A major perk to this post office is its parking lot! Other than that, the inside is a typical post office with PO boxes, a spot to assemble packages, and small waiting room to with up to three desks for mailing your packages. It's a funky layout for sure, and pretty awkward to wait in line, especially with the current social distancing situation. When I arrived there was no one in line (OMG!) around 11:15am, but by the time I had put my packages together there were 5 people ahead of me with only one person ringing up. To be honest, it moved fast, but that was because the people ahead of me actually filled out their packages correctly and were efficient in the paying process. Woohoo! Their stock selection of boxes, tape, cards, mailers, etc was pretty slim pickings. I'm sure on other days they are full, but I don't feel like there are as many options like at other post offices. read more

I'm glad to have this post office near my home. They've got ample parking and friendly employees. No complaints, but one suggestion: I'd like to see a stamp machine located outside, near the PO boxes. This would cut down on the line, and make stamps available during hours the main facility is closed. By the way, if you're as dim as the simpleton from LA (see review below) complaining about "socialized" mail delivery, you may want to check the online postage rate calculator (http://postcalc.usps.gov/) so you don't drool on yourself in line for half an hour, waiting to find out how much it will cost to mail a book back to the state you live in. read more

Really? Reviewing a post office? Yes, because the public should know about this place. It's the absolute worst. 1. The parking lot is horrendous: tiny, full of potholes, and barely accessible from Broadway (southbound) or an unmarked side street that is too small for two-way traffic. 2. This place is understaffed. All. The. Time. Monday morning? Thursday afternoon? Doesn't matter, I've tried every approach to outwit the guaranteed line 10+ people deep that winds it's way to the door. Don't go on weekends. Just don't - you have better ways to spend your entire afternoon. 3. It's slow. I mean REALLY slow. Yes, all Post Offices could use some turbo jets lit underneath some butts to get things moving, but this place takes the cake. The lady just wants to mail a card...sell her a stamp and move on already! This place could really benefit from a postage kiosk where you can weigh/print your own postage and then drop it off. The worst post office I've visited so far. I don't have an issue if the wait is long. A long wait is pretty typical with other USPS locations and most of the time, (hate to say it) it's usually a customer and low staff count that holds up the line. But bitchiness, I can't tolerate. The male and female clerks (see them often) in the front, have that look in their eyes as if their souls have been sucked out. If you don't like your job, seriously find a passion and do something else. Stop dragging others down to your misery so you can go home with some semblance of success at work. This place is unbelievably rude. I went here today and was in line when a woman came out directing people and asking what we were there for. She never once told me I was in the "wrong line". Then I had a bunch of people trying to cut me and the lady upfront clearly saw I was waiting but decided to allow 2 people to cut me. I finally took a stand for myself and then she gave me a major attitude. These people that work here should be fired! I will never step foot in this hell hole again. Garbage!! They lie to their PO Box holders. Went in there trying to renew my box for months...but no "payment slip" was in my PO Box. Go to check it...it's locked and they say I have to pay a late fee even after going in there multiple times trying to renew. Ridiculous. The front clerk responded "it's happened to about 50 people...our slip lady doesn't stay on top of" WTF?!?! How is that my problem?!?! Somebody needs to be fired at that location if not EVERYBODY. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not visit this post office if you can help it. The clerks are EXTREMELY rude. When I gently complained about their service, Erebestine told me " You can always go to UPS or FedEx." Way to go USPS, your company is in the Red and your employees are actively telling them to go elsewhere. I would rather pay more money to UPS or FedEx if it means I will be treated with RESPECT. That being said, the woman behind the counter who helped out was so fast and efficient, gotta give this location another star. Sure it's the post office and you go in knowing exactly what to expect. A line whether there are 1 to 3 clerks working and it being a typical weekday or the day after a holiday...and of course the Gov employees are pleasant enough while really you just don't want them to know your name (cuz they know the address) or go postal with you in attendance...but in an effort to rid our country of this socialized ineffective mailing nonsense, I've decided to add some constructive criticism to the mix. First off, post prices please!!...if you have nothing to hide I'd appreciate knowing that I'm about to spend $12.40 or whatever to send one used book to my sister in Cali. Now this has nothing to do with how much I love my family or are they really worth it...because of course they are. It's just a simple courtesy that might save me 30 minutes and forced me to look into some other method of book travel. Viable options could have been FedEx, UPS, horse and buggy, stowing it illegally on some other passengers check-in next time I go to LA. You get the picture. Secondly, and I'll stop for now, but this isn't McD's and I don't need stamps with all my orders, ala the USPS equivalent of supersizing. Besides if I did need some stamps, I'd probably have reminded myself countless times during the 30 minutes I hung in line..i'm not usually a ranter and may be preaching to the choir, but we all know you can never get enough of a good thing and have something 'Real' to say about the USPS in the same sentence. One clerk, long line, ill prepared customers. Long line out the door, one clerk at the desk trying to check people out. But instead she teaching mailing 101. People are coming in with unwrapped, un-boxed stuff to ship with the address scribbled on a piece of scrap paper. It holds everyone up, while we watch and wait for them to get it all together. While this is going on other uniformed employee wanders up from the back room, giving false hope that they are going to start checking people out but they just do a quick lap and go back to the back room. I have painfully been to this location a number of times - same routine every time . The awesome WPA painting in the lobby can only entertain one for so long. Click N Ship!!! Consistently understaffed. Have stopped by this post office probably 6 times over 3 months and every time there is a line at least 6 people deep with only one clerk working the front desk. A self-postage machine as is available at other locations would be a considerable help to this location. I came here to...mail things. The first try was on a Tuesday around lunchtime and the line was honestly 15 people long. I was on a time crunch so I had to leave, saddened from my failed mailing attempt. I went back today (again a Tuesday) around 2PM and I was 4th in line and was in and out quickly. The postal workers were pleasant and polite and the gentleman I worked with excitedly indulged my need to look for "fun" stamps. They had the packaging materials I was looking for (flat rate boxes) and they also have a variety of other items for your basic postal needs. It's not a large office, so they don't have greeting cards or any of the other fancy things you sometimes see, but it gets the job done. read more

