The worst experience ever. Went to pick up my package and was greeted by very unfriendly employee. Their systems were down and looked like the employee was not happy to be there. When you work in customer service, please know that people skills and smiles are not rocket science. Since the systems were down, she has asked me to come back later. I came back on two different occasions and nothing. Waited two days and went back, this time, their systems did work but they could not locate my package. AWFUL! I don't enjoy giving bad reviews but this post office has lost 3 packages of mine over the last 2 years. Most recently a mail worker said he delivered a package to my door (which was over $50 worth of items I had been waiting 2 months for) despite the fact I have video footage from my security camera showing he did no such thing. I filed for an investigation and the Representative assigned to me was not helpful. I tried explaining my situation and her elevated response was "So you're accusing the Postal worker of stealing your mail?" Considering I'm a survivor of trauma this was very triggering to me and I spent the following days after this interaction with her just trying to recover and not let myself continue to be triggered. Super unfortunate that their employees cannot have a civil conversation without making statements and accusations like that, because it has very real world consequences for others. My package got redirected to this post office after my box at my place was full, but no one left me a notice and then when I came in the guy working told me it wasn't there (apparently he was looking in the wrong place). He took down my info and said he would call me when they located it and then never did. I call incessantly for the next two days with no answer, and I would have gone down there to talk to someone except my work hours would not allow this. I rushed over on Saturday the 26th after I got off work to try and catch them before they closed and I arrived 5 minutes late and the doors were already locked. I knocked on the door pleading for them to just let me grab my package and Zack thankfully let me in and found it for me! It was such an amazing act of kindness and he saved my Halloween as my package was my costume. Thank you Zack you're the real MVP! read more

Brooke was Amazing! Superior customer service, friendliness, efficiency. What every employee at any business should strive for. I let her know I was impressed by her going above and beyond to treat customers well and offer them excellent service. She made a point to give people options and ask them what works best. Brooke was upbeat, caring and showed concern for every customer. I waited while looking at cards and heard her interactions with many customers and each was the best customer service I have seen in a long time, and especially at a USPS office. There are other employees that are friendly (taller gentleman is always pleasant), but she is going out of her way to make each customer's day better. THANK YOU!!! read more

Oh how easy it would be to diss the USPS. What with all the "gone postal" stories we've heard. But I have to say, not only are the little uniforms hot....I mean really... those cute little black socks many of them wear....HELLO!!! I"ve learned many things at this particular location. Agnes' husband Leanord cannot stand in line with her because he has horrible arthritis in his knees. So he sits while she stands. Lovely. Agnes has bad breath. Sorry. She just did. Fancy lady enters, while dozens of us are waiting in line, thinking of starting a game of Twister, when Fancy lady buds in front of everybody "cuz she's in a hurry". Really. Cuz we all got nothing else to do Missy. And one nice man used to collect stamps "the old fashioned kind", until "they came out with the kind you can't lick!"...yes...he said that! But. These folks know when to add clerks and everyone is very helpful and friendly. Perhaps they are eating healthy food and drinking Naked Juice from Fresh n Easy next door. Licking or no licking. This location is purrrrfect for me. And even though I appreciate being asked if I want the special Star Wars stamps, I say HELL NO...I'm waiting for the Hello Kitty collection. Hello???!!!? I absolutely hate going to the post office! The only reason I went is because I checked my mail the other day and had a vacant slip in mail. I tend to check mail every 2 weeks since all my bills are electronic. First off the post office that delivers my mail is all the way on Osborn which is kinda far from me since there is 2 post offices closer. Any who I got there at 4:20pm and waited in pick up line that was just as long as clerk line which was out he door. It was so unorganized I had a mini anxiety attack. They closed at 4:30 instead of locking the door they just waited until ppl got in line to tell them they are closed or use self service. Anyway I waited 30 minutes for him to tell me they couldn't find my mail. He then went back to check again. And waited another 15 minutes for another employee told me to leave me # so they can ask the driver. To much of a hassle for junk mail but whatever it was a waste of time. This is usually referred to as the "Osborn Station". It's not a nice place to visit. The staff there are rude and condescending and have been for years. They clearly have a resentful and entitled attitude. For years there were periods where mail would be misdirected but this seems to have improved. However, it did motivate me to go paperless for important mail. read more

