Very unprofessional UPS location. I brought in a regular package, but the employee had to go ask someone whether they could even ship it. Then she asked for my ID, which has never happened when shipping this same item before. She measured the package several times, entered information into the computer, and quoted me $75. I ship the exact same item every week from another UPS location for about $26. Then another employee came over and changed the price to $39, plus the cost of a box. The employees seemed confused and did not know what they were doing. The pricing was inconsistent, and the entire experience was frustrating. I will continue using my usual UPS location instead. read more

THE UPS STORE @ KIRKLAND Parking is available right out front, and if you come during the weekday, there are usually spots open. This UPS Store is located in a plaza, so parking is shared with nearby businesses, but it's still pretty easy to find a spot since people are constantly coming in and out. I stopped by for a couple of Amazon returns, and when I arrived, the staff was briefly on a bathroom break. They had a sign posted saying they would be right back, which I appreciated for the clear communication. Astrid, the employee who helped me, was extremely nice and processed my returns quickly and efficiently. The store also has a variety of items and supplies available for purchase. It's clean, spacious, and not crowded, there was only one person ahead of me. They wanted me to pay to use their computer and to print out a label. The UPS store cannot print a UPS label?!? Biggest scam store.

I needed a notary service so I called this store only to receive an answering machine. Our two signing parties decided to risk it: we drove through rush hour and fought through limited parking only to be told their UPS Notary was gone for the day! "Why not come back tomorrow morning?" Was their response as if we don't have work and crazy schedules to manage?! The better path to success? 1. Answer your phone. 2. Keep your notary or advertise your notary hours. And 3. When you screw a customer perhaps you offer a free service or consolation prize? I highly recommend you find a more reliable UPS store with customer service skills. read more

The problem with this store is the employee who is quite insane. He thinks he's MR UPS and lectures customers on the policies of UPS with a zeal that is obnoxious. Today I brought a package that had been delivered to my house in error. Apparently it had been opened prior to being left on my doorstep. This employee proceeded to lecture me regarding the opened package. I told him to calm down. Another customer in the store gave me a thumbs up. This individual appears to be disturbed. I know it's hard to find good employees but he needs to be counseled to calm down. No one is forcing him to be personally responsible for UPS. read more

Well. That was unexpected. I know the tension is killing you, especially considering the minor civil war occurring in the reviews for this store, but bear with me. My roommate and I needed to return something to Amazon, so we set out for a pleasant walk to the UPS store. When we got there, Bob was chatting with a customer whom he had apparently finished helping, but immediately turned and greeted us as we walked in. I explained what I needed and he set everything up from there. As I struggled to figure out where I saved the return label code for my package, Bob kept up a steady stream of pleasant, courteous, and hilarious conversation. It was without a doubt, maximally convenient. I had been having a truly horrible day. After less than five minutes with Bob, I was smiling, laughing, and feeling 100% better about life. What a joy to encounter someone who works at what could be a pretty repetitive job, and who could have been an expressionless robot like many who work in customer service, but instead was bursting with joy and good humour. They have the mailboxes, notary services, shipping and copying/printing services that you would expect in in any UPS store, but this one provides the added value of an atmosphere of small town warmth and humor. Relationships make all the difference in the world. That's where meaning in human life comes from. I scroll through these reviews and I see varied reviews of interactions with the employees. My experience has never been anything but positive. The main go-to guy as I write, Bob, is a character. He'll talk to you. He has a sense of humor. He makes jokes about himself. He helps make this store into a genuine community hub with the warmth of the bar Cheers. Go here very often and everyone will know and greet you by name. If you don't want to be spoken with in a more engaged style than you would get with an ATM, you may not like that. Joshua was very rude and hung up on my wife when she asked a simple question-apparently couldn't handle an accent different from his own. Hope I never have to go back to this abusive environment. Was in the other day and there was quite a line up of people in the store, spaced just so, and in their cars. Waiting in line there seemed to be a misunderstanding at the counter as a customer was upset that she did not have the proper paper work for her packages. She was irritated and letting Bob and Jeff know of her frustration. Bob and Jeff handled it professionally, communicating effectively and diffused the issue. Bob the customer service agent pulled out a knife in frustration and started pointing it at the print out i brought in after asking him which bar code goes with the corresponding box. Clearly her was frustrated i kindly asked him to put the knife away. Does UPS HR have regulations against this kind of thing? A word: Bob. I come here sometimes when I don't have other options but more and more, will avoid it at all costs and go find another location. Every time I've been in when Bob was working it's been a bad experience. Past incidents include: -Condescending comments about my appearance. 'You shouldn't wear your hair like that' SERIOUSLY WTF -Rude, snarky comments about other customers especially people who call in with questions. Example: 'Well THAT GUY was an IDIOT!' after someone called to ask about if you could make photocopies in the store -Inappropriate questions about packages: 'Oh you bought something from Macy's?! What's in it?' or 'Ulta, huh? Why do you women wear so much makeup in the first place' -Mistakes. He's made a few mistakes, which were minor but would have affected shipping. He'd do one revision to the address and when it was still wrong, he'd get frustrated and then refuse to correct it again. -He didn't like how something I brought in was packed in a box, so without asking he took everything out of the box and repacked it. When I objected, he told me I didn't know what I was talking about and his way was better. -He is constantly distracted, making rude remarks and interrupting other people and employees in the store during their transactions to get his .02 cents in. I've also seen him interrupt people's personal conversations about subjects that aren't his area of expertise and are also more importantly not even slightly his business. I don't know why he continues to be employed at this store. If I see that he's working, I now generally go somewhere else. read more

