The absolute worst post office in the entire city. All of the workers are so rude that I've walked out twice this week.

I have been to this post office for years and have never had a problem until today. An old hateful lady made my partner come in 3 different times to claim a package that was delivered to our shared PO Box. The rude old lady said he wasn't even in the PO Box, which is false. when I came in to claim it she refered to me by name with a sassy little grin. She had sassy remarks and comments the whole interaction. She then tried to sho me away but I had one more errand. So i handed her the piece of paper and she snatched it from me. Then snatched my ID. I asked for my documents and said i was done and would come back because she was being so rude, abusing of her position and un-professional. When i reached for it she moved her hand away like it's some type of game to tease me, A CUSTOMER. So i snatched it right back and she acted surprised. No one needs to be treated that way. she wasted our time on purpose, was rude on purpose and it was un kind of her to discriminate us. she did not treat anyone that way. It felt very much targeted. She needs a re training and so does the manager that follows behind her. read more

Got there at 5:58 PM. Doors were opened and not locked. The attendant aggressively yelled, "We're closed! She's locking the doors now" and pointed behind me and a women appeared to be leisurely walking over from another room to lock the doors for 6:00 closure. My package was a return already postmarked. Worst Post Office ever, this one... but ALL of them and the USPS institution in general are greatly suffering since COVID. I ship a great deal, as part of my business, and often use Priority, Registered and 1st Class Mail. Over the past year year, countless commitments were missed, first class mail some times taking 10-12 days, and 'Lost in system", tracking-wise. I've tried to get help from my local station serving my zip. What I get is long lines, ambivalent attitude, drop-off box inside that has been broken now for almost a year, self-service kiosks (that should be at ALL post offices, but are NOT) that are regularly "down". The last straw was a very valuable package sent Registered Mail, that was left on my porch (these days, we all know the risk of that) and updated falsely to show "left with individual". Frankly, I feel sorry for the employees to an extent... this is a bad mis-management issue. We need new leadership, some business sense, and a massive restructure of this failed institution! read more

Updated review, since I now live within walking distance... Pros: help here is always courteous (especially from the woman with long dark hair, she rocks!), quick, efficient, and if I have questions they are always answered politely. Neutral: sometimes the lines here can be ridiculously long, especially shipping things during the holiday season and you haven't packed something in a US Priority Mail box. Get ready for a bit of a wait. Cons: for some baffling reason, this location seems unable to keep their self-mailing station maintained well enough that it stays operational. I had someone save me 60 seconds of walking when she came out by telling me it was non-operational; I returned the favor by telling her the location at Evans and Holly was working the last time this issue happened here (at Buchtel). Both of us ended up going there and sure enough the machine is working just fine there; helps us both mail packages on a "National Day of Mourning". THAT place is convenient. This place? It's 3 stars when you average things out. Get your act together please, USPS, and get a contractor to fix this machine if you can't handle it yourselves... read more

I have a different opinion than most when it comes to venturing in to a Post Office. With my current job, I'm not in my office on the days I need to mail things and I need to go to the local Post Office to do my business. I'm typically looking to mail items either certified or express depending upon the priority of what I'm working on. Certified is usually best since it arrives within 2-3 days, I get a return receipt and it's not super expensive. During this visit I was able to find all the forms I needed, the man behind the counter was friendly and had a nice sense of humor and helped me complete everything in a timely manner. I had to wait 10+ minutes to complete my transaction and that's not a lot considering I've waited 30+ minutes in the past. This Post Office is easy to locate and has a nice size parking lot. When in the area I would be pleased to return. read more

I always dread getting those slips in the mail that say "Sorry we missed you. You can come pick up the package at this location" The fact of the matter is, being that this is a bureaucratic service, they really don't care much about getting you in and out as quickly as possible, or giving you the friendliest of service. Because like other bureaucratic services, you don't have another option-if you get a package through USPS, you can only pick up that package at a USPS. The last time I was here, I was picking up a package for my brother, who I live with, because he was out of town and I missed the postman being at work for the day. After waiting 40 minutes in a line of 20 people with only 2 clerks working, and working as slowly as possible, I handed over the slip. They asked for a photo ID-I told them it was my brother's, but they told me the only way I could pick it up in that case was to have the same address as on the package on my driver's license. So here's the thing-the address was for my old apartment, which I had just moved out of a month before. I tried to explain this but they absolutely refused. So 40 minutes down the tube to be told I'm SOL. That's right-I'm SOL on picking up a package they couldn't deliver...because I was at work, like most people in the afternoon of a weekday. But hey, again-nothing I can do about it. And they know it. I must say that honestly, the one thing keeping this from being a 1 star review is the fact that they have a automated machine for sending letters and small packages. At least then I don't have to deal with a mopey postal work who could really care less, and it's certainly faster. Yuk. Just yuk. read more

