1/23/2025: DMV Clerk refused taking my DMV document at the Placerville DMV--she informed me I must SNAIL MAIL the DMV Document to DMV OFFICE, i.e., DMV CLERK wouldn't PHYSICALLY TAKE the DMV Document from me--so lame!!!! As a result of the DMV's Peter Principle, INEPT Rules/Regulations, I had no choice but, snail mail the DMV Document at the Rancho Cordova CA US Post Office location!!!! In addition, the Post Office Clerk informed me it's best registering the DMV Document letter just in case, the DMV fails returning the correspondence. Such instances Motorists sending DMV Documents: The Post Office Clerk has experienced too many customers being subjected to the DMV losing their DMV Documents!!!! Honestly worst US Mail post office I've ever experience. Poor customer service and phone calls are lik 99.9% ignored, never answering. It seems pointless to have them in our service area. Perhaps they should just have a complete staff clean up and hire people that want to work. If you don't like your job then quit it and leave the position open to someone that will take pride in what they're doing! So unprofessional. read more

Packages often delivered to the wrong address or not delivered. I received an email that my package was delivered in my mailbox, but it wasn't there! I went to the post office to speak with a manager, and they were unavailable... Left my information for them to call me back. They did not. I don't know where my package is... was it stolen or delivered to the wrong address? Few time I had packages for completely different addresses delivered to me. Couple of times people brought me my packages that were delivered to their address. This is unacceptable! I will try to use another career instead if possible. Also, trying to call them is useless! This place- massive lot for parking, and it's not like it's always crazy busy, but when it does get busy, you are waiting in a long line with one clerk, two at the most. I don't know many postal employees that actually enjoy what they do. I'm sure many are underpaid, they are understaffed, but be grateful you have a job! Smile, make the best of it, and your life. This job is all about customer interaction, if you don't like what you do- leave. Don't let others feel your negative energy. This post office is dry like the Sahara desert, as in personalities. The employees look like zombies ‍ and act like robots, lacking personality. At least try harder and pretend you enjoy what you do if you can't make the best of it! I come here to drop off my packages often, and I've never had any issues with this part, but I recently setup my PO Box and I can't tell you how frustrating it's been. Ever since I put the forward on my mail to the PO, it took about a month to receive mail. There were a number of issues that came up (lost mail, incorrect entries in their systems, not adding the right people on the PO, etc,.), and at least 6 different people telling me different things on what to expect. I personally don't know who to believe anymore, but all I know is that there needs to be better communication, documentation, and updated systems so they can integrate better between online and when you're in a branch. The information I had online was not the same in the branch. I've spoken to 2 supervisors about the issues and even though they have been helpful, they can only do so much. Just doesn't seem to be any accountability. I have not had to buy anything, so I can't talk about prices other than the fact they are probably all the same around all post offices. Do your research just to make sure. Side thought: I get it's the post office... but why don't they ever invest in them? They are completely outdated and it seems like there's never any improvements made to them. Anyways, I hope this helps! read more

To the lady with frizzy hair and glasses who lied to me. After receiving an email that my package was ready for pick up I was excited. This was my father 60th Birthday present. When I gave her the confirmation for the package this individual went searching in the back only to come out empty handed saying "It's here somewhere but we'll have to verify the package and it will be delivered to my address tomorrow". She claimed they were under paid so it'll go out tomorrow. That it's here somewhere but they'll have to look for it". I explained that my email says it's ready for pick up and that I'm here now to accept the package, considering it was special gift. Showing up to my father 60th empty handed was a bit embarrassing. The next day comes around and I read the same information based on the tracking that this item will not be delivered to my home address and that it has been ready for pick up since 7am the previous day. So I'm off to usps once again. This same lady is with another customer while I am the next in line. Conveniently, she announces that she will be going on break leaving me to wait for the next available associate. I'm happy she did so cause I wasn't very happy about her lying to me. And making up some excuse about being underpaid and verifying the item. The next associate who helps me looked the items up, brings the item out, verified the measurements in front of me and sent me on my way. I hope there is a good excuse for the lie and why I wasn't able to receive my package on the day it said it was ready. This is the reason why I use the self service kiosk as much as possible. If there is a zero star available, I would give this place a zero. Not sure if it is the staffs or the manager who making this rule that no other post office heard of. Apparently, they taking people package and claim to be their possession by changing in the system that the postage for the package was not pay. When package is not pay, they don't hold at the location anymore not even wait like before for the receiver to come and claims the package. They said the package with underpayment or no payment for the package will be sent out to be disposed. They have no right to destroyed people packages. They making their own rules or is this the whole company rules that no other post office are aware of this. Sender does have receipts for shipping the packages and the sender address had been registered over 10 years so how are they telling me the package can't be send back to sender because invalid mailing address. This place lie and stole people package and give some fake reason telling me that the package label was not pay and said this is a scam from sender by using fake label. This place is fake by stealing people packages and lie to customers. This is unacceptable and very disappointed. There is no truthful, and no respect for customers. Please be aware even with receipts of mailing the package, they were able to alter it in their system and never pick up the phone. Manager won't even come out to talk and telling to call the number instead which the line was unable to reach. read more

