Wish I could give 0 stars. I've called nearly 30x to get information on a package, and no one has ever picked up.

Can't wait for the day when the postal service goes broke and this branch fades into history. They are the worst. Most current horror story is an online purchase delivered with delivery confirmation that was never actually delivered. I know for a fact it was never delivered because the out going mail was still waiting to be picked up when I checked my mail and it was put out when I left for work, well before the delivery time noted on the confirmation info. I had to go to the office to get them to search for it, they insisted that I have a photo ID. ID is understandable if I were picking it up but you don't need an ID just to search for it. I'm painting with a broad brush here, there may very well be people that work there that actually care if they do a good job or not but this is just the latest of several personal incidents that demonstrate that the USPS sucks. read more

This Post Office is awful and so is the staff who are unable to make change.... I was refused service due to the fact they didnt have change for $1 they voided my INT order. I went outside found change went back and was told to go to the back of the line. AWFUL. read more

During the past month service at this branch has deteriorated. I walked in this morning at 9:30am to find a line of seven folks waiting for service and one lonely postal worker slowly typing away to service the needs of a customer at the counter. The reason I came to the office was to find out why mail wasn't delivered one day last week and oddly that I received two notices from vendors of returned items. Waiting a half half hour wasn't an option. I'd rather have postal service one day per week at the very highest reliable and quality service than 5-6 days at very marginal, if not poor quality. read more

This is not the closest post office to my house but I have decided it is worth driving further to visit here rather than any other Post Office I have used. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick. read more

If only there were fewer stars to give. This is a terrible post office (although I suppose that there may not be such a thing as a good one at this point.) If you have *any* other options (say, using UPS or similar, even if it costs a small amount more) I would recommend taking them. read more

The Factoria US Post Office is wonderful! The staff is cheerful and efficient, helpful to all, and eager to understand people's needs. Especially last Friday when the outside machine broke down, they all helped out, staying past the closing time and accommodating everyone while smiles. Bravo to a great crew! And kudos to the poor soul fixing the machine - he git it fixed, and was patient enough to make sure indeed it was fixed before leaving. read more

This review is for the Post Office branch in Factoria, Bellevue, WA. Written on Dec. 14, 2014. Very slow and unhelpful customer service. I wanted to mail a small 3"x4" very light envelope. There were two employees there. One of them was on the phone about his mortgage and ignored the customers for the duration of my visit. The other told me this small envelop is considered a package since it barely fit through their small letter-size slot, and wanted to charge me over $14 to ship to Japan using the cheapest method, which is outrageous. The employee I spoke to kept saying to me, and to other customers, that we need to leave and come back later as if this was a third world country government office. Others around me actually lost their temper on him. He kept making me get back in line for one thing or another. It took 30 minutes to send this small envelop at a reasonable price. He finally figured out that if I use a different envelop the price would be under $6. read more

I agree with Joshua J's comments on that particular employee. Fortunately, she's a temp, so you shouldn't have to deal with her regularly. I have other, ongoing issues with this branch, though. A majority of the employees speak English as a second language, and have backgrounds that don't, apparently, include friendly, rapid service. The lines (and there are ALWAYS lines) move very slowly. If you can avoid shipping packages from here, do so! I have a post office box there, and occasionally have to stand in line to collect mail that won't fit in the box. The branch doesn't have enough large package boxes. Also, the employees universally ignore the "No Signature Required" directive on packages, so I end up having to stand in line for those, too. The branch isn't open on Saturdays - go to Bellevue Main if you need Saturday service. And the pick-up window, which is supposed to be open on Saturday until noon, isn't always. It wasn't today, in fact. The parking lot is awful. I'd suggest parking across the street and walking in, but you're probably safer in a car... read more

1 star too much!! I went to pick up a package which was a special gift that my sister had bought my son for Christmas so I went there with the pick-up slip she left for me at her house and went to pick it up since she was out of town. Since it was late for Christmas she was out of town by the time it was delivered. Not only would they not give me the package, but they didn't give a rats ass either. I offered to get my sister on the phone or have her text me a photo of her driver's license and they said "NO". I even told him the gift was for my son and that he was ruining his Christmas. No apology. No eye contact. Why do government employees have to be so rude? Why can't they be human and use their own good judgment in their jobs? This is what my tax dollars are paying for???? I've never written a Yelp review before, but the service I received at the Factoria Post Office/Midlakes Station last night was so awesome that I feel compelled to say something about it. I mistakenly thought the Post Office was open later than it was, and arrived with a package at 6:15. I went inside, saw the 'Closed' sign, and peered through the window. A good-natured gentleman saw me and gestured to meet him outside, where a truck was being loaded. I explained my problem and he quickly walked me through how to use the postage machine in the lobby. I affixed the postage to the package and ran it back outside, where he had held the truck. Amazing, unexpected service. Thank you so much! read more

