Like most government entities, this place is ran like crap. Line could be out the door and you'll be lucky if there's two people working the counter. Oh there's plenty of people walking around joking and visiting. But they don't care. There's no sense of urgency at all. If lunch or break time rolls around they could care less how long the line is....they just abandon the window. I'm standing in line as I type this. There's one woman at the counter. She's not helping anyone. She's keeping herself busy shuffling papers and ignoring the line. Well at least the government is willing to employee these people. I recently sent 4 boxes with holiday and birthday gifts for our children and grand children. 2 went to colorado and 2 sent to Hawaii. They were an expected delivery of 12/11. When I checked the tracking for the packages on 12/12 to see if they were delivered, the 2 to Hawaii showed they were received on 12/6 at the Henderson Post Office but no further tracking showed on line. So I went to the post office and stood in a horrific line to see what happened. There was only 1 window servicing passport customers and 1 window taking mail and packages. After a 35 minute Wait I approached the counter and provided my tracking receipt and explained my situation. The woman who helped me at the counter was rude from the get go, like I was taking time from her day. While explaining my issue, an African American man working the other counter started yelling at me saying the date is an estimate delivery and that their location does not hold packages. I responded who's helping me, her or you. Like mind your business and help the customer you're helping. Anyway the gal helping me disappeared in the back with my receipt. About 5 minutes later she came back to tell me they were not holding my packages. That wasn't my question I explained. I asked her it says packages received at the Henderson location but there is no further tracking after that. So I asked her how can I have this looked into. She said you have to file an inquiry. I said well can't you help me with this, it's why I'm here she said no I don't know how and you have to look on line. Like wtf, I paid $85 to ship 2 small boxes and y'all can't get it right or even help. I went on line to try and find where to file an inquiry and it's not easy navigating through the USPS website. So I finally found the site and file missing packages. It's been 4 days and no reply from anyone and the packages are still incognito. Every time I go to this location everyone at the counter is rude and speaks in a condensing tone. If they hate their job so much, why are you there. I'm beginning to think someone stole my packages before they even left the post office, thus why there is no further tracking after they were received and processed. Very frustrating and disappointing to say the least. And sadly my family may never receive their packages for birthday and Christmas. read more

I usually have an good experience at this USPS but lately when I get my mail, my envelope sides are cut like someone purposely cut it to see what's inside. And my last visit was Monday morning, line was long as usual but moving fast. I was mailing an item to overseas army base so I had to write down whole a lot of information on the paper slip. Once it was my turn an African American man which I never seen before was talking down at me very rudely. I never said anything rude to him btw but he started to say, "I've done this for very long time". Trying to say that I am wrong and his right kind of conversation. I felt very uncomfortable and told him that it's been a minute since I mailed it out to overseas. I think I'll go to different location just because of this uncomfortable situation. I like this post office better then the one on S Boulder. For the most part the staff are friendly. They also have a large blue cart out where you can drop prepaid packages off, which is very nice. S Boulder doesn't and they get cranky when you leave packages on the counter. read more

You are losers!!! Not to mention THIEVES!!! I mailed a birthday card to my cousin on Walbrook Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio on April 24, 2026 from the Valle Verde Henderson, Nevada. I "camouflaged" it due to previous thefts by postal employees! I put it in a 6 x 9 envelope, along with a piece of a file folder with a note explaining the "camouflage".......and wrote on the outside of the envelope "photo, do not bend"! "Somebody" opened the envelope, then the birthday card and STOLE the $20.00 gift I sent her. You were thoughtful enough to still deliver the empty card! I hope you enjoy the $20 and put it to good use like crack, fentanyl or alcohol! Clearly, you must need to supplement your Federal paycheck to afford such habits! Hope you get caught! I really like this post office. The staff is helpful, kind, and efficient. They can get through a line fast! I love all the different types of stamps they have too. Most recently, I picked up post card stamps that were cute and able to fit the larger postcards because the mailing sizes increased. The desk clerk was patient in checking and verifying this info. This post office has to be the worst. The staff are extremely rude and leave a long line of people for an extremely long time with zero regard. There was 3 of the yesterday and I was in a long line as usual, and 2 of them went on break. I left. Now I'm here again today , again in the long line, and there's two people in one window that just walked away and now zero people behind the desk again. It really is awful. Some clerks are very very nice, however it's one of the worse post offices ever! Always understaffed, always slow. Place doesn't look clean. Our neighborhood clustered mailbox was vandalized and this post office has no clue how long it will take to fix it. Someone said 6-7 months and that's on a good estimate! They open during business hours that I have to work, and they returned my packages after 2 days! I have proof from tracking, packages were in the post office with NO notices and they returned my packages after 2 days! It's also further away from home, like 6-7 miles while there is another 2 are closer. I'm so unhappy with them that I'm getting a mailboxes elsewhere so I can have mails forwarded. read more

