An extremely efficient young man named Jonathan at the counter told me how to save money shipping because I ship tons of stuff for eBay and shipping has been a huge problem for me. The only one making money is the post office, and they're not cutting me any breaks! Basically, in a nutshell, he saw I was shipping to the east coast from California, via usps ground advantage. He said, If I were you I would ship it priority in that special priority cardboard envelope and save $6, plus it will get there faster. So instead of paying $16 to ship but ground advantage, I paid $10 to ship to New Jersey, and it will get there faster. No one at the post office has ever offered that suggestion. It was about just taking my hard earned money excessively. This young man should be the postmaster, soon! He's the icon of efficiency and great public service! I watched the way he was greeting customers perfectly, and this is a breath of fresh air. read more

OK, honestly, as far as post offices go, this is one of the best you're gonna find. Yeah, you still have to deal with some of the random stuff like other customers being super slow and them being understaffed, but to be honest I've had really good experiences here. I live in Redlands now, but I still drive back to this one because it's just so much more efficient. Jonathan works at the front a lot of the time and he is always super friendly and nice. Always willing to help and answer questions and not getting annoyed when people are super annoying. It's smaller, but quicker. Worth going a little out of your way if you ask me. read more

Don't mail important packages here! They will steal your things and you will never get your package delivered!

My mail carrier delivered my mail to my neighbor's locked mailbox yesterday and I got my neighbor's mail in my mailbox. I've tried calling the local post office at the given number and after hearing a recorded message, it sends you to the operator, but the phone just keeps ringing. After about two minutes of ringing, it just hangs up on you. It looks like I won't get my mail from yesterday, because the house next to me is empty so there's no one receiving mail there. Really frustrating. What's the point of having a phone number if you don't intend to answer the phone? read more

Why do you is deliver packages EVERY WEEK. Checking the address to confirm you are delivering the package to the correct is crucial to your job. Having to file a claim each time and the package miraculously appears a few days later is ridiculous. Good thing we have cameras and time stamps of when our packages are delivered. This wrels package says delivered at 336pm didnt get out mail until 515pm. Now having to hold for over 20 mins to file a claim for your negligence. read more

Let's be honest, all post offices suck! This one just happens to suck a little less. As far as wait time, I've been here at different times every time, and there's always a long line. However you get staff members who happen to be less rude than all other post office employees I've ever encountered. They also close right on time so prepare accordingly. Overall, I like that it never takes them long to track down my packages. I will continue to do business here for now. read more

Amazing and friendly staff! My only two gripes are the following: 1) They never pick up the phone. In that case, I recommend going to them in person, if you are able to. 2) They take forever in cashing a payment made by check. Best to pay by cash or card. This one is just weird coz they've already given me a receipt of payment. Just been over a month since that happened and the money hasn't left my bank yet. read more

The new location for the Loma Linda Post Office is good and the postal employees friendly and helpful, but the building is lacking in size to accommodate the customers. They should have built a much bigger building if this was going to be the only Post Office to serve the entire City of Loma Linda. The parking lot should also have been designed to accomodate more customers. It has major design flaws which cause numerous near misses between drivers daily. There is a lot of land around the Post Office so hopefully one day they will realize and at least expand the parking lot. For now, I will continue to rent a PO Box at this location and keep a close watch as I drive in and out so I don't get side swiped or backed into. read more

Mailing packages are so confusing and such a hassle especially if you don't know much about it but the worker here cleared all my questions today :-). She was very patient with me. Only thing about this location is the parking lot. I always have problems with people almost crashing into me when I'm backing out because they are in such a hurry to park they can't wait 10 more seconds.... There are also long lines sometimes so be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes if not more. read more

The staff here are all friendly and efficient and that's why I'm a fan. The things I don't like about this location is the size. It is relatively very small that when there's a line, people do not actually fit inside and have to be outside by the door. Also the driveway entrance that leads to the parking lot is also small. When a car backs up and there's another car that comes in (by that entrance) they will hit each other unless the other one stops or move forward or back. read more

It's a hit and miss at this place for customer service. Been coming here for a long time. Sometimes when it's high volume hours, they have 2-3 staff members or sometimes they just have 1-2 staff members. Prolly depends on the day. Parking can get crowded during peak hours. read more

Terrible management. They deliver 1 out of 20 packages. I watch them regularly from my front yard drive by, not stop at my house and drop a hardly populated slip in my mailbox down the street before driving off. I am at home 24/7. My work desk is 5ft away from my front door. One time I heard them at my front door making beeps on their handheld. I figured they would either leave the package or knock. After some time, I opened the door and found another slip (at least they made it to my door this time). I had a another package that took several weeks to come in from out of country, and they sent it back without even leaving a slip in the first place. I have several packages at this moment waiting at USPS for me to pickup and it has been like this for years with all my packages. I have complained numerous times. The manager (a very nice woman), has the response that they have new drivers often that don't know how to find my house. Fedex and UPS have never once not delivered a package. Gas, Electric, Water all do not have any issue. Even Sparklet's water delivers. They refuse to assume their responsibility as a "logistics" business. All excuses, no solutions. While the manager is nice, I think it is going to take someone with a different attitude to fix this problem. She is not built for this job. She should swap her job with one of the angry front desk employees. I have never heard a single solution out of her, just this is how it is and "I will talk to them". Woman.. Ask yourself a very simple basic question; How do we assure our drivers deliver packages? This is the job you assumed. This is such a small city it is an embarrassment she is not capable of answering such a question. She needs to resign. It's sad that the only government agency that actually treats their customers with any considerable level of decency refuses to be objective about their operation and fix their issues. These guys are getting paid for logistics they are simple not capable of nor deliver on. No way to stop it. This is life. read more

