Karen and Maya are the absolute truth! They have a very kind and warm spirit and make you feel very welcomed. I found this gem by having lunch at a restaurant in the shopping complex and I looked up the name and the reviews were so positive. I was told I could come in for a fresh full set and spa pedicure same day. The reviews were all positive so I decided to go for it and the reviews were absolutely correct.. they are amazing! it is always difficult when you have your favorite nail tank in another city and you move and have to find new aestheticians.... Let's get into it! How people like their nails done is always a subjective process and all you can do is read the reviews and base experience individually . In this case I called late on a Thursday evening and made an appointment for 9 AM. I was greeted promptly and asked to have a seat as well as choose my nail color. For me I have acrylic on both my toes and on my nails because I travel extensively are just fine that the acrylic last longer than gel polish. In this case Kathy did my nails. Another tech did my feet. Not everyone knows how to do acrylic on the toes and so it did take a little bit longer, Kathy had to take over in order to complete my feet however... the shape was perfect the color was perfect and I'm very pleased I would highly recommend this salon based on professional service and in and out in less than 1.5 hours! Today I came in at 10 am and my services began around 10:30 am. I had the pleasure of getting my nails done by Steven. He was very patient in understanding what I wanted and worked efficiently. He paid very close attention to detail and provided me with some nail care tips as well. Steven and I made great conversation and I was very satisfied with my full set. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I'm horrified. I came here 3 times for a gel manicure. First time, no gel on my nail. Second time, the technician soaked my nail directly in solution for a few minutes then used the file drill tool to remove the gel. I thought it was weird as I have had gel manicures for over 10 years, but maybe it was a new technique? I dunno. I went back the 3rd time ten days ago. My regrowth was a decent length. This time she barely soaked my nails and used the drill file to the point my nails were paper thin. Even after she applied the gel my nails would bend. Within 3 days 4 nails broke off. I had to soak the rest of the gel off myself, but couldn't remove it all because of her filing my nail beds down to almost nothing. My nails are destroyed and I'm going to have to wait probably a month for my nail beds to heal. I've never had this happen to me before. They hurt so much. Everything I touch is painful. Customer service has severely been going downhill. Steven often doesn't listen to what the customer has requested, from the wrong color selections (that he makes without asking your opinion) to straight ignoring requests, such as asking for a soak off. If you are in a hurry, don't even try. Appointments, back when they took them, are more like clocking in for a full shift. They now no longer take appointments and refuse to give an estimate on how long of a wait or put names on a wait list. COVID update: Folks, these are trying times. Risking a visit to the salon when there's a killer flu infecting Georgia is no joke. I was waiting to see what my first nail service would be like and I'm SO GLAD I trusted Steven and Kathy and Candy. Salon was clean and sanitized. I was offered water as usual but chose not to remove my mask to take it. Yes, masks were REQUIRED of all building occupants, staff and clientele. There are shields up for the nail stations and face guards to go over the masks for those performing pedicures. The service was appointment only - no hangers on in the building spreading germs. Candy did an amazing job with my pedicure considering I had six weeks of non-treatment. Perfect trimming, painting and a wonderful leg massage to boot. Steven was just as diligent as ever in taking my ill-described vision and making my hands look pretty. They care about your health and your satisfaction. Went back a week and a half maybe 2 weeks later because I broke a nail. Still a good experience. Kathy the manager is who did my nails and I still luv them! I didn't yet need a fill. She gave me a freshen up with my repair and I'm right back where I was two weeks ago. Yea.. think I've found my new nail shop. A few things I didn't mention but are worth noting- there are plexiglass dividers at every station. There's a max of 3 clients. Masks are required and you are asked to sanitize when you first walk in. Yay! And I totally approve of the music- I can't explain you just have to visit and enjoy for yourself. Summary: Great value & quality local nail salon I came here on a Sunday to get a pedicure. They were slow so I walked right in and was taken care of. They offered me a menu of services, I selected the luxury, which for $25 was more than worth it. The woman working on my nails was great, lovely service, wonderful attention to detail. She was probably one of the most attentive technicians I've ever had. The only slight knock on the place is that it doesn't seem as well ventilated as others -- the smell of the polish bothered me more this time than previous pedicures at other places. Once again Steven was great. He was patient and made sure every nail was nice and smooth. However he was very aggressive when cutting the cuticles. He cut me in multiple fingers and my nails feel very sore this morning. Also, I wanted designs on all of the nails but he only did 3 on each hand. I did get to my appointment a few mins late so I didn't make a big deal out of it. However, he could've just let me know that he didn't have time to finish it, instead of pretending like he did everything that I asked for. After going to various nail salons in Gwinnett I finally found one that is superb ! On my first visit I was fully satisfied. My 1st nail tech was Tina (I think) she did an amazing job.
