Well. My father passed away, the tenant has taken off with the mailbox key. I am from the eastern U.S. I need to know which mailbox out of the cluster belongs to his house so that we can get it rekeyed and check to see what mail is sitting there. I have called and it rings about 20 times, and then gives a busy signal or just gives a busy signal right away. We need to sell the house and there is no access to the mailbox. The USPS gets a lot of hate, and to be fair, my Mail has been mixed up with someone's down the street but after calling the post office to let them know the problem, they did fix it. I get all my mail now, and Maricopa is just a weird place where street numbers are the same and the only difference is the street name. People will complain this location is busy, but if people go in right before the establishment closes, of course it's going to be busy. I go in the middle of the day when it's too hot for all the complainers to leave their homes. The service is wonderful, and for the abuse these poor workers receive from people with nothing better to do than complain and scream, I think they deserve a medal. Joyce especially is sweet, funny, and engaging. Everyone always has a smile, and they do their best to help. Also, profits from certain Forever stamps go to various charities, including Breast Cancer and PTSD. Go support a charity and buy some stamps. I'd recommend. Cheers! read more

None of the staff are very friendly. The wait is not bad even at the busiest times. When I have asked for mail to be delivered after a hold it seldom is. Apparently it goes to the "other" annex and no one can find it. This also happens when I go to pick up mail after I get a notice that I have to sign for it. I have lived in Maricopa for over 20 years and nothing has changed. It takes HOURS to get qny one on the phone if I have a problem. THAT is the biggest frustration. Be wary of misinformation when you go here - Lisa seemed prideful to do the bare minimum at her job with USPS and incorrectly denied packages. She did not try to service the postal system, the customer, or her employer by communicating a solution - instead she rudely wanted to move onto the next customer. I had a box delivered today and it was shoved in my mailbox, they had to really push it it and rip the box to make it fit in the regular mailbox! I could barely get it out as it was shoved in with no room to spare! Why the hell they didn't put in in one of the other boxes and leave me a key I will never understand!! This post office is interested intentionally under staffed. The staff are nice folks but there's NEVER a time when it's not a line out the door of where the clerks are and around the back of the area where all the PO boxes are. Completely unacceptable. So far I've come to this little post office 3 times and all 3 times it was pleasant. The employees were friendly and helpful and in a great mood especially around the holiday rush before Christmas last week. What prompted me to do a review was that there was an issue with one of my packages delivered from Amazon. I put in a request online and within a day or so I got a call from someone there apologizing and that my package was delivered to my box. read more

Fastest post office I've been to. I never waited more than 25 minutes to get my business handled compared to most places I've been to. I was in and out, very quick. The employees that work here are very friendly, funny, and have a smile on their face. Buck is funny and the nicest. The downside is that they close at 4:30pm and the parking lot is kind of small but plenty of street parking! I wish I encountered more post offices like this one. read more

This is a small post office that needs to be rebuilt larger in a more convienent location somewhere around WALMART area. The comments about the workers are way off. Been here since 2012 from ny and everyone at this office has been nothing but helpful and friendly on every visit I have been there and I use the post office frequently. I guess you get back in life what you project out. Treat people kindly and they respond in the same way! It's a pretty simple old fashion way of life that still works. When you have a crowd stuffed into a small post office with no room you just can't blame the employees. It's not their fault it's a shoebox building. If I could rate lower I would most definitely. I called to see if my package would still be there because all mail was supposed to be forwarded when I moved March 25. She had the nerve to say would there be a reason you have a package here? I said yes because my mail was supposed to be forwarded and I have yet to receive this $121 package. She went and searched for the package after I gave her the tracking number and then told me my package went to waste mail. If your not familiar with waste mail which I wasn't, it means it goes directly to the trash! Not back to the sender not held and they call or email you to let you know you have a package but straight to the trash! She tried saying the company in which I ordered from didn't pay for enough postage to have the mail forwarded which I know they do because I ordered through them multiple times. And all the lady had to say is you won't be getting it because it went in the trash l. So if anyone has an expensive package that got delivered and was supposed to be forwarded to a new address I would rather just pick it up directly instead because it's ridiculous they have the authority to throw away someone's package without them knowing. I believe they should get that fixed because it's not in their right to do that. So I give negative 5 stars read more

Worst post office in the world without a shout of a doubt. Everyone there is incapable of doing their job. No one has the slightest clue as to what's going on. This post office doesn't even have mail trucks. Different random civilian vehicles drop the mail in the neighborhood mail box. Changed my address over a month ago and still not getting my packages because they are being forwarded and no one at the post office seems to have any idea as to where my packages are. These people are absolutely stellar employees on top on their game when it comes to helping out customers by giving every customer the run around. Maricopa sucks and it's post office is even worse. Receive all my packages through FedEx and UPS just fine. Stay out of Maricopa at all costs and stay away from their joke of a post office a brain dead person has more functioning brains cells than these employees do. Keep you the outstanding service people and don't change a thing I like not getting my packages that I spend money on it makes things so awesome for me. read more

