I am so over this post office. My package was tracked and posted as delivered only I didn't receive it. I go to my neighbors house to ask if he got it by mistake. It turns out he didn't, but he has also been having trouble with the same post office, getting packages weeks after they are on the truck and getting mail from two streets over. So I am now missing two packages from Ebay and I am expecting one more so lets see if that one turns up. I called the post office to complain and Anthony old me he would all me back after he talked to the driver. That was last Thursday so either the drivers take a long time to return or I am being avoided. Very uncool. Oh yeah and the mail man is rarely the same person two days in a row. Horible Horrible service!!! sent out a letter going to Chula Vista and they have yet to recive!! over 5 days come on! I made the mistake of coming back to this place but I should have learned my lesson. a few years back I mailed out my wedding invitations through here. Stood in line and asked if postage was correct on invites since they were an usual size. Lady at the counter (with heavy accent) said yes and took all 75 of my invites only to have then returned to me for not enough postage. The postal carrier So lazy to ring twice at the door bell , and waited only one minute then left a untraceable notice!! I just want to reiterate whats been said by others. I am unfortunate in that i am stuck with this post office to delivering and receiving my mail. The past three times i've had them put a note on my door telling me to pick up the package at their office. I just want to be clear that they made NO ATTEMPTS to actually ring my door bell and deliver the package. I called 1800 USPS and they were able to rectify the issue and told me that the chino supervisor will give me a call back within 10-15 minutes. Guess what? never happened. The Postal service has one job. Deliver the mail. These guys can't even do that. I submitted a request to hold my mail while I was on vacation. I marked the "will pick up" box on the form. I went to the Chino main office yesterday to pick up said mail. Waited in line, waited 5 or more minutes while the lady who spoke barely understandable English (?) left to look for the mail. She finally returned to tell me she couldn't find the mail! She scribbled a number on a scrap of paper and told me to call tomorrow morning at 9 to "talk to my carrier". I called 4 times and some one finally answered. He left me on hold while he went to look for the mail. He came back and said "I have your mail" in a tone that suggested I was the problem. I told him I would come and pick it up. Rude people. Don't care about their customers. Nothing we can do about it. read more

I have had trouble in the past with Chino Post Office and swore I'd never go back! They are out right liars, unprofessional, and rude! I went against my better judgement and went in this morning to mail a small package. Please understand, it was 9:30 am, no line, and I was friendly. The clerk was rude, and by no means was she at ALL friendly. Why?? I don't know and I promise this time, I won't be going back. I'd rather pay more at a Postal Annex or drive to another city. Stopped by a random post office on my way through Chino. Horrible service ever. The staff needs training on customer service etiquette. They are extremely rude. First going in the lady talks down to me thinking I'm a minor (I look young for a 24yr old). She spoke to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. As we go to the counter I get served. The lady in the next counter begins to hassle me as I wait for the associate who was helping me as she went to the back. She questions me why the associate was helping me with a certain service she was assigned to do. Very rude tone and very rude attitude. Chino is a growing community and unfortunately, our local post office on Walnut is having a hard time keeping up with the needs of its residents. There is always a wait just to get into the parking lot and once you enter the lot, you're still waiting for someone to leave. (We desperately need a larger post office with more parking available). I frequent this post office almost every weekday to mail goods. At one time, there were two bins to mail packages. One was broken and was never repaired, so that left only the other bin to deposit packages. Not only is this inconvenient, but the bin is ALWAYS full and you can't deposit any mail that you have because the opening to the bin is jammed with packages. I have since started to open the door to the back room to place my mail inside because of the jam. The next problem is in the back room where the mail is deposited. The cart is overflowing and packages have dropped on the floor and are everywhere. It seems to me that the problem with depositing mail could be remedied if an employee would simply empty out the cart where the mail is deposited more frequently, not leave it until the deposit slot gets jammed and the packages are overflowing. I would also think that this would make it easier on the employees since they wouldn't have to pickup all the packages that end up on the floor at the end of the day. I realize the parking problem can't change since the lot is only so big, but the way the mail is handled could definitely stand an improvement. read more

