Hello I just want to share my very bad and disapointing experience in this place. First, the customer service is horrible. 3 weeks ago I was waiting for a box to arrive to my address but I never recieved it. We went to the post office everyday for a week to ask for an update on my package and the manager would make up excuses and keep saying she would look for it. It was never found and just told me it was probably stolen. When all this time the tracking number would read that it was inside this post office. To me this is ridicoulus and unprofesional. read more

by far, the rudest staff employed by the government, this is very obvious they are there to collect a paycheck and nothing else. Most of them have not been trained. I do not take getting your personal mail to you very serious. In fact, I recently had a bunch of mail stolen and the protocol is is that there isnt one.. my four-year-old grandson could do better than any of these employees could ever do read more

It looked closed by the time I got there (well the doors were closed to the service windows), but I was able to drop the letter in through the mail slot in the back. Because of traffic, I got there after 5 pm. Decatur is a mess! And because it was dark I didn't see the outside dtop boxes until I was exiting the parking lot. There were 2 other cars the lot. I visited this location to drop off prepaid packages for my small business. During my visit, I used the USPS blue collection box as I normally do. These metal drop boxes often make loud noises when the handle snaps back, and at times small packages become temporarily wedged in the chute. It is common for the flap to require a couple of attempts before the package fully drops. For my last package, I believed the size might exceed what the box could easily accept, so I approached the front counter. The package had already been scanned at the self-service kiosk, and I had my receipt. However, the clerk at the desk refused to take the package. I returned to the self-service drop box and was ultimately able to place the package inside. As I was finishing, an employee suddenly rushed toward me and yelled for me to stop. His tone was aggressive, and he stood extremely close to me in a way that felt intimidating and unprofessional. It appeared he was reacting to the noise made by the metal drop box, which is normal given its design and age. This interaction was alarming and unacceptable. While I understand the equipment can be loud, there was no reason for the employee to approach me in such a confrontational manner. A calm explanation using a respectful tone and neutral body language would have been the appropriate response. read more

What could improve? Everything. I come in at around 4:48 pm to send out a package. This room is packed so I go to the next room over (less than 10 feet). I start filling out my package info and I look up and this door is locked. Minutes before it's 5 PM. I ask numerous employees to help and tell them I was here well before 5. None of them make any attempt to help me and say there's nothing they can do despite me being here before 5. They're refusing to help me or take my business. Delivery from this post office is dismal. The Garside office at 1801 S Decatur Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89102. The postman never leaves attempted delivery notices and lies about it being left at the post office per customers request. They have lost 2 deliveries for me in the last 3 weeks!!! Been going on for years. Complaints, in person, since they refuse to answer their phones, is an exercise in futility. They always say, we will speak to the mail man, and service never gets better. The deliveries just disappear! I have now started to tell vendors to deliver UPS and I will pay the extra cost. USPS is worthless. It now takes 9 days to mail a letter from Vegas to NY and vise versa. Horrendous service. DC read more

I showed up 5 mins before closing. Manager shut the door IN MY FACE. I asked him if I can mail my letter and he said no. We close 5 mins before. And I told him it's not 5 yet? He said " I always close 5 mins before" . I begged him to please be a decent person and just let me mail something important for work. The door guy asked the lady if I could stay and she said no. Horrible horrible service. The waiting lines are insane. I've been several times and I talk about 45-60 min wait lines. Today I came for tracking for shipping is paid $85!!!!!! for but has had no tracking info so suspiciously load and after waiting in line I was simply told to wait and the pick up line, another wait. When it was finally my turn at the pick up line the same person Diamond opened the window who just sent me to this line!! To then hear there's no tracking info and I "have to wait a few more days". I suggested they add tracking to the pick up window list so people don't wait twice in line. No shame they have here. read more

I had a pleasant time, the lines moved, the staff was courteous even early in the morning. The convenience of this location is great. I like the fact that there is a drive up area right in front so you can drop off mail and you don't have to get out of the car. Ample parking is always a plus. Oh yeah, and clear box tape rolls are $3.99 lol. read more

Well I can honestly say, I love this USPS office. I'm no stranger to the USPS, but when you get outstanding service you just have to give them kudos. I walked in and a wonderful woman employee helped me today at 10:30AM. I asked her is she could please educate me on exactly what I needed to do to ship a package internationally. She took the time and showed me step by step how to fill out the form. She also informed me about my options to used my own box or their boxes. This is your pretty typical post office. I thought it was sweet that the locals seemed to know one of the employees well because he always jokes and is nice to them. I believe his name was Darnell. They have a self serve machine that I wasn't quite ready to try but seemed pretty convenient for those brave enough time figure out how to work it lol They have cards here as well if you forgot to grab one for any presents you might be sending as well as mail boxes if you're in need for one of those. read more

