We set up a time and they brought the car to me since I was local! Not only were these gentlemen trustworthy, Eric is a skilled mechanic and only presents the BEST of the BESt in his used cars. The 1997 Buick LeSabre had 130K miles, and a super clean engine, interior and purred like a kitty cat. Eric and his father insisted that we take the car for a test drive and we did, and we LOVED it for our son! Eric worked with us on the payments and we are ever so grateful since our son really needs a reliable and safe car for work and such. I literally drive my car to work less than 1o minutes away from my home. Today I'm driving home and I get a check engine light, auxiliary battery light on and auto start notification so I head straight to the dealer which happens to be Vallejo Jeep. I made my purchase in Napa and bought new but this was the dealer who had checked the vehicle 2 weeks prior for recalls. My engine is struggling and idling high and of course they run a diagnostic on it and coincidentally they tell me I need to replace the crankshaft and and some other part that of course isn't covered under powertrain warranty. This is going to be over $3000 with their applied discounts. Why have I never had any issues before? Why only after they put their hands on my jeep. I do have a camera in my vehicle and will definitely be going through my footage as it picks up audio and video from inside and outside vehicle. I am very upset and honestly feel like I'm being scammed and I did let them know that. I already have trust issues with this dealership because in taking it there before just for simple maintenance fluids were supposed to be replaced and tires rotated and they were not. I put more trust in Jiffy Lube and that says a lot. So if they end up redeeming themselves I will gladly change my review. For now I just have to give things the benefit of the doubt. Am I pissed? Yes, very because this is just too coincidental. My car literally drives to and from work 10 minutes away, no long trips or off-roading. I will update my review once my vehicle is finished with service. I thought it was too good to be true, especially coming from a used car dealership. I called them and they agreed to stay open late since I was coming all the way from Pleasanton after work. When I got there, they were very friendly and genuine. There was no pressure to buy it and they let me take my time looking at it even though it was already getting pretty late. They had the Carfax available and even called the previous owner to confirm the maintenance stated on the Carfax had been done. The owner has a little shop on-site and he offered to perform the 60k maintenance and inspection that it was due for. He inspected the vehicle and changed the brakes, spark plugs, and oil. I put down a deposit and came back the following evening to pick it up. They stayed opened late again and were very professional with all of the paperwork. I've had my car for about 2 weeks now and haven't had any problems.