It's really a shame that you can't give a zero star review, or even a negative star review. This is hands down the worst post office I've ever come across. Whether it's their fault or some bureaucratic government nonsense, but since we've moved into our community, this post office has been nothing but problems. We are in a new build community in the Anatolia area and when we moved in the mailbox cluster hadn't even been installed yet. It took about two weeks for this to be installed (about 7 other homes had already closed at that point). It took another week or so until we could go into the post office and pick up our mailbox keys, at which point they told us the mail service would be starting. Fast forward three weeks and several of our neighbors, and ourselves, have yet to receive any mail; furthermore, none of our outgoing mail that we've put into the cluster boxes have been picked up. Upon going to the post office and inquiring why, after the community has had residents for four months now, the mail still hasn't started, the postmaster told us that the community would need to be SEVENTY PERCENT completed and occupied before mail service would begin. After talking with the construction foreman, the estimated date for that to happen is fall of 2024!! We have the same post office and mailmen servicing the neighborhood directly behind ours, but ours is going to have to wait for two years after they told us it would be starting a few weeks ago?! On top of that the clerk at the post office was extremely rude and when she asked for our address we barely got the number out of our mouths before she said cut us off, said the street name, and told us we'd have to wait... it's clear we aren't the first people in this neighborhood dealing with these bozos. My wife then mentioned that none of the outgoing mail that's been put in the cluster boxes has been picked up and the clerk told her that the post office COULDN'T HELP WITH THAT. Excuse me?! So now our outgoing mail is stuck and has been for a month without any explanation from the post office, they refuse to help, and they tell us they won't service our neighborhood for another two plus years even though they service one street over. Truly a horrible post office, horrible employees, horrible post master, and every single one star review of this place is completely and totally justified. If you try to call the number 8+ times, it will start automatically forwarding your calls [to somewhere] and then hang up immediately. Notice: I first called 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777), the agent then gave me the local phone number for the Rancho Cordova office. While the staff are pleasant, this site is understaffed. The phone number offered to us is not answered nor is there a way to leave a message. The phone number citizens are given to call is 916-574-3061. But it's a ploy. The number rings and rings; a recording comes on offering you the opportunity to leave a message and then the system hangs up on you. This is the experience I've had each time an attempt to get information from this office. The only resolution is to drive to the office, stand in line and get the 60 second response from the counter person. The local UPS store provides excellent service. It's no wonder they continue to get busier and busier and busier. Yet stamps or package mailings continue to rise. We the people are not getting the service we deserve. read more

They only have one job is to deliver mail! Well they do but to wring addresses ! They delivered 2 packages to completely different addresses ( manager at the store confirmed it and even told me the address where it was delivered as all packages are trucked), delivered my atm replacement card to someone else!, delivered check ( very significant amount) to someone else! Very frustrating! It seems to happen only with important mail, all the junk mail never gets miss delivered! If you wanna have a fun time, try to call the Rancho Cordova US post office at 916-5 74-3008. You will hear about 15 rings and then you'll be disconnected. I reported that my lock does not work on my mailbox. I was told it would be 3 to 4 weeks to replace it. Our outbox was ripped open and post office sealed it off. I asked how we can get it reinstated. They gave me a phone number of 877-8 76-2455 which connected me to the US postal inspector, phone tree, which has a multitude of choices, but none for my issue. When I went to the Rancho Cordova post office, the young man, that serviced me was very professional and understanding. The USPS system is so complex. I don't believe they can ever provide world-class customer service. Frustrated customer. read more