There are many instances that have forged my opinion of this location, but this is the last straw. This is ridiculous. Checked my mailbox the evening of December 1, 2014 at 8:00pm. I retrieved my letters and the package box key, indicating that I received a delivery too large to fit in my box. When attempting to retrieve the package, the key would not work and the lock would not open. I thought possible because of the colder weather the lock was stuck, so I even sprayed lubricant on the key and lock to attempt to coax the lock to open. I called the 1-800-ASK-USPS and confirmed their offices were already closed, so I made a point of contacting them the following morning at 8:30am (December 2, 2014). I spoke with a representative and received the local phone number for this location (Phone 602-235-9189 and Fax 602-235-9319) and instructed to contact them regarding the issue with the key not working to the large package boxes at my condo. When calling the phone number they provided the line just rings and rings. When someone does finally answer, they sit on the phone or just hang it right back up, as if I can't hear them. I am not deaf, I am not calling on a TTY line. I tell them I can hear them when they do pick up but still no response. One of the instances they just took it off the hook and sat the phone down. I am not use to such horrible service from government employees. Despite what I have heard of others experiences, this is a new one for me. All I need to do is notify my carrier that the box keys don't work, but instead of just being able to relay that message, I am met with dead air on a phone line. I can't even retrieve my packages from the box and with their now shortened hours, it makes it almost impossible to reach them before they close. I am a working, taxpaying American. I work 7am to 4pm and with my job being more than 20 minutes from the office, how likely am I to get service from their counter clerks? Doubtful Why is this so hard and why don't you subscribe to QUALITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE? This is RIDICULOUS, CALAMITOUS AND SAD!!! read more

The only reason why this place sucks is when the workers and complain about the weight of packages and go slow AF just because they are pissed at the world. Stop it. The only man that does work is the manager and the only lady that works. There's another girl that doesn't do squat but stand behind coworkers like a dud. the post office at 7th avenue is the worst: long lines, few employees attending and taking their times in spite of long lines, they urging clients to write good reports about themselves when services are bad, as missing correspondence, mixed letter which are very personal as my social security, bank statements, heath insurance, I complained in person 2 times and I know they in revenge get rid of my 2 beautiful Christmas cards given in the hands of one of the employees at that place. This is the worst post office! I run a small business online and only ship through this location when I am picking up mail from my moms PO Box, yet every single order I have shipped through here has been lost. When I first started the business, I was new to shipping and handling and went to drop off a package, and was chased down by an employee who told me they wouldn't ship it, she stated that it was too big. The item was not heavy, and according to USPS shipping requirements online, the box it was in was within regulation. I had to drag my baby inside, forcing him to wear a mask, only to have the door closed in my face, stating that they were now closed... at 1pm... on a Saturday and was also told again that I couldn't ship it, without even knowing that I was headed in so that i could pay the correct postage on it. I walked away and half way to my car, the same postal woman who ran me down, yelled that I COULD come in. When I went to pay the postage, the man at the counter asked if I wanted to pay a whole new postage in full, or if I wanted to ship it and have them charge the extra postage to the customer who had originally paid for it... wondering why that wasn't just done in the first place, and being hounded and watched by the woman who "graciously" allowed me in, I went ahead and paid for the whole new postage.. guess what? THEY "LOST" IT. The package didn't arrive for 3 months! Now a few months later, I head over there to pay my moms PO Box fee, and decided to drop off the packages I have instead of going to 2 separate post offices, I drop them off, pay her fee, IN THAT ORDER and I get home, and the shipping updates on all of those packages say delivered, I know that's impossible because they all live in separate states, I look up the exact tracking info and it says that the items were delivered to a PO Box.... my moms PO Box. My packages are pre made and have a whole different return address, definitely not her PO Box, not even the same zip code, she is elderly and cannot carry my packages.. and it's HERS not mine, HER name is on it, NOT MINE. While I was in line waiting to pay her box in the first place, another couple on front of me was stating that they're being delivered mail that isn't theirs and doesn't have their PO Box on it either. This place is the worst, they have the worst, most incompetent staff, with the worst attitudes, and obviously some people... people who run people down, and them force them to run back and forth trying to get packages delivered, are complete narcissists, then what I can only assume is look at camera footage of my delivering packages before heading in line to pay for someone else's PO Box and then delivering packages to said box.. read more