THEY STOLE MY PACKAGE!!! I had placed an order for $500 worth of clothing with an online clothing company and accidentally put my old address on the delivery form (I have been shopping with them for a while and they keep track of your old addresses). When the package was delivered to my old address, they did not leave it there and left a notice instead. Since I never got the notice, I checked the online order tracker for the status of the package. It said there was a notice left. I went to the branch to pick up my package. They have magically LOST it! I told them to keep looking. I called once every other day and EVERY TIME I called they said they would call me back that same day to give me the update. They never did. I finally found out the name of the carrier who was responsible. Her name is Louise and she is the one who probably stole my package because she was counting on the fact that I was not living in that address anymore. I am filing a theft complaint with the USPS Inspector General and, hopefully, she will get fired over this. read more

Slowest post office ever!!! It's not like the employees are extra nice or chatty, but for some reason, it always takes almost an hour or longer to mail one little thing. And despite the sign that says you can send express mail using the machine, you can't. I need to find a better post office that has parking around here. read more

Horrible Service by 1 Employee I usually come it this location to send my packages because it is close and usually friendly. However when I went recently, one employee by the name of CR (won't say the whole name) was clearly racist and completely rude from the start. As soon as I gave her the package I wanted to send, she asked me if I was sure the package was $100 as if she was suspecting me of lying (which I wasn't). She then told me I could only send the package with first class shipping. I asked her if there was any other way to send the package and if there was what would be the difference, but she glared at me and told me that if I didn't do first class she wouldn't send it for me. She then repeats that answer 3 times when I ask her again and then gets very mad. She then yells to me "How many times have I answered you?! Why won't you understand?! If you don't understand go ask the other Asian guy!". Afterwards she didn't even finish labeling one of my packages (there were 2 which I had already filled out information on beforehand) while the employees next to us had already finished doing their job for 4 customers. I asked her what was the hold up and she replied with a red face "It's because you ask so many questions!". I was mad as well but I kept my cool and told her she hadn't even clearly answered my ONE question that I had asked. She didn't reply and then started to yell at me for not writing the total price of the package twice. Like what?! It wasn't my first time sending a package; I have been sending packages for my whole life and this has been the first time I have encountered such a rude person at the post office. She was obviously nice to the person before me but then when it was my turn she suddenly changed facial expressions and was extremely rude. If that employee is going to send my packages again, I will wait purposefully to get service from someone else or go to a different location. read more

This PO needs to re-organize its mailing materials. Finding the correct usps mailers, envelopes, and boxes is difficult. For instance, the packing materials and gift wraps that you purchase should not be right next to the flat-rate materials and the flat rate materials shouldn't be right next to the express mail materials. They get all mixed up, I assume, by the customers. Too often I can't find what I am looking for, choose the wrong item and end up re-doing it all and throwing the mistaken stuff into the trash. (think wasted tax dollars!) Pluses: This PO has an automated post office machine, which I think is a great addition. One caveat, don't use it for certified return receipt mail that is being mailed in a standard legal sized envelope. Though their phone line is often busy, they do answer it when you get through. I never have trouble getting a parking space. You can drop mail off at the drive through. They are responsive to service issues. Negatives: It is often crowded and it is dirty (doesn't anyone ever clean the place up?). read more

