I want to draw your attention to a representative named Riley; but first I want to indicate that I work for a company that does normal shipping business with MTAMailbox. Riley went out of her way to reach out to us in an attempt to circumnavigate an issue with assisting a customer using our applications. Her efforts, time attention and candor ultimatley resulted in a "massively-positive" outcome for her customer. I like that, and frankly....she deserves a raise. Riley is really killin' it out there! This place is a hidden gem! I had several items to send, and David didn't bat an eye.....he was friendly, efficient, and obviously conscientious and efficient! After I sent everything , I got home and realized I had sent an empty box! ‍‍ So I had to go back, and Pete helped to open the box back up, with no judgement of my dumb mistake. While I was there a lady whose name I didn't get, who came out of the back and helped me to laugh at myself. The manager must have excellent judgment cuz these 3 people made me want to come back any time I have anything to ship. I would never recommend anyone ever doing business with this particular business. I was looking for a particular box size to return a product I purchased via FedEx to the company that I purchased it from. I called the stores that sold boxes in Folsom and El Dorado Hills to see who had a box that matched. When I called "More than a mailbox", the person said that they could cut a cube box down to match the three dimensions for the box I was looking for. I was really skeptical that would work but that person assured me that they had a tool to do it. When I got in my car for the 20 minute drive to their store, I was still skeptical and was waiting to see how they would actually cut a box down on multiple dimensions and then make it good enough for shipping. And if they could do that, what would the box look like. For example, would it be covered in tape to reseal each dimension of the box (height, width, length). When I got there, I explained to the person at the desk what I was told on the phone. He then went into the backroom to talk to the woman I talked to on the phone. He comes out and says that they can only cut it down on the height dimension which made absolutely no sense for what I was looking for because the height dimension was already largely good enough. It was the width and length dimensions that I needed to better match what I was looking for. The woman who gave me the wrong answers on the phone then comes out of the back room and walks to the front door and begins to open it for me to leave. Just how that was done looked like that was their way of dealing with the people they screw (disrespect) who don't buy whatever that store is selling that was not what they were looking for. I wasted about an hour because of how the owners of this store behave and treat others. I had taken a few hours off from work to get this done and I did not have an hour to just waste due to businesses that behave this way. Avoid this business. Go to a Postal Annex or UPS Store. I did eventually find a good matching box at the Postal Annex in El Dorado Hills (on Bass Lake Road). read more

Great place for any type of mail service. I go here all the time for any mailing or shopping needs. I buy my stamps here as well. The staff is so friendly and nice. Love the look inside, very cozy. I love that they give advice on best ways to ship depending on when you want something delivered and give you info to track your package. Very convenient spot to get things done! Honestly I am so done with this company. First time my wife came here to pickup her package shipped to her nickname... no issues at all. They were nice and let me add my name to my po box as well. However, she had a second package come in and that's where all of the issues began. They claimed that they didn't have her notarized form on file even though they had it before. So she sent it to them. Of course, the form contained both her legal name and nickname and they refused to honor it saying that it was invalid and didn't have her nickname on there!? After that, they threatened to ship out package BACK TO SENDER the next day. She provided them proof of everything and tried to reason with them even saying that she picked up a package from here before.... and nothing. They wouldn't believe anything - not even a notorized form which they had before I even signed up. We canceled service and weeks later she contacted them again asking them about that same package and they claimed that they STILL HAD IT and were willing to forward it to us for a fee. What a joke and honestly a scam. They first REFUSED to let us pickup the package and threatened to send it back to sender (while we had service) and then weeks later we find out that they kept the package and were willing to forward it to any random address for a fee. If this isn't a scam, I don't know what is. Would give it 0 stars if I could, but they can have 1 star for that first time at least. The service was contracted with Anytime Mailbox which is how we signed up. They are the ones that made us go thru this hassle. read more

Have used this company before and have had positive experiences. This past weekend was horrible. I had come for a shipping estimate for a package to New York two weeks prior. I ended up sending the package to Montana and that actual cost was higher so what good did the estimate do me. Also the lady who tried to help me had no clue how to send a package. At one point gave up trying to figure out the computer and walked away from me without a word. Wow. I will be taking my business elsewhere read more

I'd like to add that the attached screenshot was shown to the clerk at your store and no rolling fee was offered to be waived but thanks for reaching out. I'm clearly still upset about it years later - I forgot to mention I drove out of my way with a newborn and was still treated like garbage - I just had my fingerprints done again for CTC by another facility (the second one since this incident) and I brought the situation up and they confirmed that the social didn't need to be in two places, and I was cleared quickly. I highly appreciate this business, not because they are a small business doing great work within the community but because they followed up on a misunderstanding I had & a frusration I experienced as we were starting our own business. I'm all about places responding well & these guys did! Plus, it's the coolest little shop that mirrors Cracker Barrel's trinkets! It could have been a bad day but on a Saturday in the fall my wife went in to set up a mailbox for our new business. She waited over a half hour with no progress; she left and they expressed their sorry, but twas a bummer to have spent that much time without anything to show for it. I went there and hour later and was helped one-on-one. It took over an hour to set everything up and things were explained well with confidence all would work well with the county when I set up our address there. Dave was very up front with me about the business license versus the FBN, but the problem was that I could not use More Than A Mailbox for our FBN per Sac County (I called to talk with two different people about this). After signing contracts and asking for a refund based on what I was told by MTAM then the county, I was given no refund on the digital mailbox or physical one. I dropped the key off and left having wasted over $100 or so disappointingly. I wrote a Yelp review to post but gave them a few days to respond before posting it (this is not that review!!!). They refunded and apologized almost immediately and for that I'm grateful. read more

This place is the worst. I generally appreciate M&P mailbox places, but this one is a nosey can dosey (i.e. no can do). I went in to ship my defective Power Balance bracelet back to P/B Headquarters in Lake Forest, CA. I already had it in the envelope and ready to go. I said "one letter for certified mail please." Then grandma asked if I wanted return receipt requested - I said no. But the curmudgeon wouldn't take no for an answer. I said all I want is the tracking number and I will track it on the internet. She said "oh yeah well that's only if the post office scans it." I said "well don't they usually scan it." She said "ohhh no." I am an attorney lady. I send mail certified on a bi-daily basis. I have probably sent 1000 letters/notices certified mail in the last year with a 99.9% successful scan rate. They don't always get delivered but they get scanned. I know that times are tough for M&P mailbox places. My favorite joint over on E. Bidwell next to the Jack's is out of business. The one near my house on Folsom-Auburn is no longer. But, come-on don't lie to me just to make a couple extra bucks for the return receipt. I will not go back. The UPS store or Fed/Ex Kinko's is closer to me anyway.
