What can I say, it's a small postal office located conveniently on Leland Ave. The next closest post office is probably San Bruno Ave. This place has friendly staff and usually has one to two clerks depending if it gets busy. Having a post office in your neighborhood conveniently is a plus. This location has several different size flat rate priority boxes to use to ship. They also have PO Boxes to rent and do money orders. And sell stamps of course! Overall, nice place and it even opens on Saturdays at a certain time. -Parking- Parking can be hard and it's usually meter spots. There is a white curb marked in front of the postal office if you are just dropping letters in the box. In/out quick style should b ok! read more

An excellent location along the Leland Ave business corridor in the Visitacion Valley area. Staff members are courteous and friendly. Similar to some of the other post offices, they tend to have only one or two clerks helping the customers. During peak seasons, that is before and after Thanksgiving is when some of the post offices open longer hours and more clerks to help the customers take care of their postal business efficiently. read more

USPS never leaves packages by the door. Even when I setup a redelivery, they never redeliver. I end up having to drive to the post office to pick up my mail. I even leave a note by the door sometimes that says please call this number for package, and still nothing. This is the second time I've requested for redelivery and...nothing. read more

I had to come here a few times to pick up deliveries that needed a signature. Beware - the lines are soo long (on Saturday anyways). I think they only have one person helping customers, usually. Sent mail out via certified mail delivery from this post office on 2/20/19, with tracking number. On review of tracking number today, it looks like there has been NO MOVEMENT of this letter. I paid for certified mail to track this letter. Be careful with your important mail coming from this post office. Now I have to pay for another letter AND have it be delayed. read more

This is the closest postal office to where I live so it's my go-to place. Parking is a little difficult sometimes so I usually just drop off things and have my brother drop me off real quick and drive around or have him find parking real quick. The service is great! My review is for the rude Filipino Lady who helped me this morning. As a Human, I made a mistake on the Money Order I purchased. So, I went back to her and needed it to be voided. The Money Order stated my Boyfriend's name, when I simply was the one who wrote it out. And take note, when you purchase a Money Order, it's yours' by default. Anyway, I was going to write my name on it, since it just said my boyfriend's name, but she wouldn't let me! She got upset and I felt it was Stupid of her to not let me write on my own Money Order so, long story short, I had to keep getting my boyfriend to come back, even though she wasn't clear on how she'd process voiding the transaction. I was in Banking for 6 years! Regardless of the Company, a Money Order is guaranteed rights to the Purchaser! She needs to get re-trained on how to process transactions! read more

Never a horrible line when I come here. Their envelopes for mailing are always well-stocked, which is often a common deficiency for Post Offices. The staff is cool. Only thing is they are closed for lunch and at a ridiculous time of day, so be mindful of that before you plan on coming. read more

This is LITERALLY THE WORST experience I have ever had with USPS. I signed up for Yelp specifically to warn people against going to this location. Everyone from the carriers who pick up mail at my door (and lost my package), to the man working at the office (who was rude), to the woman Wendy who manages the phones for this area (who took a week to get back to me then didn't know how to do a simple refund). I had a package picked up from my house three weeks ago and then it was lost. I went online like I was supposed to in order to file a claim, and no one responded. I sent three claims and called two or three times to check on the status of my package. Everyone told me to go to the Leland office and I would be helped. The woman, Wendy, did not know how to refund me when Click N Ship charged me twice. She said, "You know, you're the second person to ask this today." How do you not know how to do this? I had to call my credit card company and do it that way. When I showed up today to ask the man at the Leland office what happened to my package, he got defensive and said, "What do you want me to do about it?" When I asked for a manager or supervisor, he told me there was not one. He basically told me my package was picked up, then lost, and I should call the number. Every time I call the number, they tell me to go to the post office. This is a horrible, horrible office. DO NOT go here. I would drive 50 miles away just to avoid working with these people. No one knows how to do their job correctly here and the customer service is horrendous. Just AWFUL. read more

It was Saturday and there was one Asian guy with the glasses working there. I gave two items for him as i paid him already to scan for delivery confirmation. He scan one and then didn't scan for the other one. I thought he scanned it, but i carefully look at the receipt, and he didn't scan for the item. I go back to him and he made a excuse. "why don't you go online and mail it yourself?" Oh.... you mean we don't need you at the post office. If you want to quit, then QUIT THE FUCKING JOB. Got the job done, but incredibly rude people working here. There are usually 2 people at the front desk, a Filipino woman and an Asian man. Their English was extremely limited. I got the Asian man. He had an incredibly condescending attitude. He gave me the wrong package when I picked up a delivery. Luckily I noticed as I left the office.. The man so kindly grabbed the package as if i had stolen it. The Filipina woman did not seem any better. The line wasn't that long. I waited about 15 minutes to get to the desk and another 10 at the desk. But seriously, working at the post office is their job. The workers at the desk just fetch packages and sell stamps. It wouldn't hurt to lose some of that attitude. As a broke student, I would gladly take their job. read more

I saw first hand why everyone says there is horrible service. USPS needs to pay for better employees.

