I got a SNS manicure today for the first time and I really love the way it came out! I typically do my own nails and have never done anything like this professionally. I went in with a picture of a mani I liked and asked for them to do the same with the colors I chose. I love the way it came out! It was also my first time going to this nail salon. I've never written a review before in my life but I can't let experience at Positive Nails today go unaddressed. I'll never go here again and highly suggest that whoever's reading this takes their business and hard learned money elsewhere. I don't get my nails done often but when I do I always go here and I usually have an experience that I can forget about the next day; nothing life changing but also nothing dramatic or upsetting. Today changed that. The woman who did my nails was very rude, judgmental, awful at customer service, and seemed uninterested in making the experience remotely comfortable for me. She just seemed irritated for no reason right off the bat. She spoke to me so disrespectfully and accused me of messing up my nails. Mind you this was while she was in a stage where the flaw was easily correctable and she said "you messed your nail up" with a attitude as if I'd purposely ruined my nails during the transition from the pedicure chair to the manicure bench. I don't care WHO messed up the nail, at the end of the day it's her job to fix it as I am a paying customer regardless. I responded with a shrug "I don't know." And she snaps at me "No I'm telling you that YOU messed it up". Just incredibly rude and nasty and unprovoked. I am a very calm and unconfrontational person. I never expressed an ounce of discontent at the flaw because I KNEW it could be fixed. She should not have been so upset over such a small thing. I was genuinely baffled at her attitude towards me. Later on she proceeds to look at me and go "You don't get your nails done very often do you?...I can tell". Disrespectful. I got a blue cats eye and she never even asked me what shade of blue I wanted, just went in with whatever shade of blue she picked out before I could even stop her. And the nails came out very crooked. See attached...ridiculous. Overall my experience with most the workers here in the past was neutral to positive. She was clearly the problem. If you go here, don't let the black woman near your nails unless you're okay being talked to crazy or you're getting a style too basic for her to mess up. (Also this is not about race, I'm simply describing the one feature of hers that distinguishes her from the other staff members. I am also a black woman. I wanted to like/ support her so bad at first as it was my first time seeing a black woman working in an Asian owned nail salon. So once again, this review is not targeted) read more

I tried positive nails today for the first time and it will definitely be my last. I paid do a deluxe pedicure but received a basic pedicure with the jelly. Honestly my feet don't look done the polish was pretty but my feet are very dry and ashy never had this happen before. My nails were horrible and not shaped at all and the gel didn't even dry properly. Im not a complainer and I typically leave great reviews. I was a little nervous going here after reading the reviews. However, after stepping into the salon, I was greeted with very friendly service and everyone was happy to help. I got a manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows done. The ladies were very sweet and funny and it was a really nice atmosphere. Everything was clean, and it was nice to talk to everyone. First time visiting. I got SNS with a gel topcoat. I usually get SNS and I never have any issues with it chipping or breaking my nails. She did a good job initially and I liked it but within a week one of my nails broke and 2 more are already chipping. She told me the previous people who did my nails didn't do them right but I had no issues with them chipping before she did them. read more

Very disappointed in my experience today. I wanted to like this place because they had some cute IG posts and a friend also had good experience here...but I did not. I paid almost $150 (after tip and deposit) for nails and pedicure. The most I have ever paid for nails....and I hate both. I felt the set I got was nothing too fancy but because of the length and design expected to pay around $100 or so (full set, pedicure &tip) for all my services. I got a new set so when taking off my old set some of my actual nails tore. So my fingers were literally burning putting on the new set. The shape of my new set of nails are terrible. I asked for coffin. The shape is not defined but worst of all a lot of my nails were put on crooked. They nickel and dimed me for everything. $5 to shape nails? $5 for French tip when I only had 4 nails with "French tip"? $10 for gel polish and I only had two nails with black gel polish? The reminder was nude powder. My pedicure felt rushed bc she had an appointment waiting. You have to make an appointment and pay $25 deposit to be seen here. As a walk-in, I didn't know what to expect, but I only needed a mani and pedi. Thinking I was getting S&S, my nails got dipped in powder, the manicurist forgot about me when another customer walked in and she was ready to release me without shaping my nails and the final top coats. She nicked five out of ten of my fingers with the dremmel and made them bleed. She didn't even trim my cuticles or massage my hands. The woman who polished my toes made my large toe bleed. When I showed the owner, he told them that they made me bleed and I didn't receive what I expected and the manicurist told him I had delicate skin. Maybe I have, but no one has nicked my skin in 20 years. I was charged for a full set though I didn't get extensions and for a specialty pedicure. I don't usually complain, but I tore a hundred dollar bill in half with no apologies and scabby, thick digits. read more

Went in for a pedicure for my 9 year old and myself. It's close to me home so it's hecka convenient. They don't have a large staff so the wait was crazy. About 35 minutes or so. However our pedicures were amazing. The color selection is limited but we really like their work. We'll be back and hopefully they will have hired more people. If not then I'll still suffer thru it as the end result was worth it. read more

The lady Mum did my manicure and pedicure for my first visit it was really a great visit. My only complaint would be that they kept speaking their language amongst each other. The lady never had one conversation with me in general about anything the entire visit. I just thought that was kind of RUDE towards the customers. The wait is always long I've been here twice each time there was 1-2 people doing nails. I guess they're appointment based but they never really say that. I waited about 1.5 hours and came back when they told me to just for 2 people to get a pedicure before I ever got in the chair for my full set or pedicure. I thought I might as well just stay since I already waited this long.
