I've been going to this post office for many years. I also lease a small PO Box at this location. There is always ample parking. The parking lot gets crowded around the beginning and middle of the month as well as on a few days during the week due to school pickup and drop-offs related to the high school next door. The interior is always clean. The self service kiosk is great when you just need stamps or have basic envelopes/packages to mail. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I love the greeting card section inside as it saves the time of having to go to a store. This location has mailing supplies and boxes/envelopes. The staff will also assist you with choosing the correct box/envelope to mail your particular item(s). I really appreciate that this location is open on Saturdays. read more

This post office is close to my house so every once in a while I'll stop by to run errands. During busy times there might be a line, especially during the holiday rush. Their customer service has always been good. The workers at the counter are kind and helpful! The supervisor was also able to promptly help me when an item was mis-delivered by our mail carrier. Overall, I enjoy having this post office so close to my house! read more

My favorite post office out here!! Why? Because customer service is immaculate!! I love it, you almost feel like your meeting up with an old friend. They know you and treat you well. It's a little drive from me vs the Olson location, but worth it. I've had issues with deliveries, but they have been resolved and rather quickly. The parking situation is easy, and my po box is always safe and secured. I just love the flow of ease and conversation here. Everyone is helpful and personable, the other post offices should get their training from this location. It's also well maintained and clean. read more

A P.O. Box is supposed to be secure and free of theft. Yet, I had two packages stolen/lost/misplaced at my P.O. Box and got no help whatsoever from USPS and their employees. Whether the packages were marked as delivered then stolen by an employee or misplaced into another P.O. Box by mistake, it's absolutely unacceptable to be robbed with no one at USPS being able to take any actions to help me. How are there no cameras inside to see what actually happened? How does packages get marked as delivered and they never show up in my P.O. Box and I'm out on the money I spent on these items because of the incompetence of USPS's employees? One of the items were taken and sold elsewhere online which I was able to track down due to the serial number on the item. I'm out of the money spent on the items that were supposed to be delivered here to my P.O. Box because the USPS employees here at Kiefer blvd can't do their jobs correctly and like to steal or misplace packages into other people's mailboxes that they don't belong in. Wasted my time and robbed (of hundreds) by the employees here by opening up a P.O. Box here. And opening up a claim on their website didn't matter because it got denied since the packages were marked as delivered. They can mark your packages as delivered and do whatever they please with them because since they're marked as delivered, there's nothing else they can do. How about double or even triple checking that you're putting the packages where they belong so they go to who they're supposed to go to or just get employees to stop stealing them if that's taking place. No one at USPS is being held accountable or responsible for this. I can't believe I got no help whatsoever. What a terrible and joke of an experience. read more

This place looks kind of run down likes it's been here since the 80's, but the crowds are small and the service is top notch! LOCATION: At the corner of Keifer and MayhewWitha private parking lot that I've never seen full. DECOR: Post office government colors with some need for improvements. You can tell this location has been here a while. It's clean, but used. STAFF: I've had nothing but great interactions here. They're nice, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I don't have to wait long behind other customers. Even when they're chatty, they're moving along. EXPERIENCE: Each time I come to this location, I find parking right away in front of the doors and have never had to wait behind more than 10 people which is not the case at most post offices I go to. This one doesn't seem to be a high traffic location. I don't do a lot of shipping through usps, but when I do I usually come in without the right boxes and tape and labeling and they are always so helpful in getting me up to speed. I like to go to this one because I know what to expect. They could use an updated decor, but everything else is going right. read more

The employees in this office are simply wonderful. I misplaced my keys when I was there and could not find them anywhere. Every single available employee was helping me search and one young man did find them on the bottom of the trashcan covered up with mail. Obviously it was my fault, but everyone kicked into help. This is a pretty typical post office that offers all the modern conveniences of getting your mail and packages to where they need to go. Vending machines are available to purchase stamps, an indoor mailing slot to drop off your letters; an outdoor drive thru mail box, a section is set aside to buy your mailing items in various sizes, etc. and of course, the main area where postal workers help customers with all their mailing needs. The interior is a little smaller than some of the other post offices I have been to, but during the times I have been inside, it doesn't seem to be too busy. This building is closer to my parents' house and services their neighborhood. I was impressed that one of the employees recognized my dad who used to patronize frequently, but hadn't been in for a long time due to the pandemic. Now I drive my elderly father here weekly to mail their bills. She was very nice and personable to my dad with the understanding that he is hard of hearing and doesn't always understand what is being said to him. There is ample parking with easy access to and from the post office. So I don't mind driving here during errand day for my parents. read more

