Hey yall! Right near by where I am, I got in, it took 3-5 mins, and I was out! I mailed a letter for .78 cent although the employee said it will take 4 days...sometimes things get there quicker! I'll be using usps all the time now I know where it is! I went to UPSA THE OTHER day, they charged me $1.50 or $1.78 for the same thing which is fine! It's all about convenience. Small location, not your normal looking post office. All packaging is fully stalked besides slips for shipping addresses. This is a USPS outlet but it is not like a full post office. Meaning there is only 1 person working behind the counter and they have a limited number of supplies. The staff is ALWAYS pleasant, when I have gone in, and it's much easier than going to a large post office and waiting in a long line. read more

Was in the midst of a 4 and a 1/2 hour wait at the DMV (lucky me) when I remembered I still had to mail out some packages I had brought with me. I looked up the nearest Post Office and this is what popped up. It's actually a really dinky space in a strip mall just a few doors down from a colossal Ross Department Store. It's a very small and old space. Like a bit-of-a-time-warp old. The counter looks like it could probably accommodate 2 employees side by side at most. When I walked in I had maybe 4 people in front of me and the guy behind the counter moved through them pretty fast. Service wasn't friendly, but not terrible either. The guy just seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but there. My time here was brief and underwhelming. The location was what worked for me on this occasion and that would honestly be the only reason I'd come here again. I've definitely experienced better, but it will do in a pinch. 2 stars. read more

I know it's just the post office but it should be an American staple piece. Clean, Modern, Friendly and filled with glorious advertising..... Nope. 0 Stars for Cleanliness- It was kinda grimy inside and definitely not neat and full. 0 Stars for Speed of service- Seriously with size of the USPS budget they offer ONE teller this time of year. When you finally open, at 10am you know there will be a line. There should be 2 tellers in the holiday season. One taking care of customers with lots of packages. One taking care of small purchases like stamps, pickups, single packages and keeping the lobby clean and full. 0 Stars for Advertising- There are NO big priced signs for their big bread winner Priority Mail. No posted delivery times for the holidays. The cardboard container for envelopes was priced but not full or thought out. 1 Star for ....... at least having Priority Mail Envelopes behind the counter. If you are worried about "theft" when you process packages, scan them for your logo. read more

There's NO Kiosk and it's a 1 man operation. Stand in line at your own risk or head to another u.s. post office station. The DMV has met its match here without the "now serving .." letter and number turn announcement, the place will both eat up your time and value literally. If you just need to renew the PO Box fee from another branch, they won't do it, and you best bet is have a Latonia clerk lady at the University branch down the block on Maryland, she'll expedite the line and service hooking you up to send you on your way. It's unfortunate the lane snakes all the way to the back at this location while the only postal worker behind the counter fraternises on "how's your day?" -type conversation from one customer to the next to restart that good mood feeling. Hope the branch's postmaster manager is reading this but nevertheless, good luck to all going, bring food, a fold-up stool, a book and/or your phone for multimedia. Had to return a package here. The gentleman who helped me at the front was not accommodating and lied to me saying he did not have any pens or sharpies. How do you not have a pen here? Don't you have to write things down on packages? Why lie? I had to go to the boba shop next door to get a pen. Never coming here again! Terry is definitely missed at this location. She ran a tight, efficient ship and, even with a long line, there was never very long of a wait. Carleena, on the other hand, always operates with a line and it's always a long, extended wait with very little movement. After today, I'll be using another location. I'm writing this review while standing in line at this post office and in about twenty minutes, two people have been helped and Carleena is in the back getting coached on how to use a machine that was just delivered, as a line of nine people wait for service. read more

Although the door says the hours are 10am to 4pm, be cautious...because they close randomly!!! I came at 1:50 on a Thursday and there was a line of people outside a closed post office with handwritten note that said they were closed for lunch until 2:10. Really?!? I completely respect closing for lunch, but this should be advertised not randomly chosen when the clerk wants to. What kind of business customer service is this?! my package was already running late then the day it's supposed to come they say they can't get into the mailbox. after 3 days with no update i asked for an investigation and after 3 more days they called me back and told me to come in the next day to pick my mail up. of course when i get there it's not there. they tell me it's probably out on the truck. why would they hold my mail without telling me, then tell me come pick it up just to send it out anyways? they never know what's going on, they never answer the phone, it's always something with this post office if i could give negative stars i would. read more

This is a tiny location in a strip mall near Ross and La Bonita Market. It's very busy- mostly senior clients who probably live in the area (regulars). There is usually one person at the desk (which explains the "closed for lunch" policy). There are convenient saturday hours, but it closes at 1 pm, so get here early. If you can stand waiting a bit, it's worth coming here, since there are so few in the area. (The one across UNLV is mon-friday only.) Mailboxes are to the right as you walk in the door. There is a dropbox in front of the little outpost, if you just need to drop off something that's already posted/stamped. read more