This is one of the worst USPS I've ever been to, mostly because of the attitude--especially the lady who worked there. Last time I had an international package and she said I have to use express because otherwise she won't give me a tracking, so I ended up paying much more than previous International packages I mailed before. Also, since i mailed it for a friend, so I had to call her to check if she agreed the price. When I said I had to call my friend if she is willing to pay express, The lady was so RUDE, she literally Slammed the package on the counter and gave me such an attitude (she can process other people's packages anyways, and there were not many people at all!!!). Another bad experience is also with this lady. Sometimes I change a few quarters for laundry or parking at the counter as well (always less than $3), and I never had a single problem changing quarters in USPS for so many years. And there is one time while I'm paying for the shipping and would like to change some of the dollar bills during the time, the lady said, I cannot change it for you, because there are clients waiting. I said, I'm gonna pay for the shipping cost anyways, it's not time consuming to change some quarters for me. However the lady argued and insisted (even after a few minutes that I've already finished paying my shipping), so I just left angrily--- The time she used to explaining and arguing was far more than enough to change a few quarters! SO RUDE!!! **Lemme add a new terrible experience with the lady (OMG why always her), I have to pick up a package at this location, and she threw me a bag as usual, I took it back home, realize it was not mine at all!!! So I have to drive back and get it changed. SHE DIDNT EVEN SAY SORRY. She just kept explaining "oh this package was just near yours so I picked up the wrong one". I very much dislike having to come to this post office when I miss a package OR the delivery person fails to doorbell when I've been home the whole time. I don't know who sorts out the mail and packages at this post office before being sent out for delivery BUT my family and I have had packages delivered to the wrong house far too many times. We've also had others people's mail and packages delivered many times to our house by mistake as well, often from the same home which is a street down from us- our street names do not even remotely sound or look the same. Anyway, I had a package that was supposed to be delivered today and tracking says it was delivered to my front door. But, of course, it's not there. I tried calling the post office. I called a total of 6 times- the first two times, I ended the call within about 10-15secs without answer. The third time I called, I decided to stay on the line until I would get someone to answer or at least get the answering machine to leave a message. After what seemed to be 5 minutes of waiting for an answer, I get an automated response of "The mobile party you are calling is not available" or something of that sorts. Mobile party? But this is the post office?! I call back a couple more times a few minutes later to be immediately greeted with the beeping sound of the phone being busy. Awesome. After another 15 minutes, I call back again, still "busy". Cool. Considering the bad reputation this post office has for customer service, I seriously think someone decided to take the phone off the receiver to make it seem like the phone line is busy due to that one phone call I stayed on trying to get someone to answer as it kept ringing. Must have been irritating for them to hear that continued ringing, huh? You'd think they would just answer the call so they wouldn't have to hear the phone ringing so much. read more

There was only one person in line while the clerk was on his cell phone with a coworker, yet I still waited about 10 mins for service. He rung me up for a package I was sending while still on the phone the entire time. I wanted to get cash back and before I could even choose the option he skipped it on his screen and finished the transaction without even asking me. I told I'm I wanted cash back and that he shouldn't have skipped it without asking. He said "oh well too late." Then he said I should just buy a stamp. I told him I didn't need a stamp that he was wrong for what he did. He said to buy a penny stamp so I proceeded to do so. He rushed the transaction, didn't give me the stamp OR both of my receipts. I asked him for the receipt and he gave me only one. When I got to my car I looked and he have me the one for the last transaction. I had to go back in and ask him for the the package receipt so that I could have the TRACKING #. He rudely tossed it to me. All the while his phone rang twice again and he continued to answer phone calls on his personal cell phone. Very rude service and it's unfortunate to say that I am used to it from this location but this experience was the final straw. And he still didn't give me the stamp I PAID FOR! read more
