It's bad enough that they are supposed to close at 3:30 but then they have the audacity to close a few minutes early.

Amazing phone customer service. The only office that would answer the phone then went above and beyond to answer my questions and provide help! read more

This time I wasn't a visitor of this most horrid facility. My elderly parents will sometimes drop off a package to deliver which is routine until this afternoon, my dad asked the employee at the counter if he could get a tracking number for his package and the employee said they were out of tracking numbers and my dad would have to go to Makiki Post office to get one. Unless something has changed where postage labels are no longer contains tracking numbers, methinks the employee either didn't understand the question, poorly trained, or didn't want to be bothered with this request. read more

Employees are great. Management is not. Really not. My sister works for the post office and she would be embarrassed. 20 min. wait outside per manager for change of address- still waiting. Wow. read more

Shipped a flat rate box yesterday and the guy didn't give me a tracking number or a normal receipt to claim anything for insurance. They also don't mail international. What type of post office doesn't mail internationally???? Even the post office by the airport thought that was odd. I like going here cause it's close but not if I have to take trips to two different places just to mail an international package. read more

This Post office really sucks. I just moved to Manoa recently and attempted to open a PO BOX. It took 4 times going back and forth before we finally got our box, you'd think we were applying for FBI security clearance. I don't mind following rules but when the worker does not give you the correct information in the first place and sends you on a wild goose chase; that's when I lose my temper. I did open a PO box in Aiea last year and had no trouble what so ever. Took all of 5 min so I was unsure why Manoa was giving us a hard time. Later I found out this is a contracted post office which probably means they don't have to abide by the same courteous standards as the official post office do. To make a long story short, I canceled my service after they locked me out of my box because they decided they wanted a copy of my lease. If you need postal service please take your business to a full fledged post office not this rinky dink wanna be. read more

Mahalo to postal worker ADAM GOSS - this is the SECOND time Adam has gone out of his way to try and help get my certified mail letter done! Yes, some of the other workers are not like the real post office, but the convenience is key. So if you have something simple to get shipped this place is at least three stars. But if you really want outstanding, great pro service and someone who really wants to help - then wait until Saturdays and look for ADAM GOSS as he outshines all the rest and his personality is so kind and patient!! He says he only works Saturdays. Being a Senior who needs kind patience and a lot of answers nowadays, it's so refreshing to get some younger person who still respects his elders. Mahalo Adam for fronting me a dollar when I was short on sending my copy of my tax return to the state and had to get it to them by Tuesday. It was 10 to 12pm and I forgot that they only take cash (they should really change this system as it is so frustrating) Adam said no worries and took care of the difference HIMSELF! Now where do you find that type of person nowadays! Paul E. Goo MANOA RESIDENT read more

0 stars but guess I'll have to give it some sort of rating... I've been to this postal station only a few times , every time I've went in I left so irritated after going in there,, as you know this is not a REAL post office but a satellite of some sort... people they have working in there are in DIRE NEED on lessons relating to " Customer Service skills 101". Which they totally lack ....I did give them the "benefit of the doubt" but today was the last straw.....I will no longer use their service ... Even if it is / was convenient ..... read more

Pretty bad. Not very helpful. Unprofessional. Makes sending mail more difficult than simple. Manoa needs better service at their post office unit or whatever you want to call it. The only reason to come here is the convenience of not having to leave Manoa-- there is no other reason. They watched us tape up our boxes with priority tape then told us when we got to the window that it would cost a lot more with that tape. They didn't offer a different tape. Nicest thing they did was let us borrow a pair of scissors. Good luck. read more

The service here is the WORST! First, the post office cashier KAYLA, is completely disrespectful and unprofessional, complete with rolling eyes and using discriminatory terms like, "retarded!" So inappropriate. Had to ask for a supervisor 3 times and then an equally indifferent staff, BOB, was flippant and condescending! What is up with the Manoa Post Office? read more

This so-called post office is a joke. Main issues: - does not accept credit cards or debit cards, only cash and checks - if you want to send a parcel abroad, forget about it--they don't carry custom forms. They just give you a slip of paper with the URL of the USPS website and tell you to go online, print the forms, fill them out, and bring together with the parcel that you want to send abroad. - no medium-size boxes for Express/Priority mail. - closes at 3:30 p.m. Verdict: This place is not equipped for serving 21st century customers. You will have much better luck going to the post office on King St. read more

The convenience of having a post office in Manoa (Marketplace), it's great! The service is mediocre, and the hours weird, but other than that, pretty much everything is here in this little PO. You can buy simple envelopes as well as packaging (including flat-rate). read more

