Solidly okay service and great prices. Can't argue with $30 for a mani and pedi (level 2 w/ extra salt scrub). The pedi tech did a great job with scrubbing/exfoliating/etc. The polish wasn't great but it's fine. She spent a ton of time with my mom which was nice. The mani tech nailed my cuticles (get it? Nailed? Still working on my am coffee...). He aggressively removed tons of my neglected cuticle, but never never nicked me! Probably the best cuticle job I've ever had. Again the polish was just okay. The space was nice enough. A few people commented on Yelp about it needing a fresh coat of paint, and it looks like they have painted recently. They were installing new pedi chairs yesterday (the massager was way better than most nail salons!), and the floors are new, too. All in all, really happy with everything except the polish (I'm super OCD on that front so it takes a lot to earn my praise for polish). And the prices are awesome. Boon/Boom or whatever her name is (short black and brownish hair) was very rude and reckless with my hands and nails. She got mad when I told her that she was hurting me and proceeded to talk on the phone while removing my nails. I then proceeded to tell her that we would pay however much was needed for the soak off that she failed to complete due to her being so reckless and dismissive of the pain she was causing. I will not be returning back. I asked for her name multiple times and the other nail techs were hesitant to tell me (still not sure they gave me the correct name). Either way, beware. I only needed a basic manicure and pedicure, so I decided to give this place a try, despite the poor reviews. Major mistake - I won't be returning ever again. When I walked in, no one greeted me or acknowledged my presence. After almost 10 minutes, someone finally asked what I needed to get done & prepared a pedicure station for me. 5 minutes in, my stylist left me to go and work on someone else for 10 minutes while I sat there. The rest of the pedicure was uneventful, but they used basic, cheap toilet paper to separate my toes, which almost immediately fell apart. The manicure was the worst part. I had SNS from a previous nail appointment (somewhere else), and they had me soak my nails in a bowl of acetone to get it off. I've NEVER experienced this before -- usually my nails are wrapped using a cotton ball and aluminum foil. I tried to take my nails out because I could feel the acetone irritating my skin, but they insisted I keep them in. After the appointment, my fingers/hands were so dry that the skin started peeling off (see pictures.) The paint job was terrible. They didn't even attempt to clean up the edges of my nails, and I had to point out spots that they missed multiple times. When I finally left, no one said goodbye to me. It was also $40, which seemed ridiculous to me for a reg mani/pedi (no gel). Definitely wanted to write this review because many other reviews give 1-Star to more complicated procedures. I have been here many times. I won't say I absolutely love it though. The parking lot is busy most of the times. Driving in that parking lot is a nightmare because some Construction is going on and it's poorly structured. About the nail job : they are good but not always. Consistency is missing. Place gets really busy in the afternoon even on weekdays! (Mostly old people) I got the deluxe manicure (no gel) but I had gel on and they charged $5 extra to remove my polish :/ in the past they haven't charged for removing gel. Very poor customer service. The lady I had was very rude. She was snatching my hands and fingers everywhere. She was sloppy with the polish and all around rude. To top it off, she got upset with me bc the number of the color I picked didn't match the one in the bottle. I wanted a fire orange and the color showed up pink. BRAND NEW SALON. They just moved stores in the same shopping center. Now they are on the right side. This is my go-to nail salon! The women are very nice here (I love Cindy) and won't force conversation on you. They use a new pack of utensils for your pedicure and take their time. My nails always look great! No TV's or fancy decor but great massage chairs and relaxing music. Prices are amazing. They do push the gel manicure but not more than other places. Would highly recommend this salon! I'm a stickler for good customer service. Moon and Vincent are very personable and friendly, as are the other staff members. They try to get you serviced as soon as you walk in, and they usually always greet you when you walk in. They would get 5 stars, but there's an employee there that does NOT cover her nose when she sneezes (gross), and the gel polish snags my hair when my nails grow out. . . doesn't happen at the other shop I go to, but the sneezing thing does, so maybe its a cultural thing. *********************** Update: I went back here maybe in June, and they'd gotten a new guy (Idk his name, but he sat at the first station). This nail salon is no different than all the other basic standard nail salons I've been too. Nice on the inside, decent color selection. The lady doing my pedicure was kind of ruff & fast. She literally pulled my foot out of the water by my big toe at one point lol. Between the lady doing my pedicure and the other doing my manicure, not sure what type of tool they use- basically like a metal scraper- they both kept scraping at my skin with it! I told them that it was uncomfortable & I'm sure they felt me tensing the whole time but oddly enough it kept happening. Thankful no cuts were left behind. The lady doing my manicure cut me real good with a nail file tho- typical . But she treated it with alcohol & neosporin which I appreciated. But again im sure that's standard and what a technician is typically suppose to do, but I've experienced worse. Overall I paid $55 +$5 tip (which I debated if was worth it) for a pedicure & acrylic overlay with gel polish. The place I usually go to charges $45-50 . This place IS closer to my new place, but with the prices & subpar service I wouldn't mind driving a little further. I say 3 stars, but really they were a 2 1/2. Last time I was here, my nails looked great but today I am really unhappy with the results.. And it still cost me $53!! A young asian male did my gel manicure and cut me with the file. It bled a lot and I even ended up with blood under the edge of my gel. Since it's a french, you can see it. And it still hurts. He squirted something on it but didn't try to remove the