I was getting my passport for the first time and I just wanted to extend appreciation to Jasmine, she was great in helping me and did my photo as well. I came in with all the paperwork online but I goofed and brought a copy of my birth certificate, but she said as long I could make it back by 3 with the original I wouldn't have to reschedule my appointment and thank goodness because it took a month just to get the initial appointment. Jasmine was thorough and explained and the process and what to expect and when my documents and passport should arrive. So for all that, I thank you very much Jasmine. Anthony was by himself there were a few call outs and he was very outgoing, kind and had a great sense of urgency, he helped me open a PO Box and went over all the details and delivered exceptional customer service. The line had about 20 people when I walked in however he delivered great customer service and kept his composure and made sure to apologize for the wait to every client that walked in the door. Mail delivery has really gone down hill. The mailman use to know most people in his/her route - they would know who moved and where to forward. They would pay attention. Not any longer. I moved and my sister sends me a package to my old address and with a mail forwarding address on file [that they make you PAY FOR now], the postal carrier still delivers it to my old address. Yeah, so I get the text that says DELIVERED ....to my old address. They pay no mind to the names on the mail they just throw it to the numbers. I consistently get mail for old tenants, including peoples bank statements and credit card information. A few months ago I got a text that my package was delivered but when I went out to get it, it wasn't there. Luckily the guy was still at our cluster box so i showed him and he found my package in someone else's mailbox. Can they not see? Do they not care? yeah pay attention bro!! And now the new resident or someone has my package and they won't take responsibility. read more

On Sat around 2:30p, stood in a long all the way to the door for about 15 minutes. I hear from somebody that is way upfront asking the post service people to open up another window because they've been standing in line for 45 minutes. I gave up. A lot of places have updated to COVID 19 standards by allowing for drive up, curbside pickup or online requests...except the Post Office. Come on Post Office! You can do some things online like order supplies and stamps to your house, but you would think that in these times when you call customer service that they don't say the only option is to go inside the post office. Masks are required and they have social distancing stickers on the floor. I have been here several times, but today was the first time I had to come by because my mailbox was broken into. I have one of those stand alone cluster mailboxes. I feel like you should be able to request mail to be delivered to the porch when your mailbox was damaged, but guess not. They said usually all mail starts going to the post office after a mailbox been damaged, but the mail carrier may not have noticed it was damaged because of where they put the mail in. Step 1: Request a Work Request to take a look at the mailbox. Your ID is required. Step 2: Request for Mail to be kept at the post office for pickup. Step 3: (optional) Report theft, tampering or vandalism to the post inspectors. 18778762455 Overall it was an easy in/out process. If I could give this location negative stars I would. For the third year in a row they have failed to deliver on the premium mail forwarding service. In an 8 week span I had to open 6 different cases because the mail was not forwarded. It's not a cheap service. The managers show no remorse and have an oh well we forgot attitude. The prior years it took them over 3 weeks to start the service. The manager would not even come out to talk to me when I went in for a refund. I guess when you work for the government you don't have to worry about job security or about fulfilling services purchased by customers. read more