I have a small home business..I am disabled so even if I wanted to I could not take my packages to the PO myself...I have consistently spent between $9 & $10,000.00 a year on shipping..Yep that is what I said thousand... I am all of a sudden being consistenly skipped on each day that there is a sub for my postal carrier...WHICH means they are NOT leaving my mail Or picking up my 6 to 12 shipments a day on those days... I found that on one of the days there was note on one of my missed deliveries saying "dog out"..which was & is a bold faced Lie...My dog was locked in my house because I was not home that day & don't leave him out EVER when I leave for his own safety...It is funny that the only day that my animal is left to roam seems to be 1 out of the 6 days I ship...and they just happen to be when there is a sub...I have a good realtionshhip with my postal carrier & he has tried & feels helpless...What can he do with these people lying... SO I have 2 numbers to cal...the first time I called I got an immeadiate answer...Now I have been trying to call twice a day several times each time...once in the morning hours then again in late afternoon... all of a sudden NO ANSWER...So I am supposed to believe there is no one there? ODD... I thought our post office was a proudly run government agency..it was when I was a young woman...I am now 65 years young & HAVE NEVER seen anything like it... Well this time I have had it... I am going to FEDX HOME to spend my $10,000 a year...They can pick up 30.000 pieces of mail to make the equivalent from now on... This must be the worst post office in the world. It must be... They've mis-delivered, given away, misplaced or simply left outside to be stolen (which indeed were stolen) so many items that over the years, I've lost several hundred dollars with no recourse. A few years ago, the manager even admitted that she gave my parcel to someone else, but told me to keep checking back--which I did, predictably without success. She didn't seem concerned about her error--just another day to ride out the clock. She did, however, seem annoyed when she broke one of her dagger-length fingernails at the counter. Truly, horrible service with an attitude that suggests they really don't care. If you enjoyed the old Soviet style bureaucracy with zero accountability, this is your station. Following the Soviet parallel, could this be the the equivalent to a Siberian outpost where they send their weakest, least motivated and criminal elements? They've moved into a new location (within the same super-ghetto corner.) In the previous building, I witnessed a man in a wheelchair struggling with the station's automatic door as it pinned him in the door frame. Any decent, caring enterprise (hell, even profit-driven, heartless corporate America) would have called for immediate service on the door and posted someone at the entrance to ensure safe passage for all. The following week, the same door was still out of order (it was the only entrance.) What sort of government building cannot even guarantee accessibility for citizens with physical challenges? There was always an old woman in the back area who was visible from the counter--I would see her moving left to right or right to left in the background on alternate visits with no apparent purpose, but at a pace so slow that her progress was nearly imperceptible. This was an employee with some ostensible function--how was this tolerated? It would have been comical to watch had it not been so maddening as I, and other good citizens, stood in that long line with nothing to do but contemplate the probability of skin cancer on the mole of the heavily moustached woman's lip behind the counter. My postal carrier skips Saturday deliveries frequently and will never take outgoing mail. We've had him for years and that has always been his norm. I received a notice this Friday that I could pick up a parcel on Saturday--I arrived shortly after they opened and was told to come back later. I went back prior to closing and they told me the carrier had left my parcel in the truck--come back on Monday. I returned on Monday and was told my parcel must still be in his truck. This has happened more times than I can recount. I've read Yelp reviews for years, but have never been moved to post one until today. I've had it. If you live in the 98122, have your deliveries shipped through another post office if possible. Don't have ANYTHING important delivered to your home. And if you have to go into the post office, don't leave anything of value in your car. Which brings me to the location--this is the part that they cannot help. This is one of the very worst blocks in the city. It's getting better (there hasn't been a drive-by in awhile--not the case ten years ago, when several postal vehicles were riddled with bullets) but you still do not want to hang out on this corner unless you enjoy witnessing the baser side of the human element. There have been a couple of good experiences over the years--I had a carrier named Toby who was fantastic. His route included my office and I trusted him with parcels. This Post Office is tucked next to the Factoria Mall. It's a little tricky to find but once you do find it, like some of the other reviews noted, you won't soon forget where it's at. It saves you a drive into Bellevue crossroads and it's closer to the freeway. I have personally always found parking there every time I have gone, but since it's a little bit on the smaller side I wouldn't assume there isn't a car behind you and to back out slowly. I had 2 people in front of me when I walked in and I didn't wait longer than 15 minutes. All of us had packages so those aren't necessarily fast to ship to begin with. If you're in Factoria and you need something mailed I suggest you go to this Post Office and not the UPS across the street. The staff is way friendlier at this Post Office and they will take the time to listen to your needs unlike the UPS who will mis-quote you prices multiple times on the phone and in person then randomly point to a machine even though you don't need one. At this Post Office there were 2 people working when I walked in so that was a bonus. I thought it was nice that they added an additional staff member when more people walked in behind me. All in all it's a Post Office so the more you can do ahead of time to your package (labels, addresses) the faster your trip will be shipping out it in the end. read more

Incompetency in delivering a package + terrible customer service. Despite signing delivery notices (three of them), my package was never left at my house. The tracking information said it would be at the East Union Post Office, When I called that location, it would ring and ring and ring. No answer. When I went in person, the woman at the counter impatiently told me "it was definitely not there" and that was that. She offered no help or idea how to find my package, nor any interest whatsoever in how important the package may be to me and that her team had apparently lost it. She and the Carrier annex sent me back and forth from one to the other saying the other could help. East Union was rude each time. Carrier Annex was very nice but promised follow up and never followed through. Three weeks later, still no package.... read more