The worst USPS ever! I feel sorry that I belong to this location . They are very unprofessional, racists, rude, no customer services, nothing positive in this place. Too many issues in this place that need to be fix. I hope I'm not the only one. I'll definitely open another formal complaint . Pick up guy is extremely rude. He never said hi just straight to identification and what do you want. Supervisor is just the perfect sample for them . So very disappointed on what they do every day for our community! Yeah I hear people always raggin' about the post office, but you know what gang? The postal service has the best deal anywhere in the world! You can ship stuff all over the world, it is cheaper to use the the US Postal Servie, then any of those private shipping companies - FedEx, UPS, DHL.........etc. Last month while I was in Las Vegas, I did a very quick trip just to watch my beloved Hawaii Warriors play football against UNLV. While I was in Las Vegas, I decided to go up with just a duffle bag for my luggage, as I was basically away for just 2.5 days. As a professional traveler, I like to travel light, and if I take something with me on a trip..........I'll be sure to use it! Don't you just hate it when you over-carry stuff & not use it? I've learned over the years from all my travels for work to "travel efficiently", and I hate carrying extra stuff.........because all you're doing is lugging excessive weight! How does the Post Office come into play? Well, on my trip I decided to got to Trader Joe's (It's a Hawaii thing.........we don't have TJ in Hawaii). But that's not it gang..........sure, I could have carried some of the stuff I bought home (which I did), but due to security, & TSA rules.........if you buy anything "liquid" or "paste" it cannot be over 3 oz. when you do any kind of carry on. Catch my drift??? So after buying a few bottles of cookie butter for my sweetie (she likes that stuff), I realized I could not carry that onto the plane with me, so the next best thing to do.............yes gang! Go to the US Post Office, get one of them free - "Flat Rate" Boxes, load up all your junk that you bought (and make sure you pack it carefully if it's fragile), then tape it up.........and ship it out to yourself! In this case.........back to da 808! Whaaaalaaaah! Not only was it cheaper to ship (even cheaper than paying for airline luggage, which usually runs from $25 to $35 dollars), but you don't have to carry it home either! What a smart Hawaiian I am 'eh!!!!! Lol! So if you folks ever load up on omiyagi when you travel..............may I suggest this method to work around the dilemma you're in. Just an FYI.......... Large Flat Rate Box cost only $17.90 to ship. If it fits........you can ship! Medium Flat Rate Box cost only $12.65 to ship. And again..........if it fits........you can ship! This Post Office also has a automated kiosk, which is nice, because to can still ship items out when the post office is closed, or say you come here on a Sunday to ship something out (when the post office is closed). In my case...........I shipped my box out on Sunday, and used the kiosk! No problemo gang! Easy bruddah! Winning!!!! What a great service that the US Postal Service provides! MAHALO! :D read more

Needing to mail a letter and when you need a stamp Murphy reminds us of life happening and not having any stamps. Fast forward to the reason for visiting. Prior to relocating to Henderson this used to be the post office I visited. It was close to my house and open 24/7. When I went in the building I decided to get stamps with a teller rather than the automated machine. I was also seeking the new scratch and sniff ice cream stamps. There was no line and I was grateful for that. In the conversation with the mail teller she delivered me the bad new that the fun scratch and smell stamps will not be unveiled and available at the post office until June 17. That being a bummer. I did find some other stamps that are forever but they are not scratch and sniff. The mail clerk was helpful in providing the many types of stamps and taking payment from me. This was a great visit to the post office since I did not have to wait in line, got extra stamps of defeat Murphy, and found out some new information. read more

My mom always said "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it!" Well I have nothing but good things to say about this location and their workers. I bought a bunch of stuff from Trader Joes and wanted to ship a bunch home so I didn't have to carry it back. I don't know how we got on the subject of how I look like Jet Li (at that time I had shorter hair and I was leaner) but it was joke after joke. They helped me pack up my stuff and even gave me tape for my box left from a previous customer. The guy must of been a Tetris master they way he got it all to fit. Got my goodies at Trader Joes, help with shipping it back home and next stop as In N Out... how much better was my day going to be?!?!?!?! Smallish parking area bumps up against the GIANT Indoor Swap Meet lot, so for a couple extra feet you can even park sideways if you want! They do Passports, all the usual stuff. So shipping something from vegas to hawaii you guess right was crazy expensive. But it was still cheaper than paying the overage charge so oh well...I'm so naive and forget that you also gotta buy the box, buy tape and pay for the shipping oh boy.. that's why it added up. This location seems to move quickly and the reps are pretty friendly and knowledgeable. The lady was able to give me price difference on which ever shipping I preferred. read more

The associates are always SUPER friendly, extremely funny, and very effective in keeping the line down to the best of their ability. Great and fast happy clerks. They take a lot of crap from people that come in and are totally unprepared but they get the job done. The line gets long at times but they move quick and have a great system to weave you back in between transactions when you need more time or to make changes. I don't know if any other offices do this but I always come to this one. Located by fantastic swap meet as well. Great location to buy and ship in one area. read more
