USPS isn't my favorite acronym, but it's also not my sworn enemy (that is a toss up between LADOT, issuer of parking tickets, and DMV, enforcer of paying tickets or you can't renew your registration, and FedEx...ok, not an acronym, but see past reviews for irks with that brand). I've never encountered a line here more than three people deep and the postal workers behind the window move the line along at an acceptable rate. They have dedicated parking spots off Colorado in their own lot, so no need to use the metered spots around the area. I feel like I'm sometimes in a rush and get upsold on getting a package get to its destination faster (read:more expensively) than I asked for ("cheapest, slowest snail mail possible, thank you"), but other than that decent, satisfactory service received. read more

I never really leave feedback on anything but this was a must. I found Linda very rude. I came back since I needed to fill out the right label. However, she questioned me why i didn't stick the label in the box. I gave her an answer that I'm not used to that type of label since I'm used to the "print out" label i do at home. To me, I just wasnt sure where to put it since it might be different. But she doesn't have to push it and question me more like she doubted me. I mean, what kind of customer service is this? If i didn't put stick the label, its probably because im not sure. I thought people are here to help and not embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable!!! I just sincerely didn't know and everyone is clearly different. It wasn't because I'm lazy or anything. She was nice after that, but I completely just wasn't in the mood and wanted to leave. Do not open P.O.Box here. I have,and I am sorry now. They marked my account as " not paid" when it was paid in advance. They hold on to my mail for over a month. Today, after over a month of not receiving my mail, I asked one of them regarding my mail, she looked at her screen and said that I have not paid!!!! I told her that it was paid in advance, then she lied and changed her story that she made a mistake and was looking another account!!! later today I went back where I found a lot of mail put in my box!! I asked her again, she kept on talking nonsense and kept lying more and more. Very bad service, I hope that they can close these offices that are poorly managed. Terrible terrible terrible. I wish this place had service as beautiful as the building. I will never come back to this post office for several reasons: - I cashed in a money order & they shorted me 20 bucks - The service is so so so so so slow. -Parking is a pain in the ass because you have to buy a little pass. & believe me, they will give you a ticket even if you're only dropping off an envelope. -Today, the front of the post office was closed off. They had a sign pointing to the right saying "go in front". I thought, "weird...that way is to the back of the post office?" I went all the way to the 'front' to find an alleyway and almost got hit by a construction workers tractor. As I walk down further I notice one little aide door open, right by where that stupid sign was! The arrow on the sign made me walk all the way around...if they would have put it the other way, it would have been a much quicker walk. On my way out, I noticed they had 2 signs with the arrows, the one from earlier was facing right and this new one was facing left. Great. I will be going to the one on Lincoln from now on. They are fast, have their mail together & know how to not confuse their patrons. read more

This is a beautiful clean big and very well kept Post Office! The architecture alone is worth seeing when you go to this location. It is right across from the Paseo shopping located on Colorado Blvd. and there is parking on the side of the street or the parking lot across underground which i think the Post office will validate for 2 hours free because you will have to pay on the meters if you use the street parking. It is gorgeous inside and there never really is a long wait for customer service. read more

This post office offers the most confusing services. All types of envelopes with no prices involved. It kinda big and intimidating so it initially it gives off a bad vibe. I accidentally grabbed the wrong type of envelope and the lady at the counter got super upset and told me to grab the right bag and come back cus she had "other " customers to serve. I looked around it was only me and a couple who was filling out ppr work on the sidelines -_-. I thought hmmmm maybe this bitch is having a bad morning...I looked at the clock..9:15am...hmmm post office counter opens at 9:00am so nope she's just a bitch. Fast and Friendly service always!! The PO is heavily frequented because of the popular location. Free parking in the alley.. Very cool historic building. Only thing that's missing is an area for an after hours post teller machine, but due to preservation is hard to implement. read more

I needed a money order and went to this post office. On a Tuesday, around 2:15PM, only one window was open and there was a huge line. The line was moving extremely slow. After I waited for about 45 minutes, I was finally able to see the clerk who was an African American lady. She told me that she doesn't have any money orders. When I looked at her with a surprise look, she said the guy who has money orders is gone for lunch. She then adds "you can wait if you want, he should be back in 20-30 minutes". I am thinking in my mind "yeah, 45 minute wait was not enough, now I have to wait another half an hour to get a money order". As a reflection to her response I said "wow...I wish I didn't wait in the life for this long to hear this". She heard me and got very agitated. I had no intention to argue with her so I just left. I never heard only one person keeps money orders in a post office. I will just go to a retail store and pay little more for a money order. There is a big group of lawmakers that are trying to abolish the USPS. These unprofessional workers are not really helping themselves either. read more

The blonde women who works at the window is a horrible hateful person. I have been going there for over a year and she clearly has some issue with me because she is always rude, for example I had a package that had already been paid for and wanted to drop it off but she yelled at me and told me I could not cut line. I said the whole purpose of paying online is so that you do not have to stand in line. She pointed to a box where I could drop it off then proceeded to talk negatively about me with the customer she was helping. I am sorry, I don't care if I am being the biggest bitch in the world, I am a customer and it is wrong to talk about me with another customer. I tried to call and complain but could not get anyone to answer. Nice interior, terrible service! I was trying to ship an item abroad with insurance. Was assisted by a clerk named David (middle aged Asian guy). He started ok until he entered the insurance amount & told me the insurance could only be up to $100 in value. I explained that I shipped the exact same item to the same country & was able to purchase additional insurance. Next thing you know, his computer stopped working, he snapped like crazy, hit his desk while telling me he had to reboot it (as if it were my fault!!!) & said somebody would assist me. A lady then assisted me while he shouted "I told him he couldn't purchase additional insurance!" Guess what? She was able to provide additional insurance. the guy didn't even apologize to me (well, I wasn't expecting it anyway). First time I went to this post office. Long lines and poor customer service are the obvious, it's USPS so you can't expect anything other. It's the endless questions and comments about what you are sending. "Where are you sending to? Why? What's inside? Oh wow it's heavy!" Just put the postage on and tell me what is due. I started printing the flat rate labels at home so I wouldn't have to waste 45 minutes standing in line, then begging the cashier to affix postage. But you can't drop off the prepaid packages and walk out. You still have to stand in line then have them inspect and analyze and question what you are send, why you are sending it, and how come it is so heavy? read more

STAY AWAY!! There are currently 16 customers in line and only 1 window open. I've been waiting for over 20 minutes and not one customer has moved. The manager on duty who is supposed to be running the other window said he is on a break and won't leave break early regardless of how many customers are waiting. I work in the area and some of the mail I receive at home is also processed in Pasadena. It never fails that tracking online for any package will give a delivery date and then my package doesn't actually show up for 2-3 days later. I don't know what they do once it arrives at the Pasadena location but I have started using UPS and Fedex any chance I can to avoid this issue. The online tracking should show the day it will show up at MY location. read more