It would be convenient if the window says "pick up" so you just end up waiting in line just to be told to go to the end until they find someone to get a package and wait even longer. This post office is the worst. I had to ship a box to Guam. Waited in line for 30 min. And they didn't know how to ship to Guam. Every other post office in Arizona had no problem. They don't know how to do there job. They told me to go to another post office. Never had problem being in Arizona for 15 years shipping to Guam until this place. If you need to ship any other place besides strictly US don't go to them. They don't know how to do it. You will have to drive to another shopping place ! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Had three experiences picking up a package and they were all the same. Walk in, no "how can I help you" greeting. Just a blank dumb stare from the person on the other end of the counter. The second time I walked in I didn't have a ticket available. As I walk forward after the gentleman in front of me leaves, the cow behind the counter says "let me guess, no ticket." That was my five star customer service greeting. It's the post office! This location has a nice little kiosk where one can print / ship all with an automated device. That saves a lot of time! The lines are often long, but prices are way cheaper here than going to the UPS Store. They have tons of shipping materials. The employees are usually friendly but sometimes slow mo. read more

The mail carrier refuses to use a parcel room at my apartment complex, she stated it is "not her job" to use it. This means when a parcel (package) does not fit in the mail box, she will take it to the Osborn facility and make you come wait in line and pick it up. The room is around a corner from the mail room, yet not her job. It is disappointing in customer service. I hope Amazon stops using them for delivery, FedEx and UPS have no issues using a Parcel room. read more

The only reason I give two stars is because of the convenient location and the ample parking. Sure, once in a blue moon you run into a postal worker who is friendly and service-minded, but unfortunately the opposite seems to be the norm. There is simply no incentive (carrot or whip) to be effective and satisfy your customers. This is the post office I got to because it's literally right behind my place. I would say 2 times out of 10 I'm out of there in under 10 minutes. Every other time expect to be there for half an hour. Most of the staff is VERY RUDE and just mean. Customer service is NOT high on their priority list. If you have questions you'll for sure feel stupid after asking them. If you're there to pick up a package because you got that pink slip in your mail box be sure to stand in the "right line" because if you stand in the wrong they will for sure let you know and not in a nice manner more of a you're stupid for being in the wrong line. There is no sign or mark for a designated spot or line to pick up your packages. The line or area they use for picking up packages, I've stood there many times to get packages and it isn't not fast service but sometimes they're busy- benefit of the doubt. Once I stood in the line for package pick up I get to the front and the post office worker said to me "who are you?" So rude I showed her the pink slip and she said "this ain't that line it's over there" just so rude. Overall I hate this post office. read more

For a post office, this location is pretty good. I've been a few times and even when there's a line, the wait isn't too bad. Getting there early helps, of course, but the staff seems a little more interested than other locations in keeping things moving at a decent pace. I wish they had one of those stamp vending machines to help save time, but I don't mind going to Safeway or Walmart if I only need a sheet of stamps. read more

Wow. There really are no words for how bad this post office is. It is the closest one to our house and my wife told me how bad it was when she lived here. I scoffed as I have been to some pretty decrepit post offices in the south but after the experience we just had, this one takes the cake. We wanted a PO box. Simple enough, right? Not here. At first, the guy said no PO boxes. Then he said he would try and "make something happen, just wait 20 mins". At 20 mins, he said he was going to move some boxes around and make something happen. Other people were waiting in front of us and they laughed. They said they had been waiting TWO WEEKS for a PO box. At an hour and a half of waiting, we asked what was up and he told us that he could call us but it would not be done by the time they close so come back another day. As we were only in town until the end of the weekend, we said that would not work. So, an hour and a half of our life gone, no PO Box, and we declined to wait around anymore. My wife said it was even worse when they did not have the self-service machine for stamps and such. Pass on it. Please! read more

The front counter workers are the best! 14 years ago I dreaded ever going there as the wait was far too long and the workers were RUDE. Now the wait at "peak" times (lunch, late afternoon) can be a bit long, but they try to move things along quickly by having a separate line for non-cash interactions. read more

