Had a bad experience. My husband and I went to get some passports. We got there and there was no one on the passport station, we waited like 5min and one of the employee that was working there was ignoring us Until I went to ask for help. The employee went to see if there was any one else to help us. When she came back she told us "someone will come out they are talking to the supervisor". So we waited and waited about 20min and no one was helping. Another couple came and also waited. Until my husband got mad because he had to return to work so I got mad as well because we waited for 30min to get helped. We left and still no one helped us.! I just think if the supervisor was there and she knows that there's people asking for passport help she/he should put his employees to work.! I gave the 5 Stars for my postman Paul and another awesome gentleman, don't know his name :( for many years now. They deserve recognition for their expertise and outstanding service. I thank God for their excellent service. They are consistent with timeliness, thoroughness, kindness, friendliness and most importantly the 2 of them push my mail completely in my locked box. This place is a mess. Do the employees here not understand the reason they're THERE... the whole reason they're EMPLOYED... is to help us with our postal needs. HELP US. Don't talk down to me and act like it's a total drag you're in business. The woman who helped me was so damn rude. I had ordered something online and, my mistake, I forgot to include my APT# on the address line. Hence my whole reason for going to this shitty post office. I told the woman how I forgot to include my APT# and after purposely making me feel like a total idiot, she proceeded to try to tell me I'd be "blessed" to retrieve a package there without the whole address, with a really snotty attitude, to match her ugly ass drawn on eyebrows. I told her "Well I was blessed a few days ago, now I'm just waiting for two more." Jeez, lady, who the hell do you think you are talking to people like that? And throughout the whole ordeal she's staring at me with the stupidest condescending look, perhaps partly due to the way her eyebrows were drawn on. And to her side, the young brother talking down to people needed to learn some manners too. Telling a gentleman "Bro you didn't even put the whole address" is definitely not a professional way to speak to clients, ESPECIALLY for a government establishment. A few days ago I retrieved one of my three packages. Again, my mistake I didn't include my complete address. I'm still getting used to having an apartment number. But the young lady who helped me a few days ago was way nicer and much more professional than the goons working today. WORST SERVICE EVER! So i had a package delivered monday at home while i was infact at home all day, and supposedly they "didn't find anyone" and left a note to pickup or redeliver. I went online and requested redelivery for next day tuesday, and they even sent me a confirmation email to this effect. Well i guess that means nada when it comes to this USPS in Buena Park. No package arrived on tuesday, and again wednesday. Now its wednesday evening and i just got off the phone with the site supervisor who was a heck of a bia$#@. First of all, no apology for the inconvenience. Second, she calmly states that the package IS still at the post office and offers me to go pick it up if i need it as "we close at 6 pm." What? Since when did it become my f'n job to deliver my own mail to myself after paying for shipping???! When i pay for shipping AND handling i expect my mail to find me at home, not do your job for you as well! And the tone on this crazy was dripping with sarcasm to top of my fun lovely conversation with her. It is pretty obvious from other reviews on here that she has serious issues in need of correcting best with FIRING! i DON'T CARE WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED! APOLOGIZE first, that would have gone a long was in calming me down enough before your next "offer" to redeliver tomorrow- 2 days later thank youNOT! The supervisor needs a new job or lessons in customer service, and is giving a bad name to this place despite actually pleasant cashiers when you go in for service. After being on hold for an hour with 1-800-ASK-USPS, I was given the phone number listed on yelp. I was instructed to contact the post office to confirm that my package was on the shelf for pick up. I called several times - got an answering machine each time. I then called 1-800-ASK-USPS again to inform them that the phone number furnished was an answering machine. After being on hold for 30 minutes, I was given an alternate number for this location and was instructed to request for a delivery supervisor. When I called the number, somebody answered. The supervisor yelled at me telling me that I wasn't supposed to have the phone number. When I told her I got the number from customer service, she told me to call the answering machine number. I proceeded to explain to her that I had been on hold with customer service for more than an hour just trying to find out who to talk to about finding my package. She continued to yell at me for having used the number. After going back and forth, she finally took my tracking number and told me that the package was out with the carrier. I proceeded to tell her that arrangements were made with customer service to have the package held at the post office for pick up. She told me, "Well it's out with the carrier and there's nothing you can do about it. You shouldn't have called this number". End result - I still can't find my package...so much time wasted dealing with ignorant people who lack professionalism. ok, so i went thursday september 12 to pick up my mail because my mail box was full, so i get in line where theres was no costumers waiting and behind me there was a white lady. so the worker(african american guy) didnt even say hi or good afternoon. he told me "go to the right side and wait till somebody comes and helps you" and i was like wow what type of people are here ? so he helps the lady behind me (white lady) after that he starts cleaning his desk. so i waited and waited and finally i asked hey, do you know how long it is going to take? the reason why i asked is because i was on my lunch hour. first of all costumers are first and he was cleaning, second of all i was in my lunch and i didnt want to get late to my work. so his answer was "give it a second" with a rude tone then after that, he decided to ask a lady on the passport area about is somebody was on break? the lady responded to him and then he starts asking unnecessary questions, he was questioning about why i didnt pick up the mail? i told him can you please just get my mail i have to go and he again asks very rude, "why didnt you pick up your mail?" and at that point i felt so harassed that i told him, "look it says on the paper that my mail box was full" and he again questions me in a rude way why? why? So he decided to give my paper to the lady on the passport area and made a comment to her "i cant deal with this lady can you take over"? She doesnt want to give reasons and i was like what the heck. Im a costumer and the way this people are treating me was so unprofessional. So the passport lady came with attitude and question me again why didnt I pick up my mail? I told her look, i dont need your attitude all i need is my mail then she told me i need to know why if not next time im going to return your mail to the sender. Im not giving you your mail and I looked at her and i said excuse me! You are so rude and disrespectful to me and all i need is my mail i dont have to give you reason unless my mail box is broken or if something out of the ordinary happend, she had the paper and i was trying to give her my id so she knows who i am and she told me i dont need your id i think to my self can anybody come and request mail without them checking who is the person picking up the mail? So she request my address and give it to her and she went and grab my mail and i asked her who the manager was and she told "me". She was the manager and her name is kimberly (american white women) after i left i felt so discriminated by these two people. Im hispanic and you have no idea the difference of costumer i received and the service the white lady that was behind me recived. These people were being very prejudiced towards me and its not right, somebody has to do something because this needs to stop, hopefully somebody higher then these people. Reads my review and do something about it. These people think that they have the right to disrespect discriminate just because they work for the goverment company and ITS NOT RIGHT. Read Julie C.'s review because this is absolutely true. This older rude and lazy white lady with blonde hair will offer no help at all. Went here to pick up a package. Spoke to this lady and after "pretending" to look for my package, she told me it was not there. I asked her what I could do to find it. She said, "there's nothing I can do." Went back a week later just to try my luck. Spoke to an Asian guy and found my package sitting there. All this lady had to do is do her job and she would have found it. Package was almost sent back to Germany and would cost me money to have it mailed back to me. If you encounter her and need help which most probably she wouldn't give, try coming back and hope you get someone else. I wonder if she likes her job. Seems to me that she hates it and has no people skills whatsoever. If in case you are reading this, my suggestion is to get another job that does not require having to talk to people. You can apply as a Mall cop on night duty or something like that. Wouldn't it be such a better world for all of us? read more

