Four hours later, I went for my 1pm appointment and was told their on-line system doesn't really work and they don't have a notary today. Looked up store hours for Saturday. It said they close at 3pm. I got there at 2:55, carried big boxes from the car to the door, just to find that it was already locked. I verified the hours on the door, it said 3pm. All I needed to to is drop off and go, would have been a 20 second visit. I saw the owner and employees inside. They saw me standing there with boxes. I knocked and they signaled for me to go away through the glass. I signaled back that they had 5 more minutes until 3pm. They refused to open the door, I knocked and tried explaining but they kept shooing me away. I had issues with this store in the past when they refused to wear a mask after the mask mandate started. When you have a business in a small town, you really can't afford to behave like this. People remember. People know. I will be calling corporate to make a complaint and will post on local neighborhood networks to spread the word, and avoid supporting this business. read more

Adriana is one of the newer hired staff there, and she went beyond expectations to look for important repair parts we ordered yesterday. Imagine being a middle supplier of hardware, clothing, food and still offering service to a variety of people with kids, canines and attitude... She is very calm, patient and a good representative. The worst service from both the young girls working there. We sent a package from EBay for $350.00 plus a delivery and insurance fee of $170.00. Prices and policies are ridiculous. I've encountered the owner before and he is rude, greedy, and generally unhelpful I needed to print a return label for an amazon package and emailed it to the store. They charged around $5 for two pages of black and white printed paper. This place overcharges for everything. Only come here if you are dropping off packages that are already labeled. read more

This happened to me once before at this store. I attempted to return an Amazon package. The instruction are very explicit, they say "THE UPS STORE, who will scan the QR code, pack, and ship your return for FREE." This store said that I have to buy a package to ship it in. the clerk there also said that Amazon has one requirement, but the UPS store has another. This is absolutely not correct. Millie was the only employee at the store and while handling other guests as she went she was able to offer assistance and advice to us on how to best ship our gifts (we came in unprepared and with little idea on the process). The employee didn't know they close at 7:00 pm and when i got there at 6pm, very rude she told me they were going to close at 6:30 which didn't make sense because it said 7pm outside. Worst service came in to do a livescan, gave the lady my information and she input my name wrong. Had to miss a month of class because Department of Justice would not clear me to continue my next class course. Went back to do my livescan again she acknowledged it was her fault never apologized and still charged me for her error to do redo my livescan. Even on the second time she was typing my birth date wrong!!! Good thing I looked how she typed my information this time. Had to submit a claim with corporate UPS and still trying to get them to refund me for an error that the lady at UPS store in Santa Paula made!!! UPS needs to take care of their customers better when the error is done by their employees. STAY AWAY!!! I went to get two sets of passport photos taken, and when I went to post office to submit my and my daughters applications they rejected the photos. So had to have my photos redone at passport office. When I returned to UPS store he would not give me a refund, after insisting he refunded one set! What's that about? I had a fabulous experience with the Store Manager of the UPS Store. I was renewing my passport and sending in the proper documents and before sending and sealing the envelope, she reminded me to check for certain things, which I didn't know (b/c I was sending the application for my wife who signed and read all the docs). The Store Manager went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that the passport renewal application didn't get sent back to me. I appreciate your work Millie, thanks for your help. I am not one to take the time, unless in extreme cases, to write negative reviews about something. In this case, I felt the need to do so about this particular store. Recently, I dropped off my Chegg (college) book rentals in a box to be sent back to the company in Oregon. To note, the labels were properly placed and all the books were secured in the box as I am always sure of this before returning the books, and even was accepted by the staff at this store. Within two days the box was returned to my house with the return label to Oregon appearing to be forcefully ripped off, also with a book missing from the box- I received it in this condition right when it was dropped off on my doorstep. I've done this maybe 100 times and this is the first time I've had this problem with this store. I called the store and talked to the manager and was surprised how he handled it; he first became extremely defensive and did not make any effort at all to check the store, check records, or really just hear my situation. Essentially, he couldn't do anything about it he said. Thank goodness for the rental company, they worked with me in this situation and helped me far better than this UPS store/staff ever did, and they aren't even in charge of the return and package handling. I am still surprised by this occurrence because UPS is a great company, I use them all the time, and they get the job done. This particular store is the point of my complaint. They are unprofessional, disorganized, and lack customer service which is critical in my opinion when handling this sort of process. I believe the management there is indeed the worst aspect of this store, being that they were supposed to be the only ones that could at least, at least try to help in any way possible. Hopefully you read this and use a different store. If you look at the negative reviews on here, you see a pattern with the complaints- they are relative and the dates are close together. This has to be a management/staff problem. I got lucky in my case but others may not use the same rental company I did so their outcome could be worse as they may have to pay for the book(s) being lost. This a crucial process for not just students, but the public in general as it could include items that could cost significant amounts of money due to it being lost. read more