If I could give -O stars I would. I hv had a POB at USPS 3905 N. 7th Ave. Phx., AZ. 85013, Indian School & 7th Ave., since 1974, 602-235-9189 / 1-800- 275-8777. In the past I have high dollar packages STOLEN. I chose to have a POB thinking it was safer than a physical address. I pay to hv a POB and YES, I obviously pay to hv my mail / packages stolen. Boy, do I look stupid. I hv had to contact Phoenix PD 602-262-6151, AZ Consumers Affairs @ 602-683-4276 and BBB of AZ. and file a report / claim each time a item goes missing / is stolen. This has NOTHING to do with the pandemic, it just gives theives the opportunity to steal. Items went missing WAY before the pandemic started. Poor supervision and lack of morals, supports this location in the theft. Stay clear of this USPS location if at all possible. Otherwise, you take your chances. Do not delay in filing a claim / report when items are missing / stolen. I have added the contact info on who to file a claim with. USPS will make many attempts to have you give up on filing a claim by wearing you down. Do not let them. Continue to follow up so that USPS knows they cannot get away with stealing from us. read more

I've figured out why it is that the USPS is going broke. It has nothing to do with "congress being unfair and making them pay into pensions" but instead its because their service just plain sucks! Middle of a Tuesday. Shouldn't be crowded, right? Nope, line out the door. How many USPS employees were working? Two. For 30 customers. Finally get to the front of the line. Mind you I was shipping a bike box, but it couldn't have been more than 35lbs. "Oh, that's too heavy for me, you're going to have to wait" goes the little Asian USPS lady. It's 35LBS, HOW DID YOU GET A JOB THAT REQUIRES LIFTING IF YOU CAN'T LIFT 35LBS?!?! Stood and waited at another counter for 25 more minutes til the one guy who works there could get to me. All and all it took me over an hour to do what should have been done in 15 minutes. UPS and FEDEX might cost more, but time is money these days. I don't have an hour here and an hour there to give the USPS. When they come on TV and complain that they're going broke because of laws hoisted on them by Congress, think about the real reason they're going under. In general, when it comes to our level of expectations for a trip to the post office, I think they are usually set pretty low. However, the counter staff here is very professional, and keep things moving. Sometimes they have an employee running triage in the lobby to help you before you get to the counter. This really helps move things along, and I wish all post offices would do this more. Everyone here is friendly and has great customer service skills. Thanks for your help! read more

Beyond worse customer service ever experience! Instead of customer service and assisting a struggling customer. Although were concerned about was following protocols and not helping the customer feel welcomed nor assisting the customerwhen the customer was clearly struggling. The manager and the assistanttalk down on the customer verbally attacking the customer . Basically making the customer feel like they were doing them a favor. for the past 3 days, i've been to hell and back with the phoenix post office branch on 7th ave. near osborn rd. each of the 3 days, i hung on the phone. on the 3rd day, today, 6/17/20, i finally get through. the post office employee, named xavier, was very rude and "gave me attitude. my package was sent usps priority mail from utah on 6/4/20. the package was sent to my old address, near this post office, instead of to the downtown post office branch. the 7h ave. & osborn rd. post office should have sent my package back to utah priority mail, but didn't! it was their mistake! instead of apologizing, xavier "copped an attitude!" this is why i am posting my review. maybe, if xavier's supervisor/manager reads my review, he would be reprimanded or terminated for treating a customer rudely! read more

My experience at this post office is rated at 5 stars because of Verdell - she was just wonderful! I had to mail several packages to a foreign country and she was so patient with the computer, putting in all the information. You could tell she loves what she does and even though I was there in the afternoon when the line was very long, nobody seemed irritated because she treated each customer as her family member. I have had several mail delivery issues within the past 6 months. It's impossible to speak with anyone over the phone regarding my issue as their main line is always redirected to a fax number. They need to do a better job of delivering mail and they definitely need to do something about their phone system (or lack there of). read more

I went to pick up a certified letter and waited in line while others who did not have a pick up were called before me without explanation from PO staff. When I finally was helped and had waited for 15 minutes, the employee returned to tell me the letter was not there & another kind of notice should have been left. The employee was unfriendly & curt and gave me no further information. My carrier did not leave the letter when the receipt was signed & left with a note -- after a week of waiting and going to the Post Office twice, to find the letter was not there. read more
