I like coming to this Post Office because of the sheer history of the building. It's probably one of the oldest buildings in Santa Paula, which makes it pretty cool. It's located in not the best part of town, so just be always aware when you're coming to and from your car. Even though the police station is right across the parking lot, there are people loitering across the street. Always a good reminder to be on guard wherever you are. One thing that is rather annoying is that even if you're just dropping off a package, already labeled and paid for, you still have to stand in line and give it to a clerk. I remember at this location you used to be able to drop it in one of their drop boxes. That is now locked. So if the line is very long, which is usually the case at any P.O., that can be really frustrating. Part of it being pre-labeled is I want to save time by dropping it off! Other than that, the 2 windows are usually opened and the clerks are friendly enough. Sorry- but this branch has been REPEATEDLY problematic. Whoever is hiring the staff here needs to be fired. The customer service here is 50/50 & you never know what you are going to get. Some people are VERY nice- some people are just rotten, unhelpful humans. I've had several parcels delivered to the wrong address & the package never tracked. This is a big loss when you are ordering from a mom & pop's small business or etsy or ebay. Not everyone is an amazon customer! Is it theft? Is it carelessness? Idk bc it's happened REPEATEDLY to many, many people in our community. I've never complained about it before but it just hasn't changed over the years. Then, on top of that, receiving an attitude at the window in-person. It's just bad. I did notice the pretty lighting fixtures in the lobby bc i was standing in line forever. read more

Pretty much every time an Amazon order has to come in via USPS, they "run into an issue" and don't deliver it on time. I've gotten multiple messages saying "delivery attempted but no response" and show absolutely nobody coming near my house or much less attempting to deliver anything on my camera. I've filled out a release form that they can just leave it, I spoke to the manager and employees multiple times about it, it's useless. It's an incompetent bunch. I'm sure they have a lot to do and overworked, and I understand a one off, but this is happening REGULARLY! Fix it! read more

The employees here are rude, flippant, and have no interest in customer service. Hopefully you don't get packages lost because they'll just laugh at you and say something like "Sucks bro, sorry, I guess.. lol" Must be lame to not be a d**k and work here because of the branches reputation. I wish I could give 0 stars, rude, unorganized, I had to FIGHT tooth and nail to get my package, I have NEVER in my life dealt with such incompetence. Took over a week to get my sons diapers, they literally gave me the run around everyday claiming to deliver it. Then they told me it was delivered even though I have cameras and knew it hadn't been. Explained to the postmaster that I would bring over the video to show her, she told me there was no need, that she believes her employees and believes it was delivered. I then asked for her supervisors number as I was so upset that they were not only not believing me but unwilling to even look into it without already having a bias opinion, I was spoken to as if I was a great annoyance and just a problem for them. she refused to give me her supervisors information and told me go ahead and call the 800 number and said goodbye. A few minutes later I get a callback from her with a completely different tone because they realized my diapers had been at their "main"office this entire time and I was correct they were never delivered. What did get for everything they put me through... "I'm sorry this got so out of hand". can't even put into words how absolutely rude, condescending and unprofessional they were. you can call Amazon and have it put on your account that you would preferred to have any other carrier besides US PS deliver your packages, I strongly recommend you do this, as this post office cannot be trusted, only care about their code of protecting one another and not their customers. extremely disappointed as I am a lifetime resident here in Santa paula and enjoy doing any kind of business in town I can help. read more

If I could rate this post office with zero stars I would. I have a small business in Santa Paula and the service here is so bad that I refuse to drop packages here ever again. The employees are zero help, the supervisor has zero customer service skills and the post master is useless. This location also has not followed COVID-19 rules. I've encountered employees and customers without masks on too many occasions. Go to any other post office. This place is horrible. read more

I can't understand the delivery policy here . We have 3 mailboxes in a single post , sometimes I get my neighbors mail no problem I'll put it back But why do the 2 get mail and we don't ? I just checked today my neighbors got mail my box has nothing ,and never get mail on Monday since it's trash day and the mail carrier can't get out of his truck but I saw him down the street walking down the sidewalk . read more

I totally agree with Brittany B. There is almost no-way to file a complaint with ANY business these days, much less TALK TO A MANAGER of a company. And as she says, they insist that the company is always right and never make mistakes. It's too much of a robotic world. I re-downloaded Yelp solely to leave this review. I will say that whenever I actually go into the post office the experience has been efficient and pleasant. The good stuff ends there. Our mail service has been the worst I've ever experienced. We moved here last October and our mail routinely arrives late, damaged, opened, etc. We have received mail that wasn't ours, had our mail sent to our neighbors, had packages undelivered, or incorrectly forwarded to the houses previous owners. One piece of our mail I found lying in our front yard. When I leave outgoing mail for them to take they rarely take it. I bought a clothespin to pin the outgoing mail to the outside of my mailbox in case visibility was the issue. Well, they finally took the outgoing mail but they snapped the clothespin in half and left the pieces lying on the ground in front of the mailbox. Some days, the mail doesn't arrive at all or we will receive letters that clearly should have arrived days earlier. I am just at a loss. I've lived in several, much larger cities and had hardly any problems, ever, with mail service. read more

The only reason I am leaving two stars instead of 1 is because she at least tried to help. I called to get some information on a package and she seemed very annoyed. Very rude, she transferred me to another women also sounded very annoyed and made me feel like I was bothering them. Constantly heard both of them sigh and "Ugh". I was simply trying to figure out if they had a misplaced package there for me. If you need answers I recommend walking in. S.P. Post Office has done it again. My daughter was waiting excitedly for delivery of her University Diploma. It came severely damaged - like it was run over by something. S.P. Post Office put a little sticker on it saying it came to them that way. (I uploaded photos but don't know if they'll appear.) If this had been the first time, I might believe it. I not long ago sent an envelope containing a check across town. It arrived with both envelope and check torn. A couple weeks ago we got a batch of mail, including invoices, all of which was post marked four to six weeks prior. A couple months ago I received a rent check postmarked nearly one month prior. I had already called the tenant who insisted the'd paid on time. Well, they had, and I had to call back and tell them the P.O messed up. Terrible Post Office terribly managed. I now drive any important items to the Ventura P.O. on Wells. But there's nothing I can do about incoming mail. read more

What can I say, after loosing several packages over the past couple of years using a rented PO Box at Santa Paula USPS I finally decided I had enough of the attitude and lack of customer service. I live out on a ranch near Santa Paula so I thought it convenient to have my mail delivered in-town. Well, not a good experience after 3 packages "lost" during my first year and 2 more the following year I rented a USPS box. All packages were tracked to the staff as signing for the deliveries but when I confronted them with written tracking files al I got was a statement to "file a claim because there is nothing in your box". I finally decided it wasn't worth it having my mail stolen so I rented a box at the UPS store even if I have to drive further down the road. read more
