They hardly ever get anything right. 75% of the time a package I ordered gets delivered thru the post office it doesn't arrive on time and the lovely postal employees these people are truly from a different cut. Many people get frustrated at the post office but I actually experienced something different. They were friendly, funny and efficient. Sometimes their job is not easy. Customers are impatient and rude. The slow lines aren't because of the employees but because the customer wasn't ready with things filled out or properly packed. They told me "thank you" for being ready to mail my packages. read more

This post office always has a much longer line than the Ellwood branch. It is much larger and open on saturdays, but I feel like it is much less efficient and definitely understaffed. As far as post offices go, it's average, but I'd say head to Ellwood if you can. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I have been having mail delivery issues for over a year. I have called multiple times, but mail is either not being delivered or being given to neighbors (who will not ever give it to me.) I went out of town for a week and they ignored my mail hold and kept delivering. Now, two days in a row they bent envelopes that were clearly too large for the box (both times the "package" boxes were available) and ruined the contents because they are too lazy to put a package in the proper size mailbox. Now they no longer have a local phone number so there is no way to even call and complain or at least ask why the carrier thought it was ok to bend my "do not bend" envelopes and destroy them. I have never had worse service from any business in my life. Their proposed solution? I should pay for a PO Box - but who is to say they won't keep ruining my packages and putting my mail in the wrong box - but this time it will cost me. I so wish we had a better alternative. Worst customer service!!! I would definitely give them a zero star if it was possible. Sure, my fault for not being at home when you guys deliver, but I expect you to at least knock on my door when I wasted all day waiting for my package. I made a schedule for redeliver and you tell me I didn't make one the day after. I made another one the next day and you give my junk mail but not my package. I would love to come to pick up my package but I don't have my ID ( my ID is my package). I try to call the office and not only they did not pick up but they also hang up on me. Absolute worst post office. Was there today and the counter person looked annoyed. He said something so low and fast that I did not hear. So I said excuse me? He repeated loud and like a robot like I was dumb. I wanted to jump over the counter and knock his a_# out. Horrible service. And the US postal service wonder why they are loosing business. The reason for the low stars is one worker in particular at this branch. I don't know his name, because he doesn't wear a name tag. He is usually in the middle window, about 45 years old, thinning black hair, maybe hispanic/polynesian/portugese. Not sure. BUT... he is ALWAYS confrontational and RUDE and condescending and mean to me, and to EVERY person i see him dealing with while I'm waiting in line. Without fail. Like today, i was mailing an envelope to Russia, and he weighed it, and on the screen came up three options: $3.10, $3.50, and $4.85. I said, "The quickest, please." (meaning the quickest of those three options). He then re-entered some info, and up on the screen came $100, $38, and $35. I said, "no, i'd like the cheaper options shown before", and he kept saying "I'm just showing what you told me." I kept saying, "no, i want the cheaper options shown earlier" and he KEPT saying "I'm only doing what you said, please keep looking at the screen to your left." And finally i had to raise my voice to him and say "I CHANGED MY MIND, PLEASE SHOW ME LESS EXPENSIVE OPTIONS." He knew what i meant, but he was messing with me, and rudely saying "I only did what you asked." You can tell he's just rudely manipulating people who aren't sure which shipping options they want. A few days ago I witnessed him being rude to a woman in front of me in line. There was an issue of how thick her letter was, which had an effect on how much it would cost to ship it. So she pressed down on her letter to let some of the air out of it to flatten it, and he said to her, "Ma'am, PLEASE don't do that!!" Well, mister, that letter belongs to HER until she mails it, so she has every right to press down on it while it's still her personal property. This guy was totally rude to her and embarrassed her in front of all the other customers. How this guy gets to work without a name tag, while being so rude & confrontational to his customers, is beyond me. Next time I see him acting like a jerk, if he isn't wearing his name tag, I intend to ask for his name and talk to the Postmaster about his awful attitude. I know it won't matter -- Postal employees are pretty much locked into their jobs for life without recourse. But i'm going to tell the Postmaster my opinion anyway. Because people in customer service positions shouldn't be allowed to mis-treat other people, no matter how secure their jobs are. read more

