ago, whenever I needed projects done through work, we went through MMP and they were always timely and knew how to print with my funky designs. Years later, I needed an old work sample for my portfolio, a double sided, odd sized, and an oddly folding pamphlet. MMP had saved their notes about how to print my file from the first time around (YEARS ago) and held onto it just in case. I thought that was very smart of them to keep notes, and to hold on to them for future prints, and just having them as guidelines for other print jobs. I always seem to be behind on my print projects, then show up online hoping these folks at Redmond Minuteman can make the "diving catch" for me. They always do it. I run a charity event, and I end up needing posters, business cards, flyers, registration forms, you-name-it. They're super organized and efficient at taking my drafts, helping me quickly tweak them, then getting me set up with the right paper (the waterproof stuff is awesome for posters/postcards that we pin up or put under windshield wipers at bike events!). I am a designer and needed business cards printed. I prepared my file and sent it to them for an estimate, then went to the shop to pick out a paper stock. The counterperson and I selected a stock and I asked if she would please email me an estimate for my order. It was a simple 1-color/2 sided card. After 3 days, I receive the estimate and was told they did not have the stock we selected together but they had a thicker stock in house. So I went back to the shop to see what she was recommending. She said she did not have the stock "in-house" and she should have been more clear in her email, but she could have it shipped overnight so I could see a sample. I said, fine just email me when you get it. 3 days later nothing. Whatever. There are other, more professional printers everywhere. read more
