First time here. Quite happy with the experience. Saw some less than stellar reviews but that was not my experience at all. Friendly and quick. If you want surly with long lines I suggest the UPS Store or the nearby post office. This worked well for me and it's close to Pagliacci if you fancy a quick slice or Bob's for an excellent butcher shop. read more

I asked for the least expensive way to ship some products I needed to return. I was shocked to find out that I needed to pay $45 for shipping. It ate up so much of the money I was getting back that i almost cried. THEN, I found out that I could have sent the package for under $10 via USPS, which the store does have. The jerk owner did this knowingly. NEVER go here unless it is to drop off a pre-paid package for pick up. I related this to some neighbors who have had similar experiences. I cannot imagine how he stays in business. read more

Amazing little convenient shipping shop! The staff here is very friendly and helpful! I love being able bring in my fedex, ups or usps parcels out into the world here. I think the people leaving bad reviews are over-entitled and rude folk who expect everything to revolve around them. If people actually read directions, they'd know what you can and cannot expect a shipping reseller to be able to do. Also, if you're rude to staff, why would you expect them to help you? I've seen it first-hand quite often in seattle, and it's unfortunate. read more

Columbia City Parcel and Post is in a convenient location right in the beginning of Columbia City by Bank of America. Allows you more choices than just the postal service to send packages, etc based on cost and time for delivery and also has some basic supplies available. Owner is helpful and can assist with difficult packaging and international deliveries. read more

Customer service here has consistently been stellar. I have frequented the business for a year and will miss having them nearby when I move. Highly recommend. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to say something here. Very unfriendly service. Wouldn't even move my package a few inches claiming a bad back...? Maybe not the best person to be working at a shipping place. Never going back!! read more

They refuse to print shipping labels or lift a finger. Your package had better be completely ready to go, otherwise this place is useless.

After reading all these reviews, I had to check this place out for myself. What I found: no line at 4pm, the clerk asks if I have usps packages (I do) then points to a bin. I also have a few packages to pay for; it's $8 to ship a book vs $4-5 via media mail, but I agree for the sake of making one stop instead of two or three. He makes sure the addresses are accurate, he prints the labels, we chit chat a little, and then my errand is done. An easy one stop shop. read more

AMAZING service! UPS damaged an item I had shipped, yet tried to say I improperly packed it. CC&P steered everything, basically representing me as my shipping lawyer to advocate for me. The wife, Tramanh conferenced me in on calls with UPS, and called them almost every day for updates. I didn't have to lift a finger, they drove everything and stood up for me! This is why you support local businesses. The UPS branch would not have represented me the way they did. Keep in mind that her husband, who staffs the front desk - english is not his first language, so he isn't (currently) waxing profusely about current events. As others have pointed out, he's a whiz at getting you the best price and helping you with your options. If you've ever visited another country, it's one thing to learn a few greeting phrases, but one hell of a step up to hold the conversation that will come your way with just that greeting. They have my full support and I will do everything I can to support them. read more

I came in to ship two packages the week before Christmas and the experience wasn't great. When I walked in, the employee was in back eating lunch, but could see the front door. That's fine, but then he didn't greet me or get up until I announced I was there to ship a few boxes (why else would I be there?). The person helping me was a little mumbly and I just didn't leave with a great feeling. I much prefer The Postman in the CD for their excellent service and clean, bright shop! read more

Sadly I've been going to this place for years because it's the only close place to my house but after today I just simply can't bear it any longer. The guy who works there clearly hates his job and seems to hate everyone who steps foot in there. The place is filthy and totally disgusting. I have gotten used to never getting a "Hi" or hello when I go in there to ship packages. I've gotten used to zero pleasantries or politeness. Today I walked in at 9:25 and set my packages down on the table he walked over it to me and yelled at me that they don't open until 9:30 AM. And lifted his arm to shoo me away. His door was unlocked and the OPEN sign was up. And I got yelled at. So done. read more

