They do not give quotes over the phone, even a ballpark estimate unless they are already there. 195 + 55 service fee to unlock 1 regular door lock (not even a deadbolt). Premium. Called and would not give me a quote over the phone for a car lockout and repeated "no charge to come out, price will be given on site". When the person arrived, it was not who I spoke to on the phone and I was quoted $275. Another locksmith had just quoted me $75 and could have came in less than an hour. He asked if I could come up to $120 and I settled at $100 because I felt bad he was already here. He then kept saying that it is impossible for the other locksmith to only charge $75. This practice of not providing a quote until they are on-site is dishonest, and a little scummy. Just provide a quote over the phone so that I don't feel pressured to pay your rate. However, the locksmith was quick to arrive and worked very quickly. I wouldn't say he took care in the work, but the job was completed. He used the air-wedge to open the door just a crack, then used the hook to unlock and open the door. Would look elsewhere first and make sure you get multiple quotes if possible. read more

Good: Quick to respond. Arrived in less than 2 hours to fix our door lock that was stuck. Fixed the door lock quickly. So if you just need it done and done quickly, this is a good guy to call. We have an Anderson storm door with multi point locks (bottom and top). He helped us remove the top and bottom so we can use the middle lock and misalignment won't happen again any time soon. Cons: Started with heavy pressure and caused damage to the doorframe without trying other less forceful methods or informing us first before jamming the tools in. Now we need to fix the door frame and small part of the door edge. Didn't use a lot of care or mention the damage before or after. Quoted price for the door part was high but we got it for a fraction of the price from the official company of the door brand. Overall, we are very happy the door handle is working again... I'm just a little disgruntled about needing to repair the cosmetic damage. read more

If you're looking for a bare minimum amount of customer service then do not use D&M. They contract out to random unqualified and unfriendly who bring their spouses with them jut sitting on your property. Technicians did not attempt to fix the issue he immediately went to the most expensive option without any trouble shooting and spent their entire time talking on his phone. I tried to ask some simple question but the tech became aggressive and cut me off anytime I tried to speak. I felt uncomfortable with the situation so told him I've decided to take my car to another mechanic at this time he became upset and wouldn't give me my keys back, dangling them in his hand until I sent him $30 for the visit. I understand that he must be paid for his services but this whole thing was beyond unacceptable from a client/customer standpoint. Don't trust shell companies that outsource their labor with zero accountability. Absolute waste of time and $30. Oh and the tech also told me to go f#ck myself as he left. Great service. Very disappointed with SIMKO Locksmith company/technician sent through the D&M Locksmith portal. He arrived a little late, no problem. Once here, he took the plate off my door latch; told me I must replace the entire lock but for this type of lock it would be around a $1,000 but he'd try to help me with the price. He left charging me $169 for the service call, taking 6 screws out but not even putting the screws back in properly. He told me he'd call later that day to see if his office had the part/door latch in stock. Later that day, no call. Next day, no call. I texted him asking if he had any luck finding the necessary part(s). No response. So come the weekend, my wife and I took a chance to take apart the lock to troubleshoot and fix the problem ourselves. We did this in about 2 hrs. with no new parts. It works fine now. He didn't even try. That is not service! read more

I felt that he was dishonest in his price and was try to get the most money out of me. Came out within 30 minutes. Super fast response. I asked for the price upfront and he mentioned that it would be $29 response fee then $120 minimum. I was told that it could be more depending upon the programming fees and fees from dealer to purchase the code. I'm the end it was $235 for the key with the +29 for the visit fee. I have to say that a competitor was the same price but gave a 3-4 hour response time. So worth it to me. I got a second key for extra $85. If I had gone to the dealer for the second key which I had been missing as well, it probably would have been the same price as this entire visit. So, again, worth it. Please no one use this company. On July 4th, my neighbor locked herself out of her house. Her husband, who is in a wheelchair, was in the car ready to leave to go to an event. It must have been 85-95 degrees outdoors so you know it was much hotter in the car. Due to the heat, I told her to leave and go, I will take care of it due to the heat and her husband. I called several locksmiths. They all told me they could not give me price untill they geet out to the house. So my 4th locksmith, I just told them to come out. The guy was here in 15 minutes. He unlocked the door within 10 minutes. He ould not give me a price until the end. $1000.00. I told my neighbor after he left as I was dumbfounded but i was stuck as the work was done. I asked a few questions (as new customer, my questions were just normal questions), she then became really impatient and then said things to me ironically. (2). What I do not like is that they do not want to tell you the price of their service in phone, they tell you when they come here (which they charge $29 for this trip no matter what). This puts you in a bad position, and I think they do this on purpose. Ultimately, they charged more than the dealer would charge me. (3). They came to my home really quick, which was good. read more

My car is stuck in the parking lot at my place of employment because of the key issue. Their website advertised 24 hour service. Called earlier in the day to confirm that they could make my key and that they could meet me late at night. Told the girl that I would be off work around 1130. She assured me that I would not need to set up an appointment and to just call when I was about to be off work and they would take care of me. Later that night around midnight, when I called, the gentleman who answered the phone got my details and told me that the field technician would give me a courtesy call within 10 minutes. That didn't happen. 1.5 hours later I called to see if they were still coming and the guy answering the phone apologized and said he would prompt the field technician again. After another hour+ of waiting I decided to leave my car there another night and uber home so I could get some sleep. Thanks for wasting my time and the money I had to spend on the uber, D&M. What a saga! They replaced our Baldwin lockset with a non-Baldwin lockset, which sits very loose in the door, requires an uneven 270 degree turn to lock the door but only about a 75 degree turn to unlock it, and uses a generic key, not a nice Baldwin key. For this poor service, we paid $429!! Plus, it took more than a week to get the final lockset installed!! Ridiculous. read more