Bob was rude to me for asking questions about sending off my package. He leaned over the counter, tried to stand over me, and glared right into my face as he spoke to me. I had to take a step back just to get him out of my face. I handed my box over to him and asked him to be careful since there was an expensive movie projector with a fragile bulb inside. He grabbed my box, spun it around like a toy, spun it in the air, then dropped it on the scale in front of him. I was left speechless. The seller from Amazon had explained to me that my refund would depend on the condition of the item, and indeed Bob had damaged the projector. I contacted the owner of this location, her name is Priya. She sent me an email stating she would like to set up a time to call and resolve the matter. Over the course of three or four weeks, we played phone tag with gaps of five or six days at a time of not hearing back from them at all. Apparently because she was too busy and is therefore "not at the store to take calls and respond to emails often".....even though it was HER idea to set up a call time to resolve the matter. After about a month of playing their game, I told her I was just going to take it as a loss. Nice way to shaft your customers! read more

I believe going to shipment stores becomes part of our day to day activities so much that we forget to appreciate what's best in it. I brought in a large bulky return to Amazon that I had tried to pack up but did a lousy job. Bob was terrific, he repacked the item for me with no extra charge....thank goodness he had his trusty "knife", it would have taken forever to cut through all of the tape I had on the box, He has very good knife skills and lots of fun too! I came back to Kirkland and met a man who lived very close to UPS store "Kirkland" and oh was I happy, as I needed some last min things done. The owner was a great guy!!!!!! He got me taken care of with my many questions and was one of the friendliest people I had met in the short time. Kirkland has changed for sure. Not as many friendly people outside of UPS. I use this UPS store often. Between shipping stuff for work, or sending something back to Amazon. I am in here at least once a month. From my first time on, I have always been taken care of. There are two fellows who are typically there. Bob is bigger, and perhaps older fellow. He is very friendly, and always gives me outstanding customer service. The other fellow, I think his name is Jeff. He is slightly less chatty, but every bit as helpful. It is pretty much equal distance from my work to this UPS store, or the one on Northup Way. I've had a mailbox at this UPS Store location for a few years now. I've used some of their print services and shipping services without any issues, ever. I see the staff there every couple of days when I pick up my mail. And I see some of the stupid stuff that they have to put up with. Sometimes as I wait my turn for them to grab my packages from the back, I watch Bob or Jeff patiently explain to someone why they can't notarize a form that isn't suitable for a notary stamp and that they can't provide legal advice on the document they want to sign. Then I watch that person get mad because Bob and Jeff aren't their personal lawyers and storm out. Then there are times when the person wants their package shipped to someplace in Europe with 2 day delivery and customs forms then get mad because it costs an arm and a leg. Well, yes international shipping is expensive and there are certain import/export rules they have to follow. Then I come to Yelp and see the bad reviews, which are hilarious. I'm glad to see most of the reviews are positive. It reminds me that there are some people in this world that just can't be pleased. This UPS Store really is a community location. While waiting in line, I've chatted with other customers. When I come in to pick up my packages and the store is quiet, I get a good chat with the crew there. On the weekends, I'll swing by with the kids in my car and they'll get excited to see Bob (one time he packaged them up in a huge box and they thought it was the funniest thing). I come in here three or four times a month on average. Every time I've been in there I've always had great customer service. Mostly I'm in there for Amazon returns. In doing so I've interacted often with the fellow with the glasses (by now I should know his name, but I don't; he did tell me he's the manager, and from the other reviews seems his name's Bob, so that's what I'll call him). I usually return arcane scientific textbooks related to my work, and this guy often comments on the books (usually because they're highly technical and not your average bedtime reading). On a recent trip there Bob mentioned a time months ago where I was returning a book because about 20 of its pages were folded inward. I've never had a problem with him or anyone else in there. Bob recognizes me, we chit chat, then wish each other a pleasant day as I leave. I'm glad to have this store in my neighborhood, since it's so convenient. Another time I was in line behind a customer who was also returning an Amazon product. This customer didn't understand the process, so Bob had to walk her through it. He was very patient with her even though I'm sure her not reading the instructions beforehand must have tested his patience. All in all, it's a great store and makes for easy Amazon returns to boot! read more

I went in last week to ship some packages back to amazon, the large fella in glasses (perhaps Bob) was very rude and condescending the who time he was speaking with me. I thought maybe i was overthinking jt so i went in again today. Same guy with glasses was even more rude this time around. He continually made snarky comments and just glared at me. Was met with the rudest service from any UPS store. I was two steps behind a customer that went in. When I got to the door it was locked. Since there were 3 customers in that small space I thought they were limiting people due to COVID. Someone left and so I went in. The balding fat guy with long thinning hair and glasses barked at his employee loudly - "how did he get in? Did you let him in?!!" She responded "I didn't let him in". He shakes his head in frustration at having to deal with one more customer. I then realized they were closed. It was 5:01pm. He then barks at me - "You DO realize we're closed?!? What do you need". He reluctantly took care of my package. He handed me a receipt without a word and didn't even ack me. It was my first time at this UPS. It was definitely my last. read more

Went in for a notary service and the only person working looked at my paper and with the voice only an internet troll could have asked if that was my signature on the sheet. He then said in this wildly sarcastic tone of how he can't notarize it. No customer service whatsoever, any normal person would have said hey I see this is signed, I can't notarize it, sorry.