Why doesn't yelp have a negative stars option? AVOID THIS PLACE! They cannot even print up a tracking receipt, in fact they could not even ship 2 of my packages. And the people were rude and unaccommodating. I even asked, what is it you ARE able to do, and am assuming they can sell stamps. Oh, they cannot take credit/ debit either. What a sham. You're better off waiting for Santa. read more

This place is AMAZING. Why? Because the people who work here are totally amazing, friendly, kind, funny and wonderful. If you need to use the Post Office for any reason, I'd drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to this one. Thank you to each person who works here for making life more light and fun. You Rock - and there should be stamps with your faces on them. read more

If you don't want to get rip-off and be charged more, never send your mail or parcel from there!!! In addition to that, the girl is so rude and not helpfull at all. read more

Any business/office/etc that decorates their walls, ceiling, trash cans and doors with Star Wars, Star Trek, The Simpson's, Dr. Who and other nerdy sci-fi/anime stuff deserves no less than 5-stars. Live long and prosper and may the Force be with you. read more

I don't understand the price in USPS is aways changing and It does not make sense...couple weeks ago I sent three book in three packages and its price around $12 and I did send today the same things I guess, but it costs $26. please make sure about that read more

This is a contract post office that appears to be run by individuals with no common sense! They stuffed a legal size cardboard mailer into a box with dimension of about 3" x 5" and ruined the contets on two separate occasions. I was informed that they are allowed to fold and bend the mailer at their discretion regardless of the contents or regardless that the packaging states DO NOT BEND. Any reasonable person with common sense would not have folded and stuffed the contents in a tiny post office box. I can only imagine how they handle fragile mail. This is my opinion, make your own judgement. read more

Very rude and young staff. It's much easier to drive to a machine than be treated in such a condescending and inefficient manner. Postal service could hire much higher quality people for the job. read more

Negative star to rate. USPS must give a good customer service to people. Poor rating for makiki Postal office branch.

OMG !!! I mailed 2 boxes before thanksgiving and one came back with no postage on it. And one did not get to its destination . Priority mail. Should take 2 to 4 days at the most. It's been a week. I paid for the postage . read more

Used the flat rate mail service this post office does not do the job properly the flat rate priority should come with insurance all the guy did was give me a tracking number and i ended up losing my mail. On Oct 2, 2010, I mailed flat rate medium boxes. The female clerk looked at the boxes and I paid the flat rate fees and left. Two days later I was mailed by this mail center a note saying that they had made a mistake and charged me incorrectly - one package was addressed to Canada and I needed to complete the proper paper work and pay an extra fee. Four days later, I went back to the post center to complete the transaction and was faced by the Manager. He proceeded to tell me that he did not know where my package was, and the he sent it back. I asked where and he flatly told me, "I don't know your house I guess". I asked if I could get a refund, and he said that I needed to bring back the box. Now I work fulltime and have young children, the hours of this center is NOT convenient at best for me. I asked if I could get a refund at another office and he bolted out, "yeah, but you have to explain the whole story to them." Then he proceeded to blame me for not informing them that the box was going to Canada and that it was my fault. He became so accusatory that I told him twice, "back off". I left the office in tears and called on my husband for support. He then went in and retrieved my refund. I wish the pain ended there, after a week the box has not arrived at my home. We went, yet again, to the Manoa Center and the manager was again salty and directed us to the Makiki Sub Station. By the time we got there the Manoa Manager called the Makiki Manager and, we were faced with another bout of disrespect and dis-service. I am appalled at how your employees treat their customers. Your organization shows very little accountability and no Aloha Spirit. Thank goodness for email and catalogs!!! PS: The workers here are not FED Employees hence no uniform...nor class... read more

A super friendly post office welcomed me back to Manoa. Lived in the valley 30 yrs ago. This postal unit gets my highest rating. Will remember cash only. Thanks for thorough orientation on a busy Saturday. read more

There is one big catch besides the opening hours. This place does accept no cards. ONLY CASH.

I did have a problem with a previous proprietor, but in the past few years, I have not had any problems at this post office. I certainly have not experienced any rudeness or unprofessional behavior by the workers there. In fact I find the folks there to be rather friendly, and it seems to me that many others that I see there also have a positive feeling about that post office. read more

Maybe it is my clean living but I have had nothing but great service here. I have a PO Box and use the window service. People are friendly and helpful. I would give them 5 stars if they were open until 4 PM. read more

Great place to mail packages, short lines and friendly staff. Very helpful! Only downside, they don't accept credit or debit cards. Cash only! read more

This is a great little post office. They don't take credit/debit but that has to do with the fact that they are just a substation and aren't allowed to do certain services (CC, money orders, passports, etc). If you can get over that they do all the other regular stuff really well, like domestic shipping and buying stamps. The staff is really friendly and they even have a dog! read more