Terrible customer service. They are unwilling to help and will lie to you to get you off the phone. They will give you misleading information because they are inadequate to want to do their jobs. You get paid to help people get their packages at a post office. The person I talked with started yelling at me and talking over me, even scolded that my package was being sent back to sender when initially that is the reason for my call! Unbelievable! Whoever Leanne is or if that is even her name, needs a new position or job. Like sorting mail and not answering phones, because clearly she doesn't know what customer service is. read more

I was here the other week to mail a parcel down to a friend of mine in Palm Springs. Today, I go to my mailbox to find the item returned for insufficient postage. So, I walk over to see the owner and let him know what happened: he does NOT apologize and then proceeds to be gruff and charges me the correct postage for his error. Again, no hello, no apology, no thank you for your business. So now, my parcel is delayed about a few days due to this error that could have been easily avoided. How does he stay in business?! I will never give him another cent of mine for postage/mailing needs. I get better service at our very own US Postal Service, and THAT says a lot! :-) He's a complete jerk! read more

I have been shipping packages from CCP&P for many years and it is my go to. I get the same great service every time I come in, always presented with my shipping options and best prices... read more

Only come here if you want to drop off a prepaid box for pick up by USPS/UPS/FedEx (just put your box on the floor and avoid any human engagement). Historically for that much it has been great to have this business. But the guy who works here is and has always been miserable. No matter how friendly the hello he just scowls at you and forget about a hello in response... a reluctant head nod has been the max. Maybe because it is interrupting his soap opera. In past visits I've always considered it a challenge and have given super happy greetings hoping to inspire some amount of good vibes. I always loose the challenge. Last time I was there I was unaware of shipping requirements (I had recycled a Priority Mail box and didn't realize this meant I had to pay a Priority Mail rate, which was almost as expensive as the thing I was returning). Certainly my confusion wasn't his fault, and I concede it may have even been annoying despite my being friendly and imploring about hoping to get some help for a better shipping solution. There were no other customers so why not spend a few minutes more helping me? In his own way he was trying to help me but he was so distracted, irritable, and unspeaking (muttering) that it just felt terrible. If he could have been even modestly patient and explained the price points/options in a friendly way it could've easily been sorted. (He offered a used box which was cool but it didn't much change the price at all.) I asked to buy a bubble envelope from him for my 6oz item, but they don't have any.) In the end I was far too afraid to ask if I could use 8" of his packing tape to just send it in the large envelope I had on me, and anyway by then he grunted and just waved me away, refusing to engage with me at all. I asked him why he couldn't be more friendly but that fell on indifferent ears. I want go back to support a small business but I don't need the guaranteed dose of mean. read more

Very unfriendly clerk (probably the owner), never greets back, never smiles, never offers a receipt scan for UPS drop-offs to give me a feeling of trust that my parcels are indeed in the system. I feel uncomfortable every time I enter this shop and will ship my parcels elsewhere going forward, even if it's an otherwise unnecessary detour for me. read more

Everybody who gives this place a crappy review kind of cracks me up. I'm from the east coast, and maybe it's why I don't care that the guy who runs it is not being fake friendly. The guy who runs the place is not a "service with a smile!" kind of guy. But he does his job, tells you what the cheapest way of mailing stuff is, and has always been careful and thorough with me in making sure the address, customs form, etc, are filled out correctly. He doesn't talk a lot, he doesn't smile unless he feels like it, and I respect that. Early on in the COVID-19 pandemic, he was wearing a mask and gloves and disinfecting the high touch surfaces when most places thought it wasn't a big deal. He doesn't have to kiss my ass to run his business competently. read more

The owner here is not one bit friendly. I'm a nice person and I'm extremely polite and friendly. I stopped by here to drop off a UPS package and asked for a receipt. He says ""NO RECEIPT!" period. No attempt at being polite... like "I'm sorry, we don't offer receipts here." Ugh. Nada. Just a gross feeling. Will never buy anything in here again. Look Mr. Unfriendly Owner, if you WANT customers, (this man is the owner) you should TRY to be friendly. You have no idea, I might come back here tomorrow if you're a smiling friendly guy, and spent $100. Your grumpy face just lost you a customer. :-/ read more

This place is great, no lines, convenient and close to the bus and light rail. The owner isn't effusively friendly, but I've been going for years and he's never been rude either. Just a man of few words. I'm also surprised by the negative reviews. I'm grateful to have this place in the neighborhood--otherwise I have no idea where to schlep UPS returns, and who wants to deal with lines at the post office. read more

