The worst post office. Ten people in line and one worker. Most people rated this location one star. The Postmaster needs to look into this.

Smaller post office location with friendly and helpful people. Can't go wrong. I will go to this location going forward.

Always out of supplies, huge lines due to low staffing at…read morethe desk and they change their hours constantly so I waste a lot of trips coming here only realizing they are closed. when they do follow the hours posted they lock the doors 5 minutes early. I get it, you have to close at some point or you'll be checking people out all night but this location also doesn't provide 24hr access to the kiosk like the website says so yes closing the doors 5 minutes early is frustrating.

This location has to be one of the worst United States Postal Service offices I've ever had to use…read more Their lobby hours when I first bought my PO Box were until 6 PM. Which is great because I have a 9 to 5 job and would routinely come over and check my PO Box usually arriving right before 6 PM. They have since changed that and even though there are still people on site, they now lock the front door and don't let anybody in before I even have a chance to arrive. At one point, I was trying to pick up a package on Saturday and I arrived at 2:50 PM and they had already closed off the desk. And I could overhear the employees saying tough luck. I want to go home early. I had to wait and confront them (peacefully) about this when they went to lock the front door. And then they tried to convince me that I had not arrived until after 3 pm. Which was blatantly untrue. Absolutely unprofessional. I tried to put in a complaint to hopefully have the regional official for the post office to see what was going on. Only to be contacted by someone at the same post office saying they were closing my issue because I had received my package at that point. But no correction or desire to correct anything that was wrong with that an interaction. At the end of the day, they are handling something that is very important still which is the safe delivery and timely delivery of important things . And at this location, it feels like there is a complete lack of respect for that duty. I honestly hope in the near future someone comes in and addresses these issues. But as of today, I am done and I am not utilizing their post office box services anymore. It's truly unfortunate that I still have to deal with them for delivery to my home address as this is still my local post office .

Through all the days the one thing you can depend on is the mail person bringing you that special package. These days the lines aren't as long as they used to be because of the newest technology that is available to the general public. If you feel brave enough you can even buy stamps and mail a package with an interactive kiosk. Can you image mail being delivered on horseback, much has changed since the beginning of the early years and days of the post office. The inception of the postal system was established in Philadelphia on July 26, 1775. The beginning of the American Revolution appointed Benjamin Franklin as the first postmaster general. Over the years the post office was declared and made its own entity still funded by the federal government, but it granted its employees retirement benefits after so many years of service. Today, this entity functions most of the time as a flawless machine. To ensure your package makes it to where it's going the post office types in your packages address to ensure accurate shipping delivery and avoiding delays. This is on your bigger packages although. Make sure and write legibly when addressing a letter to ensure it makes it to the recipient. We want the letter to get there. Give these ladies and gentlemen of the post office a chance and applaud. They have so many important things to do and get your letters and packages out . Thank you and the value is PRICELESS! Especially this branch !

When I checked the tracking for the packages on 12/12 to see if they were delivered, the 2 to Hawaii showed they were received on 12/6 at the Henderson Post Office but no further tracking showed on line. So I went to the post office and stood in a horrific line to see what happened. There was only 1 window servicing passport customers and 1 window taking mail and packages. After a 35 minute Wait I approached the counter and provided my tracking receipt and explained my situation. The woman who helped me at the counter was rude from the get go, like I was taking time from her day. While explaining my issue, an African American man working the other counter started yelling at me saying the date is an estimate delivery and that their location does not hold packages. I responded who's helping me, her or you. Like mind your business and help the customer you're helping. Anyway the gal helping me disappeared in the back with my receipt. About 5 minutes later she came back to tell me they were not holding my packages. That wasn't my question I explained. I asked her it says packages received at the Henderson location but there is no further tracking after that. So I asked her how can I have this looked into. She said you have to file an inquiry. I said well can't you help me with this, it's why I'm here she said no I don't know how and you have to look on line. Like wtf, I paid $85 to ship 2 small boxes and y'all can't get it right or even help. I went on line to try and find where to file an inquiry and it's not easy navigating through the USPS website. So I finally found the site and file missing packages. It's been 4 days and no reply from anyone and the packages are still incognito. Every time I go to this location everyone at the counter is rude and speaks in a condensing tone. If they hate their job so much, why are you there. I'm beginning to think someone stole my packages before they even left the post office, thus why there is no further tracking after they were received and processed. Very frustrating and disappointing to say the least. And sadly my family may never receive their packages for birthday and Christmas.

They have at least 1 or 2 people available to assist, in addition to the separate line for package pick up. I must admit the staff is pretty courteous and hospitable and I like their attitude when it comes to assisting customers. The only issue is that they sometimes get backed up, especially when there are a ton of people needing any services earlier in the day. They have a decent amount of parking, but there are times when I have had to stalk people for a spot. They have ample space if you need to assemble packages on site, which is nice. The postage kiosk is a good option to have, too. All in all, avoid the rush of first thing in the morning, utilize the drop off area or counter for pre-paid postage. Otherwise, be prepared to encounter some wait time.

By and large, the people that work here are very cordial.. I wouldn't say they go over the top of being friendly, but they get the job done. And for a service-based establishment, that's the best I can hope for. Like I mentioned before, the lines can be very long first thing in the morning, as they open a half hour earlier than my usual one at seven hills. But the nice thing is if you already have stuff that is pre-postaged, you can usually just walk up to the counter and hand it to them. Bottom line? It's a post office, plain and simple. I will continue to use this unless something drastic changes.

Mailing purchases home from Las Vegas…read more.. My roommate is a typical female... She over packed. Maybe I'm like a guy because I bring the necessities... Four pairs of socks, one pair of flip flops, four shirts, etc. She brought (besides the basics) a pair of shorts, a skirt, a pair of sandals, concealer, eyebrow pencil, a hot water maker, instant coffee, a cup, etc. LOL! So - after we shopped at Trader Joe's, she realized that she didn't have enough space in her suitcase. I offered to carry her purchases in my super large backpack, but she refused. I offered to take her to a dollar store so she could get a cheap duffle bag to check through, but she said she didn't want to carry anything extra because she recently had shoulder surgery. I told her what Peter Y. does. He mails his omiyage home. She thought about it for a while and decided she wanted to do that. She went to the bell desk and got Medium sized Flat Rate boxes. She actually wanted the medium boxes with self-adhesive sides. She asked where the nearest post office was - a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Hah! Of course, the medium sized boxes were too small and the bell desk didn't have the type with self-adhesive sides - so she needed to buy tape anyway. Of course, the post office that was a 15-minute walk was closed for renovations! OMG! So, I used my Android phone (she has an Apple phone which cannot search and doesn't have the current location on it) to find the second closest post office where she got large sized Flat Rate boxes. Then, I drove her to buy a permanent marker and sealing tape. After we packed one large sized Flat Rate box, my Android phone directed me to this little post office on Bonanza Street. It's inside a store called Sun Drugs. They close between 1pm and 1:30pm for lunch, so plan your visit wisely. The good things about this post office was that: 1. there's free shared parking in the open lot and 2. there was no line. The not so good thing was that the female worker wasn't able to weigh the box. We just wanted to know how much the box weighed - even though we stuffed the box until the top was curved and not flat anymore... Haha! Oh, well... Thanks to Peter Y. for the great suggestion! We will be better prepared next time!