blood. I let the owner know and was still charged full price. My toes were a french but the white edges are kind of huge for my little toes, takes up half the toe nail. This store had always been a decent spot for a basic mani/pedi until the tech doing my pedi took a SLICE (not even just a little cut) of the side of my big toe. She seemed to not really care too much about it. Nothing was offered either to make the situation right. She was way too rough and i dont even have thick calluses or anything. This is how people get infections. I will never go back here. Wish I had gotten her name but she was one I hadn't seen before. It's been 4 days now and it still hurts like hell; I can't wear closed shoes due to the pain. Oh and I watched how they "cleaned" the tubs; a quick spray and rinse immediately after. Today, my 10 year old daughter and I went to this nail shop for a little girl pampering time. The experience was better than expected. Normally, when I go to a nail shop on a Saturday, it's packed with a zillion customers. When I walked in, there were a few ladies being serviced (and a gentleman). My daughter and I picked out our colors and sat in the massage chair. The nail techs were very nice and when they got carried away in their original dialect, one of the ladies translated the conversation to me. I paid $54 dollars for 2 pedicures (one with a sea salt scrub and nail art), 1 full manicure, and my daughter's nails painted with a very cute design. This is my favorite nail salon. They are located in the Kroger shopping center right next door and the prices are one of the lowest in town. Service is always spot on and consistent. One of the many reasons why I like this place is that when they remove callus, they mean business. They don't just put on the lotion that softens your callus and buff it off like most places do. Once they're done removing your callus, you won't be able to find ANY in sight. That is how thorough they are. One thing I'd like to suggest for the owner and staff is that you need a lot of color variety in both regular and gel types. Nail salons always stay highly competitive and this will help you in the long run. Invest in new colors that are trendy because that is a HUGE deciding factor for us fashion forward clients. First, staff is very unfriendly. When I sat down at the chair, the man doing my nails didn't ask what shape, if I liked the color, etc. He didn't look up once actually. He used his nails (which had dirt under them) to painfully push down my cuticles. I have very short nails, I'm aware, and the man made sure to comment on it, then file them down even more. I am not reviewing this place to be a jerk. I am typing this as a warning to people who are not aware of the dangers of infection. I am also doing it in hopes that this place will improve their sanitary standards in a major way. As an operating room nurse I see some of the ugliest infections arise from the least likeliest of places... I'm talking about someone scratching a bug bite and then having half of their shoulder cut out from fresh eating bacteria. This stuff is very, very real. Seeing these realities that I've been exposed to is the reason why I decided to walk out of Pretty Nails before getting any services done this morning. The tub had built up grime on the walls and there were grime "floaties" in the water. If you can find a place where liners are used, do it (I suggest Nail Bar just a couple of miles down the street). Always make sure that the instruments used to cut your nails/skin are properly sterilized. I will note that Pretty Nails did seem to sterilize their instruments as they were brought out in a peel pack commonly used in sterilizers, HOWEVER it makes no sense at all to sterilize your instruments just to recontaminate them in a filthy tub full of other people's feet skin (what whatever random foot disease they may or may not carry). It's just common sense. They seemed to lack care for their customers health. That is a major concern. Also, the lady was pouring Drano (drain de-clogger) in the tub next to mine. Gross. I can see why they need it. Please know this- there are no guarantees that you will not get an infection. You can get them in the MOST sterile of environments (the hospital operating room). Just make sure that you do everything in your power to prevent one and find clean places when deciding upon having your skin and nail care done. read more

I have not always had a bad experience, but there is one lady that works here that always ends up making my experience miserable, and after my last experience I will never be back. She tried to talk me into shellac for about 10 minutes even thought I did not want this that evening, did a terrible job painting my nails, and was super rude. I said something about the job she did and how she was being rude and she apologized and said she was having a bad day. I've been here before to get a fill - in on some acrylics but this time decided to get a full set...horrible decision! The lady doing my nails was impatient with me selecting a color and didn't shape my coffin nails properly. My fingers were also bleeding from her cutting my cuticles and pushing back on my nails. I never got an apology nor did the lady even budge. Long story short, my nails looked horrible and I would have to work on them myself if I were to keep them this way. ($40 including tip) I decided to go to another nail shop who fixed my nails and reshaped them, however I had to pay them additionally. ($29 including tip) A week later before going to bed, I'm washing my face and I kid you not...my nail broke off. A new set of nails shouldn't break off in a week. They open at 10am (I went on a Monday so I'm not sure about the rest of the week). I did have to wait about 15-20 minutes (I got there around 10:30) but I was not in a hurry so it was no big deal. I got the hot stone pedicure ($30) and the SNS nails. They say me at a pedicure chair and started doing my SNS while I waited for the pedicurist. Both took their time and paid attention to detail. Pretty new with a great massager. They scrubbed out the sink before I hoped in. The less good: my nails were definitely three stars in terms of work. Still had some cuticle issues and the polish wasn't totally even on my toes. The pedicure itself was a solid ok. Not great but not bad (massage, nail trim, foot scrub etc.) I'd come again in a pinch since it was a breeze to get in. For the $16 basic pedicure price it's a fairly good deal.