If I could give this post office a 0 I would. They lost my package two times in a row. The first time they claimed someone came by and left a noticed when they saw no one was home but someone was home all day that day and nothing was left. When I attempted to retrieve my package they said it wasn't there and that the carrier must have and to "wait". After a few days of giving me the run around and not returning my calls they said the carrier didn't have it and that it was lost. The second time I called and spoke to the manager (Ernesto Rodriguez) and asked him to hold it for me there so I could get it myself. He said he had the package and to come whenever I could. Waited in line for 20 mins for him to come out 15 mins after I was helped by the girl to tell me "it grew legs" and that he couldn't find it and that the carrier must've taken it out. On my way back I found my local carrier and asked him if he had it he said he gave it back to Ernesto and he didn't have it. When I called back and told him he said he would keep looking at let me know. When I called back at the end of the day they had me on hold for 30 mins and I'm still left with no answer or package. I've gone to this post office twice to renew my passport. The first time I went at 1 pm they had closed way earlier because there were few customers even though online says it's open until 7pm and the sign there says it's open until 2pm. They sent me to the library in front which couldn't help me. I came back a week later to try again. When I first arrived there was a customer arguing with a manager. Once I got in line, the same manager came to tell that they weren't helping anymore customers because they were again closing early. When i tried to explain my situation, this manager whose name is Kimberly, interrupted me and got very defensive. She was rude and refused to help me. Overall very bad customer service. Plainly, they suck. Wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