I will say there are some super nice and helpful workers, keyword "some". If I could give these people less than one star, I would. Dealing with them has been a big wide endless spiraling circle of hell. They lost a package with a tracking number. Marked it as "delivered" in their system, and called it done. The package never arrived, and every time we've tried to follow up on it, they just quote back the tracking information, promise they'll talk to the (substitute) carrier the next time she comes in, and call me back. None of that has happened. And, P.S., they've been horribly rude, except for our actual mail carrier, who was a delight to talk to, but never actually followed through. Thankfully, the textbook company I rented the book from has decent customer service and refunded the cost of the book. read more

I just moved here in Chino from PA. This office has Kiosks and counter service. My wife and I were welcome right away. I came in with loads of customers and thought that will be a bad day per my past experience. After I finished my express mail label and worker helped me right away. The line of customers disappeared like magic. Very efficient office. I am glad this is my home office. Thank you. read more

VERY VERY bad, especially a Mexican guy looks kinda like a manager or something... SUPER bad service, like the worst USPS I've ever seen. I would give zero if I could. He's acting super arrogant, and not clear about the USPS policy himself. Insisting not even trying to help customer. Even when I show his the policy and the slip with the signatures and everything, he simply said we will redelivery tmr... only this one sentence for the whole time, and then just gets off work. The way this post office is set up is slightly confusing in that no one is sure where to line up. The few times I've been here I've noticed they line up at the wrong spot and are told by the staff "line starts here". The employees are for the most part very patient and friendly. The parking can be tricky as it is a small lot so if anyone is backing out you have no choice but to wait with no option to pass them. The location is convenient as it is near homes, markets, 24 hour fitness, starbucks target etc. read more

This is my regular post office now and I mail a TON of mail from ebay and my merch here. MOST of the staff is nice, there are a few bad apples, But 9/10 I never have a problem, Only complaint is that it gets VERY Busy and the Self service machines are often out of order after hours. read more

I'm not sure who they use as carriers, but they are the absolute worse. Mail is regularly delivered to the wrong addresses and the gang box keys are regularly placed in the wrong mail box. This is a WEEKLY occurrence and is unacceptable. Try to phone in and you get 30+ minutes of wait followed by... sorry contact the sender to have it replaced. I wish I could do a terrible job and have no accountability. read more

I normally don't write on Yelp, but this Chino Post Office went above and beyond what I normally expect. I had a package sent to Luxembourg and the counter clerk said Luxembourg is a city in Germany......when I got home I checked the web and found out that I was correct and the clerk was wrong. I called the 800 number for the post office and spoke to a live person at this postal site in Chino to request that they recover the package for an correction on the destination country. Needless to say, the following day, they could not locate my package:(. I presume that some how package simply got sent out and will be returned due to incorrect country/ address in Europe. Today, I received a call from Frank that works at this post office advising me that they still have my package and is awaiting for the correction on the shipping label. Frank and his team did a fabulous job for me, thus the five stars. read more

