I hired Mr Gallagher to represent me in my divorce and I would most definitely recommend him. He is…read morevery effective and genuinely cares about the kids. The reason I hired him in the first place was because a close friend of my mine hired him to represent her in a really ugly divorce and Mike very much delivered and she was able to keep full custody of her kids even though the circumstances were not at all in her favor. The two lawyers she hired before Mike were a waste of money and time. Truth be told, the first visit was really hard on me because he warned me about what was to come (and it came) and I wasn't ready to hear it or believe it. And we wasted precious time because i didn't listen to him initially. The realities of divorce are ugly and he didn't sugarcoat it, mostly because time is of the essence and the sooner you come to terms with it, the sooner you can do the right things to start with upper-hand and save money too. Mike shines during deposition and it is a service he provides that few lawyers do as part of the initial fee. A good deposition of the other spouse is priceless to have when things go south later on (and they do) and Mike is great at it, asking the right questions, being very creative to get to the important piece of information we need and he can be darn right intimidating if he needs to be. He did a great job for mine. Again, it was hard, but it was the right thing to do. Mike also gave me a great reference for a home appraiser and the mediator he hired was as good as it gets. The mediation process went extremely well thanks to those two. It was shorter than planned and it was fair for both parties. Last but not least, Mike's Legal Assistant Sharon is as responsive as it gets. She was helpful and patient and just real all around.

Run as far away as you can…read more This man is in my opinion the epitome of why lawyers get a bad name. Carefully read his prior reviews. He was involved in lawsuits from sexual harassment against himself, as well as other bar complaint's. He asks for an exorbitant upfront flat fee with the promise of many things but does nothing to make good on those promises but rather delays and stretches it out as long as possible so he can charge another exorbitant fee. It seems he is not respected by other attorneys or judges so it is hard to get them to work with him. Other client reviews include in court battles in front of the judge with his client, agreeing with other counsel on pp plans without clients permission, refusal to refund any money after one week of paying a 30 grand fee claiming its all spent, constant belittling and disrespect by him to his clients, his refusal to even prep for hearings or trials and asking his clients to do the majority of the work for him. His fees are high- For the case I was involved with he asked 30 grand for 3 months but accomplished nothing but padded his friends wallets by scheduling unnecessary depositions that he didn't use costing over 2 grand and trying to schedule a second deposition for a similar amount. When threatened with wsba he then backdoored signing a pp plan that his client had already refused. He knew he was in the wrong and expressed this to opposing counsel as well but said he had to get a plan signed to protect himself. Even without all that though he gives off creepy vibes. Even before I confirmed his prior alleged sexual cases during the first meeting it was clear he had huge boundary issues from his vulgar, overbearing and intense need to try to show he was in charge and the captain of his ship. He repeated this often I guess to remind himself. Go use anyone else unless you like to be verbally abused and waste thousands! Again, this is the opinion of this writer alone but based on others reviews and several personal experiences with him. Included are some pages from a large green binder he gives every client of his homework expectations within a week. The binder is large and these pages are not in order nor include everything but gives you an idea. None of it has personally identifying info they are all his examples. Excuse any typos I have as I am writing this review on a phone.