I had to deal with the most discourteous "supervisor" ever. I believe her name is Caroline Pham. I went in at 8:00 for my passport, they told me to come back at 10 and I was there at 9:45. Shortly after, another lady come in also with her kids got in line for the passport. We waited for 45 min before anyone tried to help us. We were ask to wait in the regular line and when we did the lady behind the counter told us she couldnt help us to go back to the passport line. When I asked for the manager Caroline came out about 15 min later and started helping other people in line first. She then came over to me and rudely asked what i needed. When I told her no one had acknowledged us for the last 45 min she curtly said well passport wait can be 2 hours. She then said did you even wait in line or where you just standing here. She was so rude. Waved down an employee to help me turned to me and said there you go. I just cant believe the post office would hire let alone have someone like her as a supervisor. read more

With a lot of people that go to the post office to mail stuff out, this place needs more open cashier. Lines are always long and some of the workers are ALWAYS slow. So next time you're mailing out, don't go to this post office. Go to the one in Cerritos. They're faster. And if there's more than 5 people in line, Cerritos post office will open another cashier. read more

The mail carriers and deliveries are terrible from this post office. Several times that I waited all day for a package at home and got nothing. No knock, no note telling me there was any attempt to deliver my items. If I didn't track my packages I would not know it was sitting at the post office waiting to be picked up. There are ridiculous notes on my tracking stating they made attempts when I know I waited all day and there was no knock or note. This is terrible customer service and I can understand why the ratings are so low for this place. read more

Our critical mail got lose often, like credit card statement, telephone statement and even Buena Park business license renewal notices, last year and this year! Due to not paying on time, we had to pay late charges and fine for all of them! read more

I appreciate Yelp for this brilliant public opinion sharing system to help everyone optimistically. The first one star I am giving here is just for Yelp. I could not agree more on those who upset with Buena Park USPS. I do NOT think the reason of terrible service providing from this office is due to the business or budget fading. It is obviously the management malfunction. There are many sit and relax high salary earn personals working in USPS. I do not see the same failure in nearby USPS offices. The clerks and (so-called) managers/supervisors are forgetting we all as human being. "Very Impolite Service" warning sign should be posted on their front door to caution their customers. I gain no personal benefits by posting these true experiences dealing with this office. I hope our voice will be heard when the genuine USPS management or US Government official comes across to listen our voices. You may not believe this. It happens more than once with us. We tried to ship a gift box to friend. We paid for the shipping and left the box with the clerk at the register after standing in the long line handling by one clerk while her other colleagues standing, chatting and laughing. A few days later, the postman delivered the same package back to us left it at the front door. I called in many times to reach supervisors. I still did not get the proper explanation of why they delivered it back to us. I went to see them. They did not apologize or even tried to listen but took the box back and promised to ship out to our recipient in other state asap. It was already paid for and no mistake in the address or anything. On the next day, the postman still delivered back to us. Analogous thing just happens again they messed up delivering the holiday gift packages among our neighbors. We caught the postman (and one time as postwoman) delivering the wrong letters and packages. They did not apologize but take all of them back to truck and said 'would correct and come back'. Why so hard to do it right away? We had done it on our own a few times, and continuing. I did not see them as too uneducated, blind or disable in any physical appearance but they simply do not care because we, the local residents are not taking serious action legally. These failures are indeed destroying the beauties of USA and the World besides the other deadly damages caused by the terrorists. I still love the location where I live for long time. I want to get things improved. What can we do? Do we need or already have an online campaign or town hall meeting to sign and inform to the Mayer or Governor? I do not want to be with those who are quiet, afraid, and waiting for the better tomorrows fought to get by meaningful people/heroes.
