Adding to places I won't be back due to poor customer service. I've been coming here constantly since my last review, but this time my experience was different. I messed up my polish and returned to get it fixed. Immediately felt this request was received as unreasonable. My assumption was it would be treated like a polish change - which is reasonable. The staff overlooked me multiple times and took customers they came after me with high paying services. After 30 minutes, they called me to the seat for the polish change. After moving work locations, I started exploring other nail salons more convenient in proximity. A few dissatisfied and failed attempts later, I cleared my schedule to come back to Serenity Nails and am so reminded of why I should have just continued coming here! I messaged Han, the owner, to ask her if my favorite technician was available on weekends. She replied quickly that my technician was no longer at the salon, but was able to pair me up with Tina instead. When I arrived for my appointment, the staff was so happy to see me. They all greeted and hugged me; it felt like home! I had absolutely no wait and was seated and worked on immediately. With my busy schedule, time is of the essence and I really appreciate salons adhering to their appointment times. It's very important that I'm able to spend a reasonable amount of time with routine services and Serenity did an excellent job! Y'all, turns out Tina has 20+ years of experience in nails. I showed her an inspo image of these awesome almond shaped natural nails with a muted pink/purple color. Perfect for work while still looking clean and fresh. I asked her if my nails were long enough to achieve this look - I've always wanted almond nails but have to keep my nails short for my job. Initially she said my nails are too short and I was a bit disappointed but I told her to go ahead and trim them down to my regular square oval. Before she trimmed, she said, wait, let me try something. She patiently worked on one nail after another with care and detail. In between, she asked if the look was okay and if that's what I wanted to achieve. I WAS SO HAPPY! I've never had this look in my life and it makes my small nail beds look longer and more feminine. The gel polish work she did was also awesome. The polish was even and very neat. When Han arrived she also looked at my inspo picture and helped me pick the perfect color. I couldn't be happier with the results and am reminded this is a superior salon with stellar customer service. I routinely get manicures and pedicures but rarely write reviews on every place. Some are just so typical, a review seems unnecessary but then some are extraordinary and I make the time to say a few words. I'm not sure what made this location standout besides the look of my cute toes and their service. Excuse my memory but I was pregnant with my boy at the time and hence my foggy brain, however, the technicians were all thrilled about my deliver and I left feeling like they put a little more care into me as I was about to have an entire baby. Updating to add that my SNS here lasted for OVER FOUR WEEKS!! No chipping, no popping up. I could not believe it!! They looked BEAUTIFUL the entire time. I usually re do my nails every 2-3 weeks, but went on vacation and didn't get a chance to check in sooner. I know that it's different from tech to tech. But I'm so disappointed in this place. No cuticle removal/clean up which caused uneven edges, patchy polish coverage. They soak off in a bag with cotton and acetone, which causes your hands be dry as hell all day after. Fast service. But quality is trash. read more

Can I tell you how impressed I was with this place? I recently moved to Atlanta from Chicago, IL. After settling in and learning my way around town - still learning - I knew I needed a great spot for my manicure and pedicure needs. Of course, I yelped "Best Pedicure" and decided to give Serenity Nails a chance with my precious feet. I know it was the name that drew me in. Who doesn't want to go to a peaceful and serene place to relax as your fingers and toes are being ministered to?? Yessssssss, Serenity Nails. Yessssssss. The place was gorgeous. From the entrance to the immaculate ladies restroom. I put everything on a business that takes care of their restroom facilities. On God!!! So, they basically had me with the pristine restroom. I'm so prissy like that. Then, I met the Queen. Helen is her name and pampering is her game. This women took such good care of my feet, I thought she was an Angel. I definitely felt touched by an Angel. She was observant of my mood and personality. Not too chatty and just straight to business . Nice experience, clean, reasonable prices. Only two caveats were the SNS nails you have to dip your finger in the powder pot that everyone else has dipped in, which is extremely unsanitary (they should do an individual pour-over, it would take a little longer and maybe use more product but I'd pay more for that personally. And also the SNS application itself didn't quite go all the way to the cuticle, so it's growing out a bit earlier than usual. But the way they buffed & filed the SNS is really beautiful and natural looking, mail shape is flawless so props for that. I also got a lip wax and a full deluxe mani besides the SNS just because my cuticles and hands really needed attention. They were good too. This would be a 4-star review with better sanitation, and a 5-star with that and a slightly more complete application of SNS close to the cuticle. read more

I came in as a walk in and was taken care of immediately. The establishment is nice and clean and one of the nail ladies is truly talented ( I could see her working on a client at another table and couldn't help but admire her work). Unfortunately, my nail lady left a lot to be desired. She was messy with filing my nails and I had to ask her to file again to make sure that the lines were straight. The biggest issue with her filing is that she did it at an angle which left a layer of nail that she cut with the cuticle cutters, creating a jagged line. She was really rough in cutting my cuticles. I'm disappointed that my gel mani has already begun to chip and it's only been two days! I'm truly disappointed. read more