Never stand in line at the freakin' post office again! The lovely people who run this place will go through every shipping option available for your package and will always suggest the best deal. And guess what, USPS, it's not always you! Suck on that! One would think that having every option under the sun would take more time. One would be wrong. It's super fast. But if you do ever find yourself waiting, you'll also find yourself chit-chatting with the neighbors and actually enjoying your time in the tiny shop. The best thing at Columbia City Parcel & Post, aside from no lines and smiling friendly people to help you (hear me, USPS? There's a new term for you to google: help) anyhoodle, as I was saying, if your prepaid return box to, oh, let's just say Zappos for the sake of argument, is ready to go, just drop it off and leave. That's it. No fuss no muss. No waiting in an endless line hoping no one goes the proverbial postal while you're standing there, and wondering if the crazy with the semi-automatic might not just be you if you're ever in that endless post office line again. Oh dear, did I just write that? read more

They remember me by name! They have free candy, AND I am offered multiple options for shipping! I can fax immediately when in the field, buy stamps, unique gift items and more! They handle my needs, with a high level of customer service! FAX, ship, notary service, passport photo's, copies, greeting cards the only way to get a 6th Star is to have ICE COLD BEER!! read more

The other reviews are spot on. This place is small and a little run down, but it gets the job done. Columbia City Parcel & Post doesn't sell a lot of extras but they are always willing to give me a used box for my packages when I need it (for free). I avoid the Columbia City post office and pretty much exclusively come here. I have never had to wait in line (amazing!). It's also a great place to drop off all your UPS and FedEx returns. Parking is easy! read more

Literally the WORST service. Avoid this place if you can! I tried to drop a package that was all ready for shipping, packaged, sealed with label. The place closes at 5:30pm. At 5:26 the owner had locked the door. When I peered in and waved, he shook his head and pointed at the clock. I shrugged and tapped my watch. Showed him it was not 5:30pm yet. He reluctantly opened the door, did not say a word and pointed to where I can leave the box. Then he stood by the door, but didn't open it for me, made me open it for myself. He didn't utter a word the entire time. I said thank you and also mentioned that I assumed they wouldn't lock their doors until 5:30pm because those are the business hours listed. I'm hoping some other option for these servers opens up in this area soon because this place really sucks under this new ownership. read more

Wow. This place is terrible. I went in to drop off a UPS package and when I walked in the guy sitting there said "on the floor." I had to ask if he was speaking to me and he repeated "put it on the floor." When I asked for a receipt he said "no." When I said forget it I'm going somewhere else he just nodded his head. I went to the UPS store on Othello and had a much better experience. read more

Okay, sometimes they are really nice and it's good to have a place close by to do all this stuff. BUT I will say that the faxing is too expensive and they charge you if you don't use their coversheet which is just weird. So I will go there if I need them and I don't dislike it but it's not as 'Columbia City friendly' as I would like. read more

The owner/shopkeep of this business is rude each and every time I come in. As a local on foot, this business is the closest USPS drop-off, so I still stop in sometimes to leave packages if I'm late to leave them for my own mail professional. Each and every time he bullies me for coming in -- probably because I'm not spending and money, granted. But I might...have. Now I'll surely never give him a cent, but I will keep coming in to leave packages if I need to. I no longer even look him in the eye, respond or say thank you because he's so consistently abusive. I pray for this man. He's clearly in pain or feeling trapped in some way. I can't support this business, or the way he treats some of his customers, though. read more

The people who work here are kind and friendly. It's very convenient from my work to drop off returns (USPS, UPS, FedEx) - I just hope they get some commission from these! If I have any shipping needs, I'd like to support this local store. There's also never a wait! read more

This is a great little shop, hidden just off Rainier across Edmonds from Bank of America. It is a small, cluttered little place, but the guy who was running the place was pretty cool and laid back. I asked what the best way to ship my item was, he made a couple recommendations, then helped me pick the best way to ship. He can do FedEx and U.S. Postal Service, and he might even have a UPS pickup, but I didn't see anything about UPS in there. They can also do copies, faxes, and apparently they have mailboxes if you need one. Not to mention they are open until 3:00 on Saturdays, which fits my lazy, sleep in, goof off all morning as I get motivated Saturday. read more

