I locked myself out of my shop in Costa Mesa on a Sunday afternoon. It was a bit late but I decided to go on yelp in the hope that they would be able to help me out with my situation. They answered the phone right away and told me there was a guy on his way who would be there in 20 minutes. I was informed that there was an $80 fee to come out plus whatever work was required to open the door. Simon arrived within the time I was given. The fact that they were available on a Sunday after 5pm was super helpful. I understand that they have to charge a fee to come out and cannot give an accurate estimate because the job can vary in difficulty depending on the type of lock. As a business owner myself, I run in to the same situation where some jobs can take longer than others, so sometimes it can be difficult to give customers an exact quote until you start on the job. In the end, I feel like their price was fair considering the fact that it was on a late Sunday afternoon. I will refer them to my friends and neighbors who might need their services. read more

I was locked out of my house so called Unlock Mobile Locksmith. The gentleman showed up in 40 minutes as the dispatcher stated. He was very pleasant and understanding of the situation. He had to pick through three locks to get into my house. The deadbolt needed some drilling and to be taken apart to get it open. When it came time to pay he was evasive on the amount just wanting the card information. He never stated the amount I would be charged and I forgot to ask before he started doing the work I was feeling desperate to get into my house. The charge was $750 to get the three locks open. I felt this is very excessive and they took advantage of the situation. He was at my home about 40 minutes total. Yes I got into my home but feel I was taken for a ride on the cost. Proceed with caution with this company and get an estimate up front. read more

He did his best to try to figure out how I could get my service services done at the cheapest price possible so I have no issues with any of them and his work. He did an amazing job. My concerns are specifically with management and their lack of transparency. They were not up front with the costs, and it's my fault for not asking bc I just assumed that I would cost the same as every other time Ive had to use a locksmith. ($100 max). Honestly, I would have let this go, but now that this business chose to LIE in their response to my review, I feel the need now to warn others calling this service before they choose to utilize their services. I indeed did tell them I would call them back after my initial phone call asking about their unlock services. Reason I had to think about it is because the amount disclosed to me was $105. Just to visit my location for the initial consultation, not including any unlocking. I thought that was a bit pricey just to come see the lock, therefore I had to think about it. I called back and agreed with them to come in and check out the lock. Now, this is my fault and I should have asked the tech after he saw the lock, how much the whole thing would be before he started his work. I was naive enough to think that it might not be that much because the the tech said "oh this one should be an easy one and shouldn't take very long" (I will add a picture below of the lock) I expected the whole thing to be way under $200 at least (which is also too much for this work). After he finished -less than 10 min, I asked how much, he said $294. I took a deep breath and said "wow that's a lot" then he went on to say how this is a last minute weekend accommodation, showing up within the hour, blah blah. I proceeded to pay with Zelle. I felt uneasy about it the whole time. The only Pricing we discussed was the initial $105 consultation. THAT'S IT! If I knew up front it would be $294, I would Not have agreed to the service. I would have told my husband to physically try to break the door frame to get inside. The average cost of replacing a door frame is $270, still cheaper than this unlock service. Now this is sad that I have to write out the entire conversation, but i was compelled to. I too run a business, and I would never rip off my clientele in this way and then fabricate the whole story to make the customer seem at fault. This is disappointing. Especially because I said I loved the service and the kind demeanor in my review. I only complained about the price. Which I still stand by and think is ridiculous. Btw, no receipt was offered. You talk about how important it is to run a business with the expenses, insurance, etc and still no receipt or proof of work? If it's legitimate, this would be an important step. I shouldn't have to write this. I probably still would have recommended this business to others even though it's pricey. But now, no way. Good luck guys, learn better business. read more
