Went there a couple days ago after having some issues with UPS in the Roseville area you'd think that a Folsom location wouldn't be able to do anything to help me all the way out in Roseville, but Penelope pulled some strings and made sure that my package arrived as it was supposed to rather than being returned to sender. In an era where work ethic and going the extra mile seem to have disappeared. It was really refreshing to have someone go the extra mile for me. Update: The owner of this UPS store personally called me after I posted reviews and filed a complaint with UPS. She was AWESOME. She was very helpful, empathetic, and went the extra mile to help locate my package. She filed a tracer and UPS found my package and got it eventually to its destination, given many days late. For that, I have updated my review to a 4. Committed owner, hopefully that commitment can permeate to the store's managers and staff. I have other UPS stores that are closer to my house, however, once I experience rude customer service I won't go back. The UPS store on Folsom Auburn is the best! Outstanding customer service, they are so helpful and polite and knowledgeable. I love chatting while they get my package ready to send out. Even my little dog Lulu loves to go in with me. The staff take time to check pricing for the carriers so I can get the best deal when sending packages . Parking isn't the best but I don't care because it's worth it for the service they provide. A few days ago I needed to mail a letter with certified mail. I had gone to the UPS in Rancho Cordova first (Olson Dr) and I had another encounter with a very young girl who had so much attitude and off-putting body language I literally walked out in tears (I am not a "walk out" type of person but I have never encountered someone like her). There appears to have been miscommunication between the UPS driver and the scheduled pick-up time for an over-night mailing that was a crucial timely delivery. I was able to pop in unannounced on a Saturday and get my documents notarized right away for a reasonable price. Back on May 11 morning hours, I went to this location with my special needs son and the manager was extraordinarily professional and did a fabulous job taking his passport picture and helping with the mailing process. I visited many different branches prior to this one and selected this location because they were able to meet my expectations. I set-up the appointment the day before and the manager was 100% ready upon our arrival. I can't thank him enough. Rude associates. I'll go to another UPS location from now on. I had an online friend send me something thru UPS, we were doing a trade so I had sent her something before. Mistakenly my friend thought the UPs store address was my home address (not a big deal and not the associates fault). I had called to ask if the package will be sent back to the store it came from or if it will be able to be picked up from this store if I show my ID. Because technically it didn't have MY address on it. The next day, My boyfriend told me to call to ask if they could even find tracking numbers for the package. I called, explained Situation to another associate that I didn't talk to the day before. She suggests she goes and asks if it showed up just in case. She leaves the phone on so I can hear everything and she asks another associate and the other associate says "I told her that I would fucking call her when it gets here, no it's not here why the fuck is she calling" I literally stopped and gasped. I apologized on the phone because I felt bad, but did that associate really need to 1. Swear and 2. Act like that?! I explained I just wanted to see if there was a tracking number and apologized for wasting their time. That interaction really made me feel horrible. I was respectful I wasn't rude, It was my 2nd time calling the store, I don't know why I was Met with Aggression. They called me like not even 30 minutes later to tell me it was in the store and ready to pick up. I went in after work and I apologized to them because I know they are busy and I really wasn't trying to bother them over the phone. I payed the fee to pick up the item ($5, no big deal). Made an order for 240 black and white copies at 930AM. I checked in with the store clerk 3 times checking on the order throughout the morning, for an important 130PM pickup and 2PM presentation. When I arrived at 130P, only half the copies were completed. They looked awful, crooked, poor print quality, faded, and extra ink marks not shown on the original document. Both printers went down, they ran out of paper and were not even able to complete to job!!! I left 14 copies short and the copies I left with were awful, unacceptable quality. All in all, our presentation was ruined. Our job was not complete. And the service provided was awful. There was several occasions where the manager could have let me know she was not going to be able to complete the job and she didn't. Now its too late for me to get them printed somewhere else. Horrible customer service and what the worst part was, she WAS the Manager. Super incompetent, I feel sorry for this location. DONT GO HERE...EVER. read more

I had a return with the shipping already paid. According to the worker (without a mask on) said it would be $1 to seal my box with a strip of tape. Whaaaaa? Really. She said tape is expensive. The tape on the shelf was under ten bucks. Tell me I'm going to use a tenth of a roll of tape. We left without shipping g my box because the worker was so combative about the tape issue when I asked for clarification as I've never been charged to close a box. No customer service. The girls who work here could not be sweeter, more helpful, or more patient. They seem so familiar with their customers and each person who came in seemed to be equally as glad to see the staff as they was to help them. I went there to ship some books and they helped me reprint the same thing over and over until it was done properly. I've been in here a few times now. I've never had a problem and have always had quick, courteous service. I was in there on a Saturday about 5 minutes before close. A lady walked in a few minutes after me and the guy saw her looking around and waiting. When he was done serving me, probably a little after closing time, the lady approached the counter and he told her that they were closed and she'd have to come back. I went to this location twice before the holidays and both times had a great experience. The first time we boxed up something using a US mail box that had special marking for urgent delivery. We didn't even notice it when we picked up the box. The man who helped us asked us specifically if we wanted it to go "urgent" and gave us the price. WHOOPS! Cost was 3 times the price of the item. He saved us a lot of money pointing that out. The second time I ran in after work. I had checked in advance the time that UPS was doing their pick up for the day and raced to get there. When I did, the UPS truck was already there (even though I was early). The woman in line ahead of me finished up her transaction and the man at the counter asked if I could wait. I told him I could as long as I could get the package out that night. He saw I already had the item boxed and asked if I had shipped there before. I had (see above) and in less than 2 minutes, I had the box taped, labeled, shipping paid, and was out the door. Both packages arrived in great condition, and on time. It does make me sad when you see people get frustrated with the employees in the store such as this UPS store for their own mistakes and feel the need to take it out on other persons. I took a box of papers to be shredded on Saturday. 23 lbs (I think that included my box that I don't shred). I was charged $10.92. I think the clerk may have scanned a coupon she had. Good price, I thought. I went back today (two days later) with 15 lbs to shred. The clerk said it would $15 and change. I asked why was it cheaper two days earlier. Clerk - did you have a coupon? Me - no. Clerk - the clerk on Saturday must have given you a discount. Let me see. Oh, do you have AAA? Me - yes. Clerk - ok, it will be $12.92. Me - frustrated. Ok. Clerk - digs in papers next to register, finds 50% coupon, attaches it to my receipt and hands it to me. Guess what - I won't be using it. I'll go back to Red Dog ($9 for a file box regardless of weight). I guess it would be asking too much to use that coupon on THIS transaction. read more

This UPS Store price gouges the customer something terrible. The quoted price for my shipment online was $60, I was charged $101. In addition, $10 for a box, and $10 to put it in the box. Total cost, with tax $125 !!! I am never going back... I feel guilty for taking the customer service of this shop for granted and not writing a positive review. Up until a few weeks ago, several times a week, I would drop of UPS packages at this location to be scanned and get a receipt, Yes, it was a simple transaction but the employee who always helped me was professional, friendly, and quick. I noticed she seemed to be training someone, then she was gone. If I do not say anything, the new employee can go through my entire transaction and not say one word, not even thank you. I know it was not for her training otherwise, he would be a duplicate of her. He is not. Some days he doesn't even care to iron his UPS shirt. Sad. We will continue to use this store as it is closest to my work and our transactions are simple. I would not want to use them for a complicated transaction.
