I went back yesterday for a fill in and the girl said they weren't on good enough so she took them all off and charged me for a new set plus the fee for removing the old set that obviously wasn't put on very well at this same place. This was my 3rd and absolute last time at this place. The first visit about 2 and a half months ago was really good. I had a great pedicure. The second time the girl left all my toes ragged but it was an easy fix. Today was just awful. The nail tech hurt me to the point of causing 2 toes (one on each foot) to bleed while she was doing my cuticles. She literally laughed off my wince of pain blotted the blood and kept rolling. She left all my toes uneven, sharp on the edges and basically ripped off 90% of the nail on my right foot. She did not understand any English so trying to explain to her that my toes looked/felt awful was pointless. Once we got through that ordeal it took her over an hour to paint my toes. And she did a crap job! At check out I very firmly told the manager of the salon I would not be tipping she did not ask why nor did she even look at me to thank me for my business or anything. I have to update this review to let everyone know that I think this place does not sanitize their instruments? I wouldn't even be surprised if this were the case. I have gotten acrylics before in the past with no issues. But to my shock, when I was getting acrylics removed at another nail salon, I had green nails. That is DISGUSTING. I never had this issue so I was worried and my doctor said it happens to nails that are exposed to water or any bacteria under the nail. Or from unsanitary tools used. Like I stated I have never had this issue in the past, never did anything different, like going to the beach or pool, etc. I connected this incident back to this salon. I've been returning every month for my pedicures and acrylic fill. I have yet to have an issue with this salon. If you don't like something, say so before paying and leaving, and they'll fix it. This is the second time I've come here and I'd suggest going somewhere with people who won't upcharge you for random things that you didn't ask for because they assume you don't tip based off of the color of your skin. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!! Horrible customer service. Every experience I had there is always an issue. They are more concerned with getting done quickly than providing a good service. I've had a really rough tech that told me she is just "heavy handed" that was on facetime cursing her boyfriend out the entire time she was doing my pedicure and did not provide all services in my deluxe pedicure that I paid for (paraffin or massage). I've had my nails chip , break and already need a fill within a 1-3 days after getting them done here. They have cut my skin with the drill on numerous occasions and are very inconsistent with the quality of work, I've given them a lot of chances due to the convenient location but they really do not deserve the business especially when there is nail salon on every block. They advertise their fill-in for $15 but everytime I go here I always end up paying WAY MORE for my fill-in than I do for my fullest. There has been multiple times where the person doing my nails had to ask the owner how much to charge. And I get the same thing everytime and get charged differently. I asked the owner recently why were my SHORT nails $50 and she said because i got gel. I responded to see her price list and gel was only $15 extra so my total should've been $35 and not $50. I came with a friend for manicures as walk ins... was busy so there was an initial 15-20 minute wait; we were not rushed and it was early Saturday evening so no big deal! I offered a source image to the tech and got exactly what I wanted, full acrylic French set, medium length with a light point and white-pink ombré. Ran me $48, $55 with the tip. I was seen by Mary who did a phenomenal job!! I don't usually do ombré so starting off I picked a too light pink to blend so I threw her off a bit, but she switched to the darker pink when she noticed it. I can fix the issue-nail with a few rhinestones at home, no biggie! If you go ombré word or advice--choose the darker blend tint if you want your style to really pop! It's 3 dollars more to add a design too if you're interested. Mary did BEAUTIFUL work in a timely manner! No excess acrylic or curl under my nails, glossy top coat, delicate blend. It tickled me that her coworkers kept coming by excitedly to inspect her work. Definitely recommend Mary, I'll be scheduling with her from now on. read more