Today, December 5th, the mail boxes are left wide open, the mail person didn't lock up the front of the boxes. so everyone's mail is open to the public. This is the second time this has happened to me. so somebody needs to wake up...my address is 17446 SE 47th St. Bellevue..and the boxes are open as I am writing, the bad thing here is this time of year. many send checks..in Christmas cards. hope you can go with this person to make sure he or she knows how to lock up those boxes.. read more

I have the unfortunate privilege of living near this sad excuse for a post office. Today I stood in line for 30 minutes to pick up a package my postal worker decided not to leave at my door. As usual, there was nobody at the package pickup door (or nobody to answer the little bell) so I had to stand in line. The two older women working the counter had discussions about watching the Price is Right, going on break, one of their vacations, etc. I was behind a little old man who was told he had to fill out a form in order to mail his package. His vision was bad and the two counter ladies refused to help him. No doubt, they were scared they might raise the bar a bit for customer service, and clearly wanted to keep the bar very, very low. I filled out his form for him whilst one of the ladies meandered around looking for my package. What a waste of time. If you live in this area, might I suggest the UPS store above the QFC on Broadway and Harvard. It is MUCH nicer, faster, and has folks who really want to help you mail your stuff. read more

I ordered a book and paid fpr shipping. The worker came, knocked on the door, I got up to answer, and he was already downstairs. Didn't even give me the chance to answer so he could DELIVER the package. I call the office, talked to an employee who I could hardly understand, but he was willing to help so I was patient. The employee proceeded to ask me every question related to the problem, then proceeded to put me on hold for 7 minutes. I hung up, called back and a lady answered saying he went out for a half hr break. This guy put me on hold then went on break!! I PAID FOR SHIPPING, SO I EXPECT SHIPPING. I AM SICK AND 9 MONTHS PREGNANT AND DO NOT WANT TO GO TO AN OFFICE I HAVE TO DRIVE TO WHEN I PAID FOR SHIPPING. Oh, and the lady that answered, LITERALLY REFUSED to help me on the phone. When I asked who was working, she said me, a black man, (who was on the half hr break) and an East Indian man. I have NEVER been treated so poorly. This post office has deteriorated. I moved to this area 23 years ago and the service was OUTSTANDING. They delivered to your door and left your packages in the screen out of view. We had one black woman for several years who was the perfect mail carrier. Friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. THEN we got someone else who was not as good, but okay. NOW we have a carrier who point blank says he doesn't want to walk upstairs and leaves packages downstairs in the open (this is a high crime area). Did the USPS cut pay? Benefits? Mail carriers make good money as far as I know. Why are carriers doing less? AND NOT WELL!! (I am always getting someone else's mail). I am just about ready for them to privitize the postal service. At least the most qualified would get the job ... and there would be no fear of getting rid of a substandard employee. I've lived at my current address in this post office's district for 6 months. I filed an official change of address as soon as I moved in. Not once have I properly received mail sent to me. After moving in, I left a note in my box for the carrier, explaining that I wasn't sure why my form wasn't going through but to please deliver any mail for my to this address. I got a note in return asking me to put my name inside my mailbox, which I did, to no avail. After a few weeks of no mail and calls from friends and family telling me that packages had been sent back marked "return to sender," I finally went down to sort it out. I was told that they couldn't imagine anything was wrong and not to worry about it. A month later, after nothing changed, I called and spoke to a woman who promised to work out what was going wrong. When I didn't hear back, I called again and spoke to the same woman, who was this time very helpful and told me that after looking at my situation, she understood my frustration and could see no logical reason why my carrier would be failing to deliver my mail, and promised to speak with him. For about a week I got a few junk envelopes, but at least they were addressed to me. Then even they stopped. Even mail addressed to me c/o my roommate, who has lived at this address for years and has no trouble getting mail, and mail addressed to my boyfriend, who was only visiting at the time for a month, was arriving on time, but now my friends and family are again telling me that mail is being returned to them marked that my forwarding order has expired, despite the fact that I was informed by a staff member of the post office itself that it was clear to her that my change of address form had been filed properly and I obviously live at this location. I don't have a forwarding order. I live here. Why the hell am I STILL not getting my mail?!? Even now, I'm trying to call and sort it out (again) and I'm just getting a busy signal!! read more