This location needs to get it together! I swear! I've had a few packages saying available for pick up but when I arrive to pick up my package, they can't locate it! They take my information down and say I will receive a call regarding my package but I never do! Then the package appears at my house a day or 2 later. The tracking system needs to say it will be out for delivery instead of available for pick up! This is the worst postal service I have ever had in my life. I have lived in Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles, all over the Bay Area, and Sacramento. The Rancho Cordova mail carriers that service my neighborhood are the worst. My mail and my neighbor's mail is routinely mid-delivered ALL THE TIME. We have complained and the nothing improves. I plan on complaining to the Post Master. But not sure if there's anyone working at this branch who knows how to deliver mail or even solve this problem. read more

Our local service in Rancho is the pits--stolen mail, mail routinely delivered to the wrong address. I contacted USPS and they sent a generic email apologizing--said to contact police. I contacted police--they said to contact USPS. I'd write a letter to both agencies although I'm afraid the letter won't get there! read more

The mailmen that service Americanos Blvd neighborhood in between Douglas and Grantline have been consistently stealing our packages, claiming them to be delivered, then say that our mailbox was "broken into" repeatedly/weekly? No, I've been watching there is no one breaking in to the mailbox, also this is now our 4th package in a month that says was "delivered to the parcel locker", confronted the mailman about it and they said "yeah it gets broken into regularly but there's no file about it". Except it doesn't add up because the packages that were supposed to be delivered to the parcel lockers, we have never been given a key to open a locker in our mailbox... so they're claiming to deliver the packages in the parcel locker, not put the parcel key in our mailbox, then claim that the mailbox was broken into and everything was stolen... every week? No, this is absolutely absurd. These curriers need to be investigated and fired. read more

I'll take your low rating and raise you a star or two! I've been here twice in one week, during lunch. Yes, I did that. TWICE! But, the staff made it a sincere point to be polite and helpful. Not to mention, the Boss/Manager walks around asking if he can assist with anything while you wait or direct you to the Self Service Kiosk (SSK as he called it) to get you out of there quicker. They also don't mind recommending a person who is causing the line to back-up, efficient ways to come prepared to the post office in nice and subtle ways. Kind suggestion, do your homework on their website to see what is really essential to go up to a counter for. Or else, use the fancy kiosk to get stuff done. or use the quick drive-up mail boxes to drop your stuff off. There are ways to be efficient, you just have to educate yourself. But if you must find yourself needed services, this hidden post office is the one to go too. I go here for conveniene on my lunch break, but I'll gladly do it form here on out! Horrible Service it's been 3 separate occasions that I have not received mail. I get the daily notifications of what mail I will be receiving and 3 times they have marked my delivery as delivered. But I did not received them. I think the mailman is not paying attention to the actual addresses. I've posted in my neighborhood if anyone accidentally received my mail with no luck in replies. Some of the items are collectible cards that my kids are collecting and it's become frustrating. I've submitted a notice that I didn't receive my mail. But they really don't follow up or anything. No one ever answers the phone and when you go in person no one is helpful. read more

I go here often to ship my products from Ebay. They are well staffed and the lines are not as long compared to Folsom and it goes by pretty quickly. I had to ship 10 items one item and took me 10 minutes to complete the transaction. They do open early at 8:30am as well. They have an automated postal machine as well which is nice if the lines get long. Prices of shipping have gone up however with USPS with flat rate shipping and first class with tracking. read more

12/1 Went into the PO today to mail a Xmas pkg. They were absolutely swamped. Every station was manned. I had 5 folks ahead of me, and I was called up within 6 minutes. As a reseller - I tend to use post office most of the time. This post office always goes above and beyond every time I visit them. There is usually a line if you need to see the clerk- but it goes by super fast usually less than 10 mins. The manager is always there to assist you- for example if you need a receipt for packages you are sending off - he will scan all our items and send you on your way, and you avoid the line ‍ My favorite clerk is Amir! He is always funny and I swear he is there every day- please give this guy a vacation and a raise! He is personable and always knows what I need. The post office provides labels and boxes for priority mail at no charge ! read more

I absolutely do not recommend this location. I sent out a package, and by the time it got to the receiver, it was damaged. Like when I tell you it looked like someone intetionally damaged it.