To my surprise, our mail all the sudden stopped coming to our mailbox. I was super confused as to why and what was going on, especially since my Amazon purchases kept saying "Delivered, left in mailbox," but they were nowhere to be found! I finally had one say that it was being held up at USPS so I should just go in and try to figure it out. To solve the problem, we just decided to head into the post office. This is the closest one to us so we figured if anyone had the answers, it had to be this one. With everything going on, the post office isn't messing around. They had marks on the floor of where to stand (post offices can get super crowded), staff was wearing masks and gloves and they had the plexiglass at every station between the employee and the customers. We didn't have to wait too long which was so nice. The woman that helped us was super nice. I told her I had a package waiting to be picked up and listed off the tracking numbers for all the packages. After, she asked me what my address was and goes "Ohhhh yessss!" Alas, my problem was solved. She had mentioned that they were in the process of switching out our mailbox box and so we needed new keys. She also had all my packages there, too! We got our new keys, our packages and went about our day! The next day we saw the sign on our mailbox saying that they had put new ones in and that we needed to pick them up at the post office. We were one step ahead! Again, thanks to the staff for making such a weird problem so easy to handle. Aside from this experience, I've always had good interactions with staff here when I've come in to buy stamps and when I've come to ship things. They even have a self-ship area, too, if you don't feel like waiting in line. read more

I needed to get a package sent right away and this post office turned out to be one that I can count on. I was greeted by a male employee right when I walked in. How nice! There was one person in line who was helped by another worker, but then I was helped at the counter right away by a very efficient employee. She was quick and accurate. Confirmed the packages to be sent, offered me the available shipping rates ( i.e. overnight, next day, standard, etc. ) and some insurance was even included, unless I wanted more. Score! Usually, there is an upcharge at other couriers, but not here. The worker genuinely smile, asked me how my day was going, got all the postages ranged up, and my total was less than my lunch. Yay! I previously went to a non government shipping service ( which I will not name ) and they wanted to charge me 2.5 times as much as what the U.S. Post office would have charged me. Lesson learned, so I now I go early to the post office when I need something sent without feeling price gouged. This location also does passports, so if you want to apply,stop in, get the requirement checklist first, and then get your stuff in order. Don't be a newbie and bring your version of what you think will be acceptable requirements. I've seen people do this and then get upset. smh. Lastly, as the holidays are approaching, if possible, use the Flats Rate Boxes provided at the Post Office. It saves so much money in shipping and you will know how much to budget for since it is a flat rate. Extra insurance and expedited delivery is more of course, but a great value if you plan ahead. As I left, the male employee that greeted me initially also said, " Bye!" on my way out. Even helped open a door for an elderly lady. All in all, this is a good Post Office. Plenty of parking, friendly and efficient customer service. Will be coming back for sure. read more

I - like everyone else - dread going to the post office. And even worse, I found myself having to mail a package out on a late Saturday morning a couple weeks before Christmas. I figured this was going to be a nightmare. The post office NEVER has enough employees to handle the holiday load. But when I went in, I was pleasantly surprised at the service I received. I came in with an untaped envelope unsure of the best method to send it. Someone was able to help me right away and get me the Priority Envelope I needed to send the package. He even was able to get me a Sharpie marker to address it because I didn't think to bring it. They kept the line moving and there were a couple of staff members helping out people with easier mailing requests. I was going to take up one of the roaming staff on their offer but before I knew it - it was my time to go to the front of the line to one of the actual kiosks. The guy at the front was able to weigh the package for me and assure me that Priority Envelope was the way to go. He was helpful but efficient to keep the line moving. You can't avoid lines at the post office, but I feel like the team here works well to keep them manageable. read more

Since Trump designated another person in charge of the postal system their service has gotten terrible, mail takes forever and I am constantly getting mail that belongs to someone else in the neighborhood. They also do not answer the complaints people file. Filed one and never got an answer. Such a big city like Colorado Springs should have a better postal service. I wanted to give them numerous chances but it's always something. I've never had a package lost with a paid 2 day air and not only was the item worth over 2 grand it was going to a seller. I sent two packages out with a women with blonde longer hair, how did one of my packages get to the destination and the other hasn't even been scanned and it's been over a week. No call I've called to place claims and no one from this office has called me. I am on camera last Thursday around 1:45-2 and i will be coming in so you guys can figure out where this package has gone.