Great spot for a pedicure! I will preface by saying I pretty much only get pedicures. I don't do anything with my nails. But as for pedicures, they have some nice options that start at $22 and go up to $55 with other upgrades. They have complimentary beverages: water, wine (red and white), tea and coke. The place is new so the decor looks great and the massage chairs are new. They had some R&B playing quietly in the background which was nice. I recently did the "Special Pedicure" for $27. I appreciated the nice exfoliating massage followed by a normal lotion massage. The lady who did my toes had good attention to detail and my toes look great! I almost considered skipping color because she did such a great job. I would give 5-stars for my latest visit but I've been a couple times so I think 4 is a more appropriate average. First time was likely my last time. Lina did a great Pedi and eyebrow wax job. She was also very sweet and accommodating. I was sure I'd be back until the little stud came over to do my manicure. She was way too aggressive for me and even chipped my natural nail blaming me for her mistake. They had a good music selection though. I left with cute feet and brows but a bumpy, crooked and uneven gel manicure that I could have done myself. I was chipping and lifting within the week. I received the $40 deluxe pedicure VOESH collection. First off, the establishment is very modern and pretty. The woman who did my pedicure was very happy to service me and was very gentle but put elbow grease when needed. The prices are amazing for the price and not to add, she removed the drain to clean after my pedicure. This is my go to spot from now on. read more

Always have good service here. And it's close to home. I have been here during covid pandemic and haven't had an issue of feeling uncomfortable. I only got pedicure to minimize risk. I visited this nail shop today for the second time since I'm new to the neighborhood and wanted to find another nail salon. I had a terrible experience getting a fill in with gel polish on my nails. I didn't notice until I left that enough powder wasn't added to the outside / corners of my nails and also the filing was not to my satisfaction. I most definitely will not be returning! I just moved into this area and was looking for a nail shop near by. Well, I found Serenity and thought the location was convenient. When I first came into this place, Donna, who I think is the owner or manager of this place, was my first technician, and did a great job with my nails. She asked me what I would like and even gave me nail care advice. I really liked the way she treated me. Then I came a few times after; with no expectations, because we all know, nails shops with Asian technicians, is a bad day waiting to happen, why? Because of the bad service we always receive. For years I've settled for bad service in a nail shop, and because of that, I don't really expect much customer service when I go into a new nail shop. Sucks, but it's true and I'm pretty sure I am not the only person who feels this way.... Well back to the review. Came a few times, service was ok. But already in my mind I am just not feeling right because again, they treat you like you owe them something, or as if you are wrong for asking for a specific service or treatment for your nails. To ask them not to use the filing machine, is like asking for a death sentence. Mind you, I am a good customer, have never given them any trouble, just a standard preference of treatment on my nails. Which should be normal and standard in a nail shop! They get upset, if you ask them to do your nails a certain way, and then treat you like your a burden. The women today at table 17 was extremely rude . I came in asking for a gel removal and a mani with clear gel, she asked me to wash my hands and have a seat. I followed. When I sat down, I seen several technicians just wondering around, and I thought , let me remind her that i need to soak my nails, maybe she can ask one of the technicians, that is simply standing around, to soak my nails until someone is available. This is me killing time productively. But, instead she had me wait. She was working on her client and when she finished , while I'm still waiting, she goes to another customer who was waiting, but doesn't even update me on who will be assisting me or anything . She goes straight to the other customer and starts with her feat, she looks straight at me and says nothing. I am tired! Of spending my hard work earned money on businesses like this, that just don't appreciate your business. I will not be going back. It's more of a built up for me. I believe in chances, I believe in giving people and places time. Then the technician that comes to me seems to have had an issue with me, idk, but she was doing my nails and at one point , there was a long white string on my nail polish, I seen it and I asked her , if she can take it out. Oh man ! Her response. I am just fed up with the bad customer service I have received in this place . I tip $10 dollars or more, every time , regardless of the price and this is the treatment I get ! That is fine. This will be the last time I step foot in this place. Donna I truly hope you talk to your peers and tell them that they need to be appreciative and treat the customers with respect and provide good customer service regardless the customers tip, race and or nail care request! Most of your technician seem to have issues with providing good customer service, and training may not be a bad idea! Nice nail salon. I won't be replacing my regular with this one which was what I was looking to do since I bought my house in another area. It was adequate service and price but I deducted 1 star because the tech forgot to do the hot towel treatment. Once I mentioned it, she proceeded to drape a small lukewarm towel over both of my shins AFTER she had already oiled my legs. When I see "hot towel" I always assume 2 hot towels wrapped around your feet for a period of time to soften them. I deduced another star because she also didn't assist with putting my flip flops back on. And as I sit here writing this review (after my service has been completed, just waiting for my nails to dry a little) a woman next to me was offered free wine to drink.... I wasn't offered anything at all, not even water. I think I might only drop in again if I was passing by but even then I might just head on to the next plaza for something better. read more

The last customer of the day should be treated the same as the first. LOTS of employees working today, its pretty clean and looking efficient here. I got here 45 minutes ago and they told me to wash my hands and pick a color as soon as i walked in after agreeing to take me for a pedicure as if they are ready for me. I sit down after no direction and wait for a look, smoke signal.. something? Not a word since!!!! Are they hoping ill go away or disappear after waiting for so long and being avoided? So i wait. It is indeed busy here but i got here long before closing and they could have told me it would be an hour wait. Since i have a first date tomorrow i NEED TO get this done. Every-time a tech finishes with their client i see them disappear to the back not to be seen again. Im really frustrated that they have not said a word to me but now im just curious as to how this will all play out... and again.. the date has got me Motivated.. lol They finally acknowledge me and say come on back. Whew finally my patience pays off. They fill my pedicure water 1/4 the way up and walk away. I assume someone else is taking over that knows how to fully fill up my foot bath??? SMH! Really people? There is nothing worse than making an appointment and getting there and they look at you like "oh yeah, I forgot". Had appointments for 4 people. Three people started getting their pedis right away. One of us had to wait and wait and then they had the nerve to start on a customer who had just walked in. The salon became very busy. They were more concerned with not losing customers than paying attention to the customers they already had. I find this a huge problem in all salons.
