No such luck! Turns out there was only 1 person working behind the counter and apparently a high maintenance customer with her. After about 15 minutes a man came out, asked if anyone was picking up mail and helped one of the people who said yes. Then he disappeared into the back again without helping the other person who was picking up. After about 15 minutes more another man came out and managed to help 2 people while the lady was still helping the 3 people crowded around her window. Then it was my turn and the man who helped me was very apologetic about the wait. His name was Ayman and he labeled my package and sold me stamps in under 5 minutes. I think its funny that after every transaction they have a rating system where you pick one of 3 options about your experience. I rated him the best because it really wasn't his fault. As I was leaving I noticed two other men had come out to help the long line of customers (consistently 8-10 people). I guess they all take lunch at the same time - early. This location has PO boxes, a self serve kiosk, and greeting cards and mailing supplies for sale. They're at the end of the strip mall but parking really isn't an issue. Just make sure you have plenty of time if you visit this location.

She was going to charge me $8.75 instead of $1.90 per envelope. I had close to 85 envelopes to send. On the other hand, the USPS station on West Arapahoe gave me the correct rate, including the correct postage for Canada. The agent at the Dayton location was going to charge me $30 for Canada and maybe $15-$20 to send something to Hawaii. It's crazy how some people think they know what they don't know, and don't know what they don't know.

On April 24, we received 3-4 pieces of mail. Knowing this could not be possible for the duration we were gone, I attempted to contact this post office on April 25, to see where our mail was. Per my cell phone log, I called the post office between 10 AM and 2 PM TWELVE times and every time the phone rang until it went to voice mail. Not one employee picked up the phone in 4 hours. The held mail was delivered on April 25, only a day later than the requested date, but what is so hard about getting it right? This is not the first time this has happened to us. Not to mention other poor service from this post office (full mail bins, mail returned as "undeliverable," non-working kiosks, etc.). And not one person could pick up the phone? I hope the ringing drove the employees crazy. Typical government entity. Any entity w/little to no competition is a recipe for poor service because they don't have to improve. And the employees act like they don't care. But keep raising those postage prices! I've been using UPS for sending packages as I want to give the post office as little business as possible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this post office if you can.

Absolute nightmare at the Smoky Hill USPS. I had a confirmed redelivery request, yet my package…read morenever showed. I made two attempts to pick up the package at the designated blue door area. Both days the clerk refused to provide assistance and both days she said service area was closed--even though the post office was open and customers were in queue!!! On the 2nd day, when I asked for assistance and clarification for why the pickup service (blue door) was closed--it was only 930am... the same clerk walked through the blue door (pick up area) and CLOSED THE DOOR IN MY FACE AND WALKED AWAY! No signs indicated package pickup was not open, no courtesy, just attitude. What should've been a 5‑minute pickup turned into over an hour in the general line. People have bad days. Holiday rush or not, this level of rudeness and disregard is disgusting and unacceptable. I hate even giving 1 star.

I asked for Michelle and she was there so she helped me. We have experience with this type of shipping so we were fine. And then the priority mail international. She gave me more information and that helps as I can be more prepared when I come. I also obtained more shipping labels and envelopes so I can be prepared for the next trip. The price was ok. I mean compared to purchasing an airline ticket it works :)

Anytime someone came in the locked door she would express how inconvenienced she was. If a customer had a question or change she would scald the customer and tell them "well you should have told me that before xyz, now I have to do xyz because of that" She claimed to only have x amount of money in her register and could not take cash but then asked the next customer for cash and was able provide change for more then she claimed to have in register. She was refusing to take credit cards. In addition location has been out of stamps for months now. If you want customers here I would not keep the women you had staffed this Saturday .... "I hope you have a good day when you leave our of here." Meaning, get out of the building. The woman told her that she hoped that she had a good rest of the day and walked out. After the woman walked out of the building, the female employee behind the counter yelled out, "WENCH". I could not believe my ears, I told her, "that is not nice." She, said, "well, you don't know the way the woman was acting before you came in." I explain to her that to me, that didn't matter. What I saw is the way she treated her and that wasn't nice.:" She took my package and I sincerely told her that I hope that she had a nice day and I left. While in the parking lot I thought about writing this review but wanted to make sure my package left the building first since once they scan the package you cannot get it back from them. Later on that day, I contacted the post office/cpu to talk to the manager/owner and told her about it since I actually have met her before. She said that she was sad to hear that it happened and that it was going to be under new ownership in April 2023. I pray that they hire people with better customer service then.