Needed to renew my passport so decided to come to this location as I had good experiences in the past. Came here Monday morning and there was no line. I got to the counter and was helped by Kelly. I handed my passport renewal packet to her and asked if she could double check for me if I did everything correctly. She kinda said yes. She pulled out all my documents and carefully looked through everything. She noticed that I didn't fill out my DOB and pointed it out to me! Great catch! I would probably have issues with my documents if she didn't help me double check. We chatted for a bit about passport renewal and traveling. She told me she used to work with passports at other locations before transferring to this location. If you need passport renewal, this is the location to be at! Not the counter workers or l facility per say but if you try to talk to someone via the provided phone number you can sit with the phone ringing until you get tired of hearing it. Never have I been able to reach anyone even when mail was stolen! I was forced to go to the Postal Inspector and called them. Really crummy service for all the money we pay to keep this agency running and living well. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for a manager to come help me and nothing. Workers keep passing me and ignoring me and saying absolutely nothing to me! If I could give the post office less, I would. If you have anything of importance you are shipping, or anything of value, DO NOT SHIP USPS. Even though my property was properly insured, they are trying to deny the claim because it wasn't damaged enough. The staff there are polite but the lady running the insurance claims has a huge attitude problem. She first told me there wasn't damage on the packaging, when there was, she said she never took the poster out to bother looking for damage and then tried to tell me on a later date that she pulled it out and saw the damage on the property but is trying to say there was no damage on packaging. She is either willfully ignorant or partially blind. Other employees there saw the damage. Ironically, she's the only one who can't see it. So ship your important or expensive items USPS or Fed Ex because they will actually hold themselves accountable. read more

U.S. Post office WARNING!! DO NOT send anything valuable, especially cash through the Rosemont / Kiefer post office in Sacramento. Hubby mailed $700 cash (i know i know...) in a priority, certified, return receipt pouch to a vendor at the 95827 post office. Someone in that office suspected it was money and literally OPENED AND STOLE IT. They sent us back the return receipt card UNSIGNED. The postmaster in charge of that office said it was mistakenly delivered to another company. We checked with them and they said they never saw it. We will be filing a formal complaint with the Postmaster General.... but in the meantime we want everone to know there are THIEVES/SNAKES in that office so GO ELSEWHERE. Got there before a few minutes before they open. I was greeted by Wati. She was so nice and friendly. I know some people has had bad experiences here, but I had the total opposite. Wati made the experience so quick, easy, and fun! I know people typically hate going to the post office--it's kind of like the DMV in that it's a federal institution that we all have to go to and wait in line for & in that the staff seems somewhat monotonous & even rude. But the employee, Wati, answered all my questions quickly, was able to expedite the process, and just made it easy for me while making me laugh. It was probably the best experience I've ever had at the post office to be honest. And also, she was alone and handling all the customers efficiently so shout-out to her, I know that's not easy. read more

Lobby and Post Office Box area are always pretty clean. I lease a po box and stop by a few mornings a week. Free priority mail boxes are usually out of the size you need which is unfortunate since these are generally the most economical options. I always enjoy using the APC (automated postal center) - however, many times after receiving my postage I find out that the drop box to accept the packages is full. Please increase or add another drop box to handle more customers. I doubt I was the first person that this has happened to. read more