Oh man--what a whirlwind. I am an emerging artist in Denver and need my fragile artwork to be handled properly. I came into this location and at first, I was pleased to see there was only one other customer aside from me waiting in line. The lady with purple hair that was working at one of the counters was literally one of the most rude people I've ever met. I work in customer service, so I totally get what a long day feels like and how it can wear on you, but it is absolutely unacceptable to be rude to customers that need your help. I told her that I'd like to ship my artwork and she said "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" and I repeated myself. She then reacted with "I don't need to know what it is--where is the information?!" again in a very rude tone-- I was flustered by that point and asked her if there is a specific way I need to do this as I'm pretty new to shipping larger pieces like this. She handed me a permanent marker and made me go to the back of the line and start over, which would have literally taken 10 seconds if she would have let me just do it right there (now there were about 8 people in front of me in line). This was on top of a few other things she said with a condescending tone. When I finished writing in my information and stopped shaking from being so angered by the purple haired lady's inability to even do the basics of what is expected of ANY customer service associate in the world, I luckily was helped by another associate named Alexander. He was extremely helpful, patient, and kind. Literally the polar opposite of the first lady I had to deal with. He helped me out majorly and made me feel at least like I could come back and use USPS someday. USPS, please give this guy a raise-- he was so helpful and by the time I reached him, I was almost in tears. I actually left with a smile on my face because all the customers saw how rude the lady was and let me get my place closer to the front of the line and it reminded me that with each 1 rude, toxic person--there are 10 amazing, kind people! So to sum this story up-- USPS please hire more people like Alexander (You NEED more employees like him!) and NOT like the lady with the purple hair! read more

I have gone to this post office a handful of times. I like the old building. The lady at the front, Kim, has always been so helpful and cheerful. I purchased postage stamps for my save the dates here and she was genuinely excited for me. I sent my invitations today, one week after losing my aunt, and that was so difficult. I got upset about the postage and was mostly crying for being sad that I had one less invitation to send. Kim was calm and organized and allowed me to be emotional. Every time I go there she is happy and real. I can tell she is not everybody's cup of tea, but after today all I wanted to do was hug her and thank her for helping me get out my wedding invitations correctly. read more

No priority mail supplies when you walk in, so you have to wait in line, then ask an employee for an envelope/label only to be told to go back out of line (but wait to the side) then get back in line, sort of, to then be yelled at by an unhappy woman that knows d$#m well that you were told to wait until the next person was finished. Very busy location. But always efficient. Very impressed with the staff. I have a few e- commerce businesses so I'm always coming in with a ton of packages ( sometimes 100's in a single day) While other locations have given me grief this one is always helpful. The majority of the staff know me at this point and always make an effort to great me. I had an issue with a different location scanning 40-50 of my packages as delivered instead of accepted, which in return had Ebay refunding customers unless I could show proof of delivery. The supervisor at this location actually took the time to help me out with this.... tracking all of the packages individually so that I could turn it in and get my money back. I want to make it clear that it was not this location that misscanned my packages. The location that did wasn't very helpful at all. If I can make it I always go to this location even if it 10-15 minutes out of the way. read more
