I've donated one too many cartridges to be greeted like I interrupted something more important. I asked for the price of a cartridge, got what % off of retail it is, and then ended up with XL... I didn't ask for that. But that's ok, I enjoy supporting small businesses. That's not even a problem. My problem is when I pay in US bills, and receive a no big deal Canadian quarter, but if I ask you for an actual US quarter back instead, DO NOT ask me why I want a US quarter back. It seems silly, but if a customer has paid you in US bills, their change should be the same- US. I felt pretty irritated having to explain why I want the proper currency. I have been using Cartridge World for over two years now and have been very satisfied. I have 7 printers of various brands and we use the Cartridge World supplies for all of them. They all work very well and are much less expensive than OEM. We did have one problem with a cartridge for an older Canon copier. It would leak the toner as you used it with the replacement cartridges but worked correctly with OEM. CW was very good to work with here as they let us try two different cartridges but when neither worked gave us a full refund without any hassle. Another time I had a problem with an inkjet printer not printing one color. I tried the head cleaning process and it didn't help. Since I had been using their cartridges I took it to them to see if that was the problem. Apparently the head was still dirty so they fixed it and didn't even charge me for it. I don't know if that is their normal policy or if they did it for me because I have been a regular customer. But the printer has worked fine since. The salespeople are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all an excellent place to do business. Like the Yelp descriptor for 5 stars, its as good as it gets. read more

I am very pleased with the service provided by Cartridge World. I use their toner cartridges at my business in Bellevue, and I can place an order online one day and have new toner delivered the next. They happily take the used cartridges when they bring the new ones, and they even deliver unexpected little cookies and snacks each time. My staff love them! read more

I will never go to Cartridge World again and I encourage everyone considering them to avoid them as well. I've spent hundreds of dollars there and I should still have a lot of credit there as I've turned in many more empty ink and toner cartridges than I've purchased, but I won't be doing so. We've had toner cartridges blow up, not work at all - and ink cartridges not work at all for two different printers a couple of times now. Local franchise owners Susan and Steve have had plenty of opportunities to make this right, but they haven't - they are in denial that their methods don't work and have told me it's not their cartridges, it's my printers. If that's the case, why do original ink and toner cartridges work just fine? Stick with original cartridges (especially if you have HP printers) and don't waste your time and money refilling with Cartridge World. read more

We bought $45 worth of cartridges for our HP printer here and were assured there would be no problem. We installed them and our printer (HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m) refused to print with them. We asked for a refund but they refused. They offered us store credit, which is useless if their product doesn't work on our one and only printer. Buyer beware! read more

The business owner of Cartridge World in Redmond responded to my One Star review of his business (scathing review posted below) from Sept 17, 2014 (2 months ago). Seems he doesn't enjoy having a One Star review. His response basically stated that this poor customer experience was due to the mistake of another location. This is incorrect. He also stated that we left his premises "vowing revenge", which is also incorrect. He was not at the location when this situation emerged and has never tried to remedy the situation. Instead he wants to slander a customer who had a poor experience and gave him a negative review. It seems as if the owner of Cartridge World in Redmond wants do dilute the negative feedback we gave him 2 months ago. Let's look at the facts. First of all, he is responding more than 65 days after the incident where his employee offered a price for a cartridge over the phone, then changed the price once we arrived at the location saying that the cartridge quoted was not in stock. This is called "bait and switch" and it is not only illegal, it is very poor business as well. Thanks Yelp for allowing customers to share these reviews with one another! The owner of cartridge World in Redmond seems to want to portray the incident in question as one where an irate customer could not get his way and therefore threw a tantrum and vowed revenge. Never happened! Not only was he not at the location, he simply put a "spin" on the tone of our previous review, trying to give a different impression to other Yelp users. Fact is we simply drove to Staples and gave them our business instead. This customer gave an appropriate review for an awful experience. This customer also reported this incident to the Cartridge World corporate offices. The franchise owner of Cartridge World in Redmond was notified by his corporate office of the complaint and eventually read about it on Yelp. We never once had a dialogue. Wouldn't it seem more sincere if a business owner who received a poor review asked for a dialogue with a dissatisfied customer and tried to make it right? An apology would go a long way. Not this guy. He wants to address customer complaints 2 months after they are posted and then wants to portray the customer as being at fault. Buyer beware! (previous post from Sept 17,2014) - MUST READ - Bait & Switch losers! Needed a cartridge refill for my HP color printer and went to their Issaquah, WA location. They said that their toner guy was out and called the Redmond, WA location for me. The Issaquah employee told me they would hold one in Redmond for me and the price would be $49.95. I drove the 15 miles in heavy traffic to get there 30-40 minutes later. The girl behind the counter (the only one there) produced the cartridge and told me the price would be $79.95 for the cartridge. I reminded her of the price quote I was just given and she then said that the quote was for a regular cartridge and all they had to sell was the higher capacity cartridge for the higher price. She then went on to say that these locations are all franchises and they are not required to honor any prices from other locations (the price she herself quoted to the Issaquah employee). I told her I would rather pay full price ($85 at Staples) then to get ripped off by scam artists and walked out. I am hoping that people read this and take their business online or to other cartridge businesses. I will hold true to my word and enter the worst possible review for this company to every possible customer review forum. Karma should teach these people a lesson! read more

