David did an excellent job in changing our wrought iron gate lock. I didn't even bother to get other estimates after reading his wonderful reviews and that he guarantees his work for one year. He was a great communicator from start to finish. He charged a fair price. He is really kind and cares about doing the job right. I will definitely call David in the future if I need to change my other locks. Thanks David!!! read more

Our front door Baldwin lock's latch bolt was catching on the strike plate rendering the door useless. David from Golden Locksmith arrived exactly when he said he'd arrive and promptly disassembled the lock and diagnosed the problem. Within 40 minutes, he removed the mechanism, replaced the damaged pieces with Baldwin parts, reinstalled, tested and made the necessary final adjustments. The lock works flawlessly now. Great service. Punctual, courteous and cordial. I am a new customer and provide my highest recommendation for Golden Locksmith. read more

What fantastic, professional service! We had locked ourselves out of a room because our door handle broke. David replaced the door handle and redid the latch correctly (since it needed to be fixed). He taught us how to fix the door handles in the future and checked our other doors for us as well.i could tell he took pride in doing quality work. Not only that but he came out quickly on an emergency call and was prompt and polite. 10 out of 10! read more

Last week, something odd happened to our front door's main lock. I was inside of the home and my husband was coming back from running an errand. Despite inserting his key into the keyhole, the door wouldn't open. I was inside of the home and I unlocked it from my side of the door and the lock would not release. The lock was broken from inside of the unit! I was in a state of panic because I could not open the door from the inside and it would not open from the outside. So, I scrolled through some Yelp Reviews and found Golden Locksmith. I called them right away and explained the situation. They asked for photos from both sides of the door so that he could see a clear view of the type of lock that was on our front door. I was given a price quote to start and they said that they'd be on their way soon. David arrived within an hour and I brought him in through the sliding glass door. We live in an HOA community, and he wanted to avoid damaging the door. So, working from the inside was ideal. David explained everything to me and showed me where the defective portion of the lock was located. He was able to release the lock and get the front door open. We had a choice of putting a new lock on the door or having him rebuild the lock while putting new parts in. We chose to have him rebuild the lock with new parts and to rekey it so that the keys to enter the home would remain the same. He also noticed that our door had shifted and he repaired that for us too so that it was balanced once again. He also told me that he wants me to be confident in our choice to rebuild the lock. If this lock breaks or we have any issues with it within the next 30 days, he'll put a whole new lock on for us and apply the difference from the rebuild to the purchase of a new lock. I really like that there was open communication between the customer and the business. He was very confident in the work that he performed and his work ethic was incredible. This was an emergency situation and it could have been worse for us if we had come home late at night and could not have gained entry into our home through the front door. I now have Golden Locksmith's number programmed into my contacts just in case another issue like this arises in the future. read more

Great communication, fast and honest service, reliable and knowledgeable. Thank you Golden Locksmith!

I called David after the locksmith I had worked with previously flaked on me three times without so much as an apology or phone call. David was incredibly professional and polite over the phone. We spoke around 11:30/Noon and he was able to come out by early afternoon. Ahead of his visit he asked to see photos of the locks we needed replaced. He then gave me a thorough quote that included the types of locks I could choose from (heavy duty vs light duty, etc.) When he was on his way he messaged with his ETA and messaged again upon arrival. His demeanor is very pleasant and he was incredibly thorough and clear when describing the work he would be doing. He worked efficiently and kept me apprised along the way. He is clearly very knowledgeable and has a great eye, ensuring the replacement locks matched what we had previously as well as the doors and style of our home. He completed the following work: Replaced a deadbolt & rekeyed to match Replaced a gate lock & rekeyed to match Installed a digital/smart lock & rekeyed Helped with set up of smart lock I heartily recommend David and would hire him again in a heartbeat! read more

I had three doors with some sort of lock issue and I'd had enough! I wasn't sure if they might be able to be repaired, or must be replaced. I called a couple of places to explain what I needed and get quotes. I went with Golden Locksmith because they listened to my need, asked me if I wanted to send text images of what I wanted fixed instead of claiming they needed to come out (for a fee) to give me an estimate! Instead, they quickly offered options & provided an estimate via text. David, the owner, made time for me in his busy schedule for the very next day and brought everything needed to complete the work I elected to have done. He really knows what he's doing and worked diligently to replace all three locks with more secure options in just a few hours! He even adjusted my doors which had shifted/settled to ensure the locks functioned optimally. It wasn't the least expensive option, but was very competitive for what we got & feeling secure in my home is a priority. I highly recommend David and his business! read more

This review is extremely long overdue, but I want the people of Yelp to know how fantastic David is. About a year ago, I was faced with a situation where I feared for my safety in my home and required locksmith services to increase the security in my home. This was an urgent matter and I was able to connect with David right away. He was able to come out quickly to switch out my locks. There was some confusion about pricing when we discussed estimates originally, but David made adjustments as needed and handled the situation professionally. After switching out my locks, he shared some additional safety tips with me. He demonstrated that he really cares about his customers and wants to make sure they are pleased with his service. I would recommend David in the future, especially if you have an urgent need for locksmith services. read more

Great job by David He responded very quick to my needs for a new lock installation. Since I wanted the Schlage sense, he gave me options on how to install it so I wouldn't have to return it. Was very honest and straightforward and even included two new locks for free. He even helped me setup the Schlage sense lock as well and touched up the old holes from my ring doorbell. Very friendly and helpful. Would use again for all my lock needs. read more

Beware OWNER David prays on peoples basic lack of being handy. Requested a single lock to be fixed and was quote $250, asked if I bought the part (which cost me $8.60 - that's including the tax) what he'd charge for installation. I was quoted $150. I'm a single mom with a super busy schedule and was appalled by his business standards. I went and fixed it myself.... AND it took less than ONE MINUTE. BEWARE!!! read more
