The only downside that could be improved is for a cleaner bathroom and better organization and arrangement of the space.

She can do your nails, pedicure, eyebrows and anything that you ask her to do. She is always willing to help you with all services. As a customer, I only go get my nails done once a month. This is how great she is with creativity , skill and patience / feedback on what needs to be done for any special event. Lastly, make sure you go check out this nail salon. The big windows , music and design allow for a peaceful and elevated experience. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the staff and Alexus immediately went to work on my toe polish change. Upon here arrival, Ashlyn went head and soaked off and drilled my current set off. Once she was complete and Sydney was ready to apply the acrylic, I switched chairs. Sydney did a fantastic job on the application and shaping of my nails. Ashlyn did some filing and polishing as well on my set. Though a little longer than a trip to a typical nail salon, I enjoyed every minute. I'll definitely be back as I hope to have found my new nail home.

It was spur of the moment and I got Suzan and I decided to do something fairly plain and she did an absolutely wonderful job. I have very sensitive cuticles and so even the barest brush of the e-file and I'll end up with scabs, which really mar a new set. She was meticulous and careful without me even having to tell her. Sylvia was unpleasant and rushed the service and charged me extra without telling me and thanked me speedily out of the door- $95 for deluxe pedicure and a gel polish changed. I can't remember the last time I went to get a pedicure and it was not possible to get something to drink. I had just finished up my water bottle so I was counting on that but nothing was available. They handed me the nail colors and I picked one out. The woman who gave me the pedicure was very pushy about trying to get me to get the most expensive package. I picked the second tier package, which was supposed to come with a nine minute foot massage as they specifically stated the time. My foot massage lasted just over five minutes total. It was supposed to be $55, but when I went to pay, I was charged $70 and when I asked why it was that much they told me it was a $15 up charge for gel. They didn't even give me any other option. I live in San Diego and I get pedicures every month and this is more expensive than the pedicures I get there. I would not return to this place.

I had heard great things about Dekalb Nails from several friends who have been going there for a…read morewhile and always had positive experiences, so I decided to try it for the first time. Unfortunately, my visit did not reflect the same experience they described. I arrived at 6:00 PM, but my nails were not started until 8:00 PM, which is the time they close. While I do appreciate that they still took me, I was immediately told the design I originally wanted was too complicated because they were tired and that I should choose something easier. If a salon accepts a client that close to closing, it's frustrating to then be told you can't get the design you want for that reason. I ended up choosing a full French set with one 3D flower accent nail. The technician began the French tips, and when I said I didn't like how they looked, he had no problem redoing them, which I appreciated. However, when it came time to do the flower, he told me he didn't have the proper tool to create it, which was confusing since we had already discussed the design. He attempted to improvise with another tool, but it didn't look right, so I asked for it to be removed. While I was looking for a different design for that nail, he left to work on another client. During that time, I noticed the French tips were still uneven and crooked on several nails. At that point, I asked the manager (Amy) if it would be okay for me to come back the next day so they could fix them, since I wasn't happy with the quality. She initially agreed and told me to come back earlier in the day. However, when I asked if the French could simply be removed that night so I could start fresh the next day, the interaction changed completely. Amy became upset and told me not to come back at all, saying there would be no charge and that it was now a "donation." The way that was said felt very uncomfortable and carried an implication that I was trying to get out of paying, which was not the case at all. I had already agreed to come back the next day to have the set done properly and was fully prepared to pay for the service. The "donation" comment came across as dismissive and unnecessary, especially since the entire conversation up until that point had been about finding a solution to fix the nails. While I appreciate not being charged for work I wasn't satisfied with, the way the situation was handled felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Between the long wait, lack of tools for requested designs, uneven work, and the way management handled the situation, the experience left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this salon. I hope they improve their customer service and communication moving forward.