CLOSED FOR LUNCH!!! It was Wednesday at 1:20 in the afternoon, the sun was out and my wife and I got way too much swag at the Heli Expo. Now we couldn't get everything into our luggage, (yes we tried) so we decided to head to the nearest post office and get a flat rate box to ship stuff back home. Now we all know that if it fits then it ships, and this was actually my first time ever using this wonderful system. Now I can't lie, I was a little excited to see how much stuff I could fit into these boxes. So we got onto Yelp and looked up the local post office. Found It!! It was only a couple of miles away from the convention center and then it would be a quick drive to the airport. So we pull up to the post office, walk up to the door and notice there is a sign on the door saying they are closed for lunch and will be back at 2:00. The door was open, so we walked inside and they didn't have any boxes or for that matter they didn't have anything that was accessible while they were at lunch. So this meant that we either had to wait 40 minutes until they were done with lunch or go somewhere else. What a pain! read more

Came in 1 minute before their lunch and was told to leave. I had my package ready with label but... "HEY! WE'RE ARE CLOSED. HE'S THE LAST PERSON IN LINE" However, the woman behind me stayed and when I drove by to exit the shopping plaza I see she was being helped by her. This Post Office location is so small. They are only open between 10am-4pm on weekdays, closed all day Sat. There is no drop box for after hour mailing, and no Priority boxes available either. To top it off, they close for lunch between 1-2pm everyday. So they are only open for 5 hours each day. Is there only one person who works here? That's the only reason why I can think they would have to close for lunch. And even then, 30 mins would do it. If you have a PO Box here, the lobby isn't open 24 hrs. They close it at 10pm. So that means someone comes back to lock up. They come back at 10pm but they can't open any earlier to 10am? read more

Halina is the rudest employee. I went to send a small envelope package and I used the flat rate box label. I've used them before. Halina said I couldn't use it and removed it. In the meantime she ripped my envelope. So asked if she was going to give me a new one because she ripped mine. Halina told me no I can buy one though. Really!! At the N.E. corner of Desert Inn and Eastern, just a couple of doors down from Ross and behind the Starbucks on the corner is a small US Post Office. It's a retail unit that from the outside doesn't look like much. The PO box area is a little worn and tired looking, and the big metal door that covers the main section doesn't do much to make the place inviting. And yes, there's typically a line of 3-5 people when you step inside. But that line moves fast thanks to a USPS employee named DeDe who really knows her stuff. USPS employees like her used to be a common thing, now they are a rarity. She will get you in, get you what you need, and get you on your way pretty quickly. And you get it all without attitude, although I don't think I'd want to irritate her as she's not the type you wanna mess with. This location is a diamond in the rough, and when you need a Post Office and don't want to be standing around watching another episode of the slow and the clueless you go here. Things just get done here without fuss. And that's why I like it so much. 4 VERY strong Stars for this one. read more

ITS HARD TO SHIP A FLAT RATE BOX WITHOUT THE BOX Realizing that our two bag limit for carry-on items was going to be difficult to keep, we decided that we should ship a box home. Not a lot of stuff, and nothing important, just some documents and swag from the convention we attended. And some sandals, soap, hotel lotions, etc. Decided to leave the alcohol behind. I hope someone at the auto rental place enjoys the vodka because we put it in the front seat for them. Next to the dirty car door they rented us. Unfortunately, after finding this location of USPS we stopped by and it was closed up. Lunch from 1-2 is fine but they had NO supplies available inside. Perhaps I'm spoiled here in Walnut Creek. Our USPS has supplies and stickers, tape, pens... all sorts of goodies and most available after-hours, as they are located in the area with P.O. Boxes. Boxes for flat-rate shipping are always available at the home office. And they don't close for lunch. Of course this is not the case while on vacation. Thanks a lot, USPS. Now we get to drive around some more. If your location is too small to stay open for lunch, perhaps it's not absolutely necessary to keep it open at all. Especially as the federal government is trying to cut USPS hours anyhow. read more

This office is a disaster. The office team is highly efficient, professional, friendly but hopelessly understaffed. Expect a wait time of 30 minutes. A couple of times their equipment broke down and they had to send their customers home. The walls didn't see a fresh code of paint in years, they don't sell anything but stamps and three sizes of shipping boxes. Need to fill out a custom declaration? Bring your own pen. read more

Terry the front counter clerk was very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! I was in the store by 2:50pm which is 10 minutes before closing on Saturdays preparing parcels to be shipped for my customers that I have waiting on merchandise and she told me "Well since your not ready we're closing and you won't be able to ship your items today". I know that is FALSE and I'm sure her reasoning was because she didn't wanna stay at work any longer than closing time.