The guy that runs this place sucks. I'm not looking for friendly or even "customer service". I'm simply not expecting absolute rudeness. Beyond that, it is a dishonest rate. I went to shop three things. The first two seemed really high, upon the 3rd one, he said the cheapest USPS rate was $33. I said no I'll take it to USPS down the road, where I shipped it for $20!! $13 cheaper is no slight error wtf. read more

Dropped off many packages here instead of post office, convenient and friendly. The guy behind counter is always nice to me and other customers I see there. The other reviews for receipt for packages for UPS is confusing bc if you dropped off at UPS drop off sites you don't get receipt ive been to a UPS facility and they told me to leave by drop off area. But you can sign up for notifications when they pick up. He is a small business owner who serves as a 3rd party. I only use USPS there so I haven't had this problem and dropped off UPS with package and UPS emailed me when it was picked up from there. Overall good facility , neighborhood spot to make it convenient and always friendly. read more

A week before Christmas I needed to ship some packages to the east coast. I showed up at the Columbia City post office 10 minutes before they opened (scheduled for 9 am). There were about 30 people already waiting ahead of me in line. Ugh, one reason (besides the parking lot, or lack thereof) that I don't like that USPS location. I rolled over to CC parcel and post, a few blocks away, which was to open at 9:30 am. The owner showed up about 20 minutes early to open the shop (!!), and I was the first one there, so I was in and out in 5 minutes. Also, he was able to give me price comparisons, and USPS rates would have been more expensive. So I saved money and time. There was no saltiness from the owner, he was nice, happy to help. Total life saver. read more

The owner is always friendly and fun to me. I like him and we always playfully joke with each other when I stop in to pick up mail. He is direct and to the point, and I know I can trust him to get my packages in and out. read more

Yikes. Not impressed with this facility and would highly recommend going elsewhere. Every time I came in the guy behind the counter would ask me my box # and tell me "Oh, no mail!" When most times Id open the box and there would be mail? Weird. They charge over $15 in extra fees beyond what they advertise, for set up and state that there is a refundable key deposit. I went in today (the last day of my fully paid second month) to return the key and get my cash back for the key, and the guy (Im suspecting the owner?) would not refund me for my key when I returned it. The key was in great condition and there was nothing wrong with it so I don't understand why he refused. Its really a shame that small businesses decide resort to swindling customers out of their cash. Its tough times, I understand, but are shady business practices really the answer? If this business cant be trusted or held to their word, I doubt its a safe place to receive any important mail. Regretting using this business. Oh well! Im sure it'll cost more to re-key the box than it would have been to give me my key deposit back- which makes me think that they likely don't add new locks to these mailboxes. Not a safe bet. read more

The new owners seem to have no concept of customer service. The previous owners were always friendly, even if the place seemed disorganized and messy. I was disappointed to walk in and see the new owners who barely paid any attention to me. The customer is invisible! read more

Nice alternative to going to the post office. You can ship Fed Ex, USPS, and I think UPS as well. The gentleman behind the counter is very nice. read more

We had the same experience as many others, an extremely rude owner. He is aggressive, dismissive and treated us poorly.

UPDATE: Soon after I posted this review, the owners sold to someone new! The new owners are absolutely awesome :) They're friendly and cheerful, and most importantly, they're open during posted hours. I'm pretty happy...especially now that I've moved back to the area. read more

Other than convenience, not much to rave about. This is an entirely different ownership of that from about 2-3 years ago. The reviews I see posted during this period were apt. Today's ownership is very "indifferent to the customers, dosen't seem to be interested and to date has not acknowledge or spoken to me in the 4 or 5 times I have been a customer. I'm not totally sure if it is just me, but I think not. While in line behind other customers, the person ( i believe the owner) seem to care less if any of us were there to conduct business. Again, if it is were not for the convenience, I would do business elsewhere; and I do when it involves larger $$$ transactions that I have to pay. read more
