I am in the market to purchase a new vehicle. I've been searching on carfax and found a couple of cars I liked at Taj Auto Group. A FX50 and a 2013 Lexus RX. Yesterday I checked out both cars. Let's start with customer service. There was none whatsoever. I'm not asking you to hop through hoops but at the least have some type of personality. I started the FX50 and the coolant began to boil. When I say boil I mean boil like your boiling water. That's a sign of radiator issues. I let the salesman know that he might want to handle that before he sells it. The second car which was the Lexus was a pretty good car. I decided to make my choice and come back. Today I got approved for a car loan through my bank and decided to hit up this location. I asked to test drive the FX50 and the Lexus RX. I asked the salesman was he willing to fix the radiator issue and he says "what issue?". I state the issue from the previous day. Mind you I have the same car except it's a V6. I know a lot about Infiniti's from having one. He start the car and I ask him to turn on the air conditioner on high. The salesman says "You have to wait until the car warms up before you turn the air conditioner on". Total bs. You shouldn't have to warm up a car to turn the air on and coolant should never boil. I asked about a warranty and he says "there's no warranty because they don't make these cars anymore". I ask would he provide some type of warranty and he said "no it's as is". I said okay and took the Lexus for a test drive. To end this long story if you buy here bring a mechanic. Be mindful that this place lacks customer service and they will not go out their way to make a decent impression. Make sure you get a car with a warranty . I was tempted to buy the Lexus but decided to keep going in my search. Nothing special about this place. Just a place where they buy cars from the auction and do the bare minimum to get them off the lot. read more

Let me tell you about this dealership!!!! This owner Tamer Amamreh is the best sales man/ owner I've ever bought a car from and I'm 54 bought plenty of cars from plenty of dealerships. He's a honest reliable man. I bought a Maserati, that had a problem he wasn't aware of, he sent me to his mechanic that couldn't figure it out paid for something that wasn't broke.. the problem continued he DID NOT hesitate to send it to Maserati to find out the real problem.. ( who wants to go to Maserati to fix they Maserati when they have a mechanic) This man asked no questions whatsoever. Didn't second guess them didn't try to get out of fixing it, because it was expensive. I told him how much it was to fix the problem and he paid for it.. now don't get it twisted as is means as is but due to the circumstances surrounding this issue he took full responsibility. I recommend him to everyone my next car is a Bentley and if he has it right color right price he has my business for life! You looking check his lot first he a real one! read more

I bought a car from TJA motors on Sonoma boulevard I'm writing you guys to let you know not to purchase a car from this used car lot they sold me a lemon I've only had the car for nine months and in the nine months the master cylinder, brake fluid reservoir the TLC modulator and the transmission has gone out on this car. I am on a fixed income and I purchased this car for my daughter so that she can get back-and-forth to work and to school I know I purchase this car as it is but there is no way that this car should have this many problems the first time I took it back after a month and I told him I could not afford to fix it and he paid for it to be fixed for me where they do that at he had to know it was something wrong with the car because he was too quick to pay for the Services and now I am in financial debt of $10,000 for a car that doesn't even work and he's not trying to talk to me about it so I just will like to let everybody else know please don't purchase any cars from this guy you'll be wasting your money read more

The positive posts on here must be friends of the con artist at this dealership. This guy sold my husband a GMC with parts on it that literally were glued together and put back on to look like they worked. We ended up replacing more parts on this car in the last 3 months then we did the entire time I've had my VW. Then when we called him to try to find out what the hell happened he won't return calls or voicemails. read more

SCAMMERS - BEWARE... They knowingly sell unreliable cars with defects! Don't even think about purchasing a vehicle from this place. I recently purchased a vehicle and had to spend $1200+ to fix by VW DEALERSHIP. This also took many visits to repair shops and lots of my time. The convertible top broke 3 days after I purchased, the engine sign showed up two days after. It's been over a month now since I purchased the vehicle and new issues continue to arise. Now I have to replace Thermostat. The seller/owner did not stand behind his word on fixing the vehicle and his preferred mechanics couldn't even fix any problems. TAJ Auto is a SCAM!! You will end up spending your valuable time and $$$ trying to troubleshoot defects. Unreliable! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AND GET CONNED OUT OF YOUR $$$$. read more

Engine is toast. Ac issues from day one. Nice SUV... Bad motor. Rings are so worn oil filled the Catylitic Convertor within 1000 miles. We are out 10 grand. TAJ stated they receiced the vehicle as a trade and had it for several months. Vehicle had been repainted and all this was disclosed. However, less then 1000 miles, wife and I now have a useless vehicle with a 10 thousand dollar debt to be paid. He still sold us the vehicle knowing she is pregnant and this would be the vehicle she depends on to goto her visits and labor. Only thing that matters obviously is that they make a dollar off you no matter what situation that puts you and your family in. Lawsuit will be pushed against TAJ Auto Group if they continue to dodge my calls and decline to rectify this situation. We haven't even made our 2nd payment yet. I am thankful I didn't trade my working car. read more

My experience was fine at this dealership - and I have no reservation at all about walking away from a business if my experience isn't how I prefer. The Owner, Tamer, was very nice and accommodating and seemed to actually be concerned that the deal we were making was equitable. He encouraged me to use his services to help obtain a better price if I ever need vehicle repair, and took the time to explain the process to me (though as an avid 'car-guy' I am already familiar with the car-buying process). Tamer is one of the most down to earth professionals i've met in this industry, he went out of his way when it came to finding a bank that would give me the lowest apr for my auto financing. To be honest, at first thought maybe I was being given the switch and bait when the truck I drove four hours to see was missing several of the options listed, which I really wanted. But I do believe it was an honest mistake, and Tim the salesman and part-owner did his best to make it right. He was a true gentleman, and while I would have rather had the options than the adjustment he made, I feel it was a fair compromise, and I could tell he truly felt bad about the mistake. It wasn't a deal breaker, I bought the truck and I'm happy with the deal I got. Tim (Taj Auto) just moved into their new location that same day, and he is indeed a very nice guy who will treat you fair. Good luck Tim in your new facility. Yikes. I have never had so many straight out of the textbook one-liner "I'm trying to cut you deal" lines thrown at me (aggressively and rudely at that) in a matter of minutes. He kept telling me he was trying to sell me a car "that wasn't really for sale" because he was doing me a favor, and I should take the deal and run and not burden him with any questions. He was extremely annoyed when I asked him if I could have my mechanic look at the car to make sure it was in the great shape he claimed it was in - and essentially refused. I was being extra cautious because I had already heard bad things about this place. Someone I know bought a car here and within 3 months the engine and transmission both failed. Why did I even give him a chance after that you ask? Because of the 5 star yelp status (which IM here to correct). I hoped that what happened to my friend's friend was a fluke... but now I can really attest to the fact that this guy is not to be trusted. STAY AWAY at all costs. And if you go, dont buy the orange Mitsubishi Eclipse that he's "not selling" especially. Its apparently worth 7,100 but he was just going to "give it to me for 3k because he didn't want to fix a few cosmetic issues" - hm. He must think I am stupid. read more
