Came here 21st of March 2026 and ordered the steak, beet salad with goat cheese and mashed potatoes. 25 minutes later I was served a few tiny strips of cold tasteless steak, a cut up beet with a few feta chunks and cold mashed potatoes. I asked the server if she could get me a drink (because the QR code does not work), she said go to the register. Terrible cold food and fast food level service. Hopefully a real restaurant will take the space when this place fails. read more

Great place! Very welcoming and lovely staff (especially Sofia). Great place to study and love the decoration and ambiance in here! Food is also great with filling portions! read more

Great selections of salads and other items. You order right as you walk in on the screens, which is odd because if someone comes up right behind you, you feel the pressure to pick something quickly and go to a table...there should be another option, maybe order from the phone at your table? I get it, every business is trying to reduce labor costs. Overall, good ambience, clean but still need to work on customer service a bit (maybe that's why they have you start with the screens). read more

Always amazing. Food is always great. Tara and Chenel were great servers! So happy to have this location close by!

Really great place and the food is amazing! India was an amazing cashier and was so kind!

Vinny provided the absolute best dining experience! I went in for dinner after studying for finals at UC Davis, and got a chicken plate with baked potatoes. Not only was the dish great, but the portions were amazing AND Vinny provided me with free sides of avocado. He is a great person and brings positive energy to the environment as a whole. Definitely coming back to Urban Plates! read more

Vinny and Brooklyn were so helpful! I came with a group of friends and the food came out quick. I got the salmon and it was really good. I would highly recommend coming here. read more

Highly recommend this restaurant. Clean atmosphere and clean food. President and regional manager were there and very kind. staff was very attentive and food was great. They in-house make their gluten-free bread and I would highly recommend for those on a GF diet. Thank you for your generosity Manny. read more

This is a great spot. I super appreciate clear dietary information about each menu item and wondering offerings for paleo and keto customers. The space is open and comfortable, and the staff are super helpful. I'm glad I found it and will definitely return when I am in the area. I wish I had one where I live. read more

The food is good and there are lots of options. The service still needs some tweaking. I've eaten here three times and consistently the waiters are overbearing with trying to clear plates. I was still eating my food yesterday when two separate servers asked to clear my plate when I still had food on my plate and in my mouth. I think over the course of a 60 min meal the servers came to ask if they could clear plates almost 15 times. It got fairly annoying trying to enjoy my meal and friend. Secondly, the food came out at varying times with a salad coming out last trailing the main course by 10 mins. Even in a casual place, consider timing. Food shouldn't come out in courses but no one wants to eat their salad last. These are customer service issues that will make the dining experience much more enjoyable. read more

The menu has great variety and I had a great lunch! Good seating, I side and out. Will definitely return

The service is really great here! The servers were attentive, shoutout to Vinny! The food is super flavorful and tasted amazing!

Vinny was awesome, kept checking up on us. Food was so good too and very filling as well. Would definitely come back for a date!

great food and fair prices! definitely worth it! Very kind staff and good portion sizes

Spacious, modern and clean restaurant; like a hybrid food hall. The beef stew had decent flavor, a bit salty, but came in a paltry portion, mostly sauce with 2 large mushrooms and small dry chewy beef chunks, and a small thin slide of toast, too small to dip all the sauce. It was a cheap imitation of Austrian goulash. The "truffle fries" were just normal steak fries with a plastic cup of truffle cream, and arrived well after I finished the beef stew in about 7 spoonfuls. Overall, decent flavor, inadequate quality and portion size, overpriced poor value. Don't expect quality and value of an established mid-tier sit-down restaurant. read more

The food here is excellent. Blackened salmon is great; the roasted potatoes are perfect; the barramundi is also great. Good quality.

First I would like to say the service and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is not big but we were able to find seating, the decor or the restaurant is very modern which you could either wait to order at the register or use a kiosk by the front door. We were there on Thanksgiving so we both had the Turkey plate, which features the juiciest herb roasted turkey I have ever tasted. We got the mashed potatoes with gravy and mushroom stuffing as our 2 sides. Both were delicious but my only gripe would be the little amount of gravy we received, 3 bites of the mashed potatoes and the gravy was gone. Hopefully this will get fixed by my next visit. The rustic bread was very crispy and tasty and went well with the meal. My least favorite of the plate was the cranberries relish, it tasted so strange, and did not complement the meal. I left it on my plate as it was not enjoyable. With the drinks I was so confused with the Stubborn soda, on the menu board it just says Stubborn soda and nothing on what variety of soda they have. I had to look behind the counter to the machine to see what variety they had. The print on the machines are very small so if there were seniors I don't think they would be able to see the small print. Just put the names on the board and save everyone a headache. We both got the cola and it tasted ok, would much rather have a better tasting soda so I was not happy with my choice. I would recommend this restaurant for the younger generation as it has new tech like ordering kiosks, using apps on phones to order from the table and possible seating issues if you have mobility issues. Being this restaurant has only been open a month there is room for improvement and I will definitely have to come back and try the other items on the menu. read more

The customer service provided by Nikki and Chenel were very attentive and accommodating. They provided adequate guidance on the menu items and provided excellent recommendations. I ended up getting the chicken bowl and mango tart slice. Both were super delicious the chicken was juicy and tender and the tart was very sweet and had a nice pie crunch. I would definitely recommend someone to come back here for the great aesthetic, accommodating/welcoming space, and great food. read more

The food and service was good. However, why I will not recommend this place is because the owner of the restaurant charges you an extra 3% on your bill to help pay for their employees' medical care. Since when is it OK for customers to pay for employer's medical cost for their employees? When I got my receipt, I saw the charge. They say they post it by the register, but if you're not looking for it, you don't see it. read more