Great prices - my Canon cartridges are about 33% less here than going through Staples and getting the OEM ones. They recycle your used tanks and claim to refill their cartridges with more ink than the OEM ones. I don't know if that's true but the cartridges are good quality (I can't distinguish between the OEM ink and theirs) and seem to last awhile. Online stores tend to have better prices, but ink quality is very hit-or-miss, and the quantity of ink provided varies widely. These guys are locally owned, and for that reason I support them instead of going online. read more

These guys are great. They even suggested a printer that uses less product. It isn't often that a business will suggest something that makes them less money. Every singletime I have bought ink here, it never works with my printer. My printer doesn't like those refurbed cartridges. My roommate was unaware of this. So again, ink that didn't work. The woman that works there is VERY rude and it took a guy in back bringing out a printer like mine, installing their ink to prove to her it didn't work. Now the roomie knows to not go there again.It's bad enough they cost so much and their products don't work, but the attitude needs to go. read more

I've been using the Redmond CW location for some time now...I've had nothing but great customer service.

I have gone here a number of times, and in the past, have enjoyed the experience. However when I went in recently the owner/manager/in-charge was incredibly rude. He lectured me for asking for a service that I had received at this location before, and he very dramatically threw away the used cartridges I brought in. I had compatibility issues with the replacement cartridges I purchased for my HP printer. When I attempted to return them, the female salesperson tried to say they were not their cartridges. It's not the money I'm out that I was disturbed about, it was her attitude like I was trying to return substitute cartridges. I'll not be doing business here in the future. read more

We bought Ink from them for years with a few problems but not to bad. This time I got a cartridge and asked to have it tested as we had issues before and was trying to not have to drive back. The lady behind the counter seemed put out to have to test it and after all that it did not work in there machine so she emptied some out she said and it worked. Got home and it did work for 2 weeks with little printing then it stopped and printer said it was still 1/2 full. Sent my wife to take it back and the lady at the counter called her a liar and would do nothing for us. I went back later to try and talk to her and she is rude and said she would not honor their guarantee and we used it up and were lying. I had my receipt and tried to be nice but I now see why they are going out of business pure lack of respect for customers. It looks like I am not the only one on here to have a problem with her so I would recommend to buy genuine products even if they cost a little more. Hope they go out of business soon as life is to short to deal with people like that. read more

I really want to comment about the customer service at Cartridge World. It is so rare these days that business folks are not only helpful, but are actually happy when they know they are assisting you. That's what it is like at Cartridge World. i have used them for a number of years for cartridge replacements for quite a few printers. They are always ready to replace a cartridge at no charge if it is even suspected of being faulty (which is rare, but can happen). Everyone there is pleasant and positive. My most recent experience was followed a week or so later with an email from the fellow who had helped me, asking if everything was working ok. WOW! read more

We have been going to cartridge world for a long time and on a recent Saturday evening my husband drove in to Redmond to get a new cartridge because our sons had school work to print and they closed early. The shop was empty but he was there before closing. The rest of the stores had power so we had to conclude that the person working there just wanted to leave early. Great location in downtown Redmond is about the best thing going for this place. Good parking and easy to the 520 freeway. The service is ok too but there are a lot of "price stuffing" on some products which can be a turn off. read more

Ive been a customer here for the past few years. The customer service isn't great. The store is normally empty but it takes a while for someone to come to the front desk. They bluntly ask what you need and your given your ink. No friendly service or anything spectacular. I'm not an ink expert but I've noticed their ink dries up strangely FAST. I paid close to $50 (that price includes the recycled cartridge discount) for color and black ink. When I installed the new ink, my printer said the black ink had only 1/4 ink available. I thought hmm this is new.. I just bought it. I disregarded it and went about my day. Less then two weeks later my black ink is gone! I've only printed a couple papers so I decided to call the store. I told the owner my story and asked if I could have this black ink replaced since it wasn't filled completely when I first made the purchase. She ignored what I said and blamed the ink drying up on the weather. I reminded her how if this is true then it must have dried up in her store. I again asked if I could have this black ink replace. (I mean come on... I paid full price for a practically empty cartridge). She rudely replied, "If you come I will charge you!" And hung up on me... Needless to say I will never return to this store.