I have on several occasions expected delivery of packages. Tracking these I will find that they are "OUT FOR DELIVERY" however, they are not delivered as promised. Instead I will get a tracking notice that a "Notice was left" and "No secure access". I live in a manufactured home on open land (no gates) so there is no reason for failed delivery. If UPS, FedEx etc. can get out here regardless of the weather conditions then I fail to see why my mail cannot be delivered when it says it is going to be delivered. read more

Postman put my package in someone else's box. I got key for box when I opened it had package for someone else. I know the address of but postman picked up the wrong package delivered into my box but where's my package. UPS sent me notification that my package was delivered at 12.11pm by local post office. When I asked about my package postman said he's just picking up the wrong package delivered to me, a different carrier will does that. I don't know what he meant but I surely want my package. I have been receiving neighbors mail across the street and three blocks away for the past 6-8 months. I've been having nothing but issues with them, and they act as if they are not in the wrong. Today I was supposed to get a package that I paid extra to get it today, and the only excuse I got from the workers is that they are four days behind due to Memorial Day. The people at our post office are friendly and hard working from what I see. This post office in a building that was erected in 1990 cannot keep up with the city that's growing by leaps and bounds. The parking available on just one side is prone for accidents since there's only one lane in or out barely able for two vehicles to pass. Everyone keeps getting their neighbor's mail and packages. I never got my 90 day Lisinopril prescription for my blood pressure but the USPN informed delivery app says it was delivered. This post office has been overgrown and it's system is failing. There aren't any current plans to get a modern facility and the new post master general seems only concerned about cutting costs so things are probably going to get a lot worse. We aren't being served by the state to fix our overcrowded roads nor the fed that's losing our mail. By the way, I live in Maricopa, not San Francisco, California where I haven't been since being in the US Army at Fort Ord, California. read more

I really love this post office. I'm in here so much, every employee knows who I am. They are truly wonderful ! VERY FRIENDLY staff, EXCELLENT customer service and I like the 24 hour access to your PO box. The only downside is that they are closed on Saturday's. Oh gosh, where do I begin this rant? The first thing I noticed upon entering; They have a new "policy" in place that states they will not label or tape your packages. You need to take care of that before approaching the window. They have TAPED this notice to the wall in various places. Fair enough. It can certainly be frustrating to stand in line behind someone that has basically decided to let the post office employees pack and label their package. I do not do that. However, when I got to the counter with my USPS Priority Mail envelope (which I had personally labeled and sealed before standing in line); I realized that the self-adhesive strip was not sticking to the envelope and I was quite concerned that it would come open in transit. So, I asked the clerk if she happened to have a piece of tape so I could secure the envelope. Silly Me! She said she did not, that they have no tape, but that I could buy tape. So that's what I did, I purchased a very small roll of packing tape for an additional $4.10. Not happy about it. More than the cost, it's the principle of the matter and the lack of service this implies. The post office already charges a healthy sum to mail stuff, why can't they have a roll of tape on the counter, next to the Priority Mail envelopes and labels, for use by customers in an "emergency" such as what I had? Since I am in full gripe mode, I would like to know why this post office, that serves over 40,000 Maricopa residents, does not have a self-serve Kiosk and is also CLOSED on the weekend? I will avoid this particular location in the future. I will drive the extra distance to another post office that cares about it's customers and their mail getting to it's destination. read more

The front desk lady Dinese was incredibly rude. Yelling at people talking down to them treating them like they're all idiots and full of nothing but sarcasm and disdain for her job. She yelled at me to the point that I was in tears and threw my package around while slamming things. It's was childish rude and hateful. This is supposed to be a happy time. The holiday season. And instead I cried all the way home. Too upset to continue with the rest of my plans for the day. This post office has absolutely the rudest, most unprofessional employees I have ever dealt with at any post office. They do not have a drop off box/slot for boxes that have the shipping already printed, attached, and paid for online. They insist that you wait 45 minutes in line just to hand them the package (waiting along with those that need to buy boxes, envelopes, and postage). I asked politely if I could just hand it over and got yelled at by a woman with dark hair. An employee named "Buck" has also been extremely rude in the past - telling me that I had no business printing postage online and when I commented that he was kind of rude he said "ya, it's Monday". I don't mind if I have done something wrong, to have an employee point it out and help me understand what's wrong, but to just be flat out rude off the bat is very bad business. Nice to have a US Post Office, but only when they are OPENED! Maricopa's office has doctor's hours, they open late and close early! I almost killed myself driving home one day to get there to pick up an important letter and they were already closed before 5:00pm! This is where all our hard earned tax payer's money goes to? They don't even have a Stamp Machine or Kiosk for help, any forms to fill out to prep your boxes or even ship out labels in the lobby. I had 2 medium and 3 large priority boxes full of mineral specimens to send back to the East Coast. I sent 2 medium and 2 large boxes out through Casa Grande and the 5th was a large priority box sent out through this Maricopa Post Office. They contents were wrapped individually and insulated from each other. The box itself was overtaped and then taped with strapping tape around the length and width of the box. The 4 sent out from Casa Grande arrived intact and no worse for the wear. The one and only box sent through Maricopa looked like it had been tossed around a concrete floor. Two edges were torn open as if someone wanted to look at the contnets and the seams on two sides were split. Because of the way it was taped it stayed together but everything inside the box was damaged. Since the only place it is manually handled is where it is received into the system then I have to believe this is where the damage originated. read more