This place is a joke. I had a package that was out for delivery 12/9/15 and never showed up. Then on 12/1015 the tracking number updated to say it just arrived at the post office and would be delivered 12/10/15 but again never showed up. I went to the post office to see what happened and was told it should of bern delivered and they cant find it, but will call me. Then all of a sudden at 5:30pm on 12/10/15 my package was magically scanned as delivered but nothing was in my mailbox. So either they lost it and are covering themselves or someone stole it. I will be filing a claim and avoid this place at all costs! Update: Again this place is pathetic! Notice was left on my door yesterday 5/12 that a signed for package was not delivered and would be available for pick up 5/13. Went in today 5/13 and was told the driver did not do his job and my package was sent out again which again will not be delivered because no one will be home. Update: Surprise they still suck! Carrier marked my package delivered on the USPS website and left a note in my mailbox saying it wouldn't fit? Yet the website which all of the employees go off of said it was delivered? I think this staff has had too many cut backs and are not able to provide as good as service as they once did. A package we needed for our event on Oct 31 didn't arrive on time. The tracking showed that it had been delivered on Monday, Oct 25, however our office is closed every Monday. Four calls to this branch to locate the package were unproductive. No one knew where it was. We were promised update calls regarding the search for the package but we never received them. Finally, Tuesday morning (after our event), the package was delivered without an explanation. It is noted on the package that they tried to deliver on Monday and that we were closed. However, no attempts were made the following five days to redeliver. I've tried to share this information on stamps.com so that perhaps the folks who make the decisions can know the problems happening, however their website's complaint email feature is not working. Until this branch has more staff, perhaps UPS or FedEx are a better solution if you really need something timely. read more

I needed to renew my passport and was happy to find a post office near work from whence to do just that. Not sure why they call this place the "Perkins" post office, but I guess every boring government branch deserves a cutesy moniker. The two times I've gone here, the line has moved pretty quickly. I actually almost made an impulse purchase on a first-day-of-issue of the DC Comics Superhero stamp series, but I couldn't find one for Superman. But here's the poop on passport renewal at this postal branch. Apparently you are supposed to make an appointment (which is why it took me two trips to give Uncle Sam my hard-earned dollar). During my so-called "appointment", I stood in line like always, then I told them "I have an appointment" (which, incidentally, was never looked up in the appointment book from the day before), and I was processed. A passport renewal is the same as first-time passport application (the orange form) if your previous passport was issued more than 15 years prior. It will also cost the same: $87! I had to expedite mine because I couldn't wait the 12 weeks for standard processing, so it was another $60. That's 157 smackeroos goin' to the Man. I suffered a little sticker shock because I thought I read everything through and was only going to be charged $127, but I missed a hidden fee. There was the Passport Processing Fee of $55, the Security Surcharge of $12, AND the Application Execution Fee of $30. Ah yes, the wily Application Execution Fee rears its ugly head. Lame! Just tell me how much it is without the invention of extra fees. Anyhow, who cares? I will now be fit for my cruise during the summer (which until only recently did NOT require a passport for the Caribbean). So now I'm kinda broke, but I might be back to this post office for the Plastic Man First-Day-of-Issue envelope (suitable for framing). Plaz was the shizzit! read more

Extremely rude employees. I am unable to wear a mask for medical reasons. I was scolded during the entirety of my transaction for not wearing a mask. I politely explained why I cannot wear one and the employee explained that she is at work and I am putting her at risk. Buy everyone is wearing masks and there is plastic sheeting between the employee and customer at all times. And speaking of my transaction, I was not spoken to during the entire visit. This is the worst post office on in the world. My mail is all over the place. I call to pick it up and they say it's there. I go get it and they say it's not. I get delivery confirmations but no package, I have to hunt them down and they show up a week later. WTF....im going to have to complain again and again. Other than that it's a post office and they mail stuff. It has a APC machine, USE IT. Or be a dumbass and wait in line and have your hand held, whatever works for ya. read more

This post office, as far as their mail delivery is concerned, is absolutely awful. I regularly get mail for my neighbors (one time literally an entire mail box of envelopes for them and nothing of mine at all), and my outgoing mail MIGHT get taken out of my mail box if I'm lucky and I leave a note on the front asking them to take it, so I can't even pay my bills without taking them to the post office myself since I never know if they'll take the mail or not. My incoming mail is constantly crushed or torn in my mailbox, and no care is taken to even make sure the mail box gets closed after the mail is put inside. When we moved in, they continued to deliver piles of mail for the previous owners, months after they'd had their mail forwarded to their new address. Though I've never been inside of this post office, I've heard terrible things about it and I'm very displeased that this is the closest post office to my house. read more

I guess three stars. I mean my mail is getting delivered. If they didn't deliver my mail, my rating will probably be 1 star. They have a "drive thru" drop off mail box that is convenient. One bad thing is that it's by a high school so around 3 PM the teenies are out and crossing the entrance to the post office so it's hard to enter. Unless you run them over. read more