I think this post office is so nice. I have had excellent service. The people that work in the post office go out of their way to help and accommodate you. The only problem is the homeless lady in the parking lot. Being handicapped I don't like it when she blocks the ramp on the end of front sidewalk with her tent as I have to then walk into the traffic. read more

I walk here, so I can't comment on the parking situation. No one tried to hit me, so that's good...? I did see how it only accommodates a handful of cars. Inside, the place is tiny. I've seen smaller. The difference is that there is no clear line. There is a long table, but I can't tell which end is where a line starts. People just wait for whoever was there first, I guess. This location has the rudest staff. The main instance that sticks out to me is when I tried to pay for some stamps with a check. The man helping me held me there for 10 minutes, refusing to take my check and interrogating me about the legitimacy of my check. I was ready to walk out when a different worker finally came over and said to take my ID with the check and write down all of my info! I let them do it because I needed the stamps immediately. Don't try to pay with checks, I guess. My neighbors ask me to collect their mail for them when they go out of town because many of them have had issues with putting mail on hold- either it never gets put on hold or they have issues when going to collect the mail later and canceling the hold. I now go through UPS instead or go to Mail Choice on Barton. I will not go back to this location. read more

The Indian/Pakistani lady working front desk is absolutely the worst. AVOID her at all costs. She is rude and doesn't give a damn about what your problem is. If you're going to be working in an environment where you are interacting with hundreds of customers, at least try to make it seem like you want to help. read more

I have had nothing but problems with this place. I had to have our mail held because someone broken in our mailbox and broke the box. Every time I go in to get my mail the lady manager would have a fit and be rude. Even telling me nothing is wrong with my mail box. It's a group of apartment boxes and she knew it was broken because everyone in my apartment had there mail on hold also. She is just a very evil lady to put it nicely. So once our email box was fixed I went in to collect the last of my mail and cancel the hold. The next two days after that I was receiving my mail like normal. After the first 2 days I stopped getting mail to my box. After a week not getting my mail, luckily the mail person was running very late and I got to catch her after I got home from work. I asked about my mail and she said it was on Vacation hold. I don't know how the heck that happened because I was never on vacation. She said she will have the person on tomorrow's route drop it all off. So tomorrow comes and I go to the mail box and there is a big yellow paper that says "vacant" on it. No joke. I search for the mail delivery person and this time it was a guy. I asked him why a vacant paper is on my mail box. He really didn't know why but said there was a lot of mail of mine being held. I vented to him and he was very nice and apologized. Because he was nice and said he would drop it off in the morning is why the two stars. If you see only one star he didn't drop it off like he said he would lol. I am hoping that the really evil manager is just being evil and messing with my mail. The other alternative is almost everyone at this location doesn't have a clue on what they are doing. read more

I wish I could give this place 5stars--the workers in front definitely deserve it. However, they've lost my mail/parcel twice without a trace and without any compensation. I still have the USPS collection stubs. Each time they assured me that they would track the parcel, intercept it and get it to me. Both times I never heard back. read more

I have visited the Loma Linda Post office, more than 5 times in the past year. Today, was the first time I saw a homeless man camping outside the front of the post office on the sidewalk. He was not blocking the entrance, but was about 5 or 6 cars away from the front. He had a shopping cart, sleeping bag, and several other trash bags and shopping bags all around him. It seems that there has been more homeless people living or hanging out in front of not only the Post Office, but also Walmart shopping center on Barton Rd. and in the parking lot of Stater Brothers on Barton Rd. Is wasn't like this when I first moved to Loma Linda in 2001, but somehow there are more homeless people migrating here now. The same is true of Highland, Redlands, and other surrounding cities in San Bernardino County. As far as the customer service at the Post office, I have purchased stamps and mailed packages there without any trouble. Of course it is busy on Monday mornings, and during the holidays. Other than that, the Loma Linda post office hasn't been too busy during the times that I have been there. read more

I mailed a small package to the Bahamas on the 8th of August 2013, they said it will take 8 to 10 days to get there. I went on vacation the next day for 3 weeks, I am back from my vacation and it has not yet arrived in the Bahamas. The package is still in Miami, so much for fast delivery. read more

Phone line is always busy. Often misplaces or marks packages as undeliverable even if earlier packages were delivered fine. Will leave packages on the curb and mark them as delivered to front door. read more
