The Mail House is great! I come here whenever I need a notary, something needs to be faced, I've bought stamps and mailed things. They even let me bring my pups with me and are super sweet with them. I went to this olde-towne shop because the owner offered to mail something for me and sign her name on a legal document saying she did. I offered her more money than she asked for as I didn't really need much, just her help. She kindly refused. It's not often you find a genuinely kind and compassionate person who gives without taking. If I lived in the area, I would definitely go back. Service has deteriorated. Hours are changed a lot probably due to COVID but they should match what is posted on Google Maps. I am sure I am not the only one who relies on that information. Google says 9:00 am, I showed up but sign says 10:00 am. Called twice after 10:00, let ring until system hung up. No answer. Are they there? Redeemed themselves by calling me when my package arrived. Awesome Customer service! I've been with the Mail House for two years and it's way better than going to the post office. Lots of parking and fast service. I had a box at Carmichael PO and there was always some kind of drama when I went to pick up my mail. Had to stop by here because UPS would not bring me my package, thankfully its pretty close by so it was not that hard to just go and pick up my package. The staff is very nice and friendly I was in and out with in minutes. read more

Very rude and not very helpfull Eating while talking to you Didn't tell you how the package was mailed

The only reason I keep going back to this place is because its close to my house. I shipped a pair of skis to my son via Fed Ex thru these guys once & they charged me what the Fed Ex site said it would cost. Next time I went there to ship skis to my son they charged me some huge additional fee for it being an odd shaped package. I tried arguing with the guy about it, but he insisted & my son needed the skis right away. Now I find out that my husband shipped a Christmas present to my son the other day, handed the guy the address to ship it to, but the idiot behind the counter shipped it to the address he already had in his computer instead of the address he was told to ship it too!! Urghh!! Definitely not using them any more!!! I don't care how close those idiots are!!!! read more

I seriously love this place! I never even set foot into a post office anymore. (Thankfully) The staff is super friendly and family owned and operated. The prices are cheap and there's never a big line. They have it all and its conveniently close to my home in Fair Oaks. I have had a mail box at The Mail House for nearly 12 years and have used it's service on many occasions. Never a problem. The original owner, Mike, was an awesome guy and unfortunately passed away a few years ago. The new owners, Danny and Allie, are very nice. This place sucks! Packages take forever to get to there destination! Will be using the post office from now on, since it goes there anyway!

Do not use this store for shipping. unless it is paper. I was sent dishes.Some were broken or chipped. No bubble wrap around the dishes properly and two dishes and bowls put together with no protection between each. Porcelian dolls were also sent. Bubble wrap was loosely thrown in around 2-3 4 dolls at once and of course their faces broke. These people do not know how to wrap. It was horribly done and with no care AT ALL. read more

The Mail House has been open for 33 years and I've heard nothing but good things. However I know that unfortunate circumstances forced an owner change and the business did start to suffer. As of march 13th 2013 I am the current owner and I have great experience in customer service and business. This store will be brought back to great things for the community.