George Mendoza, supervisor at this location, was supposed to call me about a lost package and failed to do so. I waited for 30 minutes at this location and the service was HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Yesterday my mom mailed a package to me with express shipping and no signature required for about $30. I've been up since 8am expecting this package checking them mail , and the porch to see if it has come because they guarantee delivery by 12pm the next day. As I was waiting I decided to take my dog out and when I opened my door a pink slip fell down, it was note saying that they came & sorry they missed me. NO ONE RANG THE DOORBELL OR KNOCKED!!! What kind of bs is that. Besides that.... the package did NOT require a signature so we didn't they just leave it on my porch like they were supposed too!? I drove to the postal service so I could figure out what is going on, and it got worse. The woman could barley speak English, she pretty much just brushed me to the side and side a supervisor will speak with me. After waiting 6 hours for this package and putting my plans aside, I had some where too be but that was of no concern to the woman or her supervisor. He went into the back for about 10 minutes came out and ask for my name and number . He told me well I'll just give you a call to let you know if there is a signature or not. WHAT THE HELL! No sorry for the inconvenience, we will make this right etc. I am a manger for the company I work for and i would of never just brushed aside someone like that. AMY IS CRAZY!!! apparently she is the manager there but something has to be done because she is way crazier than I've ever witnessed someone act. As soon as 5 o clock hit she literally was pushing people out the door saying they couldn't come in so the customer went to the other door and Amy pushed her out yelling that she wouldnt be helped. She was running around yelling at her employees to lock the doors as they looked terrified. Then I was next in line and she asked what I needed I said a receipt for my drop off she took my package as she ran around locking the doors. I told her to give me back my package and she said no for the employee to take the next customer and she would help me once she was done. I had already waited in a long line and now I need to wait until she is done running around like a crazy person. Amy you're a horrible manager and need to be fired asap. The delivery driver who services our home is awful. If there is a car parked in front of our mailbox, a car whose owner I don't even know, she won't deliver. When questioned about this, her recommendation was for me to leave a note on the car requesting the driver park elsewhere. Really? The parking here is simply horrible. If you are not traveling East on Walnut in order to turn right into the parking lot, you probably will not get into the parking lot since the traffic to get in makes it impossible to make a left into the lot if your traveling West on Walnut. Once inside the lot good luck getting a parking spot on a busy time or day. Forget about parking in the adjacent parking lot reserved for the medical building to the left, apparently the police department has decided to use this problem as a way to gain revenue. Last year I parked in there when I went to mail a small package and I was in line for about 5 minutes. When I came out a tow truck already had my rear hooked up and was just getting back in the cap to pull away. I ran over there and begged for him to give me a break. He told me it was about $300 to get the car out of impound or I could pay him $100 on the spot to release the car. Luckily I happened to have enough cash on me which was extremely rare for me to have. So he let me go after I passed him a C-note. The cops and the tow company have the place staked out on Monday's because the parking is so ridiculous, talk about predatory practices. It was unbelievable! read more

Our business has had several packages that say delivered via the tracking number but never show up! No one at this post office can ever answer the simple question of where our packages are. Our mail is always delivered but packages seem to vanish into thin air somewhere between the post office and our door. I am convinced that the carrier is stealing them but it is hard to know which one since we do not even have an assigned carrier at the moment! I like to support "under-dog" places that have good quality, services, knowledge, etc. who need a chance when starting off their business. I go out of my way to support them as long as they are worthy to be supported. As a result, I see City of Chino as a place needing more support than the well-established City of Irvine. I have made extra efforts to purchase $300-$400 worth of stamps every month for my monthly advertisements in this Chino Office, which is the opposite driving direction from my Chino office. It would be much easier and on my way to purchase stamps in Irvine Postal Office, since it is on my way to the Irvine Office. Been supporting this Chino office for years on spending my advertisement dollars and one day, when I am out of town for a conference for 7 days, the mail man returned all my mail to the sender instead of keeping in the post office; causing me to have 2 past due fees. I've went to the post office to talk to them about if the mail became too much, they should have just kept it in their post office for 5-7 days so people can pick up their mail or just place a notice in the mailbox instead of just sending them back to the sender. The teller told me to speak to a manager about it. The new built homes have less than 1/2 the size of the original mailboxes and I get some of the mails from my neighbors while they get mine. We all need a break and forgiveness since we are human, however, I see there is a severe lack of effort to make things better. Therefore, I have requested to speak to a supervisor or manager. I've waited for 30 minutes and he or she never showed up...while waiting there, another consumer said "I know exactly how you feel. They did the same to me and other people too and they do not care." I have properties in Chino and felt I should take time to give my 2 cents in hopes things would improve for all of us. Therefore, I have invested my precious morning time of 30 minutes waiting and that supervisor never even came out to talk to me. I had other appointments so I gave a business card to one of the tellers for the supervisor to call me. This was about 3 weeks ago and up to today, I still did not receive any phone calls. I am extremely disappointed at this Chino Postal Office not because of my mail, but more so because they have no intention at all to make things better. No wonder their financial health is not well. No business can survive when there is no intention of constant improvement. I am very pleased with Irvine Postal office off Culver. They have constantly been friendly, cares about people and clean. Therefore, I will financially support the Irvine postal office instead of the Chino one...it deserves to be supported. read more