I called about a week ago to find out what I needed to get my passport updated, thankfully. The gentleman let me know that I needed to make an appointment, which I didn't know- take note, appts were a week out when I made mine. If you haven't filled out your forms, get there early and do it before your appointment time. When I arrived, the line was crazy long, but the gentleman accommodated my appointment. He was cool-headed and focused, not flustered by the line or the multiple sighs and sounds of impatience. Once my appointment started, it took about 30 minutes even with a photo. Super impressed with the organized customer service. Not impressed with this location being understaffed. read more

I received a notice this morning that the USPS tried to deliver my package to my home, but I asked them to return and hold it at (my locations) post office. There was never anyone who came and tried to deliver my package, and even if there was, why would I ask them to return it to the post office so that I had to come pick it up?!? Absolutely ridiculous. So now, I have been trying to call them for HOURS and no one will pick up the phone. It says that I'm being transferred to someone but it rings about a dozen times and then hangs up. Did I mention I've been calling for HOURS?? I've called so many times that I've lost count. Now I understand the meaning of the term, "Going Postal." A week ago I mailed a package to Dallas, TX. I was told it would arrive yesterday, November 29th. I've been tracking it on-line. It arrived in Dallas on the 28th but was not delivered to the party in Dallas. On the 29th, unbelievably, it was sent back to Denver from the "distribution center". I called national USPS "customer service" today to find out what happened. I was on hold one hour and five minutes. AN HOUR AND FIVE MINUTES! A disinterested CSR answered and simply read to me the same information I read on-line about the transit of the package. She offered no explanation (other than 'someone musta read the address wrong o'sometin') as to whereabouts of the package. She offered no apology, after I'd told her it was important for the package to have arrived by today. She was robotic and useless. When I told her I'd been on hold over an hour only to hear she could not help, she got combative, saying "we got lottsa people callin'". A glutton for punishment, I then called our local U-Park post office (which was a small feat considering they never answer the phone) and spoke with an equally uninformative and disinterested person. He too offered no apology nor knew the whereabouts of my package, nor cared. When I told him the second package I'd sent that same day (to New York) had arrived at its location, he glibly dismissed our "conversation" by smirking, "hey, ya oughta be glad about that." So much for quality work at the USPS and outstanding "Customer Service". I think the USPS needs to increase the dosage of their personnel's medication. read more

Lady called "Bobby" OVERCHARCHED me and REFUSED to check my international package saying its no more here without checking it. (It was there only which I picked it up after talking to USPS customer service and doing complaint against her.) Explanation: The lady behind the desk named "Bobby" is the worst person ever. She is rude, unfriendly and overcharged me for the first class parcel that I needed to deliver. She forcefully used the mailed cushion cover when I said I don't need it and charged me extra for the first class parcel. The worst is yet to come as below.. I also had an important international package which showed online that it was arrived at this UPSP and which was "undelivered". When I gave "Bobby" the tracking number and status printed, she directly told me that it is already on its way to return back to India and she can not do anything. I was like-- " how can you returned it immediately since it was arrived in the post office just 2 days back and that too undelivered. Is there any way you can check it and let me know anything about it, since it was arrived in your office. She said NO. She also mentioned she need to go to lunch in next 3 minutes. I was very stressed, as the documents were important and I had a deadline to submit it. I went home, call USPS customer service and the person told me that the parcel is still in the same office. Wow!!! I went back and asked that I need to speak with Manager "Trudy". The manager refused to come so the mailman came to help and he easily found the parcel. The address and everything was right and still USPS stated UNDELIVERED. When I asked for complaint/feedback form, the mailman gave the black paper teared. I asked that I need the official form, then he said we don't have one. The manager "Trudy" was available as he was continuously going back and forth to ask her but she refused to come. She did not had the courtesy to come personally to talk for this horrific experience. After reading the other reviews on google, it would not be difficult to note that the international people are treated NOT right, their work not done and/or are overcharged for the services. This place is great. There's usually a line, but it always moves quickly and the staff is very helpful and polite. I'm writing this time because of a particularly good experience with the passport office. When I showed up, I was informed that this office operates only by appointment for passports, but they had a few extra minutes and would be happy to get me in. After all, all I wanted at the time was a photo. I got in immediately and when I told the photographer that I actually needed more than one set (I am applying for a visa as well) they told me that it might be less expensive to go to Costco in the future, but she would be happy to print me an extra set for free. Went to renew my passport today. One of the places in Denver where no appointment is necessary. Got there at 1:10, online hours AND hours inside the post office itself say they are open until 1:30. I approach the clerk and he says he has done too many today and isn't doing anymore. When I pointed to the sign he said its the number of names on the clipboard sign in sheet that determines how many they do and the hours don't mean anything. I spoke to the supervisor who said that once the sheet fills up they can't take anymore. I asked the people in front of me what time they got there and they got on the list at 12:55. What a bunch of baloney. Get there early or go somewhere else if you are trying to get a passport and don't have the time to go there everyday to see if they will assist you even though the hours clearly state they should. read more

At first I thought the call had dropped so I called again and explained my situation again and was hung up on again. The third time I called back to figure out why this guy was hanging up on me and yet again he did it. I can't believe someone answering customer phone calls would think that hanging up is okay.