This Post Office is a joke.Before you do business here you have to know what's going on behind the doors in that building. .. New Carriers are mandated to work more than 30 days without day off...no medical for new carriers,no uniform ..broken boxes, broken vehicles ( I reported to the station Manager, Stacey, the truck I was supposed to drive had a broken gauge and she told me to drive it like that....how about SAFETY STACEY?) Carriers are mandated to work late nights what's very dangerous. ..HOW ABOUT SAFETY, STACEY??) Carriers can be killed by mistake delivering at 9:30pm with or without uniform. ..carriers can brake a leg or even an ankle because they can't see...can be attacked by dogs late at night... ( HOW ABOUT SAFETY, STACEY?). Broken mail boxes were reported by me to management and nothing was done. (HOW ABOUT SAFETY, STACEY??) I drove a truck without PARKING BRAKE and 3 bald tires....I reported this matter to management and nothing was done ( HOW ABOUT SAFETY, STACEY?) After reporting all these problems to management, I was followed by a supervisor named FABIAN CALDERON ( A former union shop steward who decided to go to the other side) .He was hiding behind a wall where I was delivering mail and started yelling and harassing me that I wasn't wearing a seatbelt and that I was going to be fired...HELLO, I WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE MAILBOX!!! And to yell that I was fired is harassment! !! The post office invented a modern day slavery and STACEY and her marionettes are doing a great job at the Goleta post office. Congratulations to the Postmaster, Tony for not calling me in to ask my side of the history. .very weak Postmaster! So i went in to get my passports done. There was no lines what so ever... Probably because of how rude the employees are. This black hair lady in her mid 50's was helping my brother and me and she was just being so damn rude. So much attitude. It was super uncomfortable the whole 45 minutes that we were there. I wish I could also put zero stars. The people I delt with here are extremely rude and inconsiderate. I had a package to pick up and ended up in a 2 week long battle trying to pick it up. I was always in the wrong. When in fact I was right the whole time. I was told over and over again my package had been returned to the sender. When in FACT it was in this post office the entire time. The teller was rude, nasty, and had me in tears when leaving the office. Refusing to speak to my mom over the phone because she had questions about claiming on the insurance and the tracking number. Long story short, having worked in the customer service industry... the customer is ALWAYS right. I am absolutely disgusted with this post office. And hope I never have to go back there. read more

Ridiculously long lines, even at times that are not rush hour. Service is always rude. Just got openly ridiculed when I finally got to the counter, then when I complained about how I was treated - in front of 10 people in line - I was told they didn't understand what I meant, how had I been mistreated? This Post office is terrible! They mark packages as delivered but don't actually deliver for a few more days. They "lose" packages in the back for a week! Never call back like they promise and get joy out of leaving you to stand at the door waiting for a supervisor for 30 minutes. (Happened to me several times). My latest, they marked my insured package delivered to Ventura, CA . Great, except it was addressed to Alabama! Instead of helping me with my request, they then sent me to a web site. Ridiculous! The web site didn't collect my $30! Why not tell me that the first time instead of making me wait a half hour. They are rude, sarcastic and generally unhelpful. Another post office hung a sign saying if you have trouble with Patterson, you must go to the Patterson office. They must get a lot of complaints about Patterson. If this was a privately held company, it would be long gone. I guess the best we can hope is that they all get coal in their stockings--delivered by FedEx!! read more

I would rather not even give this place a star. The worse system and customer service ever. When my package didn't get delivered, I called USPS and was told that this post office is where my package would go to. Called the post office and the employee told me the packages were still with the carrier and the undeliverable items will be returned later. I asked the employee to hold the package for me there for pickup. Gave him the tracking number and he told me to call back at 7am--any time before 9am before the carrier comes to pick the packages up. So I called at 7am and this time, the employee told me to call back at 10am because there was no one to help me (because that's not what you get paid for no?). She hung up the phone. Called back at 8am. A different employee answered and put me on hold for 10 minutes and then the call just dropped. I then called for the third time. This mofo tells me to call back at 11:30 am when the carrier arrives. (I'm beyond frustrated then. Like, shit. Just tell me where my damn package is!) I decide to just go to the office then without a confirmation of where my package is. The employee tells me they don't have it and it most likely got sent back this morning or yesterday. But they not sure. Don't know where the hell it is. The workers here are stupid as ****. Use Fed Ex or UPS instead. read more