This use to be a fairly nice Post Office a few years ago....things have changed. Now my postman leaves notices in the mailbox saying he came to my door with a package. Sorry dude.... Myself and my daughter were home all day and I was waiting for that very small pkg. If you had come to the door you would have left the notice on my door, not walked all the back to my mailbox 2 houses down. Now I get to drive over, wait in line AND I work till 5p so I don't know when that's going to happen....grrrrr. Thanks so much. The other thing I've found is if you call the office about not receiving a parcel, Maria (with an attitude) just makes up a story about what happened. I was told that they never had the pkg. then they said it had been sent back to the company...... blah blah blah. Outstanding customer service! I was expecting a very important package (my costume for Colonial day at my daughter's school) be delivered. Unfortunately, I waited until the last minute to order it. Learning the package would arrive the day of Colonial day (I needed it first thing in the morning), I decided to go to the Chino Post Office to try and track it down. Once I arrived, I made contact with a supervisor (I never got her name) who after explaining my dilema, she was more than willing to help me track down my package, but only after explaining that she couldn't promise me anything. After an exhaustive search, the supervisor emerged with my package. I was so greatful that I wanted to find out her name so I could leave this Yelp review. When I arrived at the post office later that afternoon, I saw the same supervisor that helped me with my package assisting customers at the front counter. When I asked another window clerk what the supervisor's name was, she replied, "Oh, she's not a supervisor, she's the postmaster!" Yes, Luz Reyes, the Postmaster personally helped me with my problem and also assisted customers at the front counter. I will always be a fan of the Chino Post Office! I grew using this post office. It hasn't always sucked, but they have now reached the pinnacle of craptastic service. Two years ago they screwed up my mail forwarding. They kept sending mail back to the senders for three months before I was able to finally get it fixed (through a different post office location). Recently, a few pieces of mail have ended up at my previous Chino address so I forwarded the mail again. Big problem. Instead of forwarding my mail, this post office just sends it back to the sender! What???? I ordered a few packages through different companies who I thought used UPS. I had them sent to my parents' house in Chino. USPS ended up being the final mail carrier (UPS transferred the packages to the local post office). Instead of delivering the boxes, USPS didn't even attempt to deliver them. They just sent one of them back to Ohio! Amazon customer service contacted them on my behalf, twice, to confirm the delivery address and correct labeling. After USPS failed to even attempt a second delivery, I was able to get of one of the boxes held for in-person pickup. We'll see how that goes. I might have given them a pass on one package from one sender, but this is a consistent and persistent problem involving multiple senders. Even when they are aware that a package is having a delivery issue, they don't fix it. They need to change the name of this location to "Dysfunction Junction". read more

Continuous problems. Would like to pursue legal action, its that bad. We had credit cards disappear in the mail, and thought we were getting our mailbox yoinked. Sending a fake credit card letter to ourselves with a camera on the mailbox didn't pan out because the letter disappeared in this post office before it got to our house. Numerous packages lost, including very large ones. Packages can be "out for delivery" for over a week. Customer service would improve if they hired DMV workers. Facility is about as clean as a teenagers bedroom. read more

I have a PO box here and my item indicated shipped and it wasn't in my box so I went to the counter to ask about it and the lady told me my package was not priority to them and that's why it's not in my PO box and I need to wait a couple days. Seriously? It really seem like the employees here hate their job and it's not organized at all. Dropping off my business packages in the back is scary, they don't even have the bins labeled or out and ready for packages. Asking the employees in the back to find out assigned bins is like asking for life from them, they just don't help. Today I received a package that wasn't even mine in my PO box. What's up with that? I'm definitely not continuing my term here. The Chino Hills location is definitely worth the drive, I haven't had a lost package there since I started going there (yes list packages at walnut location) Being a e-commerce business owner the scan time is crucial and this walnut post office will mess it that up! read more
