USPS at 7555 W Amherst Ave Denver, CO 80227: excellent service, very nice clerks' customer service…read moreand professional managers, ready to help you in a minute when having issues, for example with packages delivery. Few weeks ago, January 2025, I could not open a large mailbox to pick up a merchandise box ordered online. I went to USPS office and reported the issue to a clerk person who talked immediately to Mr. William and Mr. Zachary. Mr. William came few hours later to my home, fixed the mailbox key, and I was able to get my package. I would like to thank you all of them for the great help/ service provided to me!

I sat and waited for over thirty minutes for an associate to find my mail for me. The apartment…read morecomplex I live in is physically destroying and completely redoing the mailboxes for the entire complex . My complex told me it would take them two full weeks to complete and that we need to pick up our mail at the local post office (this one.) the clerk who helped me was really reluctant to help me at all and then took quite literally over 30 minutes to find my mail for me, no packages. When she returned she didn't say thank you for waiting or anything of that nature. she told me that's how long it takes to find the mail so next time I really shouldn't come pick it up this way.... After I already explained to her and her supervisor what the situation was and why the mail was undeliverable. Which the manager agreed he was aware of. I was fine waiting until the clerk quite literally passive aggressively told me next time not to come pick up mail cause it takes her so long. Unprofessional and rude! I kindly explained to her that that doesn't change anything for me I will still need to be back next week to get my mail as it is undeliverable due to my physical mail box, and I thanked her for her time and said I'll see you next week. Very frustrating experience here and I don't feel it was necessary. Going forward I'll be avoiding this post office

Uptown, Northwest

We are all standing outside waiting for the downing st location to open . It's 12:15 pm on Saturday…read morebefore holidays . Still no one has opened the doors !

This USPS facility is mainly a sorting center not open to the public, but you do need to go there…read moreto pick up packages if they required a signature and could not be delivered (or if the carrier didn't bother to ring your doorbell). The procedure is awful. First of all, there is absolutely no parking. There is an employee-only lot which is almost always full, even if you want to brave the "you will be towed" warnings. Street parking on Downing is rarely available and there is no parking on 16th Avenue. I often end up parking at the retail Post Office on Marion Street and then walk the two blocks to this location. In the past you then came to a locked door, rang a one-way intercom, gave your name (wondering if anyone had heard you), waited forever, and maybe then someone would appear with your package. Things are now much worse because the retail Post Office on Marion Street has been closed for months due to problems with that building. All of the people who have P.O. boxes at Marion Street must now come to this USPS Annex building to collect their mail. No retail services are offered here so the entire neighborhood has to go to the Post Offices at the Civic Center, downtown, or in North Cherry Creek for any other postal needs. The one concession made by the Postal Service is that regular window hours are now being kept. There is only one clerk on duty and there is always a line. Most of the P.O. box mail appears to have only been sorted into groups of boxes, so the clerk has to go through tray after tray looking for the mail for a specific box. This can take 10-15 minutes per person. If someone with a package delivery issue shows up, that can take 20-30 minutes or longer. There's a very small lobby in front of the service window that now has four broken-down chairs and room for three or four people to stand. I've waited as long as 40 minutes to pick up the mail from my box in this cramped area. The whole situation is absolutely miserable for both the people waiting and for the poor clerk. USPS management does not care. Do they even understand what a customer is?
